Mantel Display, June 2014

I have been updating the mantel doll display since I figured out how to make a rainbow for Pride Month.

Here are the color close ups:

Red (Life) these mushrooms say, "You can't kill me in any way that matters..."

Orange (Healing)

I wish I had more orange, and I wish for more healing in the world.

Yellow (Sunlight)

Many people don't realize that "You Are My Sunshine" is a song about longing and fear of your love being known, as well as that love being taken away. We are starting to love in the sunlight, so don't miss a chance to tell your loved one(s) how dear they are to you!

Green (Nature)

I just added some more green to the center of the display! What could be more natural than genuine connections with other people, and living as one's own authentic self!

Blue (Serenity) and Turquoise (Magic)

My Technicolor Faun display has plenty of Turquoise which makes sense. They're Magical!

Violet (Spirit)

Raise each other's spirits! My Violet section was very desaturated so I swapped out some outfits.

And since the Magic Mixies Pixlings were a point of inspiration for the display, vibrant purples are far more appropriate!

Connor (Leeke Rihael) by Ali MacTavish-Riach Via Flickr: Finally my boy is more or less done. He spent 6 years in a box as a blank head poor thing. I purchased him over a year ago from a fellow Den of Angels member, got a body for him last year (Popodoll 66cm body), and a few months ago actually began his faceup. There is a difference in the resin shades which I tried to compensate for while doing his face. It's bearable and eventually the body will yellow slightly over time making the difference less noticeable, hopefully.

When I started collecting BJDs, I was really into the 1/4 scale dolls. I've collected a few of the larger dolls, too, and a gaggle of tinies.

But the "Yo-SD" size didn't grab me. I'm not that into baby dolls or child-dolls. My mom had been collecting in that style, though, and wanted me to be able to play with her. So I found a strange catgirl YO that I liked, and mom got her for me for my birthday.

I have a collection of that size now, and they are all peculiar in some way.

Ginger is the pirate, they are my NB kiddo. They love to share clothes with everybody.

Gala is a Lekeworld Soda Ent, and she is the de facto leader. Kitty is my original, she's an Impldoll Aimee, and Bruce is a 5 Star BatBoy. (He's in character as "Damien.")

Séance 9 : To a lover from the past

Hello ! Nouvelle séance de Stella aujourd'hui, qui a enfin ses customisations : un obitsu 27" M, une wig Leekeworld et des gros eyelashes (4 couches aha)... Je la trouve absolument sublime comme ça !!

Sax before and after! She’s a recast Volks Pearl head on a Dollstown 18yr body. Dyed (and then painted) by me as the dye took strangely due to sanding. She’s a demon OC of mine. Still waiting on ears and a tail and a ponytail, but she looks so coooooool. Wig is Leekeworld from DDE, eyes are from ChronicArtDolls, the rest is all by me, including the horns. The dress is made from artfully tied and draped bandanas. More to come! (Yes, she will wear that first outfit again later ♥) anti-recast DNI
