So, what is animal cruelty??

Animal cruelty is when animals are abused (harmed or tortured due to psychological issues of the human in charge of them). It usually involves not giving them food (like in prisons for spies), hitting them (physical torture), or poisioning them (so they don't die but they are in agony).

According to the U.S. Animal Welfare Act you can't crush, burn, drown animals. Breaking animal cruelty laws in the U.S. can result in fines, jail , community service, probation, or a combination of these punishments.The exact consequences depend on the state and the severity of the crime.

But, is this judgement correct? Technically the person still will be in jail after he dies. The man is currently 57 years old. The average life expectancy in the U.S. is 82 years. The person will long be dead before the sentence ends. 457 years is nearly 15 generations of a family and 5 centuries!
