Summaries under the cut
The Chronicles of Prydain by Lloyd Alexander
Taran wanted to be a hero, and looking after a pig wasn't exactly heroic, even though Hen Wen was an oracular pig. But the day that Hen Wen vanished, Taran was led into an enchanting and perilous world. With his band of followers, he confronted the Horned King and his terrible Cauldron-Born. These were the forces of evil, and only Hen Wen knew the secret of keeping the kingdom of Prydain safe from them. But who would find her first?
The Trumpet of the Swan by E. B. White
Louie is very popular. Who wouldn't love a swan who can read, write, and play the trumpet? When Louie goes to camp, he meets a boy named A.G. who doesn't like birds, and since Louie is a bird, that means he doesn't like Louie. When A.G. pulls a dangerous stunt out on the lake, he realizes that Louie is a hero, after all.
My Side of the Mountain by Jean Craighead George
Every kid thinks about running away at one point or another; few get farther than the end of the block. Young Sam Gribley gets to the end of the block and keeps going--all the way to the Catskill Mountains of upstate New York. There he sets up house in a huge hollowed-out tree, with a falcon and a weasel for companions and his wits as his tool for survival. In a spellbinding, touching, funny account, Sam learns to live off the land, and grows up a little in the process. Blizzards, hunters, loneliness, and fear all battle to drive Sam back to city life. But his desire for freedom, independence, and adventure is stronger. No reader will be immune to the compulsion to go right out and start whittling fishhooks and befriending raccoons.
The Black Stallion by Walter Farley
Alec Ramsay is the sole human survivor of a devastating shipwreck. Trapped on a deserted island, Alec finds his only companion is a horse, beautiful, unbroken, and savage . . . a horse whose beauty matches his wild spirit.
The Magisterium by Holly Black and Cassandra Clare
All his life, Call has been warned by his father to stay away from magic. To succeed at the Iron Trial and be admitted into the vaunted Magisterium school would bring bad things. But he fails at failing. Only hard work, loyal friends, danger, and a puppy await.
The Two Princesses of Bamarre by Gail Carson Levine
Twelve-year-old Addie admires her older sister Meryl, who aspires to rid the kingdom of Bamarre of gryphons, specters, and ogres. Addie, on the other hand, is fearful even of spiders and depends on Meryl for courage and protection. Waving her sword Bloodbiter, the older girl declaims in the garden from the heroic epic of Drualt to a thrilled audience of Addie, their governess, and the young sorcerer Rhys.
But when Meryl falls ill with the dreaded Gray Death, Addie must gather her courage and set off alone on a quest to find the cure and save her beloved sister. Addie takes the seven-league boots and magic spyglass left to her by her mother and the enchanted tablecloth and cloak given to her by Rhys - along with a shy declaration of his love. She prevails in encounters with tricky specters (spiders too) and outwits a wickedly personable dragon in adventures touched with romance and a bittersweet ending.
Bunnicula by Deborah and James Howe
Before it's too late, Harold the dog and Chester the cat must find out the truth about the newest pet in the Monroe household -- a suspicious-looking bunny with unusual habits... and fangs!
Beka Cooper by Tamora Pierce
Beka Cooper is a rookie with the law-enforcing Provost's Guard, commonly known as "the Provost's Dogs," in Corus, the capital city of Tortall. To the surprise of both the veteran "Dogs" and her fellow "puppies," Beka requests duty in the Lower City. The Lower City is a tough beat. But it's also where Beka was born, and she's comfortable there.
Beka gets her wish. She's assigned to work with Mattes and Clary, famed veterans among the Provost's Dogs. They're tough, they're capable, and they're none too happy about the indignity of being saddled with a puppy for the first time in years. What they don't know is that Beka has something unique to offer. Never much of a talker, Beka is a good listener. So good, in fact, that she hears things that Mattes and Clary never could - information that is passed in murmurs when flocks of pigeons gather ... murmurs that are the words of the dead.
In this way, Beka learns of someone in the Lower City who has overturned the power structure of the underworld and is terrorizing its citizens into submission and silence. Beka's magical listening talent is the only way for the Provost's Dogs to find out the identity of this brutal new underlord, for the dead are beyond fear. And the ranks of the dead will be growing if the Dogs can't stop a crime wave the likes of which has never been seen. Luckily for the people of the Lower City, the new puppy is a true terrier!
Fairest by Gail Carson Levine
In the kingdom of Ayortha, who is the fairest of them all? Certainly not Aza. She is thoroughly convinced that she is ugly. What she may lack in looks, though, she makes up for with a kind heart, and with something no one else has-a magical voice. Her vocal talents captivate all who hear them, and in Ontio Castle they attract the attention of a handsome prince - and a dangerous new queen.
Trickster's Duology by Tamora Pierce
Alianne is the teenage daughter of the famed Alanna, the first lady knight in Tortall. Young Aly follows in the quieter footsteps of her father, however, delighting in the art of spying. When she is captured and sold as a slave to an exiled royal family in the faraway Copper Islands, it is this skill that makes a difference in a world filled with political intrigue, murderous conspiracy, and warring gods.

This is the Station ID of GMA in 2005. This is also the first Station ID to feature an orchestra. The Station ID features Martin Nievera as the conductor, Sharon Cuneta as the concertmaster, Piolo Pascual as the pianist, Ryan Agoncillo as the guitarist, Janno Gibbs as the drummer, Ritz Azul as the Flute player, Arcee Muñoz as the Oboe player, Eula Caballero as the Clarinet player, Fernando Poe Jr. as the English Horn player, Mark Gil as the Bass Clarinet player, Christopher de Leon as the Bassoon player, Rodolfo "Dolphy" Quizon as the trumpeter, Alice Dixson as the French Horn player, Tuesday Vargas as the Trombone player, Coco Martin as the Tuba player, Bayani Agbayani as the Euphonium Player, Raymond Bagatsing as the Baritone Horn Player, Richard Gomez as the Timpani player, EJ Falcon as the Mellophone player, Ruffa Gutierrez as the glass harp player, IC Mendoza as the glass harmonica player and the orchestra players, Heart Evangelista, Erich Gonzales, Dimples Romana, Sam Milby, Arjo Atayde, Bea Alonzo, Hero Angeles, Maja Salvador, Edu Manzano, Jericho Rosales, Amy Perez, Jodi Sta. Maria, Lucy Torres-Gomez as the First Violinists, Aga Muhlach, Derek Ramsay, Eric Fructuoso, JM de Guzman, RK Bagatsing, Mel Martinez, Rene Hawkins, Patrick Garcia, Justin Cuyugan and Empoy Marquez as the Second Violinists, Judy Ann Santos, Maricel Soriano, Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, Paolo Ballesteros. Epy Quizon, Eric Quizon, and Vandolph as the Viola players, Eddie Gutierrez, Tonton Gutierrez, Janine Gutierrez, Richard Gutierrez, Raymond Gutierrez, Geoff Eigenmann, Gabby Eigenmann, Andi Eigenmann, Rufa Mae Quinto, Susan Roces, DingDong Avanzado, Niño Muhlach and Michael de Mesa as the Cello players and Richard Yap, Jaime Fabregas, Leandro Muñoz, Mark Lapid, Cherie Gil, Albert Martinez and Gio Alvarez as the upright bassists featuring the GMA News and Public Affairs crew members like Henry Omaga-Diaz and Mike Enriquez as the trumpeters, Cheryl Cosim as the Clarinet player, Karen Davila as the Oboe player, Jessica Soho as the Bassoon player and Amelyn Veloso as the Cornet Player.
Somehow, Willie Revillame does not appear in the Station ID because he is disqualified from the orchestra by Filipino singer, songwriter, television host and conductor Martin Nievera. Due to this, Willie Revillame decided to quit GMA after Martin Nievera got jealous at Willie Revillame when he conducted the 2005 Kapuso Theme in Talentadong Pinoy in April 30, 2005. Eventually, Willie Revillame was beaten up by Martin Nievera in the late night talk show Martin Late at Nite. The Station ID of GMA in 2005 was composed by Louie Ocampo. The Station ID of GMA was used for the 55th anniversary special. But eventually, The Station ID of GMA can be used from 2005 until 2010.
However, This is the last Station ID of GMA to feature Arcee Muñoz, Alice Dixson, Tuesday Vargas, Ritz Azul, Eula Caballero, Aga Muhlach, Niño Muhlach, EJ Falcon, Sam Milby, Bea Alonzo, Hero Angeles, Maja Salvador, Geoff Eigenmann, Gabby Eigenmann, Coco Martin, Ryan Agoncillo, Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, Paolo Ballesteros, Bayani Agbayani, Raymond Bagatsing, Andi Eigenmann, Judy Ann Santos, Rufa Mae Quinto, Fernando Poe Jr., Mark Gil and Rene Hawkins. In the opening and ending, Some books are seen like Unang Hirit, Eat Bulaga, Talentadong Pinoy, Mapagkailanman, Wheel of Fortune, The Price is Right, Imbestigador, and the yellow book with GMA at the front cover and "The End" at the back cover with a blue pawprint. But somehow, This will be used in the opening of the 2010 Station ID of GMA. But the ending was different when sparkles come out when the book closes. Somehow, There is a group orchestra picture at the very end before the book closes.
The Station ID was recorded in May 1, 2005 before Arcee Muñoz, Alice Dixson, Tuesday Vargas, Ritz Azul, Eula Caballero, Aga Muhlach, Niño Muhlach, EJ Falcon, Sam Milby, Bea Alonzo, Hero Angeles, Maja Salvador, Geoff Eigenmann, Gabby Eigenmann, Empoy Marquez and Coco Martin move to TV5. But now, It’s obvious that Ryan Agoncillo, Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, Paolo Ballesteros, Bayani Agbayani, Raymond Bagatsing, Andi Eigenmann, Judy Ann Santos and Rufa Mae Quinto may have moved to ABS-CBN in 2005.
Due to this, Coco Martin deserved to divorce Judy Ann Santos after their marriage for 20 years. Somehow, Coco Martin moved to TV5 in 2005 after breaking up with Judy Ann Santos.
But eventually, This was Fernando Poe Jr.’s last Station ID from GMA before his death in September 11, 2005. Sadly, This was also going to be Mark Gil’s last Station ID before his death in November 11, 2005. But now, It’s obvious that it was the last Station ID of Rene Hawkins before his death in February 14, 2009.
The Station ID ends with the slogan "Celebrating 55 years in the Service of the Filipino.” But in 2006, It uses the slogan "In the Service of the Filipino, Worldwide" which was used as the slogan in ABS-CBN International when ABS-CBN was in other countries rather than the Philippines which can be used in early 2000 before the 50th anniversary special of ABS-CBN. Starting in 2001, It uses different slogans when ABS-CBN is in different countries.

This story is a little experiment I’m trying out, setting George Baker’s Inspector Wexford now rather than the early 90s.
(I’ve nearly finished the next chapter of Arms Of Matrimony and I’m also working on an Avengers / Young Wexford crossover set in the late 60s where Mrs Peel has gone back to her husband but lands herself in trouble by being arrested for murder. Her old friends Dora and Reg Wexford turn to Steed to help prove her innocence.)

Ratatouille (Sundove88’s Version)
(In loving memory of Kevin Conroy- you’ll always be our Batman!🦇)
An Alolan Ratata dreams of becoming a great chef, despite being a rat in a definitely rodent-phobic profession. He moves to Paris to follow his dream, and with the help of hapless garbage boy Bruno he puts his culinary skills to the test in the kitchen but he has to stay in hiding at the same time, with hilarious consequences. Ratata eventually gets the chance to prove his culinary abilities to a great food critic, but is the food good?
Alolan Rattata as Remy (Pokemon)
Fievel as Emile (An American Tail)
Alolan Raticate as Django (Pokemon)
Bruno Madrigal as Alfredo Linguini (Encanto)

Closers are the karens of the papa louie games. No. Joke. ok maybe a little
no you are 100% right. almost every closer would ask to speak to the manager and then roy would have to tell them that “sorry but mr louie currently employed me as the only worker and i have no idea what is going on either.” and then he’d probably cry while calling papa louie bc they still insist on speaking with him
except for johnny. i don’t think johnny would want to speak to anyone. he’d prob just announce that “the pancakes were overcooked”, maybeeee send it back if it’s really bad (but not usually bc he’s not one to waste food), and the chef would get the message. also i feel like xolo wouldn’t bc xolo is a whole clown. he’d just be unnecessarily rude to you. maybe put the tips in a puddle of ketchup so that you’d have to fish them out if you wanted the extra money
rico, rhonda and kahuna would just be really disappointed. also i get the same vibe from hank and crystal, but they’d be disappointed mixed with slightly annoyed idk.
bertha would straight up call the police if the manager wasn’t available. “my kids can’t hear me they’re listening to kidz bop” looking ass. she’ll get you sued probably. you’d think quinn would be the one to sue, but she can control herself, unlike ms i-put-bread-on-my-grilled-cheese over there. i dunno what kinda business she has being a closer, just cause the food is at a baseball game, but i’m not here to argue with the karen moms i’d honestly be scared to serve her
jojo will destroy you mentally if you served him anything below perfect. i feel like there’s a reason that he’s a food critic and that reason might just be bc he’s the gordon ramsay of the flipverse

Do you have any headcanons of the man himself papa louie
Papa Louie HCs
-Oh boy, here we go, the gosh darn king of the entire franchise (metaphorically speaking, but he owns so much of the continent, he might as well be king). This dude is That Bitch™️ basically. This also has so much made up lore like goddang me, calm down.
-Anyways, Louis Bianchi (or Papa Louie, as he’s affectionately referred to as by just about everyone) is the 47 year old hot-shot restauranteur and mayor of Tastyville, but he also owns territories and buildings all over the continent. He lives with his 24 year old niece, Joy, and his 21 year old nephew, Roy, in a suburban house close to the Tastyville apartment complex he owns.
-In news stories and articles all over the place, Papa is painted as some sort of saint, a kind and hardworking man who always has the best interests of the people in mind. This is very true, as he is both a friendly people pleaser, but Joy and Mitch can easily describe him as more passive aggressive. From basically stalking people he believes are down on their luck, duping many into jobs and schemes, and even casually insulting people, many workers can definitely agree. Although he is much softer of a person with his beloved nephew and the workers after a certain period of time, he can just flip flop between his mischievous side and his fatherly side just like that. He’s certainly a character.
-Little to nothing is known about his past. His education, family, and upbringing are a complete mystery. Papa has burned what little childhood photos and trinkets he has in order to never remember this, which suggests that his life prior to opening restaurants was not a happy time. He and his brother, Guy Mortadello (who is also the father of Roy and Joy), never speak of this nor do they ever admit to even being related, hence why nobody makes the connections. However, after cleaning the attic, Roy secretly did stumble upon a photo of two parents, a pair of boys who looked to be twins, and an unknown brunette holding two babies. All the faces are scratched out, but he could definitely recognize a certain birthmark one of the twins’ neck.
-Papa hates old chain fast food restaurants that are still running. Not because they’re competitors, but because their food quality is much poorer and he hates mascots. Like he will throw hands with Ronald McDonald, Sassy Wendy’s, and even Jollibee behind the Fluffmart.
-He wanted Guy Mortadello to be his business partner after papers began badmouthing the latter’d foods’ slip in quality (which had been brought on by his inconsolable grief after his wife’s sudden passing). Mortadello, who had most likely suffered through an intense sibling rivalry, refused and not only kept his lackluster restaurants open, but he abandoned his children, too. Today, their rivalry still goes strong, but now that all of Mortadello’s restaurants have closed, he’s more open to the idea of being partners in crime, even allowing himself to be hired to help scam workers. They still hate each other though.
-Papa is a karaoke and lip syncing master. He can’t sing or dance very good, but the raw passion and emotion is there. Like imagine that Fresh Prince scene where Will is lip syncing to “And I Am Telling You”. That’s a simpler way to explain it.
-His slight favoritism of Roy may stem from Mortadello always feeling like the family’s black sheep, and he doesn’t want to let Roy go through that. It’s also because Roy is much more respectful and easier to chill with than Joy, who’s much too energetic and overconfident to have a humble conversation with. He still loves her, of course, but Roy’s the one who’s at his side most of the time.
-He always wakes up at 4 AM and goes to bed at midnight. That’s not healthy at all, but this dude can somehow survive on only 20 minutes of sleep. It seems to run in the family since Roy and Joy could also do this.
-When arguments break out at the weekly worker meetings, he doesn’t really do jack to stop them unless Roy or Joy is involved. He might say “stop” or “let’s calm down” occasionally, but he thinks his staff is mature enough to end it on their own (they aren’t). He just sits there with Prudence and Mitch eating popcorn while Rudy and Mandi argue, probably.
-I headcanon him as yelling like Gordon Ramsay, but with Mario’s voice, if that makes any sense. It makes me giggle when I think about him screaming “RAW”, but in Mario’s voice.
-He collects creepy porcelain figures in his free time, naming all of them after some sort of food. His hobbies also include mimicking Gordon Ramsay, glass blowing, pottery, stalking-I mean merely observing people he thinks are in financial trouble, or making Roy watch Food Network and Jeopardy with him.
-He likes to try to do gymnastics with Joy, but he always ends up failing miserably and with a cast on multiple limbs.
-Papa has an entire specialized hair care routine for his mustache. It takes two hours to complete.
-Why did I make so much dang lore about this dude? Also I cannot believe that Flipline Studios had the audacity to make my crush Taylor into a zombie after also making my boy Wally into one. Anyways, yeah I love Papa but now that I’m older, he’s kind of a prick honestly.

I’ve taken a little break from writing my Avengers stories but I’m getting back into it and hope to have another chapter of The Arms of Matrimony ready soon. In the meantime I’ve written a story for Inspector Wexford. Don’t know if anyone remembers the series but it was broadcast in the early 90s and stared George Baker as Wexford.
The relationship between Wexford and his wife Dora fascinates me and I wanted to write more about these great characters as there is literally no fanfiction for the series.
