The 4th House Experience Pt. 1:

(The Ugly Duckling)

Case Study: Lilo Pelekai

Out of all the water houses (4th, 8th and 12th), the 4th house is given the least amount of attention in online astrology circles, ironic considering that is the only one of the three houses to also serve as an angular house. It doesn’t share the dark, esoteric reputation that makes the 8th and 12th houses such popular houses, but just because it deals with relatively “lighter” topics such as family, the home, ancestry, roots and history doesn’t mean that it isn’t deep. As a matter of fact, one could argue that it is the deepest of the water houses seeing that it is the only one below the horizon. When I first delved into astrology, admittedly the 4th house was not one that garnered much of my attention and for a while I actually considered it one of the more boring of the astrology houses but upon further growth, study and reflection the depths of it became very apparent.

And they were presented perhaps no better than the little girl whose character won me over more than any Disney princess both as a kid and now.

The movie lilo and stitch ironically starts with Lilo swimming in the depths of the ocean. She rushes from the beach to make it to her hula dancing lesson. Upon getting there she is immediately singled out for being late, being wet and the seemingly strange explanation of why she had to feed the fish Pudge a peanut butter sandwich as he has control of the weather. Her instructor nor the other girls in the class understand the reasoning behind why her routine with Pudge the fish is so important and ostracize her, with the defacto leader of the small girls’ group Myrtle going as far as to call her “crazy.”

And immediately getting her ass beat because of it.

Unfortunately Lilo is ostracized by her peers, robbed of a sense of belonging from a very young age. Aside from her sister, her sole sense of belonging comes from her doll “Scrump” whose appearance scares the other girls and further causes her to feel like a misfit.

Later in the story we get the explanations to her seemingly strange behavior, we see that her Tuesday routine with Pudge and the importance of him controlling the weather comes because her parents died while driving in the rain. Her being nostalgic and an old soul sets her apart, her favorite artist being Elvis Presley. She latches onto “Scrump” because she is lonely and has no friends. She makes a wish on what she thinks is a shooting star and prays for a friend (wishes being an 11th house theme) and she is sent Stitch, an alien posing as a pet dog, fitting considering pets are a 6th house theme and the 4th house being 6 spaces from the 11th house. Although he too is different, something that uneases her older sister Nani almost immediately, and does not seem like a normal dog, Lilo embraces him from the very beginning, again speaking to Lilo’s nature to offer other misfits a sense of belonging like she herself doesn’t have.

The two misfits go on a series of adventures around the island, but even in that we can still see Lilo’s desperation to belong as she apologizes and still attempts to befriend the girls who have bullied her and treated both herself and Stitch as pariahs.

Later in their adventures we see them eating at Nani’s job. The 4th house is representative of the sign of Cancer, opposite of the 10th house which is representative of the sign of Capricorn. Nani displays many themes of the 10th house, tirelessly bouncing from job to job to provide for Lilo and although she initially wanted to fulfill Lilo’s wish and give her a companion, Stitch threatens her job search and the already flimsy structure of their house so much that she can’t afford the sympathy in gifting him a sense of belonging like Lilo can. She is just about to throw Stitch out of the house when Lilo brings up a quote from her deceased parents, Ohana.

“Ohana means family…”

Despite being a young girl, Lilo is very attached to the memory of her parents, keeping a picture of them underneath her pillow. She also keeps a physical book copy of the “The Ugly Duckling”. In it she explains the story of a baby duckling that is sad because “he’s been left behind by his family and nobody wants him. But they hear him crying and they find him and now he is happy because he knows where he belongs.”

The night when Stitch threatens to run away, he takes her copy of the Ugly Duckling with him. Lilo tries her best to convince him to stay, fearing losing the only friend other than Nani that she has ever had. When he still leaves, though disappointed she says that she will still never forget him as she “never forget anyone who leaves” before looking at the family picture with her parents again and tucking it back underneath her pillow.

The next morning Stitch comes back, trying to escape capture. Naturally she misses her friend and helps him to evade from Jumba and Pleakly trying to arrest him, even going so far as to sacrifice her doll “Scrump” to blow up in the latter’s face. Things unfortunately go too far when their literal house ends up being blown up. When Stitch finally reveals himself to be an alien, she feels betrayed, as if Stitch took advantage of her need for belonging with his need to escape (the 4th house and 9th house themes again being at odds as the 9th house is 8 spaces from the 4th house, the 8th house signifying deception and destruction). When she is taken instead of Stitch she feels defeated, fearing losing her older sister and her home of Hawaii, she officially belongs to nothing.

Someone that gave her a sense of belonging has left her behind once again.

Finally at the end, upon being rescued and securing Stitch as her pet and best friend for good, Lilo has finally found her sense of belonging. Despite being robbed of a life with her parents, her natural family, she is able to find a family, a tribe, one made up of her older sister along with fellow misfits and aliens just like her.

No one got left behind and no one got forgotten.

As a 4th Houser, depending on the conditions of the house, your sense of belonging has likely fluctuated throughout your life. No one knows to highs a sense of belonging brings and the low a sense of not belonging brings like you.

You may some severe abandonment issues and may have fought to be included, to feel you belong in circles where others were seemingly accepted easily. And if you have it, you fought hard not to loose it.

But in the end, you stop fighting to belong and another alien, or group of aliens, find you.

So even if people have left you in some circles, even if people have pushed you out of others, here's to finding and holding tight to your own “Ohana”.

And keeping onto those memories along the way!

HAMMY'S POSTING. Behold, the Character Inspiration Chart! Or, as I like to call it, the "Little Guys that Remind Me of my Little Guy" Chart. Depending on who you ask, it's practically the same thing. Also Pump is not my OC obviously (I wish I could create a character this peak), but I do make associations with other characters as I write him so that's why I decided to make that my daily About post today! And I'm going to yap about ALL OF THEM.

I feel like Greg from Over the Garden Wall is the most obvious inspiration here. After all, I have written him before! So my "potato-shaped little brother who loves Halloween" experience shows. Greg is not as morally-dubious as Pump is, but he does have his off-the-wall moments; like him throwing the money he received from Endicott down a pond in Ep.5 because, in his words, "he's got no sense, no sense at all" (he and the rest of the group were planning to steal from him to get onto a steamship). I also just really like his half-sibling dynamic with Wirt, it's why I love both characters.

Lilo from Lilo & Stitch feels fitting here. I think they got some stuff in common. Both have an older sister that stepped up due to their parents' absence in some capacity (Pump's parents are not dead but they're THAT absent); both are The Weird Kid(tm) with a liking for the eerie (Lilo tried to curse those girls that are always bullying her and showed up to a Halloween costume party as a dead hula girl, it's obvious); both can throw hands (Mertle and Roy are equally deserving lmao); and they both have a best friend who is as weird as they are. These two would be besties, I'm sure.

Bitsy from Uprooted: Dimwits of the Dimwood is one of my more off-the-rocker choices?? But I think it makes sense. Both are little guys that live in the moment and will say the most unhinged things when you least see it coming. Both are also pretty clueless and airheaded but have moments where they're very observant and, dare I say, sound of mind? Not always, barely ever, but it's there. Also I just think Pump would also think there's a difference between lemons and lemon juice, it sounds in-character.

It took me a moment to choose a character from this particular anime, but in the end I decided to settle for Bo Suzuki from Crayon Shin-chan and not somebody like Shinnosuke Nohara himself, for example. I think he's Shin-chan's most underrated friend, probably because, just like Pump, he's always going with the flow and following his friends on whatever they're doing. But he has also shown to be one of the more independent and mature kids of the Kasukabe Defense Organization. Both are also interested in the paranormal and urban legends and collecting strange things as a hobby (Bo loves strange rocks, Pump loves bugs). We have also never seen either of their parents on-screen so, yeah. Oh and Bo learned how to drive the school bus just from watching the school principal drive it every morning, which I also see Pump somehow figuring out??

Scott Malkinson from South Park is one of my favorite characters ever and someone I have also written in the past. Hell, one of my dumbest pipedream headcanons is that they're cousins, because I think it's funny. Neither of them is particularly bright, nor self-aware. Both are also on the chubbier side, ridiculously strong, curly-haired brunets. No, legit, Scott is, like, the strongest playable character in Fractured But Whole. Both are also often targets of bullying by kids that are objectively bigger than them, but they take it in stride most of the time.

Funny that I have not mentioned it whatsoever in the last three bullet points, but I also consider how a character sounds to be very important for my characterization/inspiration choices. Bitsy, Bo and Scott have very particular voices (Bitsy is pretty soft-spoken, Bo is slow-speaking, and Scott has a lisp), which is a trait I also see in Pump. It mostly boils down to me finding how they sound to be charming.

Last, but not least, Suneo Honekawa from Doraemon. If anyone thought Bitsy was a reach, this is the actual reach lol. These two barely have anything in common (Suneo is an outright coward, a mama's boy and avoids all battles he knows he cannot win), but every single time I write Pump being a bit smug or prideful I just imagine Suneo and his silly theme song. Also both of them come from fairly wealthy, middle-to-high class families whose parents are usually absent due to work (at least Suneo's father is). But it's mainly a pride/ego thing. If Pump closes his eyes and is bragging about something, I see Suneo, end of story.

Could there be other characters in the future? Maybe, I'm not sure, it has taken me a couple of weeks to gather enough characters to make this chart as is. Overall, these are some of my strongest picks and I'm pretty happy with how this chart and post came out. Hope this gives everyone a better idea about how I like to characterize my Pump!

💜 Jumba x Pleakley: Comfort 💚

Summary :: Pleakley is having some negative thoughts eating away at him, and Jumba tries comforting him. <3

Warnings :: Physical touch, crying, self hatred, internalized homo/transphobia, kissing.

Notes :: Romantic, NO nsfw.

It had been a long day for Pleakley. And by a long day, he means that his day was full of watching talk shows and reading gossip magazines. Lilo and Stitch had caught another one of Jumba's experiments yesterday. They were gone most of the day today, trying to find where it truly belongs, and Nani was at who knows where working all day, leaving Jumba and Pleakley alone with eachother at home. This was very common in the Pelekai household, and it's not like that's a terrible thing. Pleakley and Jumba love each other. But sometimes Pleakley felt left out, and weirdly different.

Lilo was the sweet little kid who loved Hula, mummies and monsters, taking pictures of tourists and being a kind soul to all. She and Stitch were always together, him being the cute little blue "dog" that was Lilo's best friend.

Nani was the hard worker, always providing for her family by doing shifts day and night. She kept everyone in tact and under control.

Jumba was the smart one, who you could always go to for questions. He created Stitch and all the other 628 experiments. He was always making something new in his free time.

And what was Pleakley..? The one eyed noodle crossdresser..? He had read countless magazines and articles about feeling low on yourself... and how you should think of the good things, not the bad things. But sometimes its not just that easy.

Pleakley flopped down on the bottom bunk where he sleeps every night. He laid there for a moment, wallowing in self pity.

He didn't understand why he was so different from everyone else. It confused him how whenever he watched his drama filled romance shows, all the couples were boys loving girls, or girls loving boys.

He didn't get it. He was always being pushed by his mom to find a wife or a girlfriend, but it never felt right.

In reality, it felt embarrassing to keep on "pretending" to be confused. He knew what it was.

He didn't like girls. Not in that way, at least. He liked boys. At some point, he decided to look up these feelings on Jumba's computer. He found out what these feelings he'd been experiencing his entire life meant. In a way, it was reliving.

He was gay. ...and a genderfluid cross dresser.

As Pleakley was laying on his bed, his thoughts taking over his mind, his big eye producing tears, he didn't hear his door open.

"...Pleakley..?"

A big, soft hand was planted on his back in a comforting way. Pleakley immediately jumped up and tried wiping his tears. "O-oh! Jumba? Uh... sorry this is sorta a bad time... um..." His antenna seemed to droop down a bit.

"Is... crying..?" Jumba held the side of Pleakley's face, even though it was turned away from him. He then moved his face around to look at himself. "Pleakley okay..?" His words came out soft and genuine, a side of Jumba that was usually only for Pleakley's eye to see.

Pleakley looked up at him with his loving eye, making straight eye contact. He opened his mouth to speak, but nothing came out, so he just pushed himself onto Jumba and they gave eachother a big, loving hug. "ehh... 's okay..." Jumba mumbled while awkwardly patting Pleakley's back. Pleakley and Jumba stayed enveloped in this position for a while, Pleakley sobbing into his shoulder and Jumba slowly getting more comfortable and holding him.

Pleakley suddenly pulled away. "I-I'm..." his voice sounded even more high pitched than normal. "...sorry, Jumba." Jumba looked at him with a puzzled expression. "What is to be sorry about..? Is ok. Pleakley is ok." He said while wrapping his arm around his noodly body. Pleakley leaned into the hug once again.

"...am I weird, Jumba..? Maybe I don't belong here..." He looked down at the ground.

Jumba's eyes widened and he picked up Pleakley's face to face him once again. He seemed to be trying to find the right things to say. "Everyone weird in some way! And weird is okay. Weird is different, as little girl would say. And normal is boring." He finished his sentence with a smile. "...Pleakley belongs just as much as little girl. Or older sister. Or surfer boy, or 626. ...or evil genius." He pointed to himself. "You... Um..." Jumba seemed to have trouble getting his words out now. "Um... Pleakley's existence is important... Important to me. Not wanting you to leave anytime, you know..?"

Pleakley looked up at Jumba as he said these words.

Jumba rubbed the back of his own head as he continued talking. "...many, many, things about you that is good. Tryer of being funny, dresser-uper, nice... nice to everyone. Y-you make Jumba feel happy. Like wanting to hold you."

Jumba looked down at Pleakley and made eye contact with him, just before looking away again.

"I... um..." Jumba said while fidgeting with his fingers.

Pleakley reached out his limp arm and put his hand over Jumba's. He gave Jumba a warm smile and whispered quietly to him. "Jumba... I love you." Jumba looked every which way trying to avoid eye contact with his lover, the compliment now having a permanent home in his mind. His face also seemed to be more rosy pink that usual. "U-um... Yeah...! Jumba... Love Pleakley too." After a short pause of looking at eachother, Jumba confessed this again, but more prominent. "I... Love you too, one eyed noodle." He playfully nudged Pleakley's shoulder.

Pleakley looked up at him with an eye full of tears and love. "Thank you, Jumba... i-it... means a lot to me." Pleakley positioned him self to lay on Jumba's lap, staring up at him. Jumba suddenly grabbed him with one hand and sat him up.

"Uh... try... Earth love ritual..?" He said with a small, sheepish smile. "...saw older girl and surfer boy lover doing this." As he finished his sentence, he swiftly moved closer to Pleakley and gave him a soft kiss on the cheek. He pulled away, both of their cheeks now a cherry red.

Pleakley smiled ear to ear and jumped up onto Jumba and hugged him tightly. He whispered a loving "Thank you..." Into his ear as Jumba laid down on the bed with Pleakley on top of him. He put his hand over his slim body, holding him. He mumbled "mhm..." Back before they both fell asleep, Pleakley safe in Jumba's loving arms. <3

What did Lilo and Mertle’s college dorm look like and how did Lilo and her friends react to exam results in a funny headcanon?

I’ve answered the first question before, but let me see if I can give the bite-sized version; it changes styles and looks over the 4 years the girls live there -

Mertle and Lilo’s dorm had polished brown wooden walls and flooring, two twin beds instead of bunk beds (like a hotel room, actually; Honolulu U. is fancy and Mertle would never have accepted bunk beds anyway), a side table each. One desk by the single window, a small bathroom, and the carpet is sage green, patterned with dark green palm fronds! Lilo had a carved wooden Elvis lamp Stitch made her on her bedside table, and her side of the room is way messier than Mertle’s. Tons of pictures of the CHGH and her family all over the wall above her bed, of course, as well as photos of tourists in their unnatural habitat. Lilo had her own custom-made galactic laptop, like Jumba’s, but orange. Mertle’s side of the room was usually all matching colors and very neat, with a shelf of hula trophies and the latest magazines stacked on the desk. Lilo’s side had old note sheets crumpled everywhere, all colors of the rainbow decorating it, and her Earth Ambassador badge was pinned to the headboard of her bed.

As for exam results, it’s not really grounds for humor, but I’ll tell you about it if you want! Teresa is the most studious of the bunch, so she’s never freaking out regardless of grades. She usually gets positive feedback, unless she’s had a bad hair day, and those are the days her exams take a hit. Elena bakes treats if she gets a good result, and every time she gets a bad result she goes and cleans and reorganizes her dorm room like an insane person, giving her plenty of time to vent any frustrations. Teresa hates that (they’re roommates). Yuki doesn’t go to the same college, but she’s by far the worst student among them - that’s okay, though, because she’s great at hockey and other athletics and that’s what she’s in school for anyway. Victoria is the coolest head of the group, and she’s very mid when it comes to studying or reacting to grades. She’s very mature about it - she does her best and if she doesn’t get great results, she chalks it up to her own flaws and resolves to improve next time (but she’s much more focused on her music and creative endeavors than any exams coming up). Mertle is the queen of panicking - and the queen of bragging if she succeeds! She’s the biggest headache over exams. Zeke gets really good grades if he remembers to study and if he remembers to show up. He’s not quite as mature as his gal pals in that respect, but he’s great musically, and like Yuki with sports, that’s where his goals lie really.

Lilo is a bad student. Lilo is a horrible student. Lilo chews her pens and comes at exam questions at baffling angles that make professors re-read her answers a dozen times and scratch their heads. Lilo is late to every test. Lilo tries really hard to do well at exams, but she’s got a lot on her plate between the will-they-won’t-they going on with herself and Zeke, Mertle’s daily freakouts, trying to keep up with whatever Stitch is doing in the BRB 9,000, and any responsibilities being the Ambassador for Earth has.

🌪 mertle absolutely loathes sweet candies and finds it odd when people prefer sweet ones to sour ones. 🌪 in mertle’s eyes, bullying is okay, it builds character…. and it in turn, it stops people from being so WEIRD all the god damn time. 🌪 she claims she doesn’t care that her father stopped coming around… but it has really heavily impacted her. on the rare occasion he calls or reaches out, it sends mertle into a spiral. in turn, she has ridiculously bad trust & abandonment issues. 🌪 girl friends are more like…. pawns. the individuals she chooses to keep 'close' have to benefit her or her status in some way. she keeps her more powerful friends at an arms length, as she finds it easier to surround herself with people she can bully and manipulate into seeing her as their superior. 🌪 the primarily fuel for her hatred towards lilo is that she is envious of her lack of regard for what other people think about her… how can one NOT care?? 🌪 hawaii is in her blood, and whilst she dismisses many of the values her culture holds through her selfish and insecure need to be on top, her heart still misses her island and the warm sun and the never-ending beaches. 🌪 mertle is the sound of a volcano rumbling in the distance, building up tension and smoke and heat as it festers- the contents so hot and fueled with the desire to explode and bring awareness of its presence to everyone around. 🌪 hula is something she still practices daily, it’s a great core workout and it makes her feel connected to the parts of home she actually liked. she’s even started learning other types of dance because movement allows her mind to go quiet for once. 🌪 mertle will have the occasional drink or shot, but she knows her limits. when you're sloppy, you have the opportunity to say and do things that people may judge you for…and being judged or looked at funny is not something mertle is okay with. AT. ALL. 🌪 mertle suffers from dyslexia and was a terrible student because of it, not being able to receive the assistance she needed ( not that she asked for it because she refused to admit anything was wrong with her ). it's something she's really embarrassed about.

It's not for kids. It's for adults only

Lilo had just woken up from her sleep, rushing downstairs so she could get her hands on some breakfast with Stitch. Nani’s cooking was to die for, and Lilo couldn’t wait to get another bite of her excellent breakfasts. However, today was a bit different, as when they arrived at the table they were met with… A bowl of plain oatmeal.

“Nani, what is this?” Lilo asked, confused. “What happened to breakfast? It looks all mushy and gross.”

“That’s oatmeal, Lilo. I’m trying to get us to eat healthier, we go through so many sugary snacks, it’s not good for you.” Nani explained, much to the chagrin of Lilo.

She crossed her arms in a fit, “Well, I’m not eating it! Can’t you make me some pancakes instead?”

“No, Lilo. Just try it, you may like it! Stitch seems to be enjoying it.” Nani mentioned, pointing out the blue alien ravaging his bowl, slobbering all over it as he consumes the oatmeal, and the bowl it came in.

Lilo sighed. “He doesn’t count, he’ll eat anything. But I don’t wanna, I’m not gonna eat the gross oatmeal!”

Nani sighed, shrugging her shoulders. “Then I guess you just won’t have anything at all.” She responded, acting much more stern. “I’d suggest getting used to this new diet, because I’ve got a new lunch picked out for you as well.”

Lilo grimaced as she watched Nani putting in some weird, long green stalks into her lunchbox, and slumped her head down, stomach growling in anger. But her stubbornness refused to cave to Nani’s pressure. “You can’t send me to hula class hungry, Nani!”

“It’s your own fault, Lilo. If you just ate your food like a good girl, you wouldn’t be hungry. Unless you changed your mind?” Nani asked, pulling out the food once more, but Lilo just scowled and slumped back down in her chair.

“I can’t believe it, Stitch. What kind of sister deprives her own sister of tasty food?” Lilo asked Stitch as they walked to hula school. “At least you seemed to enjoy it… I dunno how you could stomach it.”

“Rrh… Too picky!” Stitch responded, “You should just learn to enjoy it.”

“Ugh, you’re sounding just like her! Can’t believe this…” Lilo stormed off ahead of Stitch, cheeks puffed up in a rage. It seemed everyone was against her, when all she wanted was to keep eating the food she loved! “I’m not THAT fat… Am I?”

Before she could ponder this question further, Lilo heard a sudden noise coming from an alleyway. The tumbling and rustling was enough to catch her attention, and investigate it further, snooping into the dark path and peering inside. “Hello? Is anyone there?”

Suddenly, from the trash, a yellow creature leaped out! Lilo tried to step back, but it soon latched up on top of her and clung like a snare. “Nngh! Mmmmnnph! Oh no, I can’t get it off! What the heck is this thing?” Lilo asked, unable to pull the creature off no matter how hard she tried.

As she wobbled and swayed around struggling to get this weird alien off her dome, a chef from the bakery next door came out with a big box of donuts. He was about to apologize for nearly bumping into the stumbling girl, but as soon as he looked at her, he suddenly had an urge to proclaim, “A-ah, so sorry, my liege! Please, accept this order of 2 dozen donuts as compensation for interrupting your day!”

Before Lilo could say anything, the man bowed respectfully before placing the donuts on the ground, and heading back inside. Lilo looked down, a confused smile on her face. “Huh… I wonder what that was about? Could it be… That you’re making me seem like royalty?”

The alien looked down with a smile and nodded, cheerfully obliging with Lilo’s desires.

“Wow! With you, I could get so much done… Hup!” Lilo lifted up the box of donuts and stuffed her face with another. “Mmm, it turns out this day isn’t gonna turn out as bad as I thought! Let’s get to hula class, uhm… Hm… What was your name?”

The alien dropped a card that they seemed to have on them, it had an experiment number and his name, Checkers. “Okay, Checkers. Let’s see how you do at school!”

Lilo made her way over to hula class, opening the door with an air of superiority and smugness. Her teacher turned around, all the other students already in the middle of a session. “Lilo, is that you? You’re late, I hope you won’t turn this into a-”

Just like before, once her teacher took a look at Lilo, his eyes flashed yellow and his perception was altered. “Oh, my apologies, Queen Lilo! What is it you’d like from us?”

Lilo scratched her chin, and smiled pointing at all the students, who were also under her spell. “I want everyone to give me their lunches, and more food on top of that! And something to sit down on!”

The teacher nodded as he began calling up some nearby restaurants for delivery, and all of the students started scrambling around for their lunches. Piles of lunch boxes and food started to form around Lilo and she leaned back in the comfy ‘throne’ she was given to relax upon.

“Mmm, so good!” Lilo smiled, stuffing her mouth with a leftover slice of pizza from a random brown bag. “I wish Nani could see me now, eating all this junk food and not listening to her stupid diet!”

“You want us to contact Nani? We can have her come over right away, my queen!” The teacher offered.

Lilo was about to deny, but she grinned and accepted instead. “Of course, let her come. The more who can come and help feed me, the better!”

Nani was working at another one of her jobs, a local fast food place. She was often bombarded with greedy customers, spoiling parents, and all the like, and it just made her grateful she was doing her part to make sure Lilo grew into a healthy, young girl.

It was a relatively boring day, her just cleaning up around the place, when she suddenly got a call on the work phone. She picked it up giving the classic greeting, only to hear Lilo’s hula instructor on the other end!

“Hello, we need 50 extra-large combo meals for delivery, please.” A voice yelled in the background, and he altered his request. “Oh, sorry, I mean 500.”

“Five hundred… What could you possibly need five hundred meals for? We can barely make fifty at once on such short notice!” Nani exclaimed.

“Ma’am, this is for the Queen of Hawaii! She demands food to be given to her, all that can be offered, and we must not betray her trust! I will not return to her empty-handed!” The hula instructor demanded once more.

‘Queen of Hawaii?’ Nani thought, a bit baffled by this prospect. There wasn’t a Queen of Hawaii, was there? She shook her head, “Who is this Queen of Hawaii, and why would they need you to order this food for her? What’s going on over there?”

“Nani!” A manager called over. “Please don’t antagonize the customers, just give them what they want!”

“They want five hundred orders of food, sir!” Nani called out. “We can’t possibly make-”

“Then tell them it’ll take a few hours, but you’ll have it out to them soon.” The manager stated, heading back into his office.

Nani groaned, rubbing her eyes sorely. “Okay… Who should I make this out to?”

“Make it out to her Royal Highness… Lilo Pelekai.”

Lilo had been getting food orders from across all of Hawaii, stuffing her face with pizza, burgers, ice cream, donuts and more. She scarfed down each meal, adding to her weight while all of her fellow students just piled on more weight, fanned her with giant leaves, and entertained her with their hula dances.

“Mmph, now this is the life~” Lilo smiled, groping her fat belly while stuffing another cream-filled eclair into her mouth. “No healthy and boring foods, no doing what I have to… I can eat all I want, do whatever I want, and keep getting as big as I’ve always wanted to!”

“Your weight looks so heavenly on you, Queen Lilo!” The teacher stated. “Being skinny is absolutely the worst!”

“I know, I’m jealous of how fat you’re getting! I wish we could be fat like you!” Mertle admitted, something she never would have had she not been under Checkers’ influence.

Lilo giggled. “Of course you do, I feel so great being fat… I’ve always idolized it, and now I can finally experience it! All of it… Omph, noulmph… Ghooulp! M-more, bring me MMHHUUUUOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAARRRBPP!” Lilo cried out through belched screams, her huge, fat-filled body wobbling around aggressively.

“No, this ends here!” Another voice called out from behind Lilo, who recognized it as none other than Nani. “I don’t know what’s gotten into you, but I’m not going to allow this!”

Lilo scoffed, turning her head around and staring at Nani. “I think you WILL let me do this, because I am the QUEEN of Hawaii now! You’ll love how big I am, you’ll want to feed me more, and none of that healthy, boring stuff you were trying to feed me this morning!”

Nani was about to fight back but, upon staring at the alien ‘crown’ that Lilo wore, she was hypnotized the same way everyone else was. Her scowl turned to a light smile, and she walked up to Lilo. “Of course, how could I be so cruel? You’re clearly happier this way, and I would never want to do anything to upset you. Now how’d you like me to order you some more food, your majesty?”

“Heck yes! I never wanna STOP eating!” Lilo cried out loud, to which Nani chuckled teasingly.

“That can certainly be arranged. Anything at all for my darling queen~” Nani smiled, giving Lilo a loving kiss on the forehead.

The next few hours were dedicated solely to feeding Lilo. While at first she was able to feed herself fine, those huge, thick haunches of meat swaddling her arms able to, though just barely, reach down and shovel greasy, sweet, fattening food into her expanding jaw would soon prove too taxing on her obese body to do herself, so her peons were now made to constantly be feeding her and her swelling gut.

On top of that, as her belly spread across the wooden floorboards, there were those who were ordered to massage and knead the swelling dough blob that was Lilo’s belly, including her thick lovehandles, her fatty breasts, her gigantic ass, and her various other folds growing and adding onto her gigantic body. All that could be heard through the entire classroom was Lilo’s moaning, gulping, munching and everyone else cooing and awwing at her enormity.

Everyone was fully enamored and enthralled by Lilo, adoring her size and wishing just as much as she did to make her as fat as possible. But as she kept growing, her huge size stretching across the floor like a pool slowly being filled with water, the building she was in was quickly running out of space to fit her huge body in! Especially with how the food seemed to just get bigger and bigger.

But Lilo didn’t seem too pressed about losing the building, in fact she was more than eager to burst right out and expose her size to the whole world. “H-hurry, I need to get big enough for EVERYONE to see me! All of Hawaii will soon be under my control… And I’ll get so much BIGGER!”

“Yes, Lilo!” Her crowd of supporters cheered. “Lilo the Massive will grow until she replaces our bountiful land with all her dark-skinned beauty! Bigger! More food! Make the queen as big as she desires!”

“Y-yes, more… S-stuff me, FEED ME! It’s never enough, not enough food, not enough FAT… I will be… HUUUUUGE!” Lilo cried out, another belch shaking the ground and walls around her.

From outside, one could easily make out the hula building stretching out rather noticeably, with fat sticking out from every opening window, every broken area in the wall, but soon, with enough weight, the whole building will come crashing down.

This sight dragged plenty of onlookers, all curious to see just what was happening here. After some light creaking and popping, the building completely exploded and, replacing it, was the queen of Hawaii, Lilo Pelekai!

Immediately every civilian watching her knew what to do, and began calling up food stores and personal friends to head over and bring them food to feed this massive girl. As luck would have it, one of those people had connections to a nearby factory, a pastry factory, and managed to convince them all to bring over every vat of batter they had for Lilo to consume.

Lilo could see it all, helicopters flying from all across Hawaii directly to her, all carrying various foods and tubes that they dropped down on top of her and began to stuff her silly with. Several tubes were now shoved into Lilo’s mouth, only leaving enough space to eat the other food she was given, and to breathe.

With the food now filling her up twice as fast as before, she grew at an incredibly rapid rate. Lilo went from a building-sized blob to a mountainous mass in no time at all, her fat spreading across the city and all throughout the island she lived on as people continued to revel and feed her enormous body.

Lilo could hardly handle it all, her royal powers forcing everyone, even Stitch, to obey her every command. And all she wanted was to make them feed her into the biggest blob imaginable.

“D-don’t stop… N-never stop… More… Mooooore…!” Lilo cried out, muffled by all the food being pummeled into her, swelling into an unrecognizable mass of highly-respected royal blubber. She would continue to spread her massive weight across this remaining island, eating and devouring until she soon reached the ocean. But even this didn’t stop her, as she kept eating to reach the rest of this island-connected state.

More and more did Lilo consume, food being shoved into her until it was all gone. Nobody remained and there was no food left to eat, and as Lilo gazed across the endless landscape of fat she’d turned herself into, head barely able to turn from all the weight she gained, she realized something.

There was still a whole world to control, to crush, to force into servitude… But she just needed a way to broadcast herself. To show the world her face, and force them all into feeding her so her endless binge could finally resume. That’s when Stitch finally popped up, escaping from one of her several fat folds gasping for air.

“Hey, Stitch.” Lilo moaned, her voice deep and a bit belchy. “C-could you livestream my face for a bit? I need to send a message… To the whole world.”

Stitch nodded, pulling out a phone from another fat fold and hit ‘record’, live streaming this directly to the internet.

“Greetings, Subjects. I am Lilo Pelekai, the Queen of Earth. I demand you to deliver all your food to what once was Hawaii, but now is my throne. Help me crush this planet, swallow it whole with my blubber, for a meal is all that you are to me. Your only goal in life… Is to feed me, and make me massive. Send this to everyone, and have them send it to more people. Ensure everyone gets this message. For your darling, fatty Queen!”

With that being sent out, all Lilo would have to do was wait. Wait for it to reach enough people so that her binge could once again resume, and then once she’s outgrow Earth she would seek out other planets, other lifeforms to help her outgrow the galaxy… The Universe… Everything!

Her dreams were as big as her appetite, and Lilo wasn’t about to give up on either now. Not when the helicopters were coming back with her third of many endless breakfasts~

Stitch AND Lilo both appear in a original story in this new book I saw today at Sam’s Club. It shows one of the rare ‘non summer’ moments for Lilo, her school day!

It’s bring your pet to school day and Stitch has his own little adventure though the school, all the other kids bring pets too so we get to see what the Hula girls have, spoiler alert Myrtle doesn't have Gigi yet!

The illustrations are beautiful and I love seeing all these new characters, the teacher and kids aren't named but they are great designs and look unique! A FROG character finely gets a name too! About time!

My third and final Roman Empire is how much Lilo and Stitch enforces the importance of Ohana- and how you will be MISERABLE i f you don’t have it that great or even at all.

This is about a 10-15 minute read. I worked hella hard on this, but if you want to skip it, you can scroll to the bottom where I summarize it all.

Starting off with Lilo. Lilo was absolutely miserable in the first movie. She was insecure and a brat. She was insecure because she did not have that parental love she needed- all she had was sisterly love and support. That isn’t enough for a developing child. She seeked validation from kids her age- Myrtle, Elena, Yuki and Teresa. Since they were miserable to her, it made her even more of a brat. A lot of the people in the town treated her differently. Her trauma was making her so weak and insecure while simultaneously making her aggressive and bratty. It was taking a toll. She’s literally seen making a wish for a friend that won’t leave her.

However! After she met Stitch, she had somebody she could relate to- because HE was treated differently too, when all he needed was an Ohana.

That brings us to Stitch! Stitch couldn’t help that he was aggressive. He couldn’t help that he was different from every other creature around him. He couldn’t help that he couldn’t behave. It hurt him that he didn’t have anybody to relate to. Nobody to call his friend either. How could anybody trust an “evil” and “disgusting” monster like him?

Once him and Lilo met, they found each other so relatable. They liked each other from the moment they met. From here, he worked on his behavior because he had emotional support from Lilo to improve. Even if there were struggles, they both still found friendship. And because Stitch attracted Jumba and Pleakley to go to earth, Lilo’s orphaned childhood came to an end. This is why she isn’t so miserable in the second movie.

Stitch DID have issues in the second movie, but the power of Lilo’s love did cure him- once again, showing the power of Ohana.

However, Myrtle Edmonds did not get this good ending so quick . That’s why throughout the entire show, she’s -if not as evil- nearly as evil as Dr. Hamsterviel. She ENJOYS seeing Lilo suffer. I QUOTE from episode Slugger, she said “I just want to see Lilo suffer.” But what’s the context of these sadistic tendencies?

Myrtle Edmonds has daddy issues. Her mom and dad divorced, and she’s just a little girl. It’s implied that the dad is very bigoted and entitled, and she’s just carrying on what’s left of her daddy. It’s obviously a big issue since her mother spoils her- it’s her way of just getting over the divorce. It’s her way of sugarcoating it. What much can a single mom do? What’s even worse is her auntie doesn’t remember Myrtle’s name. She calls her Maureen. She doesn’t care to go to or even engage in Myrtle’s special events. There’s a reason she’s not in the family picture. If you watch this moment in the episode, you can see that Myrtle has the least amount of family out of all the Hula students.

She’s so quick to call out Lilo for her insecurities- for being orphaned, for how weird she is, for how much of a failure she is. It gets her pleasure because it disguises her feelings towards her own broken family.

In the end of the Leroy and Stitch, the end of the franchise (cinematically speaking), she says that her experiment puppy Gigi wants to get into Lilo’s Ohana picture. Instead of just letting Gigi go, guess who joins in the picture too?

Guess who feels happy joining an honest, supportive, real Ohana?

She was evil because of her own issues.

Speaking of projection!

This brings me to Reuben. I know, I know. He’s not a true villain, because he’s just lousy and sits on the sidelines and eats sandwiches 24/7.

Right?

No. This is sadly why he is so easy to dismiss for having genuine deep hurts. He’s probably the most surprising one to have issues.

The lazy sandwich eater has insecurities about family?

His insults are initially funny and are obviously for comedic purposes (it’s a children’s show), but over time, they are extremely degrading towards Gantu. It goes from jokes to genuine projection. A prime example is in episode 28 (Dupe), where Gantu is venting about his childhood after Reuben gave him the ok to do so. Gantu talks about how he never fit in and how people like his dad expected so much from him. Reuben shouts “your life is a boring failure!”

Reuben was so much of a failure to where he was completely disregarded and not given a name, unlike the other 625 experiments. He was completely disregarded and forgotten by Jumba because he was “useless.” He had all the abilities of stitch, even had high intelligence and language programming, but because Reuben wasn’t perfect 100%, he was considered a failure and was thrown away. Didn’t fit in and wasn’t good enough.

He was so irrelevant and disregarded to where even Lilo forgot about him- saying “Oh! I haven’t given you a name!” And you know her. She cares to give every other 625 experiments a name.

Unlike Stitch, he didn’t have a family to teach him how to behave. He didn’t have a family to show him affection. He didn’t have a family to show him what was right and what was wrong- to help him improve.

Can’t go against your snarky programming anyway.

Unless you have the power of having Ohana.

Just like Stitch did.

They both are programmed to be destructive in some way. Stitch is destructive physically, and Reuben is destructive emotionally. They both are freed from this programming via Ohana.

The moment Lilo gives Reuben a name, he stops being mean. You will never see him be mean to anybody ever again. It didn’t even take a real family- unlike every other character.

It took a name.

The one who nearly suffered as much as Lilo was Gantu.

Gantu was the one who spent all of his life with a terrible family life. He spent his entire childhood being pushed by his father to become a highly superior figure. He was just a normal child/teen with a highly authoritarian father pushing him to become something he didn’t want to become.

He finally felt like he was amounting to what his father wanted him to be when he was captain under the Grand Councilwoman. When stitch caused him to get fired, he was so determined to hurt stitch. Not because he was evil and greedy. Because he was so desperate to keep proving himself that he was worthy of something his father wanted.

It wasn’t until he heard about the concept about Ohana that he became good. Reuben explains to him the Ohana concept that Lilo gave to him, and those words changed Gantu’s outlook. Those few words made Gantu permanently good.

Two (main) villains in the franchise were cured by words and a name. Think about that.

Hamsterviel? Haha! Sorry. I can’t figure this little guy out. He’s just pure evil. (Let me know if you can figure him out!)

IN SUMMARY:

Lilo was a brat and insecure because she didn’t have family. However, when she gained family, particularly stitch, she stopped being so miserable.

Stitch was destructive and did not fit in with others around him, and it hurt him. However, after meeting Lilo, learning how to behave and forming an Ohana, he stopped being so miserable.

Myrtle was degrading and sadistic because of her own family issues, particularly daddy issues. However, when she felt the satisfaction of joining Lilo’s Ohana picture, she stopped being so miserable.

Reuben was also rude and insulting because he he was forgotten and considered a failure, and was also never taught how to behave, because of a lack of a family- unlike Stitch. However, when Lilo simply gives him a name, for him it’s considered affection. It’s Ohana to him. He stops being miserable- all because of a name.

Gantu was very strict and ruthless because it is what his cruel father pushed onto him. He worked so hard in multiple jobs to prove to both himself and his father that he was good enough. However, when Reuben introduces the concept of Ohana via Lilo, Gantu joins Lilo’s side and is no longer miserable- all because of words. He joins a non-toxic family.

If I had to put it in a timeline: Lilo and stitch start off miserable yet form a family. Lilo angers Myrtle because she is jealous of Lilo for overcoming her family issues. Stitch angers Reuben because he is seen with a family, meanwhile is so forgotten because he is that much of a failure. However, once Myrtle sees all of cousins at the fight, she feels included. This is why she wanted to join the picture with the cousins at the end of the movie. Also, when Lilo gives Reuben some affection, he passes that onto Gantu- a broken character with daddy issues. Gantu and Reuben, the two villains, become good because of Ohana.

I have two Roman Empires. They surround Reuben and Gantu. (Third one is in the reblogs!)

My Roman Empire is how Reuben literally stopped being rude to everybody when Lilo gave him a name. A NAME. From the 65 episodes, all those insults he spewed out… that snarky attitude he gave everybody… all the hurt feelings he caused ended at this moment. You never see him being mean to Lilo, Gantu or Stitch ever again. He literally considers something as simple as being given a name affection.

He went the entire show without a name, just being called 625. Meanwhile, if not all, most of the other experiments had a name. Pretty sure it made Reuben feel that he was irrelevant, forgotten and most of all: failed. Perhaps that's ONE of the reasons he STAYED so rude throughout the show and like for half the Leroy and Stitch movie; the time he was simply a number?

My second Roman Empire is about how Gantu… this intimidating, strict, ruthless guy

...did not like being evil. He was seeking emotional validation.

"Am I good enough?" I can only imagine him asking himself that after hearing Hamsterviel, Reuben or his father's negative voice in his head. I don’t care if Reuben was “struggling too”, he still didn’t have to project so much.

When Gantu got vulnerable with Reuben in episode 28, he talked about how his father was very authoritarian and strict. He also talked about how his peers looked down on him. Can't imagine how bad he wanted to prove his daddy and peers wrong. He truly did try. It's awful because he even talks about how his life would have been better if he would have stuck with his girlfriend. Deep down, being the captain isn't what he wanted. He wanted to live a normal childhood. Sacrificed it, though, all for his dad.

His first attempt at being what his father pushed him to be was under the Grand Councilwoman. However, after the chaos he and stitch had, she fired him. This is why he had such a hate for stitch throughout the entire show. Not because of selfishness, not because he was evil, but because stitch ruined the pathway that gave him that sense of superiority and validation.

Throughout the show, no thanks to plot armor and gags and jokes, he is constantly failing to capture experiments AND is being ridiculed. It's by everybody- Lilo, Stitch, Reuben, random people. Sometimes it's physical, sometimes it's verbal. It definitely has an effect. Might as well be physical and verbal abuse because of how often and harsh it is.

It’s not normal to call yourself a failure because you don’t know where a street is.

There’s this episode where he prefers to be a guy named “Uncle Chester”. While he’s Chester, he doesn’t have to worry about Hamsterviel’s ruthlessness and doesn’t have to be bullied every single episode. He was delusional as Chester but at least he was happy. He pointed out how he was unhappier as Gantu.

But

There is nobody that affects him as much as Hamsterviel does.

I've ALWAYS been asking myself, "why doesn't he just squish Hamsterviel? Hamsterviel is all bark no bite!" Hamsterviel is the most demanding, controlling, manipulating, obnoxious, and most of all- DEGRADING boss that Gantu has had. However…

Could it be that he resorts to Hamsterviel and never hurts him because it's another chance to prove himself to a figure like his father?
