I couldn’t make up my mind on one species (I did not want a human in a DIVERSE Mario universe lol) so I chose all of them Huehuehue.

There aren’t many shapeshifting characters/creatures, but I’ve noticed that Lumas can technically be anything. Let’s just pretend that if they become stars or planets or galaxies, they can’t change back 🫢.

This is my excuse to make a sona of every creature in the Mario universe!

I originally wanted to draw all of these characters without shoes because Penderdot doesn’t like wearing them, but I kinda forgot 😶. You can always tell who she is because something is not quite right with them (barefoot Toad, Paratroopa with curly feathers, etc) and is always wandering at night during meteor showers making wishes. She doesn’t know the customs of the form she chooses like being too nice for a Koopa in the army or not running away from danger as a Toad or covering her face as a Shaman.

She is not of this world. She is strange. You can always tell when star folk like her are among us by the way of their behavior. They are from another world, so be nice to them if encountered. If you are to cross paths with a Star folk like a Luma and you feel the urge to correct their behavior, politely tell them, and they will gladly oblige, as it is in their nature to change for the better.

Do you accept the headcannon that Luigi is loaded? And even deeper, it's partially because he gets the money from his ghosts hunts, but he mostly gets it from poker?

I do accept the headcanon that Luigi is absolutely rolling in more money than he knows what to do with post Luigi's Mansion, ESPECIALLY after Luigi's Mansion 2 & 3.

I also headcanon that– though Luigi likes to splurge every once in a while– he is a big fan of his simple, humble lifestyle, and is not eager to upgrade beyond, like, going from instant coffee to ground coffee.

As for the poker? Well... now I'm going into slightly more complicated and far-reaching headcanons... but hear me out:

Let's say, after suddenly becoming ultra-wealthy overnight, Luigi uses the money to open up a casino! But little do people know this casino isn't a business venture so much as it is a way to subtly give away his excess funds (and an excuse to brush up on poker any time he wants.) Eventually the word gets out: you low on on grocery money? Short on rent? Just go to Luigi's casino and gamble for a bit, and after a few ups and downs you'll eventually leave with more than what you need. Luigi will happily pull whatever strings necessary to see to it that you're taken care of.

Of course if you try to take advantage of the system, or are a massive jerk to the people around you, Luigi is not afraid to challenge you to a game of poker and take you for every coin you've got. It seems like if there's one realm where he's uncharacteristically confident, it's at a card table....
