New Sexuality Label!
I couldn't find a label to fit me, so I made my own.
Egoromantic
Flag:
Tumblr media
Definition:
Egoromantic: A person who experiences romantic attraction, but whose feelings may or may not include the desire for reciprocation or a romantic relationship. Egoromantic individuals may experience fluctuations in their desire for reciprocation or a relationship, and their romantic feelings may be primarily internally focused.
Meaning of the flag colours:
Purple: often associated with royalty and self-importance, which represents the self-focused nature of egoromantic feelings. Pink: a common colour for romantic attraction, but a lighter shade represents the fluctuating nature of egoromantic desires. Grey: a neutral colour that represents the ambivalence or uncertainty that egoromantic individuals may feel towards reciprocation or relationships. Black: a bold colour that represents the independence and individuality of egoromantic people.
Commonly asked questions:
where does Egoromantic fall on the sexuality spectrum?
Based on the definition provided, Egoromantic seems to fall under the aromantic umbrella. This means that it is a label that describes someone who experiences romantic attraction in a non-normative way, which in this case means a fluctuating desire for reciprocation or a romantic relationship. However, it's important to remember that labels and categories are just tools to help us understand and communicate our experiences, and not everyone may feel that Egoromantic (or any other label) perfectly fits their identity. What matters most is that you feel comfortable and empowered by the label you choose to use.
You could say that egoromanticism is a specific type of greyromanticism, or that it falls under the broader umbrella of the aromantic spectrum.
Is being Egoromantic selfish?
Being Egoromantic is not inherently selfish. While the label does emphasize a self-focused approach to romantic attraction, it's important to remember that there are many different ways to experience and express romantic feelings, and not all of them involve wanting or needing reciprocation or a traditional romantic relationship.
It's perfectly valid for someone to prioritize their own needs and desires when it comes to romantic feelings, as long as they're honest and open with the people they're attracted to. In fact, being honest about your feelings and desires can be a sign of respect for others, since it allows them to make informed decisions about how they want to engage with you.
That said, it's always important to be considerate of other people's feelings and needs as well. Just because you're Egoromantic doesn't mean you should ignore or dismiss the feelings of the people you're attracted to.

Where is that post of the girl egg who was caring for horses and was startled to have it pointed out to her that she had been obliviously working in the stall with the Man-Eater™️?
It is funny. Recently I had a transphobe argue to me, that "well, it is all made up! Animals will still not know that you identify as a man". Which to me is so funny, because while there has never been extensive research done on this topic, there is a lot of anecdotal evidence showing the exact opposite.
As someone who has done a lot of work with animals, I can tell you, that those animals that for one reason or another like one gender more or less than another often show the same loving or hostile behavior towards people completely depending on the gender the people actually identifies as.
"Sure," some people might say, "because if you take hormons you gonna smell like the gender to an animal." But that is the funny part. Animals often act according to that with trans adults who are still in egg mode. Who have not come out yet. And nobody knows why and how they can tell.
But some of the harsher animals with a "gender preference in humans" are like the best trans indicators. You have not admitted to yourself you are a guy? Yeah, this cat is gonna hate you anyways. Because this cat hates men.
Sincerely the guy who got attacked by this one fucking bunny, who didn't like dudes, several times

1,179 suicides today. 2,114 yesterday after the election (source). please check in on your friends and loved ones, even online friends. check in on them even if they seem happy and okay. if you’re considering attempting, don’t. I know this world is fucked up, especially right now, but for what it’s worth, the fact you are still alive means you’re a fighter and a survivor. you’ve made it this far and if no one else tells you, I am proud of you for being alive. it takes fucking strength and courage, and look at you still being here. give yourself some credit because you are so much stronger than you think. yes, everything fucking sucks right now. but you will get through it even if it doesn’t look like it right now. it will eventually get better. I really truly believe that, no matter how hopeless or cruel things are right now. I truly believe you will survive and will get to genuinely be happy and truly safe. just please hang in there.
