Once again I'll give the same CW as the last post: if you don't wanna see any references to trans male pregnancy please blacklist the terms "mpreg" and "tmpreg", similar content to whats in Mafia 3 normally like violence, bigotry of the 1960's, war, etc.

General disclaimer: I'm still not good at drawing babies/young children and I'm not much of a writer personally so sorry if things are clunky.

John got home sometime around mid-November, laying low and skipping around the states altering his appearance a bit until he felt the heat died down enough he could return to Louisiana with no issues. Once he got home he was greeted by a very intense Lincoln alone at Sammy's while Dani was at Nicki's being watched. Lincoln was feeling a lot of stuff at once, like anger, but also just holding back emotions a bit, hiding at first that he was happy to see John coming through the door.

Obviously things got pretty intense emotionally a bit after John got into the house, but things cooled down (or heated up lol) and Lincoln immediately started teasing him for his more "messy" appearance, said he looked like a hippie.

Adjusting back home was pretty comforting for a bit, John's happy he can just stay inside, catch up with Dani and be lazy. Already he was naturally anti-social so staying in wasn't that much of an issue, just watching T.V and most he does is if Lincoln needs his help on something work related.

Wasn't too long until John started feeling sick again, waking up early to run to the bathroom, or accidentally throwing up at the worst times. He immediately had a "oh this better not be what I think it is again" and after a visit to Lincoln's personal doctor, yep, it was exactly what he thought it was.

Despite appearing angry, he was more annoyed and just wanted to give Lincoln a hard time. They were both fine with this because John's going to be more a homebody now and Lincoln can support them all. Dani, despite being 2, seemed pretty happy with the news, she kept saying "baby!" after being told.

John definitely wants to get serious about finally getting a hysterectomy after this kid though. Still kicking himself for not getting one earlier but oh well. Like the last pregnancy he was moody and wasn't allowed to smoke or drink, fell back into annoying Lincoln by popping gum around him constantly.

Rhys Clay was born August 10th 1972, Lincoln Clay and John Donovan his parents and Danielle Clay his older sister. Not named after anyone again but both parents were looking over names and just got attached to that one. Once again the baby was delivered at home with the same doctor as last time, only difference is that Dani could meet her new little brother as soon as they were able to.

Lincoln was very happy being a father of 2 now, though it was dawning on him that he needs an actual house for them now, but he has some time before both kids are big enough to get their own rooms. John feels a little weird knowing he's technically had 3 kids already but gets serious about getting a hysterectomy a bit after going back to normal after Rhys is born. Both John and Lincoln have to settle with a story now to tell people especially if John is seen walking around with both kids. Lincoln finally comes out about it all to the other 2 underbosses (since Nicki already knows), he's a father of 2 and the other parent is a trans man who happens to be the gangs advisor that's been working from the shadows ever since the beginning.

Vito and Cassandra don't take too kindly knowing that their bosses advisor is a now ex-C.I.A agent, and it does break out into a big argument between the underbosses, Lincoln and Donovan. Lincoln being so used to this now, he was able to get the argument under control by telling John to keep his mouth shut and telling the other 2 if he wasn't trustworthy, then why on earth would he willingly raise 2 children with him? It seems to work.

Some time passes: Dani starts school, shows a bit of an artistic streak while also showing signs of being very stubborn when she feels like it. Rhys shows signs of being autistic and is nonverbal until he's nearly 4 years old. The Clay Crime Family starts doing some good for the local area, renovating and building places, but also expanding their operations. Lincoln is basically untouchable now, which means his family is safe and sound as long as their around him.

John still goes around the city with both kids and visiting Robert, but can't seem to stop Robert from making snarky comments about both him and his kids, meanwhile Father James notices a lot of similarities between Rhys and Lincoln from back when he first came into the orphanage. Both very quiet boys but different circumstances.

Donovan takes a good break from his "side project", he's letting the heat die down since the whole senate hearing incident and he wants those folks he sent that message out for to get a false sense of security and think nothing more is going to happen, but John is planning on striking when they least expect it. He's not going to act for awhile though, doesn't wanna miss any birthdays and still be present during the kid's childhoods, also Rhys still needs a lot of attention.

Dani and Rhys are very close, and Dani always tries to get him involved with games she plays, Rhys is pretty quiet still and shy around new people but does start talking more to his family and other adults that come around, mostly Father James or Nicki Burke.

Rhys is the last kid and John tells Lincoln if he wants more, he can just figure that all out himself.

Both kids are still in development, character wise. I have some thoughts about Dani in her teen years, like going on with her friends a lot, as for Rhys, I'm still wondering what personality he has, though I see him getting into puzzles a lot. I'm open to any thoughts honestly, writing kids isn't really a strength for me and these are my first fan kid oc's for a piece of media I like.

But yeah, that's my cringe au! Been cooking it for awhile and finally got the guts to release it to the wild, like I said previously.

Firstly, I am in the middle of like 6000 IRL things at the moment, all work related. There will be some periods of silence while things change and I get settled in. Trust me, I haven't given up, I've just got pressing real life stuff to focus on.

What does all this shit mean? Well, if I ever go back to writing long-form prose fanfiction, the story is going to focus on these two goobers in the year 2099 (it's a canon event):

Who are these goobers? These goobers are the children of Trey Marshall and Val.

Introducing my newest OCs: Chara Ocampo-Gonzalez and Lincoln Ocampo-Gonzalez, who are fraternal twins.

Chara Ocampo-Gonzalez

Chara just beat Lincoln out of the womb by about an hour, technically making her the older sibling. She inherits a lot from her father: her loyalty, her drive and her sense of family. She also inherits Trey's eyes.

Chara's going to be a Solo. She's inherited her mother's Crystaljock jacket, tendency to code-switch under pressure.

Lincoln Ocampo-Gonzalez

I'm not quite done with Lincoln's appearance yet, but I will post when it's ready. While Chara inherits a lot of her father's traits, I think that Lincoln will be more like his mother, appearance-wise, while Chara clearly takes more after Trey.

He's also going to be a netrunner, following his stepmum's footsteps (if you weren't aware, Melanie is a netrunner).

I have this cute story idea where Uncle V gives Lincoln his Samurai jacket. He says it's so 'people realise where you come from, and pick fights with people closer to your size.'

WIP Wednesday

Thanks for the tag @fangbangerghoul. I think you got everyone so I'm turning the tag to anyone who sees this and thinks, "hey I got something I think I want to share."

picking today's bit was difficult because lately I've been sharing sneak peeks a lot on the discord so it's hard to remember what's been seen, I've just been so excited xD

anyway today's wip is an upcoming chapter for Ranger and the Deputy:

“You say we’re stepping but you did a lot more than just step,” Helga chewed on her cheek.

Emily was practicing the first step, her foot angled as she landed and her pivot too snappy, but considering her age Del was impressed she managed it. The little blonde looked to Helga, “I mean we are supposed to be going around the partner so the turns aren’t surprising.”

“Yeah, I suppose maybe when I have a partner it’ll make sense,”

Helga stepped straight out, no turn to her foot, and pivoted her body with more grace than Emily but still more aggressive than necessary, “Can you show us one more time?”

“Sure!” Kitty repeated the steps out loud while she moved, her steps clean, her black open toed heels barely touching the floor as she slide her foot with the side steps. Del couldn’t help but smile as he admired her confidence as she moved.

As she led the others in their practice Del thought back to the night he met her a month and a half ago and how bashful she’d been in those first few hours. How timid she was for the first few dances at the Hitching Post, different style but that didn’t matter. She was overwhelmed then, new place, new people, bad news, everything was happening all at once. A lot had changed and that was clearest in how she carried herself now. She could command the attention of any room she walked into and with a warm smile and gentle voice. She’d even sweet talked information out of Duncan down at the Trade Authority as a favor for Diego last week.

Kitty was a force of nature that so many underestimated. But not Delgado, no he’d noted that fact way back during the hostage negotiation. That didn’t mean there wasn’t risk involved, he reminded himself as she motioned for him to join her, “I think our lovely followers have their steps down so now it’s your turn to show our leaders their job.”

Delgado pushed off the bar and looked to Annie and Diego. Annie was already up and standing with Emily while Diego was still sitting in his chair. Del ticked his tongue at his old friend and snapped his fingers while pointing at the ground next to Helga, “Move it, old man.”

“Who you calling old man?” Diego scoffed as he picked up the pace, “I didn’t sign up for this.”

“Neither did Del but you don’t see him complaining,” Kitty replied with a smile. Helga covered her mouth as she started to laugh.

“Quit complaining,” Blake called over, “you’re helping the team.”

“With what? The rangers going to start dancing with our marks?” Diego was fussing with his bun, delaying the lesson.

The Marshal explained, “Helga and Kitty both just got cleared for active duty today and this is a good fitness test for them. Success would also be a morale boost so stop complaining and focus.”

“You got cleared too?” Diego’s face lit up as he looked to Helga, “congrats, mi hermana!”

“Yeah, finally!” Helga flexed and laughed before breakout out in a coughing fit, muffling the sound with her sleeve while waving any worry in the room away. She quickly recovered and looked around,

“Mary said I’ll be that way for a while but I’m fine. Just got to be careful.”

“Can we do something?” Annie whined.

“Annie, I will send you home if you don’t curb that attitude,” Emma warned.

“You won’t like this very much then,” Del teased, “leaders don’t actually move during a giro, not like their partner.”

“Seriously?” Annie made a face and huffed.

“Shall we?” Del held out his left hand and waited for Kitty to join him.

guessing the ilw crew's favorite movie genres:

lincoln: for some reason i see lincoln being into dramas, especially crime dramas. i'm thinking along the lines of fight club and taxi driver. but he's also a secret fan of anime movies, because he used to watch them when he was younger and now they're nostalgic to him

abel: we know he likes indiana jones, so i'm guessing he's an action/adventure type of guy. he probably prefers movies to be on the lighthearted side, and cries at movies with sad endings. he also probably genuinely enjoys watching historical documentaries

jocelyn: i feel like jocelyn can't resist a good horror comedy. it has to be a very specific type of comedy though, because she can't stand bigoted jokes in any way shape or form. movies with strong female leads like jennifer's body or heathers are right up her street

amalia: amalia is tough because i haven't played her route yet but i'm gonna go out on a limb and say she loves a good documentary. they're the only movies she'll choose to watch on her own, because she likes to feel like she's learning and being productive even if the documentary isn't meant to be educational. i can see her being really into true crime docs, but only if they focus on the victims rather than the killers

bonus because i'm having too much fun with this:

connor: connor strikes me as both an action movie dude and a comedy dude, but i also think he's the type of person who can watch anything and enjoy it. i feel like a lot of what he watches is just stuff his friends recommend, because he trusts their judgement more than his own about stuff like this

noah: noah is a total fantasy nerd but he would never admit it out loud. he tells everyone he likes horror movies, which isn't technically a lie, but if it's between lord of the rings and friday the 13th i think he would absolutely pick lotr. also, his stuffed moose is named "kenna" which im assuming is a reference to tc&tf (an in game fantasy tv show), so that pretty much confirms my theory

genuine!mc: i think genuine!mc would enjoy romantic comedies. anything sweet that can make them laugh is a good movie in their book, if it's corny and cute they've likely seen it. they don't like sad or heavy movies, and much like abel, will cry if a movie has a sad ending

sarcastic!mc: sarcastic!mc likes watching so-bad-it's-good movies in the spirit of making fun of them. they don't take any movies too seriously and are probably the type to commentate over anything they watch, whether alone or with other people

aggressive!mc: i feel like aggressive!mc is a big fan of horror movies, the gorier the better. they don't get scared very easily and will make fun of the movie if they think it's boring or the effects are lame. i also think they like to talk during movies, unless they're really invested

ilitw!mc: this one is also tough but i'm gonna say ilitw!mc likes action/thriller movies, although they will watch literally anything as long as it has a compelling plot. they probably prefer watching movies with people to watching them alone, and they're pretty chill about letting others pick the movie, so they've probably seen a variety of films in different genres

Aldridge/Donovan garbage

1954-Guatemala/PBSuccess

Recruited into the CIA immediately after graduating Princeton

Donovan worked under Aldridge who was a mentor to him

Got comfortable enough with him and comes out as trans to Connor.

Start a kind of weird relationship near the end of their time in Guatemala to when they're transferred to Vietnam

1963-Pre-Saigon alleyway fight/flashback

Connor becomes a double agent secretly working for the NVA, manipulates John enough to get him off his trail for a bit.

Cause John is a FTM trans person, he got top surgery but didn't get a hysterectomy. Usually he's careful with protection and all that but Connor really didn't give him time to think about that and yeah, he got pregnant.

That kind of was to Connor's benefit, despite him not even knowing about it, John had to go into hiding for a bit so he wasn't actively hunting him down. But cause this is still Donovan, he was able to keep tabs on what Connor was doing despite hiding out somewhere outside Saigon.

Robert Marshall helped John out during this time cause he had connections still to Aldridge. Acted as a middle man.

A baby boy was born a few months before John and Connor had that alleyway fight. John sent the baby back to the states with help from Jackie Grimaldi so the baby can be placed in a good home. She updates on the boys wellbeing to Donovan during the events of Mafia 3 when Lincoln's in Frisco Fields. His name is Jesse and lives in the northeast United States.

1968-Stones Unturned

The events of Stones Unturned plays out as usual. John is clearly hiding a lot still from Lincoln and Robert won't say more on his side.

John tells Lincoln all about the "important" stuff on the boat ride to the island. But sometime in the bunker Lincoln gets fed up and tells John to tell him some of the whole story. He learns about their relationship during the time when they were in South America and Vietnam and how it fell apart. Lincoln tell he's holding back some more but accepts this for now.

The final confrontation with Aldridge, after Lincoln leaves the submarine, John tells Connor about the son he never met and after that. Well, yeah, Lincoln hears the gunshot.

When they leave the island, John finally comes clean about the kid he had and gave up. Lincoln, while was annoyed at first, understands now why John wasn't ready to talk about it yet. He's a very touchy subject and it still hurts for him to talk about. Lincoln appreciates it and things smooth out.

Okay I just wanted to get the timeline straight and dedicate a whole post for it.

Okay, I LOVED working on Heartland. It’s been one of my favourite experiences on set so far. Everyone was so kind. Amber Marshall and Michelle Morgan are beautiful and so, so talented and lovely. Madison Thomas is an AMAZING director and creative.. it’s kind of shocking. And everyone else I worked with (including da horses!!!!) were so welcoming, funny, helpful - and so many more adjectives I could really keep going. Gah. When you think about Marshall's sniper support mechanic in like the context of Lincoln’s whole plot, it's really funny to think that he's just following Lincoln around. Like somehow, Marshall knows every good spot in the city to sit and wait for Lincoln to use him. I feel bad for poor Lincoln having to know that Marshall is following him around, given that he just does not like that guy LOL it's genuinely so odd.

Did you know that when you're trying to take out Aldridge in the last shootout, you can use Marshall? Like they also reintroduce his sniper support on the island. I've always said that Marshall technically should be there and I guess he is lol the devs just think he's sooo unimportant that they didn't even have to mention him LOL anyways I don't know why I find it so amusing. But I do. I love using Marshall when I play lmao

Just know when I finally play Stones Unturned, Aldridge is being taken out by Marshall😤 I think it is absolutely hilarious that Marshall could be the one out of John and Lincoln to get that final shot in so Aldridge retreats to the submarine LOL talk about unsatisfying end for them. Like I know John gets the last shot in, but ya know what I mean!
