Anger had become one and the same with Jason ever since his return to life. It burned like a raging fire in his chest at every turn. Burning and burning with nothing and everything to fuel it.

Anyone who crossed him would feel his anger. But it rarely became more than that. He rarely crossed that threshold between anger and rage, fury, wrath.

But he did.

Every once in a while, he crossed that line.

Everyone who knew him knew he would do anything for his family. So, when he heard what Dick had suffered at Deathstroke's hand, he crossed that line. Slade deserved everything that was coming for him. Deserved the fury of a thousand demons that came after him in the form of a red helmet-wearing Jason Todd.

When he saw Tim stumble and fall mid-battle and not get up, he crossed that line. The villains they were fighting stood no chance against the hell he unleashed upon them to reach his brother. Stood no chance against the ensuing pain he rained down on them for hurting Tim.

When he watched Damian's strength falter beneath the strength of a villain much stronger than him, he crossed that line. The blood on his hands was nothing compared to the blood Damian had shed. Nothing compared to what it would be if his brother died.

He would cross that line again and again if it meant keeping his family safe.

If it meant getting revenge on anyone who managed to hurt his family.

Jason would let the world burn if it meant protecting them. Because he had nothing, he was nothing, without his family.

Content- death, angst, deranged Sukuna.

A/n- this is a short story

Sukuna looks down at his lover, her breath shallow, blood pooling from the corners of her mouth, her bittersweet smile, as she tries her best to calm him even in her last moments. “Y/n.” Sukuna says somberly. She tries to speak, blood pooling out, as she finally lets out some words. “I-I know K-kuna.”

His eyes trail down her body, a huge gaping hole in her stomach, horrifyingly gruesome slashes throughout her body, her arm bent in such an unnatural way. “I will avenge you my love. Trust me, I’d let the world burn just for you my love.”

“I know you would, k-kuna.” Her breathing is ragged, skin turning pale, eyes starting to dull, as her pulse starts to slow. “You can’t die on me.” Sukuna spits out brokenly, his heart shattering into pieces.

The only girl that has made him feel true love, the girl he wanted to spend his life with, the only person he’s ever shown his soft side to, is now by his side dying due to villagers, raging villagers, who want him dead, who want him hurt, so they go after his girl.

Y/n’s vision starts to go hazy, as she tries her best to look at Sukuna, memories flashing throughout her mind at such a fast pace, her eyes slightly tear up, as she mutters out a low “I-I love y-you..” her eyes fully turn dull, as her chest now isn’t rising, nothing to indicate that she’s breathing.

Sukuna, is now staring at her not moving, his hands shaking, as he tries to see if she’s breathing and there’s nothing. He picks up her dead body as it’s now slightly cold, he carries her to his throne, laying her down on it in an upright position and pulling a sheeting over her. His face emotionless, his breathing erratic, as he walks outside, heading towards the village.

Villagers see his figure as they try running, they’re all screaming, trying to find safety. He unleashes his complete rath on them having no compassion, heads flying everywhere, as do limbs, dismembered body parts. Everything lying in pools of blood, as he sets fire to everything and everyone. Watching people burn alive, screaming, trying to run to their family members. He doesn’t just stop there, no. He goes to more villages giving them the same treatment. His face deranged of any emotion, but let’s a dark sadistic smirk appear, as he says. “I’ll let the world burn, just for you my love.”
