Finally was able to watch Le Petite Vampire from 2020, which interested me the moment I saw it was made by the director of The Rabbi's Cat.

Captain of the Dead (Little Vampire's adopted dad) is 100% tumblr sexyman material that's collecting dust. I had to draw him with Pandora. But, speaking of that...

The plotpoint surrounding the Gibbous (the villain) and Sleeping Belle (CotD's sentient ship)... well no matter what it would always have detractors since Gibbous is the incely villain and the movie basically forgets that at the end with them- which, to be clear, is fair. But, even as someone who likes a 'and then the villain changed/found love in someone else' theme I thought it was poorly handled. Imagine if the Diamonds in Steven Universe was amplified to 100. Don't do this to villains.

The first time I watched it (and subsequent viewings in English) I didn't know that Gibbous had apparently zapped Sleeping Belle's memory- they didn't make that part entirely clear. I just knew ''wow um, that's rushed and also NO don't have him leave his moonman motif and her be normal size- GROSS". Upon learning that that was the intent in the original french I was mad.

No!! This is my version of the ending and YOU ARE GONNA LIKE IT!!
