guys I’m honestly happy that klance didn’t become canon because I love how as a collective group of people we utilize our right to explore what could have been and create the most smoking hot scenarios ever and yes I obviously wanted more of their friendship growing into this bond stronger than anything else in the universe especially since Voltron has teamwork and family as one of their main lessons but that’s more of a development issue all around…ok besides that there’s something about klance where it provides this PERFECT environment for shippers to inhabit and FEAST upon. With klance, there’s a solid, engaging dynamic between the two set up, which is this weird one-sided rivalry that stems from Lance’s insecurity and his need to prove himself of his worth and Keith literally being one of the best pilots for his age but since they’re flung into space and chosen to become child soldiers in this 10,000 year old intergalactic war so they have to work as a team which surprise surprise forces them to put aside their differences and work as a team which is shown a bunch when Keith needs to become a leader and Lance steps up as his right hand and and they have some kinda tender moments that won’t definitely drive shippers into a shipping craze (or worse) SO YEAH you could see why people loved it with all the classic tropes and mutual growth all that schmooze (ALSO THEY KNEW EACHOTHER BEFORE THE MAIN PLOT??? Well maybe not like friends or even acquaintances probably BUT HELLO?????? EVEN MORE SHIT TO EXPAND ON????), and they share multiple scenes that could be interpreted as romantic but there’s no explicit romance. This environment is fucking dripping drenched flash flooded cornered by 1000ft tsunamis in all directions with potential for shipping, so when people saw this relationship between two bros with this sort of homoerotic (IM JOKING. Kinda.) unresolved tension towards each other and the POTENTIAL for a good slow burn rivals to friends to lovers, it was to no one’s surprise that they went APESHIT. Klancers made countless different ways where they get together whether it be pre-Kerberos, post-gettingthefuckoutofearth, the start of the show, the end of the show, after the end of the show, right smack in the middle, anywhere, anytime, for who the fuck knows why just ANY REASON DAMN IT it doesn’t really matter because people were pumping out fanfiction or fan art or any fan media of klance faster than I spit out a raw baby carrot after chewing it for one second and now we’re all wallowing about how it should have been KICK but the thing is that if VLD did KICK all the way to Altea, the production of these beautiful stories that so many people have and still are coming up with about klance kissing in midst of a battle, helping each other with their crippling nightmares, smiling for the stars or some other sad premise, and whatever is nestled in his pulse…just like uhhh the amount of fics like these that go into great detail about Keith and Lance in these random situations that end up with them getting together being produced would go down to some degree because of the fact that if the people’s beloved sharpshooter and samurai had ended up together like we had wanted, and the majority was satisfied with the ending the creators had given, people would have shifted from writing about “How could Lance and Keith get together?” to writing about “What could Lance and Keith do now that they’re together?” And like. There’s nothing wrong with that honestly I would be HYPED if klance was ever canon but there is profound beauty in the way the community is able to create more from less and turn a show that went to shit in the last few seasons shine even brighter than it did at its prime. Like I wouldn’t trade my favorite fics 4 anything.

Ok another little thing I’m going to put here: With Klance, all I wanted was for them to be great friends 😭😭😭. I tend to prefer klance becoming canon in later seasons or at the end or even an open ending with no confirmed romantic relationships because I am a sucker for character development and the idea of Keith and Lance both harboring these feelings that at first are just admiration and respect but then escalate to yearning for one another or becoming close friends at the end of the show and getting to imagine anything I want post canon is EVERYTHING if you give me S7 Garrison klance I’ll keel over and thank you like I was a second away from dying of thirst and your gift was a truck load of water

The fact that Alastor is canonically more comfortable around women is so interesting to me.

He doesn't seem to mind it when Rosie and Nifty touch him or enter his personal space. Rosie also seems to be aware of his plans to some extent. Mimzy has been using him as a get out of jail free card for DECADES before he told her to stop.

Meanwhile, when he interacts with other men it is usually much more hostile. He humiliates Vox, keeps Zestial at a distance and refuses to share information, has a rivalry with Lucifer, and we all remember how the Husk scene went.

And that makes the idea of Alastor being in a lavender marriage in life so much more interesting, too.

Because Alastor is good with women, he genuinely LIKES spending time with them. Chances are he got along well with his wife, possibly being close friends.

And the more I think about it, the clearer I can see Alastor being raised by a single mother and developing "girly" hobbies, such as cooking or sewing, and being used to housework. A well-dressed man who hangs out with plenty of women but never makes an advance. There would be rumors about him being gay, and men would hate him either for getting too close to their wives, for being a pansy, or both.

Alastor, in hell, waiting patiently for his wife. Because she was his friend. Because she never loved him and he never loved her, but extra souls never hurt and he'd rather keep her close than let someone like Vox get his hands on her.

GOD ANON HOW DID YOU READ MY MIND

Like this is EXACTLY what I was picturing holy shit. Alastor raised by a single mother (or with a very absent and/or abusive father), taught how to cook, clean, sew, and garden. I headcanon that he was also a hunter from a pretty young age, but even then they worked together to make an income from the hunting, not just eating or selling the meat but also making clothes from the hides and furs. Alastor is, at his roots, a homemaker which was NOT at all typical for men in his time.

His mother also taught him how to respect women and treat them well, always the perfect gentleman, and that combined with his "oddities" and distrust of men definitely led to his friends being almost entirely women (probably with scattering of queer men). The rumors about him would've been RAMPANT, especially when combined with the racism he'd be facing anyway (Word of God says he's mixed, I headcanon him as Black and Choctaw on his mom's side, white on his dad's), which would just drive him further away from forming any sort of relationships with other men.

I think his wife (I've been headcanoning her as Black too, from a lowerclass family like Alastor's) was probably one of those friends, one of the many women who was easily charmed by his bright smiles and kindness but maybe one of the very, very few people who saw a hint of sharpness in his smile or heard the little thread of truth in his darker jokes. She didn't truly understand Alastor, not like Mimzy did, but she saw enough that he trusted they could have a relatively happy and open life together, with him using their marriage as a shield against suspicion. And the fact that their marriage would benefit her too, giving her more freedom than she would get from living with her family and letting her carry on her relationship with her own lover, was absolutely a bonus.

And they were happy. She didn't tell him about her lover, he didn't tell her about his little hobby, but they were happy. They made a home together, laughed and gossiped over meals, and filled their house with constant music and warmth. Their garden was the envy of their neighborhood (and if she wondered where he got the bones and blood their flowers loved so much, she never asked) and they were the life of every party they were invited to. They didn't love each other, but they didn't need to. They were friends and that's all that mattered.

And yeah, I think Alastor absolutely waited for her or sought her out in Hell. Maybe he never found her and was content in the knowledge that she made it into Heaven. Maybe he found her a few decades after his own death and offered her up a simple contract, something to protect her from other overlords while giving her as much freedom as an owned soul has. He keeps her on as one of his reserved souls (like I mentioned here) and they share meals together every so often and sometimes he summons her to act as a background singer or play an instrument to accompany his singing.

They never talk about their previous relationship, partially because it's just not important to who they are in Hell and partially because it would put her in too much danger. Alastor probably mentions having been married in life a few times and everyone just assumes that Mimzy was his wife and that her contract keeps her from talking about it.

Sol/Ky always confuses me. I understand how it works on a technical level, and I understand the base roots from which it ground itself in (rivalry m/m romance is well established). I think what always gets me about it is that I always thought that the majority of their relationship that they genuinely didn’t like each other.

Anyway though, I can’t imagine Sol saying lover guy in a positive manner. Just thinking about it makes me feel like he’s being insulting towards anyone who he bestows it upon. Just call me an incel, Sol. I know that’s what you mean.

Oh yeah. Canon Sol and Ky, before Strive, would run out into traffic before doing something as familiar as hugging the other haha They LOATHED each other. Well, I think maybe Sol was just annoyed by Ky since Ky was this young punkass trying to be "righteous" and Ky was maybe a bit more antagonistic because Sol kept breaking rules (like stealing Fireseal) and was grating to be around for everyone, which then amped up to Sol also being antagonist towards Ky. They're both at fault. In any case, there was a small undercurrent of respect between them over the others' accomplishments and combat abilities, but overall it was like trying to mix oil and water. Utterly incompatible personalities. They're amicable now, but if circumstances played out differently I think it wouldn't have been outside the realm of possibility that one may have ended up actually killing the other.

That said, the ship likely became THEE m/m romance in Guilty Gear because Big Gruff Alt-Fashion Guy and Small Well-Kept Posh Man, on top of the rivalry thing as you said, is all some people need to ship characters together haha Guilty Gear's lore in general wasn't very deep until Overture dropped either, which left their relationship an open playground for fanworks. I can see how it took off and if the canon is removed from the equation I can see the appeal too, in a way. The canon makes it too uncomfortable for me though, and I think the deep layers of their rivalry makes their relationship more interesting than it would be as a romantic one.

They hate each other, but they respect each other, but they can't stand each other, but Ky trusts Sol enough to raise his kid, but Sol respects Ky in return enough to actually do it. Putting them into a mutually romantic relationship changes all of that. Of course Sol would look after Sin for Ky if he loves Ky, of course Ky would trust him to that degree if him and Sol had hooked up. You know?

The jokes about shipping them are funny because they hate each other so much. There's so much negative energy between them that it loops back around to being mildly homoerotic, and if they saw their relationship from an outside perspective and realized that that's how it looked, they'd lose their collective shit most gloriously. But actual, honest, homoerotic love between them? There's no way it's any deeper than the kinds of jokes long-term platonic friends make towards each other

Doing ok for the most part. Could be better but he's not feeling god aweful. New York was still fairly racist in 1912 but a far cry from the Jim Crow South.

According to the Tuskegee institute, there's only one reported lynching of a black person from the 1880s-1960s. (That's not to say that racial violence of other sorts didn't happen or that unreported lynchings didn't happen, just shows how compared to the South, where people literally had little festivals around lynchings at times and sent postcards about it, hate crimes were generally looked down upon and well...considered crimes) and he has the added benefit of being from a wealthy family that didn't come from an enslaved background. Because Ororo is a recent expat from egypt canonically, so is his family. They run an import/export transport business to the United States which is why they are living there at all. Granted that makes the racism he sees very very obvious to him compared to how he used to live, but the status helps avoid some of the worst of it by avoiding a lot of the financial barriers that prevented black people from escaping poverty and segregation. Segregation in New York, while there, was more financial barrier focused. A lot of places up north had laws against segregation in schools after the civil war, but segregation was often enforced via redlining and such. Cost of living, job prospects, school funding, etc, ect ect. Jim Crow laws didn't start reaching the north in a big way until after wwI.

So cause he comes from money he's able to attend the same school as his friends. He...is not too fond of the kids there and does not fully trust them. They are harmlessly ignorant at the best of times and he doesn't want to get to know them enough to see them at the worst of times. They have a nasty habit of talking down to him and certainly don't act like he's their equal, despite the fact that he is more well traveled and can speak more languages than any of them. (Evan knows French, Arabic, Swahili ,and English in this AU) So he mostly sticks with the institute kids...who absolutely adore him and will not let anyone give him shit. They will avoid places that do segregate to the best of their abilities (you can only avoid public restrooms so much in an emergency), step up to anyone saying something they don't like to him, and generally have his back no matter what, particularly rogue and gambit, who know exactly how bad treatment of black people can get in America at the time. Rouge has basically adopted him as a second little brother at this point, despite him being only a few months younger than her, and as a result, Kurt has also practically physically attached himself to evan. Gambit and Scott both have a no questions asked ride pass for Evan if he needs to go anywhere, Kitty and Evan have bonded over their own shared struggles, and the teachers especially storm have his back no matter what.

He does have some friends outside the institute he plays baseball and basketball at the YMCA and goes on bike riding trips and has made some friends that way. Life isn't easy but he's finding ways to make the best of it.

Also despite their rivalry, or maybe because of it, as of late he's been seeing Pietro a little bit in private to....have chats with him. Friendly ones. Alone. .... I am a sucker for Rivals to lovers okay.

Just to make sure we're all clear I don't want to try and whitewash history, this was not the average experience for black people, even in New york. They experienced a lot of awful shit. I just really like Evan as a character and know how shitty this time could be for black people so I'm giving him the best opportunities I can given in the period. Because Evan deserves the best and he doesn't get enough love in this fandom as is. If anyone has better historical knowledge and would like to critique me on this, particularly black life in New York state at the time, please feel free to I am open to listening because this is not a subject that I am the most knowledgeable on.

I'm going to be honest anon (and I'm aware this makes me something of an outlier in the jttw-adjacent fandom dsfaewdq) but given how completely and sometimes aggressively uninterested in romance or sex jttw-canon Sun Wukong is I've come to imagine that the Mt. Huaguoshan troop would regard any of the people pining after him with either a "damn that sucks :(" or a "lmao get bent loser >:D" attitude depending on how much they like said piner (X_X). With all the shit that's gone down too I could also see them feeling pretty protective over the Monkey King. That's their communal grandpa, not your love interest!

Getting more into it though, while I unfortunately haven't gotten a chance to see it myself I have heard that the similarly canonically aroace 1996 SWK actually does have a pretty great scene between him and I think one of the spider women yaoguai about how he doesn't return her affections but he still hopes to be her friend, and that this works out well. I could easily see the Mt. Huaguoshan troop having witnessed a number of scenes like that themselves! SWK can be a refreshingly blunt character about what he wants and what he doesn't, and given the multitude of friends and allies that the Monkey King makes wherever he goes I could see him having gotten pretty good at being charismatic, reading people, and at times turning them down gently. That said, I do like the idea that he's usually completely blind to anything but the most explicit forms of flirtation or proclamations of romantic affection, which is something that can be very upset-making until or unless things are cleared up. His marshals and generals have likely gotten pretty good at subtly telling him when he's being flirted with so that he can respond accordingly haha.

All that said, I also do wonder the extent to which perhaps especially the marshals and generals Ma, Liu, Beng, and Ba have a lot of reason to worry about how some of the ultimately tragically messy semi-situationships SWK gets involved in with powerful gods and yaoguai will affect the overall stability of Mt. Huaguoshan. Like of course nothing blatant ever happens with Niu Mowang or Erlang Shen for example, but given how the former appears to have just fucked off after the war with heaven was over and didn't concern himself with what happened to the surviving members of the Monkey King's family while the latter was a major player in getting their king captured and mass murdering half of them AND burning their home to ash & then likewise not concerning himself with what happened afterwards, well you can see how that would stir a lot of bitter feelings towards them among the Mt. Huagoshan troop and maybe even some of the monkeys wondering if these guys would have been so vicious and/or uncaring if they didn't feel snubbed by SWK. They'd probably at least initially formulate a lot of hatred towards Zhu Bajie as well for his role in convincing Tang Sanzang to mistrust the Monkey King numerous times during the journey and occasionally getting him an extra round of headband torture time. And also for them having heard him insult SWK when he though he was out of earshot lol.

So overall I imagine that while the Mt. Huaguoshan troop usually sees their king's nonexistent love life as a point of least concern, when it comes to the intense friendships/rivalries/hatreds/situationships he keeps forming with these ultra-powerful figures it's along the lines of:

"My king you have terrible taste in men."

"I do what now?"

"Never mind."

Ohhhgm my god and this video is so adorable .. I've said this before but as much as i love madness I also LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE So Much how on dragon ball everyone is depicted as truly happy healthy open free and LOVING EACH OTHER. Trunks and Goten just wanted to spend time with their fathers whom they love so much. They both assumed that their fathers loved each other as much as goten and trunks themselves love each other. But I dont honestly trhink that that's THAT relevant becasue what we mostly saw of Goten & Trunks in DBZ was friendly fun anyway, just with a bit of teeth, and then in DBGT Trunks is totallllyyyy chilled tf OUT and we don't see any acidity from him ever I think. So the fact that he's not saying slurs in DBS is I think okay. (I am actually greatly intrigued by his personality in DBS becasue I believe that it offers a great transition into the eventual DBGT and becasue it offers A LOT of insight on his Nature and his Nurture. lil late to answering but!! YES!! time for some good ol' AU nostalgia, which is really funny to me because what I know about that movie I learned exclusively through this being a really popular fandom AU like 10 years ago or whatever. anywho!!! the fic:

Macau and Chay know each other vaguely as "that guy (derogatory) from my school"

they don't actually dislike each other. there's no reason for it. this isn't even a rivalry, just that somehow, somewhere in their years of overlapping schooling, they rubbed some shoulders somewhere and went "ugh nope, wrong vibes."

'fuktong1' and 'free waifuuu'* meet on videogame chat boards. it started as a need for an extra player to round out a team, but they like each other best out of the group and soon start coordinating to play together regularly.

its a solid friendship!! neither has any particular desire to bring their friendship out of the videogame/chatroom context yet, but Macau does once send Chay a bundle of games for his old system that Chay wouldn't have been able to afford otherwise.

this changes after Yok's bar.

Chay is…not so fond of shooting games now. being slapped in the face with his lack of awareness is a large part of it, but learning Porsche was literally in a shoot-out while he was tucked away ignorant and oblivious is similarly bad for him. it's a rough time to be Chay basically :(

luckily for him, fuktong1 has never been overly fond of shooting games and has so many recommendations that are much more palatable for Chay's current tastes. they play together more and more, and naturally chat more and more, and overall get much closer.

Macau and Chay's relationship also change. for the worse specifically.

Chay's really going through shit right now -- loansharks and low grade mafia thugs have been beating down his door all his life, and now Porsche is running a mafia branch. (the branch that specifically deals with shaking down people and cleaning up the main family's mess, no less.) he's isolated in the family compound and cut off from everything he's known. somehow his mother's back from the dead (kind of). he's still barely seeing Porsche. Kim's giving him mixed messages. he's really fucking pissed at everything, and Vegas (Macau's brother) was also responsible for (or at least tied to) his kidnapping, second attempted kidnapping, and Porsche's new injuries. Chay has zero sympathy to spare for ANY mafia-related people, and Macau is part of mafia-related people.

Macau is ALSO going through shit right now -- Vegas was shot up and is now bedridden in the hospital. the father who never cared for them is dead. the uncle who cared even less took away their men and home to give to Porsche. the same uncle may or may not being looking after him and Vegas to either kill or use them later. Macau, who was also iced out of the mafia business by a protective brother, has absolutely no idea what's happening as everything spirals out of control. his only support is his (bedridden!) brother's maybe boyfriend, who was previously only known to Macau as his eldest cousin's head bodyguard. he probably has finals to deal with too. it's a rough fucking time to be Macau, ex-fucking-cuse him if he doesn't give a shit about Chay suddenly getting what was previously his and Vegas's wealth and security.

someone more well versed in videogames will have to give me suggestions for what games they play, idk enough about those because ultimately this whole situation is just to force Chay and Macau to see each other in a new light. because they don't have any reason to like each other in or after canon! Vegas and Porsche have their weird friend-enemy dance, because they're bros and like each other, and Porsche can't hold a grudge to save his life and Vegas's relationships are so fucked up that anyone who genuinely likes him bypasses any other complications, but their relationship doesn't translate to Macau or Chay. at all. Macau and Chay both have only ever had their older brother as their support their entire lives and absolutely hold grudges against intruders (for themselves and their brothers).

(how? no clue! maybe they planned to meet up and it went bust, maybe one of Macau's usernames gives a clue? idk.) initially, Chay's outraged, because he keeps dealing with his life suddenly going "and it's mafia!" for fucking everything, and Chay's so, so angry about it all. but he also can't help but put the puzzle pieces together. suddenly realizing his friend fuktong1 has also had to dance around the mafia issues every time they talk and the general recontextualizing of everything his friend ever told him with what Chay now knows about the Theerapanyakul family takes almost all the heat out of Chay's anger towards everything and all he can feel is sad. sad about the circumstances forced on him and Porsche and Macau (and Kim and Khun and Kinn and even Vegas), sad about their loneliness, sad about the trials and burdens the mafia (Korn, Korn and Gun) have put all of them through. it's…a lot to deal with.

(whether this realization happens before his reconciliation with Kim and facilitates it, or happens after it and he has Kim's shoulder to cry on is tbd. depends on which one is the more emotional spin cycle really, it could go either way.)

on Macau's end, he has a brief spike of anxiety and self-pity when his friend free waifuuu abruptly disappeared on him, but he doesn't think anything more on it after he pops up again (he doesn't). their friendship grows deeper as they both open up to each other about more of their personal lives and they're both very sympathetic to each other without ever falling into pity. idk how Macau and Chay's relationship progresses after Chay's discovery or how the 'free waifuuu is Chay' revelation comes about yet, except that there are a lot of tears, a lot of yelling, and ultimately they become proper friends both on and off the chat boards, weird mafia family relationships and that time Chay called Macau 'daddy' for a week after he gave him a bunch of turnips in Animal Crossing aside.

Oh oh oh! Yes!

Okay so I'm a little sick and my thoughts about anything Narcissa femslash related are usually already all over the place so? Bear with me while I type this on my phone?

First: let me establish the specific setting. Since I tend to mess about with Narcissa's age a little depending on the ship bc the canon Black family tree is a right mess that I've decided I can do whatever I want with. For alicissa tho, I tend to just go with Narcissa being 4/5 years older than the marauders, and Alice being like a year older than Narcissa.

And as for any Narcissa headcanon I have, I'm writing this with the idea of trans!narcissa in mind, though it works very similarly if you imagine her as cis. If you want more context for how I see trans!narcissa in canon compliant settings, I have a 7K meta post here but it's not necessary for this (I just like linking it).

Also we're going with some canon compliancy here. No happy endings today.

So.

Alicissa is one of those ships that, for me, starts out genuinely cute. Like... dorcissa starts out as denial and rivalry, narlily can end cute but starts messy. Alicissa starts sweet. It starts hopeful.

It starts in an icecream shop.

I'd say it starts the summer before Narcissa's 5th year, which is the time I headcanon she comes out as trans and has begun her transition. Which means 1. She is quite terrified of making 'another' mistake to embarrass her family and 2. The scariest moments of her life have just been blasted over Witch Weekly and the Daily Prophet. She is scared, she's being very brave about it, and she gets mean when she's nervous. (Well. Meaner than usual.)

Alice has a type of girl she loves and that type is brave and mean and a little sassy.

So you know, when Narcissa comes into Florean Fortescue's, ignores all the stares she gets, and gets snappy when Alice teases her about mint-chocolate chip being the worst flavour to order.... what choice does she really have except to fall in love right then and there?

And I think on Narcissa's side, developing any crush on a girl will always come with a bit of angst. Because from the moment she transitions, she has a very clear path in mind of what to do and what to be in order to make her family proud of them again. (I could go into more detail, but honestly for that if you're interested see the meta linked above.) And dating girls... not a part of that plan.

But she wants to.

And Alice makes it easier to be brave.

They're prefects in different years and different houses and they're good at keeping secrets and Narcissa can get Kingsley, the head boy, to move the prefect schedule so that she and Alice have rounds together. (She knows that Kingsley's into Rodolphus Lestrange like no other, and like I said. She can be a little mean.)

And I think that for that first year. The first two years, even, when they’re still at school and life hasn't gotten quite so tainted with war yet? They're happy. And they're cute. And it feels good. Like it can last.

It can't. Obviously.

One headcanon is that Narcissa starts struggling in school bc yknow she's going through some shit, and maybe there's a subject or two she's never been a natural at and is now falling behind in, and it just so happens that Alice is really good at that. So they can meet publicly in the library while Alice tutors her and Narcissa struggles to get over her embarrassment for needing a tutor.

Narcissa has only ever missed one quidditch game (she hates the game, but her best friends are the Lestrange brothers (oh yes that gets painful later) and they play on the team, sonshe has to go). That's the game Alice convinces her to come into the Gryffindor common room while everyone is gone and they make out in front of the fireplace.

They almost get caught. Narcissa avoids her for about a week. They never take that risk again.

And then the war. Alice graduates first, and I see her as being quite determined to make a difference in the war and unsure how to do it. Obviously the Order is a very secret organisation, and she doesn't know about it immediately, so she becomes an auror.

That's also where she meets her future husband Frank Longbottom (bless that man).

Meanwhile Narcissa is a seventh year, her best friends are losing their parents and are drowning in it and she is trying to balance NEWTs and helping the Lestrange twins and the ever important thing of Not Disappointing Her Parents (Again).

I think, however unjustly so, she starts blaming it on Alice for leaving. Which is obviously not actually Alice's fault bc that's just how gradustion works, but it's easier to blame a girl with who it never could've worked out (and maybe shouldn't have worked out as long as it did), than it is to realise that this is just a shitty collection of circumstances. Or worse, to blame her family. She can never blame her family. (She feels she owes her family too much to blame them)

So by the time Narcissa graduates, she's planning an engagement with Rabastan Lestrange that will fall through soon enough and she hasn't told Alice about yet. Alice, at that point, is an auror who's working together with Frank and feels so very betrayed when she does find out about Narcissa's engagement.

It's one of those things that has always been inevitable. But that Alice couldn't help but secretly hope wouldn't happen anyway.

And I think that's where it goes wrong.

Because Alice tells her not to marry Rabastan, around the same time that Rabastan is trying very hard to destroy everything good in his life because grief isn't kind, and Narcissa is the best damn thing to have happened to him. Druella Black ("you should do better than a miserable second son"), Alice Fortescue ("just get away from all of it"), and Rabastan Lestrange ("why are we bothering anyway?") himself, all tell her to break off an engagement that brought her SO much joy when it became reality.

And so Narcissa decides to hate all of them for it.

Except she can’t. Obviously. But she decides she does anyway.

Because Druella is still the mother she wants to be proud of her, and Rabastan is still her best friend who she wants to protect, and Alice is still the first person she ever really fell in love with. She can’t hate them. But she wants to.

But I think that strains alicissa's relationship a lot. Because it shows that Narcissa isn't just mean, she can be cruel and delusional. And it makes it clear that it doesn’t really matter how much Narcissa loves Alice (because she does. She really does.) Because as brave as Narcissa can be, she's a scared young woman who seeks to protect herself. And protecting herself in pureblood society means marrying a suitable pureblood wizard. It doesn’t mean running away with a halfblood witch and hoping life turns out alright.

Narcissa has always protected herself by planning ahead and following her plan. Alice doesn’t fit into that. And Alice isn't the type of woman who will wait around to see if Narcissa's plans change.

So when Narcissa gets engaged to Lucius Malfoy, and her happy and perfect smile is all over the Daily Prophet, Alice accepts Frank's invitation for a date.

And for a while that's that.

There's some looks, because Frank is a Longbottom and while he's on his way to become a traitor, his great aunt was a Black and he still gets invited to notable pureblood events. Not for long, but long enough. There are some strained conversations and longing glances and even, once or twice, guilt-ridden hookups when their respective husbands are out.

Alice feels a whole lot more terrible about that than Narcissa does. She loves Frank. I swear she does.

Alice is a renowned auror and joins the Order and is a genuine danger to any death eater who comes her way. Narcissa is terrified every day that her husband might die at her lover's hands — or god forbid the other way around.

Alice grows to hate Narcissa during that war. Because how dare she attend charity galas to safekeep the victims of a war, when she damn well knows it's her friends and family waging that war. The hypocrisy and the cruelty too much.

Alice likes her women brave and a little mean. Not cowardly and cruel.

They become mothers around the same time. Two months apart. When they’re both pregnant, they see each other occasionally in the same maternity shops and healer waiting rooms. There's a kinship there and this very strong desire for a closer bond, that ultimately can't withstand the hatred and the mistrust that the war and Narcissa's choices have brought upon them.

And then the war is over.

Narcissa and Lucius manage to escape any time in azkaban. Alice and Frank can finally settle and mourn their loved ones. All four of them can look at these beautiful young boys in their arms and hope with all their might that their lives will be easier.

(It’s unclear when the attack on the Longbottoms happened. We know it happened after the war, and we know it happened when people had just begun feeling safe again. We know there was enough time for Crouch sr to start greying by the time the Lestranges were put on trial.)

But that wrecks Narcissa.

I wanna say that Alice and Narcissa stopped actively seeing each other when the war ended. Alice doesn't want to have an affair when she is genuinely happily married and she has a son. Maybe she's trying for a second child.

But Narcissa’s best friends in the world. The family I tend to describe as "what the Potters and James were to Sirius, the Lestranges and Rodolphus were to Narcissa". And her sister. Two of whom knew just how fucking important Alice Fortescue was to Narcissa, once upon a time.

I genuinely don't think Narcissa believed it, when the Lestranges were first accused of that crime. I don't think she wanted to believe them capable of it. And when it turned out to be true.... I have so many thoughts about that connection I could fill another and longer post. But it wrecks her.

Narcissa only visits Alice once.

It's under the guise of "seeing what her sister has done, to put it behind her". Augusta Longbottom is there, in absolute pieces because her only son is gone. Neville is there, Draco's age. Alice doesn't recognise her. Narcissa thinks it might be better that way.

Narcissa just really doesn't belong there. And she doesn't belong there because of her own choices, her own mistakes. And I think that realisation breaks her even further.

Only one of them remembere what they used to be, and Narcissa selfishly wishes that it wasn't her.

Okay and this is getting long so. The rest is just little moments of pain. Draco writing home about how stupid this Longbottom kid is? The absolute guilt of knowing her darling boy is bullying the son of the woman Narcissa loved most? Post war, when maybe Neville is old enough to want to know more about Alice and find out that there aren’t many people alive who remember Alice when she was young. But Narcissa does.

And don't even get me started on the Lestranges escaping Azkaban. That's agony right there. I have no time. But also I have SO many thoughts and all of them heard more than the other so one day I'll inflict them on others.

but like god. god. there is something so appealing to me about this idea of them as star-crossed siblings. it’s the spn fan in me, it makes me insane. what if you grew up next to this boy, your worlds revolve round each other, and then as adults, you can never be that close again, you won’t even call each other siblings anymore. just childhood friends. someone you once thought you knew.

i have not seen Planet of Fire (classic who? i’m assuming. and im now very excited for that episode specifically for um. normal reasons.) but Something about the master being the one to bring it up, to call on a brother’s mercy…… thinks about last of the time lords with canon siblings doctor & master. because something i’ve picked up watching doctor who is just how Certain the doctor is that the master will survive, despite all odds, that he’ll find a way back. (something the master has always proven him right about.) and that’s such a powerfully resonant feeling with having a sibling. imagining a world without them is like imagining a world without air, in my eyes, so of course, if we put the master in the role of the doctor’s brother in this scenario, of course he will survive. wah the way it just slightly changes the framing of all the little things, the way this scenario takes the master’s childish “i win” and twists it as old as a sibling rivalry…

im such a sucker for sibling tragedy, i really am. i know im also the haha incest guy, which can be a component of the tragedy, but i really do fall to pieces for just the pure platonic stuff, too. it’s unreplicable, the intensity of that pain. and then. okay, every time i speculate on timeless child stuff, i preface it with me not having seen it just Knowing the basics and making shit up according to the lore ive gathered BUT. but. if ever there was a storyline that would have benefitted from them being siblings over them being childhood friends turned rivals, i really think it would be that one. because it digs into the core of it, of the lie, the unknown rift between them that drives the master to ruin. and god something about them being adopted siblings (without their knowledge) but the doctor still being stitched deep down into the Master’s bones, the core of them wrapped around the Doctor’s existence. the way it both matters so fucking much that this is the lie their bond is based on, but also how can it matter. how can it matter. when she’s in his blood anyway, she would have been if they’d been born together or like this. (and that he isn’t. or maybe, more accurately, that he thinks he isn’t and never will be.

oh, my soul for a version of this show where the master has been calling the doctor brother/sister/sibling all this time without the doctor reciprocating except very rarely, when they’re at their most emotionally vulnerable together (like the end of time ‘stone cold brilliant’ monologue. sorry. getting distracted.) and then suddenly. the master stops calling her that. like come on, that would be such fucked up foreshadowing, i can’t be the only one who thinks that would work so well. it’s all about the framing, all about the very slightly different context that friends versus siblings gives them to flavor the tragedy. the endpoint may be the same, but the pain is different, does that make sense?

and. and also i think it would be hot if they were. so. you know. there’s that. i’m not going to deny that i’m Like That. im a freak who enjoys when familial obsession spirals beyond control and into a horrible, outcast kind of love. they’re renegade time lords, for fuck’s sake, let them do a little incest for funsies. 🤭 drop a story of them at the academy always being a little too close, always making everyone else uncomfortable because of how inseparable they were. 🤭🤭 let the doctor avoid bringing up how they’re related so they don’t have to explain this shameful thing to their companions only for the master to flaunt it because the doctor wishes they could forget it, stop feeling these things, stop wanting the master. 🤭🥴🤭🥴🤭

to be clear, this is. obviously not something id actually want on the show, or would ever be on there, they’re not gonna put time travel incest on disney+. Tweek and Craig actually DOESN'T love eachother (Theory)

Disclaimer:

I don't hate Creek, i do it because i have some things to say about this ship with stuff i saw in the show while i analised them. And this is just a theory so you don't have to take the whole post seriusly because i dont saying that that is canon even it looks like it is. And this theory is exclusively about the show, not focused in the fandom. Enjoy!

1- Tweek and Craig episode retrospective

All of us know that this ship became canon. But at the beginging, they weren't a couple yet, they were angry, because the asian girls were very obcessed with them that they shipped them and that obseccion gone to the South Park townsfolks. And they were affected and uncomfortable by the massive attention they received from people, and they even told that problem to the PC Principal to solve it, but he instead told them something about have consensed sex, nothing related to their actual issues (Not even their parents tried to avoid the harassment).

But since in that same episode that issue affected them so hard to the point of not getting back together, faking a breakup so that no one would say anything about them, but anyway it got worse because people thought that Craig was mean for doing that to Tweek. And even they fighted in school in front of many people for the frustration that it caused to them and how they screwed it up.

They also had too much issues for doing that, especially Craig, who has the idea to fake a break up, and then they threw shit at them for not being the perfect couple that the whole town idealized and wanted to have, and therefore, to stop them from throwing shit at Tweek and Craig, they got back together so the people leave them alone comfirming their toughts (social pressure). But they only looked happy being toghether because South Park people are watching them and they wanted them to be happy or maybe because they are getting used for it even if they arent interesed in that.

2-First interactions

If they were actually interesed on each other, they were a couple much before that episode, but they didnt it even when their first appearence where in the seasons 2 and 3. In fact, in their first interaction, they even arent friends. And they met each other when the boys incited them to had a fight in school, and they fought and ended in the hospital at the end. And after that episode, their only apparences toghether were just a few cameos, and in most of the scenes it shows that Tweek and Craig arent toghether. And it was in many many seasons ago before season 19 when the ship becames canon.

Even relationships like Stendy and Clybe had a quick development since their first seasons because they had know much better and had a much closer relationships since they know eachother, even a rivalty like Cartman and Kyle duo had many aparences cuz they knew each other before and were very closer so it can work since the first South Park episode. Tweek and Craig relationship didnt work at the starting cuz they havent met and they weren't closer to have a relationship. So the consequences are that they were tricked by the other boys into thinking that they knew Craig and Tweek well because they claimed things about them that weren't true and the other believed it, creating a wrong view of them when they didn't know each other and creating a rivalry based on lies that they believed. And that's not how a strong relationship can be built.

3-Next interactions

A few moments after they had toghether in screen in a very few episodes episodes or games. But since season 22 are much more separated from themselves than you would expect from a ship as beloved as this, and even in cameos, as in Not Suitable for Children (Tweek with Cartman's affinity group without Craig), Cupid Ye (Craig was sitting in music class with Scott Malkinson instead Tweek), in Pijama Day (Creig doesnt sit with Tweek in the class), in Let them Eat Goo (In any cameo, Craig isnt with Tweek), In The Scoots (Craig isnt with Tweek in any cameo, neither in the scen when the kids show their costumes in the classroom), in a Nightmare on Facetime (Creig gone to the costume party without Tweek, he was with Butters instead) and more. Their last aparicion were in Post Covid, but they even dont hold their hands, they were just like incidental characters like they were just friends.... But let's explain something, in season 21 there were some interactions between them as a couple, but only were incidental moments, and most of the time they did it when they were in public and if they did it on their homes, is when their families are there. And in most of their interactions they werent too happy when teire together like Wendy and Stan, Bebe and Clyde, Gay Al and Mr Slave, and Mr Garrison and his boyfriend since season 25. And the few current moments that theire together since season 22 are just cameos, a few.

In Put it Down episode, Tweek was scared when he tought that the koreans would nuke South Park and when he was scared, Craig tried to comfort him many times, but it didnt work at the point of being angry because Tweek didnt have patience with him and he didnt let Craig to help him even when they were boyfriends and boyfriends help themselves, he bought spinners to him, he suggested him to make cupcakes, but he still didnt let him to confort him and Tweek was angry because he tought that Craig didnt help him. And the last time Craig did it, it worked, and they were satisfied of theyselves, but it doesnt mean that all the prosses of it made Craig to get more tired, and he was happy because at least his comfort worked at the end and Tweek was happy because he noticed that koreans wont nuke South Park or something. And they sang in front of the school at the end.

And in Fractured But Whole, game that was released during the season 21, Tweek and Craig break up because Tweek were becoming annoyng because of his anxiety and for that Craig were more centred in his guinea pig pet, and the new kid's quest was bring them toghether again until they arent think so. If they really wanted to stay toghether again, they would made it for themselves. In real life bring a couple toghether never would work because the couple had marked by the hate so much that they had their reasons for why they broke up, and some words never would work because they had their own reasons of why they broke up, they thought in the reasons, and they tought if they can break up or not. Like Heidi with Cartman, we know why they broke up and she tought in that since she noticed that she was turning into a second Cartman, the issues that turned her into that, and why Cartman did that, and even Kyle tried to do separate her from Cartman, she didnt acept it because Kyle only talked about she has to break up with Cartman, and he involuntary forced her to stay with him, but she wasnt clear about her relationship with Cartman. And you can convince people because they tought too much for their convictions and had the stupp for having it strong like other people, and they only change when they think again, but is really dificult, and imposible during a break up. And i want to mention that in Tweeks last aparitions he's chill and calm, even without Craig, like in Not Suitable for Children, and in other moments and cameos.

4-The theory

All the stuff i put there are my proof and arguments that support my theory and so you can clearly know why i think so. My theory is that Tweek and Craig doesnt love eachother as a couple, because all the romantic stuff when they are the main characters, are full of conflicts ans issues between them when they are toghether. I know that couples have issues and conflicts between them, but couples havent that troubles all the time, neither Cartman and Heidi started like that. And that stuff is because Tweek and Craig were umcomforted as a couple and they want to be watched as friends or maybe classmates, and that comfort has shown since the starting of the "Tweek and Craig" episode when the ship becames canon.

They were uncomfort when they were shown as a romantic couple, they wanted to act for not being watched as a couple more, and they asked for help fot that, but nobody wanted to see the real problem inside that because they were more focused on their silly fantasies instead of the feelings of them about that and the unconfort of being indicated for being the boyfriend of someone and how it feels being pointed in front of everyone and being stalked and harrased for being that. And about when they were really unconforted about people telling other people that they were a couple and people telling to them that they love eachother, and when they tried to show all the people that they arent the couple that they fantasized and idealized, the people get pissed of because they didnt want to fulfill their fantasies and toughts about them being a couple, and they became together because they wanted people to stop harassing them and wanting them to confirm their toughts.

And in next episodes and moments, thay acted like a couple because they know that people still happy for having them together and they still interesed in them, and they did things like putting names eachother and hanging out together in front of people so they dont get upset if they arent acting like a couple, and in Fractured But Whole they break up, but new kid's mission were bringing them together because some people in South Park were sad or upsetd about they being separated, even some of the fans out of the game were like that, but still with the hope that they would together again. But when they noticed that people are stopping to get interesed in them, they took advatage in that so they can be free and do wathever they want without being judged or being forced to stay togheter again and proof that they arent toghether now are the moments i shown like Cupid Ye and Not Suitable for Children, and other media thet i mentionated in the third part. And in the few cameos are together because are just friends or by chance, like the cameos when Cartman is sitting with Butters in the classroom or in the cafeteria altroug not being a canon couple. And in Post Covid, they were together because after so long without seeing each other, they came together to commemorate their past moments and remember each other again, like a reunion of friends.

Well.. I did not actually expect this to become the common opinion the last time I used this ask meme, but things have changed within past half a year, you know? Now, that Micolash and Laurence being academic rivals, featuring inherent homoerotism within it, is a common thing I CAN SAY THAT fandom is right and should say it dfsjhhfhsd

Now I am just waiting dynamic to transcend the ship and include Rom and Caryll for Choir and Byrgenwerth stand-ins (which is which doesn't matter, either works), so the rivalry takes true MULTI-TRACK DRIFTING and does this:

15) that one (cool) thing you see in fanart all the time

Okay, bonk me on the head very hard if I've already brought it up once, but I kinda love 'foreshadowing' in fanart? For example, Rom featuring flovery accessories in her hair or playing with spiders long before meeting her fate, Adeline picking flowers or liking sea life long before Research Hall, Micolash or Bloody Crow playing with actual corvids as kids... all that! Part of me questions the concept sometimes: is not it more impactful, from story standpoint, if the characters got 'taken into' something that absolutely didn't fit them, changing forever...

But then, at the same time, there is equally sinister vibe, or even irony to it, if someone was introduced to the concepts associated with their darker path early, like if their life path was already marked! ..or maybe I am overthinking what is just a fun think visually again. x) In either case, I like it when people do This Thing. I can understand why so many people like to put Gehrman, Laurence, Ludwig and Maria into a group of four! There are other relevant characters like Logarius (from Church's side) or Djura and Gratia (from Old Hunters' side), or like how my friend @fantomette22 adds Caryll as the fifth person, but like... again, they just work together! The four is a good number before it becomes hard to keep track of characters, but also they are all distinct enough! Ludwig is energetic and often is the brightest part of the team, Laurence is the leader with great ego and ambitions, and Gehrman and Maria interchange roles of 'the depressed friend' and 'the cool badass friend'!

Alright, I think for this time I'll pick the fact that Yamamura has seen some real shit and his story. He really IS an odd one out of the League, reciting a Healing Church's motivational prayer as the one thing to still keep him sane, as it is stated that League's "mission" was what drove him insane as he stared into human dregs AND he is a summon in Yahar'gul, Research Hall AND is jailed in the prison for people that learned too many Church's secrets, AND there is a Yahar'gul hunter jailed too (so he helped him to escape Yahar'gul?), AND Valtr does curse "mad doctors" as well.. I already mentioned my headcanons about what went down, but is not it interesting detail that after everything he's learned, he is latching onto what Ludwig was saying? A simpler explanation, coping with the idea of "holiness", even if illusory, was a good distraction from the horrors of human nature. A more complex explanation.......

Not to vague post, and this is especially not anything against the person who brought this to my mind, but I feel the need to make sure people know this since I post a LOT about how I like Sonadow and don't wanna attract the wrong crowds-

I'm NOT okay with Sonadow depictions that are abusive. I'm not okay with ANY abusive ships being seen as cute or romantic. That's a huge thing for me, and it's super triggering to see people romanticize abuse and shit.

HOWEVER. I do not view the rivalry aspect to them as inherently "abusive" so long as it's depicted in a way that's like. Mutual. They enjoy it. They enjoy competing and battling and shit. Because I totally love that idea for them, and even think it's a tad odd when they're shown as /only/ being super affectionate, since their rivalry is sort of intrinsic to their relationship. They're basically perfect for competing with one another, and I've even shown in my Razor AU that I tend to go with the idea that, similarly to the cosmic rule of Sonic and Tails being brothers, Sonic and Shadow are like. Destined to be rivals. Literally star-crossed rivals. They are somewhat of equals in their abilities, they can learn one anothers' powers too, and they both have weird natural Chaos energy. They bounce off one another perfectly emotionally and competitively. THAT'S a huge part to their relationship! (I have no actual problems with the more affectionate depictions of them, I just generally like to show their competitions AS their affection at times. Their fights are like dances. I think that's a wonderfully interesting concept for a ship!)

I will say that their dynamic is very much one of those "it works in fiction, but it wouldn't work super well in reality". Like, their traits are too extreme for reality by default, and their dynamic would, in the real world, simply not work out well since they'd be humans and deal with Human Issues. The fact of the matter is that there are things that CAN BE FINE IN FICTION, but not in reality (do NOT spin this to mean i'm okay with actual proshipper-type shit. That's NOT what im talking about. What i'm talking about is more like.... Like, pairings that would be unstable irl due to lack of environmental control and how human psychology works but can work in fiction because of expanded possibilities that already exist in fiction, such as characters who are assassins but aren't immediately bad guys and shit).

Which is kinda why I got so shocked by some of the tags on AO3 Sonadow fics, because I sorta neglected to consider that there are people who DO depict it as abusive.

Another note is that I like to stick to an older canon for Shadow, but I often like to use details from more modern media for him. Which is probably why I don't see their rivalry and the possibilities for them to have a relationship more than just friends (whether it be qpr or romantic, i dont really care since i'm an enjoyer of both) as really bad. Because I don't really consider the more recent times where they've battled and Shadow's been more "nasty" to him as how I base things on (excluding the Twitter Takeovers since those go off-script and Kirk does his damn best to make Shadow actually more like who he truly is there, so I see those as positive depictions of their banter).

Maybe this post wasn't needed, maybe it could've been assumed by how I talk about them, however it was weighing on my mind to make sure people understand how I feel about this whole topic, because I do need to recognize that there ARE very problematic and gross depictions of the ship and I do NOT support them. So when I reblog art of the guys fighting and shit, just do know that this is how I tend to view it, I'm not at all trying to seem like I'm romanticizing abusive behaviors or anything, I just like the different ways they could be interpreted as rivals and/or as partners

unfortunately i was knocked out on just half of a pill 😩 and paragliding was super super cool + not scary at all but i DID throw up into a little plastic baggie like 5 or 6 times and was nauseous/dizzy soooo would not repeat that experience 😓 but honestly i’m still glad i did it because it was so fun besides the vomiting and such a unique experience!! truly felt like a little bird hahaha…apparently nausea and motion sickness are a symptom of my birth control so once i’m back home i’m going to call the doctor and see if they have any tips!! for now we must endure i suppose 😔

Background/story

Had bad/abusive/neglectful parents and got sent into foster care when he was very little

He doesn’t remember his bio parents (just that he looked liked his mom, but smiled like his dad)

Has a bio sister (younger) that he doesn’t know about because she was born after he went into foster care

Hunter is his big brother best friend forever and he will bite anyone who says otherwise

He is a biter (as most younger siblings are)

Will also bite Hunter but hasn’t since they were kids

Is just as protective of Hunter as Hunter is of him

Gets very scared when Hunter gets hurt (which is rare)

Freaked the fuck out when Hunter attacked him while brainwashed

He’s never had to fight his brother like that and he hopes he never has to again

Is so relieved when he knocks out of it

They don’t fight a lot, so when they do it’s kind of a big deal

Are quick to make up though, they’re just a bit hotheaded

Tori is his unapologetic favorite

He was not expecting to find the enemy attractive but uh, Tori’s a pretty lady

Talked to her whenever she was at the track or they were at Storm Chargers

Blake: I’m just getting closer so we can execute our plan, Hunter: Sure dude. Whatever you say.

Gets teased for his flirting a lot

Trusts Tori like no other, which is a little scary, but he’s always had Hunter at his back so if he falls, he’ll be fine

Unlike Shane’s and Hunter’s rivalry as reds, Tori and Blake share a special connections as blues

While both able to keep their team level-headed and focused, they are also just as likely to jump on stupid shit (Blake because he thinks it’s fun/ny and Tori because someone challenged her)

Blake’s more chill tho

He really, really, really likes Tori

Dustin is cool in his eyes

Dustin makes his brother happy so he’s a good egg

Found him either annoyingly stupid or annoyingly competent (usually one right after the other) at first and was kind of confused about his whole thing

But he’s actually pretty chill after he gets to know him

He’s also pretty funny, Blake ain’t gonna lie

They bond over motocross and are healthily competitive

Also didn’t like Shane, but not nearly as much as Hunter

Thinks their rivalry is stupid and tends to stand clear whenever they go at it (he shares popcorn with Dustin)

Shane is actually really cool, it turns out

Another brother from another mother

They bond over their parents and shit talk Shane’s dad (and maybe his brother but shh)

Blake finds himself trusting in Shane like he would Hunter, which is weird because he’s never really had anyone else but Hunter

But a good weird

He and Cam bond over being the youngest/littlest (Blake is the actual youngest, but he and Cam are both treated like it)

Thinks Cam is badass and asks for a lot of ninja (and later samurai) tips, much to the surprise and mild delight of Cam

He likes working with Cam to come up with new weapon and zord ideas (Dustin sits in with them and adds to the conversation now and again) (it’s bro time)

Gets how annoying the overprotectiveness is and they work together to prank and tease the others

Personality/headcanons/arcs

The chillest of the team (tied with Dustin, technically)

Much more clever and conniving than Hunter

He came up with most of the plan while Hunter set the pieces into motion

Feels really bad about tricking Tori, but both he and Hunter are going to see it through

Well, they were before the whole cave thing

Speaking of which CANON DIVERGENCE

They do make it to the cave and are about to use the crystal to break sensei’s bubble, but then the rangers drop in and they tussle and then Lothor pops in and tells them to destroy the bubble so he can destroy their sensei like he (Lothor) did their parents

Blake and Hunter: ...You mean like he did our parents. Lothor, sweating buckets: That’s what I said. Blake and Hunter: No, it wasn’t. Sensei: I didn’t kill anyone. Lothor: Shut up, this doesn’t concern you! Blake and Hunter: Did you kill our parents? Lothor: Does it matter? We’re so close to fulfilling our agreement, are you going to back out now because of a little technicality? Dustin shouting from the background: That seems like a pretty big technicality to me!

They still use the crystal to block Lothor’s blast but the explosion of it knocks Hunter out and he has a ~vision~ with his parents and they tell him they love him and Blake and they’re so proud of him and they’ll always be with him and they died helping sensei and now they’ll help carry on that legacy

Tears and crying all around

The boys end up leaving to see if they can find another power source like the crystal to connect with their parents, but they don’t find anything (Hunter still hides that small part of the crystal)

Has so many nightmares about his parent’s death and then of Hunter’s death during the whole brainwashing thing

Blake wants to prove he can fight and protect Hunter too so Hunter doesn’t have to give up anymore of himself protecting Blake

Is very efficient in weaponry (like Shane) even though his main focus was the thunder staff

His first weapon to learn outside of his thunder staff was that double-sided blade

Omino’s daughter taught him how to use it and was the one to give him the advice about “not letting you anger get the best of you”

They got close but she moved away because her dad is ~toxic~ and feels bad for leaving the boys behind, especially when the academy gets attacked

She’s technically no longer a ninja which is why she wasn’t zapped up to space

If Hunter is the thunder, then Blake is the lightning

Fast, silent, and deadly

He has more fine control like Tori

Can’t control the weather since he’s not quite as big, overwhelming, anger/feelings, but he is magnetic

Him and Hunter are wary of water because of their powers and tend to stay on the sand when they visit the beach

Still a powerhouse tho and can absolutely wreck your shit

His and Hunter’s eyes do that electricity eye glowing thing when they go into overdrive or are really mad

He can beatbox to Hunter’s rapping

Hangs with Dustin since he’s always with Hunter, but Hunter also hangs with Tori a lot since she’s always with him sooo

Very happy to have found his people

Goes into pro racing after the show

He and Dustin compete against each other a lot

Hunter is often there to support them both along with Tori, Shane and Cam

I mean just look at that guy hes so genderfluid and going oh what if i saiddd she/he Donnie but while Donnies thing is just like she doesn't care shes not transfem shes just, well, Donnie. Unfortunatly Benzedrine's the token cis guy until I maybe change my mind. Anyway I've been thinking about hitting H Shoe(is it Horseshoe or H Shoe is there a difference or is H Shoe just like shortened? I mean the canon is the last thing about any of this but what actually is it because I've seen it every way is there a right way?) Crab with the transfeminator because. Why not. Plus look at her. Also Crab and Jet Star would so be transfem partners in crime.

Okay I'm just gonna dump all the Crab things I've come up with while fleshing out my suitehearts stuff. So I think he'd be the only suiteheart that doesn't mind the fab four and that the fab four don't mind bc the crews totally have a weird rivalry all the suitehearts hate the four except for sandman but thats sandman. And also Crab bc hes just like cool like that. And the fab four all hate the suitehearts except for Crab bc again. He's cool like that. Like they respect him more where they dont the others and Benze especially. Again sandmans kinda an outlier tho the fab four dont hate him they just all think hes fucking annoying. Except for ghoul and kobra but thats ghoul and kobra. But like benz and party? At eachothers throats all day every day and not in a cool sexy way. But they all like crab and i think crab and jet would be best friends i think party would be like jealous of that but theyd like crab anyway cause hes just a cool zonerunner with a sweet face and you cant stay pissy at that. Kobra probably wouldnt care for him that much but he wouldnt mind him either and then ghoul would be like lowkey obsessed with him in like an annoying little brother that NEEDS to prank him kind of way but crab lives with sandman and is literally. Untouchable by mischief. Ghoul tries to prank him and Crab somehow Knows and always turns the situation around and Ghoul's just the one that ends up getting pranked instead or hes caught in his own boobytrap. Its bc ghoul and sandman are the same flavor of little shit.

Anyway. Horseshoe Crab fuckinggg. That guard dog post i think you know the one. Hes the loyalest fucker ever to Benze especially, I'm still deciding what like suitehearts ship to put for background shit in my funsandkid frankenghoul thing oh man whatd i title it. Um. Haunted and Holy. Yeah. Like. Benzecrab... but also with the way benze is characterized in that and what i have planned for like crab and ghouls interactions idk if itd work in it. Still tempted to try it though. But like Benzecrab or should have there be something between Crab and Donnie hhhfhh i cant decide. But yeah Crabs so fucking loyal to his friends especially Benze, in Haunted and holy not so much because benze going crazy and making a person and not treating him like a person is like. Not trustworthy behavior. But until that happens and in anything else. Super loyal especially for benze. And totally a big brother to Sandman like after meeting him was like okay this guys my dude now and claimed him as like a little brother so hes also fiercely loyal for them but more like protective rather than like. For benze hes loyal in that guard dog way where he has such extreme loyalty its become devotion and he'll obey his every command way, while for sandman hes loyal in protective older sibling way and like not guard dog but rather stray dog that sandman fed one too many times and so now hes claimed him and will protect him with his life but won't stop doing so if it commands him to. Protection out of chosen love not earned loyalty. If all that makes sense. And I kinda really want to write what would happen if there was a divide in the suitehearts and Crab had to choose between those things like if he had to choose to take the side of the guy hes devoted to and maybe loves if its benzecrab or the side of his little fucking brother even if theyre not related by blood it would be so sadistic of me to him and myself writing to make him choose between the guy he saved and pulled off the streets and who was his first crewmate versus the guy that saved him and kept him alive and actually made their crew. His leader thats earned his loyalty and respect versus the guy who was family to him before he ever met Benzedrine. But both equally loved by him in their ways. Imagine if he had to choose between them hehhehehege supervillian cackle.

I feel bad for not mentioning Donnie as much in this but i think crab and donnie wouldn't have as strong of a connection like they're best friends and crew theyd kill for eachother like anyone yes but i think theres not as strong as an emotional connection there as there is with sandman or Benzedrine because i feel like theyd both kind of be like. the underdogs of the suitehearts? Like they both have their own thing going on sometimes with crab being a zonerunner and donnie being a busy mechanic and not having met donnie until later like benze they wouldnt have bonded as much and i also hc Donnie as like distant? Like eventually thatd change but i think it takes Donnie like years to fully come around to them all. By then crab and her could be super close but i just dont think donnie would hold as big a candle compared to benze or sandman in crabs mind in the theoretical suitehearts split thing. Anyway can you tell I'm normal about them.
