Senator Murkowski (R) said on camera to her voters that she was scared, the Republicans were scared of retaliation.

And look, I do believe they have been threatened or at least that they are scared of retaliation.

I also don't care. I also believe she is saying this partly so that later on, if there is a later on, she can claim she was threatened and is therefore not responsible for pretending she couldn't stop the country from being destroyed for billionaire profits.

There are whistleblowers right now speaking up--and their lives are DEFINITELY in danger. There are citizens and legal residents being abducted off the street so that Miller and Trump can joke about it. There are Democrat senators calling out the grift and racism and bullshit. There are colleges and universities and state Attorneys General and state governors calling out the grift and racism and bullshit.

So a sitting, wealthy, white United States Senator trying to tell us that they are all so scared they can't stand up for themselves even if not for us? Cry me a fucking river. Do your job or get out of the way.

We have a lot more to lose. Why on earth would sitting GOP senators and congresspeople get a pass to not do anything?

After reading an article about reactions to some of Trump’s absolutely insane cabinet picks, I realized that once again we will be at the mercy of Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski to fend off the worst of him. I’d forgotten they both existed. God, I hope they still have any spine left at all. They never had much, but the bit they had was often all that was standing between us and some terrible, terrible decisions.

So Harris has said she would put a Republican in her cabinet.

I don't like it, I'm done with the Treason Party, but I get that she probably thinks she needs to appeal to "moderates" and appear "bipartisan".

Its probably safe to assume that it would be a Never Trumper. In that case, I would suggest maybe Adam Kinzinger- there's a lot I disagree with him on, but he's one of the most prominent never Trumpers who's really put his money where his mouth is, and actively campaigned against Trump/for Democrats (unlike Murkowski, Liz Cheney, Romney, etc).

Judge Luttig might be acceptable too, if willing to leave retirement. Or perhaps they could pull a short list from the 200+ Bush, McCain, and Romney staffers who just endorsed Harris.
