How to set up the FUN party in the sims? 🎉
Questions to ask yourself
What is the event?
Who's invited?
Is there a theme?
Where is the party located?
What's the age of the sims?
Who is this party for?
Do I have to do any CC shopping for this event?
Do I need to download a mod for this party?
Gameplay Tips:
Take advantage of the seasons calendar to set up the event. Example: party spirit tradition, sims will do autonomous interactions that show they're feeling festive. Example: Give Gifts tradition, sims will give you gifts If you want sims not to work during the event, you can click for them to not go to work that day too
Set up VFX, if that's what your party needs [RVSN mod]
Create a menu for your sims, and prepare the food a day in advance
Consider sim's lifestyles. Is a sim a vegetarian, or lactose-intolerant? Are there any kids to give them pizza? Is there a junk food lifestyle sim you want to give them something greasy?
Buffet Table [use bb.moveobjects] to get more slots available
Set up Cannons in correct placement aligned with where you want your sims to celebrate
Have a recovered copy your save, if you don't want to go through the mess of cleaning/removing build mode objects. Not only that, but sometimes, you may need to film again. If you save before the party starts, you can keep replaying the party until you get the party you want (hope this makes sense)
The baby shower event from growing together, sims give the host gifts autonomously and sims celebrate properly when the cannon is fired
Set up cannons from growing together expansion pack, in a correct placement that is aligned with where you want your sims to celebrate accordingly
MWS wedding events are perfect for events you need sims to follow your instructions such as "dance" "gather around"
Steady seat is perfect for seating arrangements
Have a photoshoot area ready, if the party needs it, so you can pose your sims. I recommend custom pose shopping in advance, but after the fact isn't bad either; just don't delete the copy of your save until you've completed that.
Place gameplay objects you need for the party around the lot. Example: If it's a birthday party and there's space, have the pirate ship "rented". You know how parents add bouncy castles and stuff for events? Think of it like that.
When it comes to arranging the table, have your sim add the placemat from parenthood around the table. Sometimes, your sim may not be able to add the placement, you can go into build mode and move the placement to the one your sim couldn't and go back into live mode and have your sim do it all over again until every spot has a placemat. If you have better-build-buy mod, you can copy the debug object yourself and place it around.
When it comes to decorating and you are having issues with slots, I recommend OMSP. It is explained in my video at 28:18♥
If you're having a dinner party, have your sim "pick up serving" for drinks and food, your sim will place the food in their inventory and you can place it yourself around the table. Perfect example to see this is Joy of Life Legacy challenge when my sim had a Winterfest dinner party (33:26)*
Don't forget to add kiss of freshness lot modifier on your lot, so food doesn't expire
Place the food over the placemat, and have their drink to their right side.
Zero's drinking mod works like placemat where your sims can place drinks around the table. There's age appropriate drinks too like juices and sodas for child/teen sims.
The Sims 4 gallery contains rooms where there's food for your sims and if you didn't have time to cook. Miss_frogstar has a bunch of rooms for your sims that contain food. It's really detailed for you.
Have a serving table, if your party is meant to have a lot of guests and food. It takes the load off you, when you don't have to worry about table slots for larger events.
Create sims you can hire for events. Think of these sims like Nurse Joy from Pokémon. You can have this sim be a townie in all your saves. Cheat their skills and hire them for events/set their outfits.
Lock them doors LMAO! Sims love to misbehave and go everywhere, so it's easier to have them be in certain areas by locking the door of the rooms you don't want them to be in.
I also recommend saving the party decorated home in your gallery, so you can just place it again in the future and remix it to how you want it
Sometimes you got to combine different events to create the atmosphere you want in your game, so don't be too hard on yourself, if you feel like it's not going how you want. We all know parties in the sims isn't perfect at all
Mods Mentioned Sasha's Space party mods recommendation TheGoldSims Better Birthday Set Better build buy Zero’s drink on table mod Gala place setting by somik and Sevrinka Surelysims placemat mod OMSP OMSP SHELF Pick up all servings by brazen lotus
WCIF SYB UNICORN COLLECTION Sims 4 ACNH birthday cc BrittPink adopted mods Rex Baby Shower set + Birthday set Platinum Luxe Sims wall letters* (I saw on Platinum Luxe's website, you have to contact them atm) Dreamteamsims birthday Anye Party Inabadromance birthday Happy birthday sign by simmerkate Birthday photoshoot set by simmerkate SG5150 (idk the link for the party banner if you know pls help)
The Sims gallery to follow miss_frogstar (food rooms)
It is best to prepare in advance, so things fall into place by the time the event is set up for you in game. Thank you to all the simmers who helped me create this bday party, CC, Mod creators💕

thinking about how tessa and jem will throw kit the coolest 18th birthday party in town; balloons everywhere, a huge cake with bi colours and oh! hats! they will definitely have birthday hats! and they’ll hire simon and his band to play all his fav songs, put up a bouncy castle in the garden bc they know that despite being of age, kit will love it (he’s a kid at heart) and they for sure will scream the happy birthday song with mina the loudest while kit covers his face, blushing with embarrassment (but he secretly loves it so so much) <3
#he’s just… never felt so much love :(#i doubt johnny did much for his birthday (if he even did anything at all)#so all the attention must be a tad bit overwhelming but kit feels so soft being surrounded by everyone he loves so its okay#i just want his to have a HUGE party that everyone at his school is jealous of😌#bc he deserves it dammit!!!!#kit herondale#tessa gray#jem carstairs#mina carstairs#jem x tessa#jessa#the dark artifices#the wicked powers#the infernal devices#tda#twp#tid#tsc

In the beloved children’s story by Roald Dahl, the golden ticket holders who won a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory were promised – and experienced – “a world of pure imagination”.
But children hoping for a similar magical experience at a £35-a-head event in Glasgow instead found what their parents described as an “incredibly underwhelming” damp squib.
Some of the children who had travelled from across Scotland and the north of England to Willy’s Chocolate Experience in Glasgow ended up in tears. The all-weekend event was abruptly cancelled only halfway through its first day, and police were called as anger grew.
Organisers House of Illuminati promised visitors a “journey filled with wondrous creations and enchanting surprises at every turn” and a day “where dreams come to life”.
The advertised attractions included an “enchanted garden” with giant sweets and an “imagination lab” that promised to transport the viewer into “the realm of creativity”.
But parents expecting the experience to recreate the magic of Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory were hugely disappointed.
Visitors said the event took place in a venue that was little more than “an abandoned empty warehouse” sparsely decorated with plastic props, a small bouncy castle and backdrops pinned to walls.
The furious reaction from parents prompted the organisers to close the event midway through Saturday, only hours after it had opened.
Police Scotland confirmed that officers were called to the event at the Box Hub Warehouse in Whiteinch, and said “advice was given” following complaints from unhappy visitors. House of Illuminati published an apology on its Facebook page and promised refunds over the coming days.
Visitor Shirley Bell wrote: “We had tickets for 1.15pm and didn’t even get in. They have shut it down as so many complaints. Apparently a few props and a couple of people dressed up and then wait for a packet a sweets and a wee lolly.
“Kids all dressed up and crying waiting for what they thought was going to be a magical experience. The organisers should be ashamed of themselves.”
Stuart Sinclair, 29, from Douglas, South Lanarkshire, took his two sons and four-year-old daughter to the attraction.
He told the Courier newspaper: “There was a guy wandering around apparently dressed as Willy Wonka but he didn’t seem interested. You then got inside and there were a couple of props and a plastic chocolate thing.
“In the next room, they had test tubes with jelly babies. I said to the kids at least they would get a bag of sweets but they gave them one single sweet each.”
Another parent posted on Facebook: “What an absolute farce, two upset kids. Cowboys.”
Eva Stewart, of East Kilbride, told BBC Scotland: “It was basically advertised as this big massive Willy Wonka experience with optical illusions and big chocolate fountains and sweets.
“But when we got there, it was practically an abandoned, empty warehouse, with hardly anything in it.”
A Facebook group was set up by those left angry and disappointed by the experience.
The Box Hub venue said it had only hired out the space and was not responsible for the exhibition.
Matthew Waterfield, the operations manager, told The Scottish Sun that House of Illuminati approached the venue a few weeks ago with a plan that “sounded great on paper” but “looked incredibly underwhelming”.
He said visitors “were very unhappy with the amount of money House of Illuminati had been charging for admittance”, adding: “Things started to get quite aggressive.”
In a post on Facebook, a House of Illuminati spokesman said: “Today has been a very stressful and frustrating day for many and for that we are truly sorry.
“Unfortunately, at the last minute we were let down in many areas of our event and tried our best to continue on and push through and now realise we probably should have cancelled first thing this morning instead.
“We fully apologise for what has happened and will be giving full refunds to each and every person that purchased tickets. We planned a fabulous event and it just did not take shape as planned and for that we are truly sorry.”
Glasgow City Council said its trading standards department had received one complaint and people should contact the organiser in the first instance to obtain a refund.

Soo... my best bet is that one of my neighbor's kids has reputation problems in the classroom, lol *(Hiring a bouncy castle this size is the most un-Dutch thing ever)
**(As we usually celebrate kid's bday parties at the local bowling alley at best, or just a short trip to the beach with drinks and fries on a beach terrace)
***(Imagine this to be your childhood party though!!! Not to sound all cynical 🙇♂️😍)

AITA for not giving up the ability to play guitar?
I (dad) along with 3 other dad’s have been trapped in a strange new world and these dicks in purple robs have taken our kids from us.
we got a bunch of jewels that are worth so much money, and we were going to use them to hire mercenaries to storm the castle our kids are being held in, but this dude pretended to be me and stole the jewels from us. he lead us to his bouncy castle where we had to answer riddles, and then play truth or dare or else he was going to throw the jewels in a bottomless pit.
for context he’s doing this because we killed his cousin so i guess this is maybe psychological torture on his part?
my friend H had to answer which one of his sons he liked more, and he refused so 5 jewels went in the pit. my challenge was to lose all ability to play guitar (i’m a touring rockstar that’s how i earn money to support my kid) instead of being a rockstar i would become the dj for a lincoln park cover band. i refused that’s fucking lame i’m a rockstar that’s who i am but everyone’s like “put your pride aside become a dj we have to save our kids.”
so aita?

The Megumi-Is-10 Incident
General Audiences | Family fluff, Megumi being a little shit
"What do you want for your birthday, Megs?"
"Dunno."
"Books?"
"Nah."
"Toys?"
"I've already got toys."
"Trip? Maybe to the zoo, or the aquarium, or-"
"I don't wanna go anywhere with you."
"You could go with Tsumiki, if you wanted. Or Shoko, or Nanami. Anyone, really."
Megumi seemed to be thinking about it; Gojo did his best not to feel offended. No kid really liked their parents, right?
"Nah," was what Megumi settled on.
"Gumi, we only have a week. I'm begging you, tell me what you want for your birthday."
"Anything's fine."
Gojo sighed. He could feel a migraine coming on.
"Cake? Do you want chocolate or something?"
"Confetti cake."
"Aha! Now we're getting somewhere!" Gojo wracked his brain for any previous mention of confetti cake, only to come up blank. It should be fine, right? Google was free. "Alright, so what presents do you want with your confetti cake?"
"Dunno."
Back to the cycle of doom.
----------- OR: Megumi's turning ten, Gojo searches for the Ultimate Present, and we all wish we were part of the Gojo-Fushiguro house
"What do you want for your birthday, Megs?"
"Dunno."
"Books?"
"Nah."
"Toys?"
"I've already got toys."
"Trip? Maybe to the zoo, or the aquarium, or-"

"Nah," was what Megumi settled on.
"Gumi, we only have a week. I'm begging you, tell me what you want for your birthday."
"Anything's fine."
Gojo sighed. He could feel a migraine coming on, but if he didn't get an answer now then Megumi wouldn't be getting anything for his birthday, and that was not how the Gojo-Fushiguro house worked.
Gojo was ready to get down on his hands and knees to implore this kid to give him something, anything, to work with. So far he had: 1) confetti cake, 2) dinosaurs, but only when they're pink (?) and not when they're made of plastic, and 3) Tsumiki had to be there. So, in other words, he had nothing. Nothing at all.
"Okay, well, think about it and get back to me, 'kay?"
Megumi nodded, apathetic look never leaving his face. It was almost as if he was trying to tell Gojo to give up and crawl back into his bedroom in defeat.
Well, he'd always liked a challenge.
"What do you think I should get Megumi for his birthday?"
Tsumiki looked a little like she'd been ambushed, but Gojo didn't have time to feel bad. He only had a few days left to get Megumi The Ultimate Birthday Present - and it had to be way better than the one he got last year. (To be fair, last year had been a genuine disaster, when the dude he'd hired to dress like a dinosaur and play with Megumi suddenly burst into tears halfway through Megumi's lecture on why his costume was biologically incorrect.)
"Uhhh...." Tsumiki paused to think. "Stuff for his dogs, maybe?"
"What, like dog toys?"
"Yes? Or beds or something. He's really attached to them."
Okay. That worked, but wasn't really impressive - plus, he didn't want to encourage Megumi to get too attached to the dogs in case they got destroyed later down the line.
"Anything...bigger?"
"Well, he'll like what other kids like, right? Bouncy castle? Slide? Disney princess?"
Gojo tried to imagine Megumi playing on a bouncy castle as Cinderella sang about mice and birds and stuff. It didn't really compute. He could almost see the black cloud of disappointment forming over Megumi's head as Cinderella hit the high note.
"I'll think about. Thanks, Miki."
"No problem."
A bouncy castle could work, if it was dog-claw proof, Gojo supposed. Megumi was less impressed by present worth and more impressed by present usefulness (see the time when he'd stared down a DS, and then reached for the ball of string next to it - a gag gift Gojo bought at the last minute), but a bouncy castle could be passed off as a training thing or something. That way, Gojo could take pictures of Megumi Being A Kid and he would be none the wiser until his 18th, when the photo albums would come out.
A sudden image of Megumi attacking the castle with the bread knife flashed through Gojo's mind.
On second thought, no bouncy castle.
"Why is this so hard?" he complained. Tsumiki shrugged and moved towards her bedroom, silently leaving Gojo to his despair. He considered making a list, Nanami-style, but it would be a pretty useless since he had no ideas. At all. Besides, Megumi, determined to be as unhelpful as possible, had purposely looked out every written memo of Gojo's ideas and written 'don't want it' across them in the wonky letters characteristic of a ten-year-old's handwriting.
At this point, Gojo had Questions for whoever raised that kid.
Oh, wait. He raised him.
Whoops.
It was time, Gojo decided, to call in outside help.
"What do you mean, you don't know what to get him for his birthday?" Shoko's voice echoed through the tinny speakers of Gojo's phone.
"I mean, I don't know what to get him for his birthday."
"Isn't he, like, your son?"
"What? No! He's...my ward, or something."
"And that's not the same thing?"
"The only reason I have him is to train him."
"And that's why you're panicking about what to get him for his birthday?"
"Yeah."
"God, you are so stupid. What do you think he'd like?"
"I don't know?! Everything I've thought of he's said no to!"
"What kind of thing did he get before you had him?"
"What?"
"What did he get for his birthday when he was living with Toji?"
"Oh, uh...nothing, I think, 'cause Toji's a bastard who wouldn't even get his own kid a birthday cake."
"So why's Megumi being so picky?"
"You tell me! I can't understand it! It's not like he has a lot of stuff or a lot of birthdays or anything-"
"For one, he does have a lot of stuff, because you keep buying it. Two, maybe he's just uncomfortable? If he's never had a birthday, then he doesn't want to get his hopes up? Or maybe he doesn't want you to feel like you have to get a lot of stuff? Or-"
"He has had a birthday. Two, in fact. And they were both amazing, in my opinion."
"Didn't he make that dinosaur dude cry?"
"Okay, okay, I get it. Thanks, I guess."
"You aren't welcome. I expect repayment."
"In the form of an invite to Gumi's birthday?" Gojo offered hopefully.
"In the form of alcohol. Now go buy a birthday present or whatever."
Gojo huffed as she hung up, already counting how much money he was set to lose to Shoko's expensive tastes. An invite to Megumi's birthday would have been much easier. And cheaper. And would have made him feel less bad.
"Well, that was useless," he muttered, tempted to throw his phone (still displaying Shoko's icon) across the room in frustration. "What, so he doesn't want too much? Then why'd he mention confetti or whatever it was?"
He was almost ready to just march into Megumi's room and announce you're getting a mansion for your birthday, Megs! just to prove Megumi didn't have to hold back on the presents. Could he afford a mansion? Probably not, especially not at this time of year. That wasn't the point. The point was, if Megumi asked, he could have one. Gojo would find a way.
(Was Megumi really just a ward?)
"Satoru?" a small voice interrupted his thoughts. Gojo turned, spotting Megumi in the doorway.
"Hey, Gumi. Need something?"
"Uh...."
Realising Megumi's head was craned right back to look at him, Gojo crouched down until they were face-to-face. It seemed to ease Megumi a little, who reached out to pull at one of Gojo's long fingers. "I heard your phone call."
"Oh?" Gojo inclined his head. "Any ideas?"
"I mean, I heard you say . . . I'm just here to train."
Ah.
"Oh, Megs, you know you live here. This is your home now."
"What about when you aren't training me anymore?"
"Megumi, when you are old and you go to Jujutsu Tech and you move into the dorms and make friends, you can still come hang out with me-"
"I don't mean that! You- you'll be far away then. You won't be my- my dad anymore."
Gojo's chest hurt. It was true, his legal guardianship of Megumi would terminate when Megumi passed into the Principal's hands, but Megumi didn't know that. Megumi was talking in emotional terms, and Gojo had had no idea this entire time.
"No, no, it's not like that. If you really-" he took a deep breath. "If you really see me as your- dad, then that's what I'll always be. Pinky promise."
"Pinky promise?" Megumi turned Gojo's hand to link their pinkies.
"Yeah. Pinky promise."
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIIIRTHDAY DEAR MEGUMIIIIIIII~ HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOOOOOOOOU!"
"Shut up," Megumi grouched, the tips of his ears turning red. Gojo cackled.
"Oh, come on, Gumi! It's your birthday! The big one-zero~"
"It's not that big of a deal." Megumi clambered into his seat at the dinner table, eyeing the single present with suspicion. "What's this? It's not a bomb, is it?"
"You ever seen a bomb shaped like this?" Gojo argued, waving the flat package at him. "Come onnnn, open itttttt-"
"I will, I will!"
Megumi started undoing the sellotape excruciatingly slowly, probably just to spite Gojo, who liked to rip the paper off fast.
"Come on, Gumi! We don't have all day!"
"It's Saturday. We do have all day."
"And you want to spend it all opening one present? You're not gonna have any time for Tsumiki's!"
Helpfully, Tsumiki rattled the box she was holding.
"Okay, okay," Megumi relented, ripping the paper a little so he could slide the present out. "What's this?" he added, staring at the pile of papers he'd unwrapped.
"Read it," Tsumiki encouraged.
"Megumi Fushiguro," Megumi read slowly. "Legal....what?"
Gojo nodded patiently and pointed to the next word. "Can you read that? It's quite difficult."
"I can," Megumi insisted. "Adop....shun.... papers. What are these?"
"Read it again."
Megumi's eyes scanned the page again, carefully sounding everything out under his breath. "Adoption?!" he breathed, eyes shining. "You're gonna be my dad?!"
"I already am, Megs, but this makes it all legal and stuff. You just have to write your name in the space, there."
"I don't have a pen!" Megumi panicked, snapping his head frantically to look at Tsumiki. "I can't sign it!"
"It's okay, Megumi," she comforted. "I have one."
Megumi grabbed it, turning back to the papers. Gojo pointed to the dotted line.
"Here, Megs."
Megumi started tracing his name, letters beginning to tilt slightly but otherwise undeniably his most careful handwriting. As he dotted the last i, Gojo popped confetti aggressively in his face.
"Congrats, Megumi! You are now a Gojo!"
"Ew," Megumi commented, but his smile gave him away. "Can I have cake now?"
"Of course, Gumi. Anything you want."

With the right elements in place, like bounce houses and party rentals, you can ensure a day full of fun, laughter, and smiles. Here’s your ultimate guide to planning the perfect kid’s birthday party with Bouncy Rentals LLC.
1. Choose the Right Theme for the Party
The first step to planning a birthday party is choosing a theme. Here are some popular themes to consider:
Superheroes: Think Batman, Spider-Man, Wonder Woman, and more!
Princesses & Fairytales: Let your child feel like royalty with themed decorations and a bounce house castle.
Sports or Outdoor Adventure: Use a sporty bounce house or interactive games for an action-packed day.
Animals & Nature: Choose a jungle-themed bounce house, with lions, elephants, and more.
Under the Sea: Dive into an ocean-themed event with a water slide combo.
At Bouncy Rentals, we offer a variety of bounce houses and inflatable rentals to match every theme.
2. Select the Perfect Bounce House
The centerpiece of any kid’s birthday party is a bounce house. Here’s how to select the right one:
Size: Make sure the bounce house is big enough for the number of kids expected but still fits in your available space.
Features: Depending on the party’s theme, you may want to select a themed bounce house or one with additional features like slides, obstacle courses, or interactive games.
Safety: Safety should always come first! All our bounce houses at Bouncy Rentals LLC are regularly inspected for safety and sanitation.

4. Plan the Party Timeline
Here’s a basic timeline to help structure your event:
Arrival & Setup (1-2 hours before the party starts): Set up the bounce house, tents, chairs, and tables.
Guest Arrival (15-30 minutes): Greet the kids and parents and start with a welcoming activity.
Activity Time (1.5-2 hours): Let the kids bounce, play, and have fun with the bounce house and other games.
Food & Cake (30-45 minutes): After some fun, it’s time for food, snacks, and the birthday cake.
Party Games & Activities (30-45 minutes): Consider fun party games like musical chairs or a piñata.
Goodie Bags & Thank You (10-15 minutes): Send kids home with goodie bags and thank yous for attending.
5. Decorate the Venue
Transform your party venue into a fun and vibrant space with decorations that match your theme. Some easy-to-use ideas include:
Balloons: A must-have for any birthday party! Consider balloon arches or clusters near the bounce house.
Streamers & Banners: Hang colorful streamers and banners to brighten the space.
Table Settings: Make the party tables look festive with themed tablecloths, plates, and napkins.
6. Plan Food & Refreshments
Food and drinks are essential for a successful party. Here are some kid-friendly options that pair perfectly with a bounce house rental:
Finger Foods: Mini sandwiches, pizza slices, chips, and fruit skewers.
Treats: Cupcakes, cookies, and candy.
Drinks: Juice boxes, water bottles, or punch.
Cake: Don’t forget a cake decorated with your child’s favorite characters or theme!
