tweek freaking out in senior year bc he’s trying to figure out what is the earliest he can ask craig out to prom and all of the gang look at him like he’s crazy bc he’s been dating craig practically his whole like, why would he be worried about prom of all things? and that line of questioning just gets tweek going on a rant 

“he could still say NO!!! What if he wants to go as a group instead or doesn’t want to go to prom or OH GOD what if someone else asks him out first, what if lots of people start asking him if i don’t do it as soon as it’s socially acceptable!?” 

and the gang are even more confused bc who in their right mind would ask craig to prom? aside from everyone knowing that he’s dating tweek, he’s like, average at best. no one is trying to steal him away but tweek is losing his mind insisting that craig is a catch that everyone will be fighting over during prom season

tbh though if you look at the older episodes, Betty was always like absolutely 100% fully and irrevocably unhinged, and her going insane was barely a departure from the status quo at all

like this woman is and always was nuts, and I think it's for everyone's benefit that they're both equally obsessed with each other, because that means nobody else ever has to get involved with their fucked up dynamic

I think it's less that she put her life on hold for Simon's benefit, but that she's a scary lady who knows exactly what she wants, and what she wants is a relationship with a nice autistic guy who's really into femdom

"have we not had a good time together" shes pointing yaz to the rule that yaz very well knows is there: we can travel if you dont ask me any difficult questions. yaz knows this is the rule - "because you ask too many questions", "this team structure isnt flat" - but she also was the one to invite the doctor into her home so im pretty sure she also knows shes not gonna kicked out that easily. she has some leeway. which she has been using between revolution and flux, which is why the doctor reminds her of the rules

i dont think she'd kick her out though. she wouldnt. i think it's just that the more you break the rule, the more unpleasant she becomes to be around, and eventually youre gonna walk out on your own. she doesnt want you to, she'd rather you stay and dont ask questions. but if youre gonna try to ask questions anyway, i think thats whats gonna happen

and yaz must think so too. because she does back off. because she doesnt want that to happen either. and it does anyway

why do people pick and choose what definition of canon they use for which situation and then get angry that anyone disagrees with any part of it 😭

personally, im much less interested in going strictly by the definition that appearances are the things that make canon and much more in what the authors intentions behind those appearances were... and like i feel that i should be allowed to do that without people screaming about how "well this is what i SEE when i watch the show so ur STUPID" LIKE PLEASEEE IM ALLOWED TO THINK DEEPER THAN THAT 😭

like... if i took EVERYTHING at face value, the scene where aiura tries to fake a lucky feel would just actually be attempted sexual assault 😭 but its an out of character moment and im 100% sure that the author didnt intend to make her creepy or an assaulter (more likely, it was one of those "sa isnt sa when its by a woman" moments by the author, so its not supposed to come off as sa and instead just her being a sexual person) ... so i dont see her as one 🤷🏻‍♀️ but again, if you see canon as only whats seen on screen then thats what it was, so you cant just like... refuse to see it that way and then get mad that there are similar things that OTHER people choose to do the same thing with just because you dont do it for those particular things

i'm for sure not finishing veilguard. i set it down a while and tried again and ahh i'm just not enjoying it. the characters dont have a depth im looking for.. the insertion of a writer's white guilt onto the elves that are based on real life indigenous people and have been in-games enslaved and treated horrifically and are the ones who don't have "real" gods that are actually just blighted tyrants. everything with taash and the qunari. the gameplay was fun for a while but then it made my hand so numb i couldnt do anything for a week. the last straw was taash's gender talk that suddenly turned into picking a cultural identity for them to align with out of nowhere and then soon after learning that Another antagonist is of course an elf. starting to feel like their implying that all elves become evil when given power jfc. i think i'm actually done with it it started making me feel gross and bored. i don't care if you enjoy it or not, everyone's got a different threshold it just crossed mine.

Is it weird that I prefer to go by gender neutral pronouns online but go by she/her in real life?

You owe nobody online "accurate" information about yourself - if you're comfortable with they/them or whatever other set it may be because of privacy or because you like that pronoun set, and it isn't anybody's "right" to know.

Basically, do what makes you comfortable. It isn't weird at all to exist in different spaces differently. We are all, to some extent, presenting ourselves in different ways depending on the context, how comfortable we are, what we do/don't want to conform to, and so many other factors.

smiling friends season 1 finale is SO insane it absolutely ruins me every time i rewatch it. it mostly retains the lighthearted goofy feeling of the rest of the show and it’s barely heavy at all but it feels like it has so much weight to me regardless like it feels like it has such an impact as an episode. like in general. for the whole show up until this one charlie, especially when compared to pim, seems so stable and confident in himself, he doesn’t really rely on others thinking highly of him at all, he isn’t nervous to please others, he just focuses on what he needs to do for himself but in this episode the second PIM criticises him on something it completely drags him down to arguing with him and later getting himself killed just so he can. prove himself to pim????? that he’s wrong about his criticisms of him???? that’s all i can see that as. and i dont know if the show is going to do like actual development or What but to me this episode was like a turning point for charlie and pims friendship because it reminded both of them how much they matter to eachother. charlie died and didn’t want to leave his life on a bad note, he was forced into a situation where he was acting from pim’s point of view for once, and now instead of just respecting him, he really understands him more. the first thing pim did once he kind of collected himself after charlie got resurrected was apologise. he just wanted him to know sorry he is and how much he just wants to be friends forever and that’s it

Honestly!! The fact that no one's paralleled it yet with the fact that he is controlling him (or at least trying to) at the trial too...

I love the way this show plays around with this perversion of love through ownership and control in so many different ways and with so many different dynamics.
