8è àlbum d'estudi d'aquest talentós músic que va ser fundador de la Supersonic Blues Machine.

A principis de le seva carrera va estar més orientat cap el Blues que no pas el Rock, però a mida que ha passat el temps, en comptes de reblandir-se s'ha endurit, i la prova la tenim en aquest "Trouble Is Good". Un treball contundent, poderós i plé de bons riffs.

Tints zeppelians amb "Easy to Leave" i la guitarra de 12 cordes, només obrir aquest bon treball. Li segueixen 2 trons més: "Jam With Me" amb riffs ZZ Top i la meravellosa "Trouble Is Good" que dóna títol a l'àlbum i obre amb un slide surenyo, solo de harmònica i un groove molt eficient a la tornada. Fem parada en el "Uncivil War" a la Free, en un mig-temps ple de feeling recolzat pel Rhodes. Segueix encadenant molt bons temes, com el contundent "Wild Country", el drop-d "Take a Swing", un pausat "Trying In The Tri Star State" per recaure en un major "Slow Down" a la Cream (sobretot la tornada). Finalitza amb un Viatge, dividit en 3 parts, amb una intro morisca, riffs nets zeppelians i solos Bonamassa, en un context de jam.

Lopez s'ha superat. No sé si és la influència de la seva turquoise firebird o de la maduresa, però el cert és que trobo que és un àlbum de 10.

I just had possibly greatest/strangest fic idea

so character A is a math nerd and character B is in their math class and they like each other, the usual. Character A decides to show their love by literal equations to solve to confess. So every day they give character B a literal equation to solve and in the end they spell out "i like you"
