So, what are your thoughts on the "omg what if MK breaks the staff" of the MK vs SWK predictions?
So, admittedly I have never thought about this or heard of this. But now that the idea's been presented to me...
I kinda love it.
Post s3 I was expecting the staff to have a little bit more of a negative connotation moving forward (since MK tends to use it as a crutch/feels he needs it in seasons 1-3). In 4x08 we get MK saying "It's always my fault! Ever since I picked up Monkey King's staff I-" echoing Tangs words in 3x13 "MK, from the moment you picked up the Monkey King's staff, their stories became our stories. It's our responsibility to write the final chapter, no matter the outcome." and LBD's words in 3x14 "You're right MK. If you had never found that staff none of this would have been possible. A delivery boy to the end."
But, other than that—even despite the fact MK had assumed his powers came from the staff and he felt "incomplete without it"—in s4 MK returns to using the staff like normal.
Now, in s4 we also see Wukong using the staff more than we ever had before. In 4x07 he grabs the staff to attack the curse, and in the s4 special MK both gifts back Monkey King the staff (a moment I will never get over) and MK/SWK trade off using the staff against Azure. Whereas Wukong had given the staff to MK in AHIB, it seems now they have a sort of dual ownership over it. Which, I'm super excited to see how that plays out moving forward—but I also wonder if they're saving MK's eventual departure from the staff for later. One thing that I always notice watching s4 is the fact that while MK's in Monkey Form, he never uses the staff to attack. He only uses himself as a weapon ("You don't use a weapon, you are a weapon!" anyone?) so I think it's definitely going a "MK is going to no longer need/use the staff" direction.
And now, if the writers were to force this to happen by having MK break it during his fight with Wukong...that would be super interesting. I would quite possibly lose my whole entire shit, and I don't have many of those to spare.

I think a lot about Leo standing up for his brothers in the things that really matter to them.
Like- Leo is the one who immediately pushes Mikey and Donnie into finding Raph the second it’s clear that their oldest brother is missing because he knows Raph can’t handle being separated like that.
Leo is the one who stands up for Mikey when Mikey wants to go on a solo mission, actively vouching for him and being the one to convince Raph into letting Mikey go, because being independent and proving himself just as capable of standing on his own two feet as everyone else means so much to Mikey.
And Leo defends Donnie’s honor in particular when his brothers’ intelligence is insulted because Leo is well aware of how important Donnie’s smarts are to him - and how important having those smarts valued and acknowledged is as well.
All this goes right into just how well Leo knows his brothers. For as much as he’ll tease or fight with them, he knows them, and he loves them.

We're really overlooking the potential of a Karen Wilson (genius rocket scientist and apocalyptic doomsayer wife) and Tommy Kinard (nerd about everything mechanical and the cynical black cat boyfriend) friendship.

sometimes I think of all the on-the-surface warm, well-meaning but deeply ineffectual advice and attention john gives harrow through harrow the ninth (make some soup and get some sleep! get a hobby! don't be so hard on yourself! self care harrow! as long as I need take no actual responsibility in this relationship whatsoever I would have loved to be your dad!) set up against the stark truth that with his other hand he has been staging her attempted horrific murder again and again and again like a living nightmare on the logic that it will 'put her down or fix her'. and then I find that I wish there is a hell. a special hell where twitch streamers turned necromantic death emperors go

Question ...if fairies rely on desire to feed, would Dev be a GOOD food source or a terrible food source? Does desire come from wishing or wanting more, essentially. Because dev like.. Has all he can want except his dad's approval ,so how does that work?
Fairies' food comes from the innate emotion a person has while Wishes are just the only way Fairies can pull the emotions (food) out!!!
The more the desire is out of reach, the more delicious it is, and the longer the fairy can go without needing another meal. It's simply easier to harvest from children because they have big emotions, and weak minds and impulses. A child can say "I wish" more openly than an adult does, making it easier for Fairies to cultivate.
Dev's one of the best food sources there is. In fact, he's able to feed a family of 5 for at least 8 months! However, he's also one of the worse sources to collect from because his desire is noncollectable by magic.
Which means you'll need an expert high-class, high-ranking Fairy Godparent who can siphon out his Desires into smaller parts via multiple smaller wishes!

So it's like, Eddie comes back and now he's like really affectionate to Steve in a way he wasn't before. Except it's not Eddie, it's Kas trying to pretend to be Eddie. Kas doesn't have Eddie's memories, just echos of feelings towards people and apparently Eddie had Super Strong Feelings towards Steve. So strong Kas thinks "They must have been lovers. If I play in love with the man with the nailbat, they will surely Believe I Am Eddie and I can help Vecna defeat them from within" and that is NOT the case.
Queue shenanigans as everyone tries to figure what who the hell is in their friend's body while trying to pretend they don't suspect a thing. Because the sudden affection for Steve is just the piece that tips the scale, because there's been an awful lot of things not adding up since Eddie returned. Like Eddie eating veggies happily while Wayne stares at him, suspicious and confused, or when Will asked about DnD and 'Eddie' was like what the fuck is that and Will's like... Dungeons and Dragons? The others said you were just as obsessed as us with it?? and Kas!Eddie has to be like "*nervous laughter* hahaha I jest I love the Dungeons and the Dragons". Etc.
And then poor steve is left to deal with this affection he wanted so bad before but doesn't want now because he didn't want Eddie for his body (even if it is a really nice body) but he liked all the things about Eddie that no longer seem to exist. He's not loud, he's not outspoken and wild, he doesn't care for music anymore, didn't even know what dnd was! Everything that made Eddie Eddie is gone and Steve doesn't know how to feel about finally getting what he wanted (Eddie's affection) but it's not the Eddie Steve fell in love with. But Steve's supposed to be distracting the imposter while the others work out a plan.
