(irl shit)
this place I interned at one time, elevator repair and r&d, led by two EE guys and several technicians/repairs people who probably knew way more about engineering than both the EEngineers and myself combined (definitely more than me!), had this strange issue where, basically, the elevator software wasn't properly being installed into the elevator (the bootloader was throwing an error) when the computer running the bootloader also had an internet browser running and this internet browser was streaming music.
yeah seriously.
so digging around I found that when the browser was running the bootloader would fail to map the first byte to the correct address, but fixing that was beyond me, I had only the vaguest understanding of how shit worked, so my suggestion was "just turn the music off for a second man". obviously they didn't like that, they were like "yeah we figured that out already did you go to school for this" lmao hhgjfhg

"Brother and Buddy said they'll be parking the airship for a few days." There was something about them taking a break thrown in there too. They'd been working themselves to the bone with a recent flurry of sphere hunting gigs and wanted to lay low for a while. The Gullwings weren't as big as they once were and Rikku had apparently been busy helping people too. She dared not think about what Shinra was working on these days, let alone how Rin had gotten involved.
"Think we can convince Baralai and Nooj to help us borrow it for a while?" They had always talked about having their own airship one day.

QUESTION
@predvestnik ↤ accepting :: HE’S A 10, BUT... ↩
‘ He isn't a ten. He's more like a bad, incomplete joke: seven, eight, nine. ’ Honestly, this was meant to target one Master Diluc, but can be about anyone—
DILUC the rag in his fist creaks. red eyes drop to it with an incredulity that peers further inward: down into the tight, discomfiting squirm of his chest.
oh. i’m going to be sensitive about this.
fantastic.
how mean. to be bullied like this, after a smooch?
after allowing him to feel vulnerable & stupid & delicious—
it’s certainly impossible to guess what has his cheeks grow ruddy all over again: the memory, or this shameless return to the norm.
perhaps it should be a blessing...
“ugh.”
at least it asks for no delicacy in return. it wouldn’t be rude not to feel. no weeping maiden stands in line to curse his lineage for an affront she should have expected, angled for. ( no. no, that’s him right now, isn’t it? holy sh- )
don’t have to feel anything about this.
( right. because that was ever an option. )

RIP the Xu aide who had to report back on the contents of Commander Tan's press conference.
The absolute fear in that poor man's eyes.

congratulations to tumblr for being the first social media site to get me to pay for something, and it is because a) the fact it does nothing and only serves to mark me as a loser is hilarious to me, and b) the announcement was very very funny

So the way our pharmacy is oriented in the store gives us a very clear view of one of the entrances that happen to not have any registers near it. The back corner on our side is also where all the alcohol is.
This perfect alignment of shit floor design means it is very easy and INCREDIBLY popular to just waltz out with any booze you may want. We watched a lady with a 12 pack of twisted tea shoved very obviously in her purse just stride out with an admirable sense of determination, no sneaking, no shame. And that's just one example.
One of my coworkers gets SO fucking bent out of shape about it. He sees someone and he'll just yell after them, "Hope you enjoy it have a great time!" in that tone that makes it very clear he wishes he could leap the counter and tackle them.
Everyone laughs, but I just end up wondering why he lets it bother him so much. The store doesn't give a shit, if they did they'd invest the time and money to rearrange the layout to deter it, it's not like it's a fucking secret that it happens (you can probably hear him halfway round the store any time he spots someone), why do YOU feel the need to care about it more than the company does?
Chill the fuck OUT, man, and stop startling me into fight or flight mode every day
