ya know that crackfic where Lost Silver!Gold get flung into the ceiling by the reader? Well, I wanna see more of this reader and what their personality is like and how they’d interact with the other Poképasta trainers. I’d like think that the reader would be a bit crackhead-ish.

I’d also imagine that the reader mostly uses fighting types and knows and is friends with the mainline FNF cast.

That threat's enough to make him finally start the battle, but while you and your Pokémon gave it your all...Steven eventually won and was about to send your soul to the depths below as the loser's punishment-

But your Annihilape suddenly bounced back to life and you commanded it to use Seismic Toss on Miki.

"That's not going to work." He taunted. "She's untouchable-"

Somehow they could use the move on her, sending her crashing on top of Steven and instantly knocking both of them out.

You smiled proudly and fistbumped Annihilape, before you both got the hell out of that creepy tower.

Somewhere in the afterlife, Mike's laughing his ass off.

Glitchy Red

You somehow got into his game, meeting him in Glitch City just because you wanted to see him face-to-face. Steven told you he was a nice guy so you figured you'll pay him a visit.

"Yo, are you the infamous Glitchy Red?"

I think using Chili as reference would be a bit far fetched when you consider how the triplets hair is. And honestly, can you blame the submas fans trying to bring up Emmet? I certainly don't. I don't keep up that much with this stuff but submas fans are starved for content (I say as if I'm not one of them, help-)

Anyway um. If all personalities are swapped I have this thought of the Pkmn House being used for profit rather than just a fun house full of Pokémon? Gold's mother is *very* strict and formal and uptight and that's why Gold tries to be such a perfectionist and the pride of New Bark Town. It's to drawn in tourists and money so his mother can basically scam them over a daycare type setting. Gold is left with most of the tasks and responsibilities while his mother puts on a nice face and makes him do the same to keep up their reputation.

This is a major reason why Gold is so angry and kinda violent(? I'm just basing that on your bday art for Gold where he's holding up a bat to og Gold). Cause [cough cough much like gv Ethan] most of his childhood has been ripped from him in favor of putting on a show to keep others happy (and possibly to keep himself safe from the potential wrath of his mother) leading to built up rage over the course of possible years.

Kris can see right through the mask he puts on obviously and they've almost gotten him to crack a few times but nothing has worked so far.

Also Gold's mother absolutely adores Silver and compares the two a lot (mainly putting Gold in a negative light) and Silver sometimes helps out to gain her trust more

also yes all of his pent up rage is the direct result of his idealistic perfect child facade requiring him to Never express any remotely negative emotions At All. and I think he’s had to do this for mmmost of his life. he got shoved into the perfect child mold at a very very young age I fear.. I dont think he has a Specific disdain for his Situation though. his inner hatred is kind of directionless and just targets the general people around him (except his mom. something something mother knows best) and also probably himself but Dont worry about it

HOWEVER… speswap crys is actually the only person to be successful in cracking gold’s facade even if only a little. even after leaving the direct supervision of his mother to do dexholder stuff he continues to be Inoffensive and Polite and Perfect to everyone EXCEPT crys. well he keeps the facade up as best as he can but she has gotten numerous Actually Rude comments from him which is a wild departure from the attitude he usually displays

and also idk if there would be a scenario where the others would get to meet golds mother (and also crys would probably try jumping her if Im gonna be honest) but it is a funny thought…

Gold is the reigning champ of Johto for 10+ years. He wanders off similar Blue & his gym and actually is very tired of his champion title but feels some sort of obligation to keep it.

(I’ll make a whole new post for my hcs on Gold because god are there a lot.)

Whenever Gold’s gone he asks Silver to fill in for him. He knows Silvers one of the few people on par with his skills as a trainer. That being said Silver could arguably also be a champion? he’s not in the hall of fame, but he’s as close as one could get to a champion level battle.

but obviously if Gold is learning new things his rival doesn’t wanna fall behind. so sometimes Silver will tag along. He’s much more diligent about their responsibilities though and constantly nags Gold abt how much of a flake he is abt his league position. he doesn’t go overboard with it though, he understands how gold really feels about his title.

they’re best friends. they argue so fucking much but they basically live together and care for each other. Gold makes Silver lunch everyday and Silver always complains about how it tastes but he always finishes it. theyre so used to how close they are that they arent able to tell how blurry the like between dating and friendship is for them.

They’re rude, mean, and jerks to one another, but there’s no true malice behind their actions anymore. the foundation of their rivalry and therefore friendship was built of how much of an asshole they both were/are, so it’s natural for them to keep it going.

they eventually earn the title of battle legends. Gold and Silver are recognized for their strength alongside Red and Blue (and Leaf? She has that title. right.(???)). Could be argued that Gold is “stronger” than Red, but they both know brute strength isn’t all that goes into a battle. (Even if that was Gold’s main strat for a while.)

Gold and Silver seen together more than theyre seen separately because they train together and work together basically.

Anyways. onto the actual Paldea part. since Scarlet & Violet came out close enough to the 25th anniversary of pkmn i was like…. it would be so chill if gold and silver were there. originally I had ideas for them to be involved in Sword & Shield, but then Paldea was revealed. A Spain inspired region… how could I not pair that up with the one protagonist I swear up and down is a latino (🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽 Mexican Gold real and true btw.)

Now granted I haven’t properly beat SV bc I’m BUSY. but Afaik there isn’t any sort of battle tower in the region? even swsh had one.

so Gold and Silver’s attentions are grabbed by the region (initially for different reasons) and theyre like hey. we could do some good here.

The champion title for Paldeas pkmn league is one of the reasons they’re so interested. arguably it’s the best out of all the regions. only having 1 strongest trainer is kind of silly (it sort of resonates with whatever deal they have going on it Johto)

they reach out to Paldean officials like hey. we want to set up a space where the strongest trainers can duke it out with worth while opponents. and theyre like wow thats so smart. so i was thinking maybe they make it like a dojo? still pondering. idk. i was thinking Silver runs it and Gold is just one of the higher ups (he’s still champ bro)

anyways they talk to the florian/juliana like “heyyy 😁 we heard ur the new champ! thats chill mind battling us so we can get a grasp of the skill around here???” because yk. classic young child champ. real recognizes real

it's sort of a world where the concept of pokemon is settled into it more realistically. not saying it's super realistic or anything like that, i just mean certain aspects abt the traditional pokemon world is changed to reflect what i Think it would probably look like irl

there's still magic, bc a lot of pokemon moves can definitely be considered magic. i don't rly care abt the whole like,, "omg this move would end humanity omg most electric pokemon let out the volt equivalent of like a small refrigerator omg the very concept of evolution is fucked and an evolution would kill everything within a 5 mile radius Probably but that's just a (game) theory" i do think that stuff is fun to think abt but for the sake of everybody Living i kinda ignore a lot of that GVIYEAGA

THERE'S,, a lotta little things abt trainers in this au that i've thought abt !! first of all u have to be 18 to be a pokemon trainer. this 10 year old child is not handling this 11 foot tall dragon. and most trainers do not have 6 pokemon !! raising pokemon is a fuckin Task, and i sorta equate it to like,, being a zookeeper and trying to train lions and tigers to obey u. it takes a lot of effort to train even one animal like that; now imagine ur taking care of and training six. that's,,, usually too much for the average person GVIYAEGV not to mention,,,, fuckign expensive

most trainers ofc start w one and usually get at least one more somewhere along the journey, but a lot stop there ! that's still a lot of work, and everybody deals w work and stress differently, so a pretty solid chunk of trainers stick to loving and training their one or two buddies

a lesser chunk of trainers make it up to 3 pokemon, an even lesser amount trains 4, and even lesser percentage trains 5,, u get it. wars in particular has 5 pokemon on his team, and another herdier at home that's simply one of the tamer, pet-like pokemon people have.

on the more realistic side of things, trainers can get hit w moves, and it's not like a Oh Haha They Got Shocked and They're Smoking like in the animes or anything. it Hurts and it's very dangerous. pokemon training in general is dangerous as all hell, not just bc the obvious caution it takes to train a team, but also just bc most of the time trainers are out in the wild ,, yaknow. training. and being in the middle of the wilderness isn't the safest thing, especially when there's wild pokemon everywhere

on the more boring side of things, i think every trainer is legally required to have a pokedex. pokedexes here do a bit more, including basic phone features and emergency stuff cuz This Is Dangerous yaknow. also yes the pokedex Can run doom somebody's already tried it

uhhh more boring shit so sorry but im mentally ill abt the boring logistics of this. every trainer is issued an id card and u can see wars' in my drawing ! the back of it is the typical trainer id from the games, but the front is fancy and quickly gives info abt the trainer themselves

they r color coded !!!! different colored pokeball symbol on the card for the number of team members they have :) red is 1, yellow is 2, blue is 3, bronze is 4, silver is 5 (wars !!!!!!!!), gold is 6. the more important figures in the pokemon world (gym leaders, league winner, elite four, champion) have a black colored card to quickly tell people Hey Im Fuckin Good (hint hint legend has a gold id card >:])

the league competitions r prolly split into categories ?? like,, there's a league category just for trainers w one pokemon ! and then there's the typical 6-pkmn team category, and everything in between. it seems a bit unfair to let somebody w 3 pokemon go up against somebody w 6, especially given the fact that some people have Jobs they need to go to . training is a side-hobby for most people (not to mention a lot of people straight up can't afford it). so the league splits them all up into different challenges. (not quite sure what would happen if the winner of the 1-pkmn category tried to challenge the champion ...... maybe there's champions/elite four/gym leaders for each category !!! that'd be cool i think)

^ just bc people r shitty and dumb sometimes, there's prolly a stigma around people who only have one or two pokemon, but i like to think the Good, Nice trainers know otherwise. just bc u can train more pokemon doesn't mean ur immediately Better. yes, a trainer with 5 pokemon versus ur 2 will Probably win, but it's not rly abt that ? pokemon is abt bonds and all that mushy shit. respectful trainers will know that the 2-pkmn category champion is not Worse than the 5-pkmn champion. they r very, very different things, when u get into it

side note on that i feel like the 1-pkmn category would be strangely popular in this world. it's a 1v1 ? u only have one buddy w u, so covering ur weakness is very hard to do i'd think. idk i don't play online competitive GVIAEYGV AND ALSO, abt the categories being different ? in a competitive sense, a team of 3 is going to be WILDLY different in terms of strategies and plays than a team of 6. u have to think much differently

also im not totally sure abt this part, still kinda thinkin on it, but people who Aren't trainers still have pokemon at their side, and im wonderin abt the laws of that . similar to the law of like,, not being allowed to have a Fucking Leopard in ur living room, i feel like having super dangerous pokemon would be,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,not good <3 GVEAIYVGA i wonder how they'd fix that problem,,,

i debated on like,, they have pkmn in a tier list ? of like,, how dangerous they can be. and maybe if it's just a household pet, it'd have to be in This Tier (points at overly complicated graph) to be able to house that pokemon. and what abt like,,,,,,, pokemon that get Way more dangerous w their evolution ? they'd be in a different tier, surely. maybe they legally have to hold an everstone ?? i don't fuckin know GVEYAUGV

Not doing that and just catching them against their will seems like straight up imprisonment to me VGIEAGV so i think that's generally a good courtesy. if u Don't do that when catching a wild pokemon then everybody kinda thinks ur a ://////////// trainer

wygtm (sumo rewrite) i am still planning to come back to. still love it. still love the post-game epilogue i drafted while in a summer course in 2019. still love the sequel idea that incorporates usum elements while also being set in the future (so mizuki+lillie are adults and have established jobs in alola and some of the brunt of the usum plot is shoved onto an unsuspecting kid to mirror how those 2 handled sumo events (ailey i think????? was the name of usum!mizuki in the demo, so i ran with it. they were 2 separate ppl) buuuuuuut ik a holdup w that will be that ill have to rewrite everything and actually decide on a personality for mizuki and also. idk i still like the name faaora i think it was french polynesian??? or smth for "hero" which was fitting. this was before the selene/elio name reveal and before i liked moon. if i redid this now i'd jus call her mizuki and have her nn be moon like i did in komadori

oh i JUST checked n the perfectworld fic was last modified (digitally) august 2019. that literally could've been accidentally pressing a key and deleting it tho im not sure. i think my first rewrite was in a notebook so maybe this is the most current version n its digital. i opened it in 2022 which im almost positive was when i did those sketches for korrina and gurkinn's granddaughters from johto. dont you just love when you make ocs for a fic in your teens and still love them years down the line.

i think the last one of note is the ranger au set in sinnoh that p much is abandoned at this point bc i've admitted to hell n back that i didnt write plot details down anywhere n its been so long ive forgotten everything. the only thing i can repurpose is all the background info i had for the sinnoh quintet and how each of them has a difficult relationship with their family and why they're out as "wandering" trainers. i've thought abt this so much bc i still love the designs i gave those 5 and all the lore i established. was gonna do a riley/roark fic last summer using my tron notes for him so maybe this summer i will. doing smth for each of them in detail would be fun since i love them sooooooo. (also i can absolutely still stuff marley/candice into her fic and actually write polartwilight for the first time ever bc i looove them)

looking @ old fic i started when i was 14/15 is so funny bc im realizing once again why i never mark fics as abandoned even if its been literal years since i've touched them. specifically i was checking docs for stuff i started and either did or didn't post to ffn.

and its like. nothing is bad??? like i can see where my outside-the-box ideal of fic writing comes from. not just fics but writing in general, i'm p sure. even if it's a total cliche plot setup, there are details on each that rly make it stand out like oh yeahhhhhh i did have this great idea once upon a time.

funny too bc was it executed well in prose??? no absolutely not i wrote like shit when i was 15. would i revive an idea one day and revise it to be less cliche or cringy while still keeping the stand-out elements??? yea maybe. i might. everything i'm currently working on that i started from 2021 up to now still holds my supreme interest, but like i'm not gonna say never.

esp since i write fic first and foremost for my own need and specifically what i like to read, it makes it impossible to consider an idea i've thought extensively about "not worth writing anymore". anyway not making this too long i jus found everything interesting to consider

What's a notp and why do you hate it ?

OTP in fandom spaces stands for "One true pairing" and is used to point out the one ship you like the most, the one that "this is it, they're meant to be together" kind of thing.

It is a very old slang and doesn't carry the weight of their word like back in... fucking... Tumblr pre dash con era, but for me there had always been a distinction between a ship and a otp (there can be otps too, like multiple inside a series/show etc, both for multiple pairings or different combos of

Variations of the term OTP are BROTP (that stands for bromance/friendship between characters), OT3 (can be used for polyships or love triangles, OT4 is another variation from that)

And NOTP; opposite to OTP is the one ship you dislike A LOT, the same burning passion you have to love a OTP is turn into burning heathen rage on your NOTP. One thing is not like a ship and the other is not stand it at all, to the point you actively avoid it.

I'm gonna put an example thats beyond my followers:

My OTP is Silver/Crystal from the pkmn manga, I like their personalities and dynamic that have shown together, they haven't been the main focus on the story as a pair but I like the potential they have and compliment it with their game counterpart lore (mostly for Silver, Cris is just the protag). There isn't much content of it because I picked a rare pair to be my main for some reason (and people took interest on the game Remake counterpart who did Cristal dirty) but most if what there is I appreciate. They're red/blue color coded, it's always a good signal

My NOTP is Gold/Crystal from the same soucre, I like their dynamic for a friendship but I don't think it would work well as a couple, one character is very annoying when it comes to interact with women and the other stops being the cool, strong character when she is next to this man and just????. Also the fandom loves to potray them fighting and being a dysfunctional couple... or a """married couple""" like they said. It just doesn't click right with me.

However, me not liking a ship is no excuse to go harass people who do like it, no matter if is my NOTP. I just move away.

All healthy ships are valid and people can bring very interesting outtakes of them in fandom spaces

Persona 5 friends: Futaba, haru & maybe Makoto (fun but chill group of friends, aesthetic photos, girls get to together and hanging out in Japan, shopping together.)

Pokemon trainer friends: Serena, yellow, jasmine, hilda, red( friendly red), silver, gold and calum

im hyped 4 pkmn legends cuz its the pre-modern times that a lot of ppl have been wanting 4 a while and tbh a remake like frlg hgss and oras /would/ b kinda stale. like itd be good 4 sure, but i really like how this one is shaking the formula up. hopefully anywayz, since they only showed a bit. common critique of dppt is that the colors arent that interestin (lotta the same green brown and blue), so the art style should change that. and perhaps there will be cool worldbuilding!! im hopeful

jakdfs;jklasd;fjkl yeah i feel like honestly the different art styles are probably to differentiate the two games more and like honestly i saw someone say that the real game they wanna make is the legends game and the remake is more like added context for newer fans like idk its just weird i wish instead of this they would like... rerelease the old games like they did with gold and silver a number of years ago on the 3ds because oh my god the main reason id say the remakes are needed is because of how fucking greedy the resellers have gotten and that people are selling old ds pokemon games for like 2-3x the price so you honestly cant just say to someone oh you should just play platinum or something
