Man haven’t read the actual 40th anniversary ROTTMNT comic yet but from what I’m hearing it’s going to be HILARIOUS watching every canon-compliant AU desperately trying to add all this in and explaining what siblings X and Y were doing when and where and why

In your Bad End au-of-the-au, the topic of Leo as Prime's Host seems like a bit of a campfire story.
I imagine tellings range from brief mentions of the kappa that the Krang are using to take the planet (does anyone even know what he looks like?) to detailed descriptions of the 'dark deals' some yokai and humans think he's struck with their alien overlords to the more sympathetic ones who think he was just in the wrong place at the time.
Does anyone think Leo was chosen specifically? And does anyone blame Casey Jr for not being able to stop the apocalypse even though he was sent back in time to save the future? (do they know he's a time traveller and do they believe him?)
CAMPFIRE STORIES!!! CAMPFIRE STORIES OH MY GOOODDD!!!!
now I'm just the Resistance 2.0 telling Leo's story as a warning. like. "This is what happens to you when you go up against the Kraang alone"
and the fam wants to smack whoever came up with that story so badly. because, yes, Leo was alone, but by his choosing and because all of them were too in denial to realize that something was wrong with him until it was too late
honestly, I don’t think none of them believe he was chosen, more like; he was either the only willing option, or he was just really unlucky on which Kraang decided to take him
and no. the Resistance 2.0 have no idea that their leader is from the future or that he's a time traveler. and no one from the Hamato Clan blames him, but Casey really wishes they did. at least that would've been easier to understand than them forgiving him

hiiiii i have questions abt the 'leo lets his brothers leave' universe:
is there even any chance of leo like,,,,, EVER forgiving or liek not wanting to kill(?) his brothers for leaving him? do the other three ever think they fucked up by leaving and feel guilty at all, or try to do anything to fix things with leo? (as much as they could ever possibly be fixed lolll) do any of their friends find out what happened? (specifically april or casey?) and do they think the three were kinda fucked up for leaving leo to be abused and manipulated and sa'd by his dad for years?
Great questions!
1. There is definitely a chance for redemption (tho I don’t really like that word) for everyone involved but first leo has to have a massive breakdown. Think azula from atla. It has to be messy and violent and unhinged and probably end with him restrained in some way lol. The road to recovery for this leo will be way tougher. People will say cruel things they can’t take back :p
2. Yes and no. At the point where they leave none of them really know how bad it is for Leo. They still think he’s splinters pampered favorite who never gets hurt as bad as they do. And since he didn’t want to come with them at the time, and they’re small children with a limited worldview, they kind of just assumed that was always the case. They miss him and think about him but they don’t really feel guilty or like they abandoned him until he comes back spitting vitriol. (Though they know from April that he’s become increasingly unpleasant, they chalk it up to his usual Leo Sucks behavior)
And even then they dont feel TOO bad until they figure out what actually happened. idk if Leo would even talk about tho he’s probably convinced that he hasn’t been abused and assumes all his feelings of rage and betrayal are cuz his brothers abandoned him- they might have to do a memory trip about it to get the to the truth. And even then it would be a significantly more brutal experience than the canon Leo memory trip.
3. Their friends don’t blame them cuz they were literally soooo young. Like the oldest was 13. I’m not sure if they meet Casey the same way tho. Raph originally met Casey while healing from his broken arm after their failed attempt to run away. If they’re in the hidden city most of the time I don’t actually think they’d meet Casey until later.
In fact it’s far more likely that Casey meets April and Leo long before he meets any of the rest of them, so he’d probably be sort of on Leo’s side. But since he knows April she’s able to tell him their side too. Casey has experience with splintered (haha) siblings so he gets it and tries not to pick sides, but since Leo’s his friend he’ll be on Leo’s side if he has to choose.
At least until he falls for Leo’s brother with resting bitch face, but then again fist fighting your gay crush is also a fantasy of his so if leo brings him to a brotherly conversation that turns into a brawl he’s not gonna pass it up…
April is solidly on the boys side tho cuz she’s received a lot of abuse from Leo (especially when she refused to tell him where his brothers went) so she gets why they didn’t bring him with. In this timeline he’s kind of a horrible menace. His relationship with April is super strained
Also important to note that while Leo got most of it, they were all abused and manipulated by splinter, and raph was also sexually abused. So like yes it’s terrible but also it’s not like leo has a monopoly on suffering here (though he’d beg to differ)

Do you have an tmnt/uy au you're working on?
YES.
So the gist of it is, is that the UY cast are native to Rise’s distant past—from way back when the Krang first originally invaded.
After successfully sealing away the aliens, Edo-period Japan collectively gets, like, zero seconds of rest before their key explodes—damn I wonder what (ninja turtle family) caused that—and present-day New York’s timeline comes crashing into theirs like a bus.

I've gotcha
I know alligator snapping turtles are massive and I know it wouldn't logically make sense. But I love the idea that Raph just stops growing and Leo, Donnie, and Mikey grow to be as tall if not taller than him

Conservative activist launches $1bn crusade to ‘crush’ liberal America
Leonard Leo was architect of effort to secure conservative supermajority on the Supreme Court

The conservative activist who led the crusade to overhaul the US legal system is making a $1bn push to “crush liberal dominance” across corporate America and in the country’s news and entertainment sectors. In a rare interview, Leonard Leo, the architect of the rightward shift on the Supreme Court under Donald Trump, said his non-profit advocacy group, the Marble Freedom Trust, was ready to confront the private sector in addition to the government. “We need to crush liberal dominance where it’s most insidious, so we’ll direct resources to build talent and capital formation pipelines in the areas of news and entertainment, where leftwing extremism is most evident,” Leo told the Financial Times.

“Expect us to increase support for organisations that call out companies and financial institutions that bend to the woke mind virus spread by regulators and NGOs, so that they have to pay a price for putting extreme leftwing ideology ahead of consumers,” he said. Leo has spent more than two decades at the influential Federalist Society, guiding conservative judges into the federal courts and the Supreme Court itself. In 2018, conservative justice Clarence Thomas joked that Leo was the third most important person in the world. Leo’s efforts culminated under Trump’s presidency, when three Federalist Society-backed judges were appointed to give conservatives on the Supreme Court a 6-3 supermajority, and profound influence over US law. The court has since then ruled to overturn the right to an abortion, among other long-sought rightwing causes. In 2020, after Trump lost the election, Leo stepped back from running the daily operations of the Federalist Society, while remaining its co-chair. The following year, Leo founded Marble, with a $1.6bn donation from electronic device manufacturing mogul Barre Seid, to be a counterweight to what he said was “dark money” of the left. He spent about $600mn in its first three years, according to public financial disclosures. Leo said his goal was to find “very leveraged, impactful ways of reintroducing limited constitutional government and a civil society premised on freedom and personal responsibility and the virtues of western civilisation”. The $1bn money machine is now funding the conservative mission against private institutions, opposing diversity, equity and inclusion policies, climate and social concerns in investing and the “debanking” of politically conservative customers, in addition to taking on the public sector. The non-profit is increasingly interested in launching campaigns against “woke” banks and China-friendly companies involved in everything from food production to autonomous vehicles in the US and potentially Europe. Leo also intends to invest in a US local media company in the next 12 months, although he has not decided which, and is building conservative coalitions through groups such as Teneo Network, a club with chapters across the country. He also confirmed that Marble had since 2021 helped fund organisations that launched campaigns against companies with DEI, ESG and other initiatives, including BlackRock, Vanguard, American Airlines, Coca-Cola, State Farm, Major League Baseball and Ticketmaster. This year, Marble aided a variety of conservative groups in their campaigns against TikTok on the grounds that it was a threat to children and US national security. President Joe Biden signed a bipartisan bill to force TikTok’s Chinese parent company to divest from the video-sharing platform.

Leo’s rise to be among the US’s most powerful conservatives has drawn scrutiny from liberal attorneys and Democratic politicians. Earlier this year, he refused to comply with a subpoena from Senate Democrats investigating undisclosed gifts to Thomas and Justice Samuel Alito revealed by ProPublica. In 2020, Leo joined the for-profit public advocacy firm CRC Advisors. Bloomberg has reported that an array of non-profits have paid CRC at least $69mn since Leo became its co-owner and chair. While Marble funds Trump-aligned advocacy groups, it is not donating money to sway the 2024 presidential election, Leo said. The non-profit is instead helping the Republican effort to end the Democratic majority in the Senate, which confirms judges and justices. “The political environment is more topsy-turvy and more uncertain than it’s ever been in my lifetime,” said Leo. “Political investing is not as good a bet as it used to be.”
