Is she Lucy Westenra, or is she just a vessel for the writer's barely disguised fantasy of a women being punished for her promiscuity? Is she really"Bram Stoker's" Lucy Westenra: a naive, innocent 19 year old, with a cheery personality and a bright future ahead of her? Or has the writer instead just slapped her name on an OC that behaves nothing like her, and- with none of the grace or decorum that Lucy's tragically short story deserves- sexualized her slow and agonising death as much as possible, whilst very unsubtly doing their best to blame her for being murdered, so that we won't object to her being killed again later in an even more gruesome and sexual manner?

Random talk about Lucy Maclean. Am I the only one realized that Lucy has started to know about anger and hatred since she met up Cooper? Because when she saved Maximus from the Radroach, she's squeezed the Radroach so much until she yelled in grunts and yeah I can see her that she's really show off her anger when squeezed that Radroach with her foot.

Also at the end when soon she realized that her father was not a good person for the whole time. When Cooper ask her to join for an adventure. Looks like Cooper just opened her eyes for seeing a reality and I have a feeling that he will guide her what is the meaning of life, that the world is not kind to everyone.

Lucy might got taught about kindness and feelings from her father, but Cooper might teach her how to control her mental. Since Cooper use to be a kind person back at that time but then his life ended up in misery, I have a feeling that Lucy will guide him to open up his tortured heart and fix it.

It's like I think the 2nd season of Fallout will tell about how Lucy and Cooper guided each other with their own different ways.

Going fucking feral over the little corset vest they gave Coriolanus in Songsbirds and Snakes. Like yes please, lets directly compare our pro and antagonist, both wearing their dead parents clothing on the most important day of their lives.

Lucy Gray in her beloved Mother's dress. The outfit she choose- colorful, joyful, a standout in the crowd. Her corset like her Mother's hug, wrapping her in love and holding her upright.

Coriolanus Snow in his Father's old formal military dress shirt (And probably his vest? It's a movie addition). The outfit he was forced into- somber, black like his Father's eyes, choosen not to stand out in the crowd but to sweep under the radar. The tesserae buttons- poverty and disgrace, now sewn directly to the grand Snow lineage. The corset vest, wrapping the expectation of the Snow family history around him like a snake, suffocating with every breath.

And they're both wearing roses.

I think it's important that Lucy Gray can have a conversation like this, where they talk over their kills so matter-of-factly. She's a survivor and a victor. She sees the line between good and evil and tries to stay on the right side of it, but she's not inherently gentle and pure. She's a fighter. She lives in the 'gray,' not black and white. And I think the thing is they're both pretty gray for most of the story? Until he crosses that line away from her at the end. They're perfectly positioned in so many ways to understand each other, which makes the tragedy hit better. There has to be a real chance, and real feelings, for the tragedy to be powerful IMO.

Loving Coriolanus really requires me to have Lucy Gray as a package deal. He is insufferable without her balancing him out.
