Another year, another Leosagi Valentine Comic, I should make it a yearly tradition 💙💙

Thank you for the ask anon. My first thought was; ‘they’d probably think anything’s perfect as long as they get to spend time together again’, but then I realised; ‘yeah, Leo’s so gonna overthink and overplan their dates though ’, followed by; ‘Usagi’s life is filled with travelling by foot, (often in awful weather) and exhausting in so many ways, he’d probably love to just stay inside and rest with his boyfriend.’

Those are the same guys as in my previous 03 comics, just in their mid 20s and navigating the ups and downs of long distance relationship.

Some ROTTMNT facts you may have not known

There was a canceled episode where Leo, Donnie, and Raph accidentally become babies and Mikey is the big brother (not much more info)

In another canceled episode, Wedding Smashers, you can actually see Uganda Knuckles. Although, that was probably just a place holder being that we only got the animatic.

More about Wedding Smashers, Mikey got a new persona called "Dr. Rude", Raph to now called "Shadybug" undercover, and Ghost Bear getting married to Ghost Pepper. Although, this episode was scrapped almost at the end of development.

Concept art shows how many changes the turtles went through during development:

As you can probably see, Raph originally didn't have a tonfā or sai.

In Clothes Don't Make the Turtle, if you look hard enough you can find many references to other media:

Ah, I just love the Sonic Movies and how Ben Schwartz voices both Leo and Sonic (can't forget uhh, was it Hewey or Dewey?). Wait...

In terms of canon heights, apparently Leo is taller than Donnie. Have I been thinking he's taller the entire time because of his goggles?

There is a total of 80+ Jupiter Jim movies in the show. (What i pray how many movies the cinematic Sonic universe gets)

If the finale of season 2 feels rushed, that's because it is. Producers, animators, etc. had a span of 1 week to finish the four finale episodes.

Season 3 was cancelled due to low income money from their toy line, meaning they cancelled the show completely until the movie, which would supposably be the death of ROTTMNT until officials bring it back (pls do).

More about the third season, we was actually going to get what appears to be the continuation of the final comic, Farewell. Where (SPOILERS!) Splinter dies but he tells his children they have two lost siblings (Ah, I love how I made OCS like Venus and Yanagi-), one of them being Big Mama's Assistant, and the other being currently unknownst to the public if we even got a cameo.

BUT, lucky us we got a panel where we can see BMA's face reveal:

Just assuming, she's probably going to be Jennika unless I'm mistaken. Idk, I'm just judging by the yellow.

She also looks like she could be maybe a painted turtle, or a yellow bellied turtle/slider (oh no I'm thinking about White Castle again...)

"Maybe this is our destiny!" 

"Locked in a cage, held for ransom by the Foot, and NONE OF US GAVE HIM GRANDCHILDREN?? Somehow I feel like he wanted more."

Leo rolls over onto his side. Man. This sucks.

He and his brothers were doing everything right! They were following the "Hamato way,"  and they had hardly messed up at all! How come Draxum was able to just...take them like this? Splinter was going to be so disappointed...

They all suddenly hear the telltale sound of Draxum's roots, and all of them groan in annoyance. I mean, come on, can't a guy let his prisoners wallow in their sorrow after they just captured them? Jeez...

When the roots came into view, they could see that Draxum was on it with some weird device. No idea what it was, but they didn't have a good feeling about it. Draxum doesn't even speak to them as he sees them and instead puts the device up to his eyes. "Hey!" Leo shouts at him. "It's pretty rude to not talk to your prisoners, don't you think?"

Draxum takes the device away from his face and smirks at Leo before opening the cage door and using his vines to grab Leo.

Leo squawks at this and tries to struggle out of the vines hold. His brothers also try to wrestle him out of the vines grip, but Leo gets taken out of the cage regardless. Draxum uses his vines to shut the cage door right in his brothers faces and also uses one to cover Leo's mouth so he can't talk.

Okay, what the hell was he doing?!

Draxum starts leaving still holding Leo with his vines, as the others call after him over and over again, including Donnie saying some specific language that Raph would most definitely scold him on if they weren't in such a dire situation. Raph waits until he can't see Draxum anymore, and then he takes the bars of the cage and pulls until there's a quite sizable opening for them to crawl through.

No one needs to be told what to do as they hop out of the cage and start jumping from cage to cage to get to the surface. 

They're going to save Leo.

It takes them a while, but they soon get to where Draxum is waiting by the dark armor with Leo still trapped in his vines, and Splinter and April. "Purple! Red! Orange!" Just as Raph is about to say something to their father, Draxum speaks instead. "I want something, Lou Jitsu. And I think you know exactly what it is." Raph talks then. "Dad? What does he mean?" Leo still struggles against the vines, and Raph would be lying if he didn't say it hurt him to see Leo struggling so hard.

"I..." Splinter starts. Draxum interrupts him before he can say anything else. "If you do not give it to me, I will not hesitate to kill your son. I may not be able to promise all of them dead, but I'm sure one can be enough to persuade you." Leo, from his spot in the vines, shakes his head several times as if to tell Splinter to not give Draxum the teapot.

"I-I'm sorry, I have to." Splinter was trying to act like he was saying it to them, but Raph can tell that he was saying it mainly to Leo. Splinter opens a portal with Leo's sword and takes the teapot out of it. He slowly walks up with the teapot in hand to Draxum. 

He doesn't get very far before Draxum uses one of his vines and grabs the teapot before Splinter can get close. Draxum smirks at Splinter and moves up to the dark armor. 

No.

No.

"He's going to finish the dark armor!" Donnie has no idea why he said that, since, I mean, what else would he be doing? Raph realizes this too, and he and his brothers start to run up to try and stop Draxum. Even Leo struggles in his bonds.

But they weren't fast enough.

Draxum clicks the final piece of armor into place and watches as it merges with the rest of it almost instantly. They can all practically feel the horrible energy it's giving off, and Raph can tell Mikey is trying his best not to cry because they failed. 

They were supposed to stop this! The only thing they managed to do was hinder the Foot slightly with their attempts to get the pieces of armor, and obviously that didn't help because, so what if they hindered them! That's not the same as stopping! In all honesty, Raph kind of wanted to cry too. 

Leo seems to feel extremely uncomfortable seeing the armor completed, most likely because he was so close to it. "Now." Draxum turns around to face them, and he removes the vine off of Leo's mouth. "Are you all ready to see the rebirth of Shredder?" Draxum looks at the two Foot lieutenants, who both look very excited about this. 

Draxum smiles and chuckles to himself as he speaks to them. "You wanted me to go into the armor, didn't you?" Both the lieutenants smiles fade. "You knew it would drain my energy and make me basically useless and unable to fight back. Well, as much as I hate to say it, Your precious demon armor won't get as good of a host as me. It will get someone who has a connection to it though!" 

And with that, Draxum throws Leo.

Into the armor.

"LEO!!!" The entire Hamato family screams. 

No, no, no, no, no-

They all watch in horror as the armor quickly latches onto Leo like a leech. Leo screams as it practically stabs him and burns into his skin, as Draxum just watches and laughs. The Foot lieutenants realized they probably messed up, and they ran away at some point. Fucking cowards.

The last thing anyone sees of Leo is his panicked and terrified expression as his screams can be heard ringing in their ears. Raph never, never wanted to see such a terrified look on any of his brothers faces ever. But now he just did.

And he never wants to see it again.

when i think about leo's arc in the movie get a little sad, because it's like... all the Leader Lessons leo had to learn were almost exactly the same lessons raph had had to learn in the span of the whole show. i think we sometimes forget that raph had to grow into leadership role as well? he was pretty careless and irresponsible at the beginning too! he didn't trust his team! he dismissed ideas that weren't his own! on his first mission he wanted to pull his younger brothers to fight a spine breaking bandits-! (that also makes me think that leo tried to emulate raph's leadership pre his character arcs, from before he became "killjoy". leo chose all the wrong examples to imitate his big bro, maybe specifically because he wanted for things to come back to from before the Shredder) but we don't see the world ending specifically because of raph's faults as the leader...! like ok, i do think leo needed someone/something to knock some sense into him but man. i don't think it had to be this brutal fsdjk

Hey everyone, I think I’m out of tumblr jail. Can someone tell me if this is showing up in the tags? Also, I have A THING to say.

Y’all remember this show?

Wanna know something interesting? Disney had a rule called “65 and DONE.” This meant that, no matter HOW popular, a show was only allowed 65 episodes before it it was finished and the studio moved on to another project.

Well, Kim Possible reached that 65 number, AND had a movie finale to finish it off. It was over. DONE. It had it’s popular run, at good amount of episodes, AND a large scale finale to end all things.

BUT!

Fans were NOT done.

Before facebook, before instagram, before twitter and TikTok. Fans all over the world, sent THOUSANDS OF LETTERS to Disney. So many, that DISNEY BROKE IT’S OWN RULE, to bring it back for a full FOURTH SEASON! I’m not talking 13 episodes to placate the fans. KP had a full 22 episodes.

So if this show can be OVER but still RISE From the ashes, I don’t see why ROTTMNT can’t! I know everyday the fandom feels like it’s shrinking, like more people are moving on, but impossible things have happened before.

Send me ideas on what you like to do to save Rise. Work together. Say something, draw something, make something, send something. You’re voice counts!

Small comic I made because I was bored. And because I was sick and needed to take my mind off of the fact that I might have been bleeding internally.
