February empties 2024.

I'm relieved we are so close to the beginning of March meaning spring is at last just around the corner! I'm not a fan of winter- it's too cold, too wet, short days, everything is just so dreary & my mental health tends to get a bit worse during this season. It's also nearly the end of February which brings us another monthly empties!

There's not as many as there was last month & I won't be mentioning the Head & Shoulders shampoo as I mentioned it in a previous monthly empties.

Kwailnara Strawberry Milk Body Lotion:

This is obviously from TK Maxx (you can see the price label on the side!). I was a bit disappointed with this at first- the scent of it wasn't very strong. However, that is possibly due to the fact I had a cold when I started using this! When I got over said cold, I could smell how yummy this was. Its not a super strong strawberry scent but you can smell it. It's also a brilliant body lotion- it soaks in really well and makes my body feel super soft.

Nivea 2in1 Milk & Toner:

This is a decent cleansing lotion. It's super cheap & along with that, Simple's, a Garnier one & the Dr Organic Rose one (RIP) its one I use a fair amount.

It does say in the back that 95% of people who have used it 'confirm it cleanses the skin without drying out' bur I'll be honest- there's some days (not every day) that it does leave my skin feeling a little tight before I moisturise so just be aware of that if you have sensitive skin. But it's decent enough.

Eclat Skin Retinol Night Moisturiser:

I bought this as I wanted to try & incorporate retinol in my skincare & thought this would be gentler than a serum.

Honest thoughts? I hate it. I really did not like it. I like the glass jar, I like the scent (which was quite a strong fresh scent) but oh boy, I was so relieved to finish it. Massaging this into my skin was not fun- it made my skin feel really textured when I was massaging it in (which other moisturisers haven't done) & it felt like it was pilling as well. I have used cheaper moisturisers which have felt better! The RRP is a whopping £75 but honestly, I would not drop that much on it (the price at TK Maxx is £16.99 before my discount). I would not use this again.

Essential Beauty Hydrating Facial Serum:

This was lovely to use. It has a light floral scent & it left my skin feeling super soft. It also did what any decent hyaluronic acid does- left my skin flakefree!

Fruity Candy Floss Shower Gel:

This was so so nice. If you like Snow Fairy by Lush, I can guarantee you will like this. Its not as sickly sweet as Snow Fairy, but it smells super yummy. It's also a lot cheaper than Snow Fairy (& there was an offer on at Superdrug so it was even cheaper- less than a pound. Its less than £2 normally).

Foams well, smells yummy, cheap & cheerful- there's not much else to say about it.

And that's the end of my February empties. Not as much as last time- there may be more next month, but I'm not making any promises.

I also got my hair cut this month as well which is something I've been needing to get done for a while:

trying to find a nice smelling perfume, i want to smell like strawberries 🍓 but there's not a lot of (true) strawberry scented stuff, apparently i have a pretty good sense of smell but this makes it difficult to find stuff i like that doesn't smell really artificial or make me gag... so far the strawberry body oil by Red Rose Naturals is a good contender for strawberry scent but it doesn't really make me think "strawberry" but more like... a warm, sweet, slightly fruity smell, almost overripe sort of scent... the strawberry milk lotion by kwailnara is the best true strawberry scent but it changes on my skin and doesn't last long, at least it keeps me moisturized though, i want to try where the wild things grow, but my last experience with an indie perfume went straight to the trash 🗑️

melanie martinez crybaby perfume milk - no link bc they don’t sell it anymore :( ik there’s a couple dupes tho that i’d love to try. i remember when this dropped n the world shook. i have an altpress magazine from that time and there’s a sample in it n it smells so good idk how to explain it. wish she’d drop it again she’d make a fortune off of me fs.

glossier milky jelly cleanser - glossier is finally in physical stores😭 idk if anybody even really gaf abt this brand anymore but i like milky cleansers/body things so i’m curious to see if this’ll work for me

truly beauty boobie bundle - i love this brand but it’s not budget friendly at all i fear. i tried their coco cloud shave butter and ran out but it’s so good n smells like victoria’s secret’s warm and cozy scent. their moon rocks scrub is ok but i wanna try these too💆‍♀️ i don’t like how the containers are glass tho bc i’m always scared it’ll fall and break n i’ll step on the glass in the shower :’) but at least it’s eco friendly🧘‍♀️

an everything shower is a weekly necessity for all. let me give you an ultimate guide on how to do it . .

body : :

- what to do with your body in your everything shower !

001 , dry scrub ( daily )

- once you have hopped into the shower, get your loofah // brush // scrub and start scrubbing your body. this can get rid of dry skin !

002 , soap bar ( daily )

- now , use a bar of soap to wash your body !

003 , shower gel ( daily )

- next , pour a decent amount of shower gel on your loofah // brush // scrub and wash your body !

004 , exfoliator // scrub ( weekly x2 )

- grab your exfoliator and apply it to your skin , this helps remove dead skin cells and makes your skin smoother !

005 , body wash ( daily )

- apply body wash to your skin , it is less harsh than shower gel but both still needed whilst showering !

post - shower : :

- this is what you need to do after taking your everything shower , as soon as you leave the shower !

001 , apply lotion ( daily )

- apply lotion // cream on your body , something like cocoa butter or the kwailnara milk body lotion may help !

002 , baby oil & vaseline ( daily )

- afterwards , rub baby oil and vaseline on your body to make it softer !

003 , body oils ( daily )

- now , put on body oils on your body !

004 , fragrance ( daily )

- add body mist , deodorant , perfume etc !

hair : :

- disclaimer : : this is what helped me with my african // curly hair but you anyone can follow too ( p . s I wash my hair every few days ) !

001 , wash ( on routine )

- turn on the tap and let cold // lukewarm water run in your hair , massage your scalp as you do so !

002 , massaging ( on routine )

- make sure to massage your scalp with a scalp massager but optionally , you can use your hands ! this can help promote hair growth !

003 , conditioner ( on routine )

- apply a sufficient amount of conditioner to the ends of your hair !

004 , shampoo ( on routine )

- add shampoo to the scalp of your head. make sure to massage your scalp as you do so !

005 , relaxer ( occasionally )

- if you want to add relaxer , you need to have added the ingredients before the shower but if you have , wash it out of your hair !

006 , hair masks ( weekly )

- apply the hair mask of your choice ( I use the tsubaki hair mask - if you have low porosity hair I do not recommended it for you ) and leave it on for 5 - 10 minutes , once you're done , rinse it out !

007 , hair oil & other products ( on routine )

- once you're done , dry your hair and start to brush when dry. separate your hair and apply hair food , oils etc. once you're done , I'd like to have heat protection on my hair before I straighten it.

For lotions, I’ve been using Philosophy’s Amazing Grace Shimmering Body Lotion and Kwailnara’s Strawberry Milk Body Lotion.

I’ve also been using Tree Huts Watermelon Shea Sugar Scrub and pairing it with their Watermelon Whipped Shea Body Butter as well. Yum! 🍉💓

I trust TonyMoly 100% with skincare, Paul Mitchel 100% for haircare (it's so pricey tho-), and then for body care...I really enjoy Shower Mate for body wash and Kwailnara for body lotion!

24. Which do you find yourself using, American or British English?

It's kind of funny, I was raised to spell things in British English and I still struggle to 'convert' myself to American spellings. I still automatically spell words like "gray" or "favourite" with the British spelling and my computer always spellcheck's me saying that my spellcheck is set for American English and to convert it but I'm too lazy- I never understood there was a difference until I got to late middle school, early high school?? where my English teacher's kept marking up my papers due to me "spelling things wrong"

На ощупь вроде придала упругости, но вот наврядли она антивозростная. В принципе не плохая маска, особенно учитывая ее стоимость.
