Hey guys, i can’t find these posts, does anyone have them?

First post is a Superman Twitter au where Lois posts something, Clark corrects her, and then Lois says “thanks Smallville”. And then the public starts making fun of Clark, and #ThanksSmallville starts trending, and then Jimmy Olsen gives context saying smth like “everyone misunderstood the context because Lois is flirting with her husband”

And then the second post is another Twitter au, some asshole posts something along the lines of “the justice league is proof that the healthy and nondisabled are superior” and then the entire justice league replies with various things proving the dude wrong. Superman says smth like “I’ve got severe seasonal depression”, I think the flash says smth like “I’ve got super hypoglycemia” and I think the OG asshole was also homophobic, because I think Hal Jordan says smth along the lines of “I’m gay”. And Batman posts from the official justice league account to basically rip this dude to shreds

Both posts are photoshops/edits of Twitter posts. They’re not text posts.

Anyway if anybody can find those that would be wonderful. I spent all last night looking and I cannot find them.

Update: I found the “Nice one, Smallville” post and tagged it so I can hopefully find it in the future. Now I’m just looking for the justice league post.

As usual with Tumblr's search function I can't find the original post but I still think from time to time about that story idea in conversation with the concept of the Anti-Parahuman movement in Ward, where there's like an active force of the narrative lens that makes the "plot" revolve around you if you're a main character, because you're more important.

Like, I can imagine a story about a scrappy, charismatic underdog Spider-Man-like character who genuinely doesn't understand that the world is worse outside the scope of their story because they literally can never exit the story to see from an outside perspective. And when the revolution comes they don't understand why it's happening.

They come from a genuinely bad place and yet it's still different for other people. It doesn't occur to them that nobody else's civilian confidante finds a mystical artifact that gives them superpowers and now they're a masked hero because they were friends with one, and nobody else's down-on-their-luck dad gets stuck in a bank vault with the mayor.

And I guess it doesn't occur to them that when they're making decisions about the lives of thousands of people, the burden isn't just for the sake of their personal development, but something with an actual impact on people's lives.

Kind of playing with the whole notion of the audience's sympathy for the people at the center of the narrative, while background characters aren't even really people.

There's also an angle of stuff like when rich people, politicians, celebrities, etc. go to court and suddenly the judge and jury care about their humanity and what they must be going through, because the lens of sympathy is on the people who are considered "important". So tropes around that sort of thing I guess?

I can imagine, if it is a revolution narrative, that it's almost like an inverse-Khepri thing, from a narrative style perspective. Taking Wildbow's interlude structure as a base, the interludes could always feature characters on the fringes of the story (or maybe it starts with named characters and slowly distances itself further and further from the characters in focus). And from then on those interlude characters start to take small roles in the story, they do things that change the direction of the plot.

They're Named Characters now, for all the good and all the existential horror that entails.

And the final act involves some sort of revelation that some agent, in an act against another powerful entity, has been spreading or fragmenting the story lens, distributing it slowly to everyone. Those interludes were that in action. And the final act morphs into a third-person-omniscient perspective that's constantly flitting from the perspective of one new person to the next; every soldier, every civilian, someone's pet dog, everyone.

IDK, just something to play around with, I doubt I'll do anything with that, but it's fun to think about.

cant tell you how bad it feels to constantly tell other artists to come to tumblr, because its the last good website that isn't fucked up by spoonfeeding algorithms and AI bullshit and isn't based around meaningless likes

Also, on that note- I gotta say, the "I God" bit in the Primordial's interlude is pretty hilarious? Like, from an external perspective, it's a classic mad science trope, the creation has godlike power and views itself as above mankind. But that's not what's happening at all.

It's more like if you gave a 4-year-old a mech suit and a machine gun, sent it out to kill people, then pinned them down to execute because a toddler with a machine gun is to dangerous to let live, and the toddler desperately fumbles for an excuse not to kill it, and being fucking 4 years old, starts yelling "I'm the pwesident! No! I'm the Pwesident, I'm your boss!"

And all of the army scientists gasp, because the 4-year-old has such incredible power that it is like unto a president, what madness have we wrought by bringing this wretched being into the world?!
