The Masked Singer: S11 E7 (Group A Finals/Queen Night)
Tonight, one celebrity will be crowned the Group A winner and go on to the quarterfinals, the other two will be unmasked.
I’m watching on a delay tonight, but have done my best to avoid spoilers. As always, I post before seeing unmaskings, so don’t take my guesses as spoilers.
Ugly Sweater 🧶: Says he inspired everyone from Snoop Dogg to Nirvana. Worked with Tupac. We see a sweater with the 🙏 emoji as well as an ingot of gold labeled “24K”. We see a crying 😭 emoji. His voice still isn’t immediately recognizable to me, but given how many people he’s been an influence on, he’s probably an older singer. I think the internet consensus has been Charlie Wilson from the Gap Band, so I’m tempted to go with that. The bonus clue: Bicycles labeled “Nick”. He says he gave Nick “dating advice”, and considering Nick has about a dozen kids, Nick didn’t forget, either! 😂 Robin seems to think this is Charlie Wilson, too. (The 24K clue seems to confirm it, too, as Charlie was a guest performer on Bruno Mars’ 24K Magic tour.)
Starfish ⭐️: She replaced someone who got fired from a project. A white rabbit toy. Could be a reference to either Joey Fatone (Rabbit in Season 1) or something related to “Alice in Wonderland” or the Jefferson Airplane song “White Rabbit”. The bonus clue: a magician pulling a card reading “Jenny” from Nick’s ear. She says she offered Jenny tickets to her show. So she might be a standup comedian? Ken seems to be going with the internet consensus, Kate Flannery from The Office. I’m not incredibly familiar with that show. I’m stumped.
Goldfish 🐠: The internet consensus is Vanessa Hudgens, I’ve been thinking it’s Carly Rae Jepsen. A map of an island with a question mark on it. She lost her “number 1 supporter”. A witch’s hat. A poster with a rose on it. The bonus clue: “Galileo” bringing a scroll reading “Ken”. She says she’s worked with Ken. It didn’t sound like Hilary Duff. Rita seems to think it’s Vanessa Hudgens, as she lost her father just before she was due to perform in a live TV adaptation of Grease. I think Goldfish ends up winning Group A, so I don’t see her being unmasked just yet.

12th Anniversary!! (it was on Saturday)
Tumblr media
So, if you ever read this series... Original version (because you either used MTL on it, or can speak/understand BR-PT)
Let's talk about some changes!!
The names: Some names were originally in JP and taken ideas from ex-friends and my original co-writer. The new version, i had a help from a beta reader/editor to rename most of the other world's counterparts of the kids. EXCEPT Daisuke's which kept being "Lance", but his nickname became "Dai". Ah, and Ken's, of course.
I'll list every name from the original version and its change out of curiosity:
Helios (Taichi's counterpart) → Saigo
Amis Lupe (Yamato's) → Okami
Sienna (Sora's) → Yaku
Fiorella (Mimi's) → Ai
Diomedes (Koushiro's) → Nesshin
Jason (Jou's) → Omoni
Lance "Dai" Dusktella (Daisuke's) → Lance "Kiseki" Kuroiboshi (i wrote it wrongly in the fic)
Flannery (Miyako's) → Miya/MiyaShurimon (not-so-creative)
Zuzen (Iori's) → IoriArmadimon (again, not creative)
Boniface (Takeru's) → Unmei
Lia → Yami
※ Warlock was the only name i kept unchanged. Just... changed his surname for its actual reference. "Who" is a pun on Ken's first name, which has a similar pronunciation of "Quem" in Portuguese. Hence the joke on Ken's counterpart name.
I don't remember much of the ideas of each name (because i can't access to those ol' convos alas), except for Lia's being the opposite of Hikari (lol) and Lance's nickname being a reference to the Digimental/Crest of Miracles (which was a key point in it)
○ ○ ○
OCs made specifically for this saga: When i was writing it, i not only mixed things i liked (Vocaloid songs, BRS and a Sonic fancomic) -- i also had the help of a co-writer friend to adapt other songs from the Daughter of Evil's story. Keep in mind the new version tried to be a bit divergent from it, while the original was... uh... me and frienddo creating an AU based on it. Y'know, like how we all do.
Such characters were one mine and one of said co-writer. Co-writer's OC was playing Haku's role & song, but with a different finale?
Meanwhile my OC... was playing a very original role! She was tied to Lance's story as some friend he made and later has befriended Lia.
Since I had lost contact with my co-writer to ask for permission for the use of their OC, I decided to cut them out. Said OCs were the counterparts of our actual OCs who would be later introduced in Hinode saga. Again, i cut them & ChibiBunnymon off in the Hinode drabbles version.
○ ○ ○
Some exclusive character changes: The original fic, the very first one, had a white Wormmon and a Puroromon in the cast of characters following Daisuke & V-mon through the labyrinth. They were not related fo Flannery and Dragon Who at all. They were legit digimon kidnapped and forced to recover the "Magic object" at the end of the labyrinth.
○ ○ ○
Some details changed: Originally Warlock was married to Lia, and they weren't going well since Lance's death. Also, since i wrote all of those ages before Kizuna (2010, what a coincidence!), i wasn't using the epilogue versions of the characters and yes... Their 02 (Kids) counterparts. Which is weird who in the world would let two kids marry each other! Well, this was because i was writing this to be more Daisuke seeing his friends in those peeps -- Kinda like what happens to Sonic in the games "Secret Rings" and "Black Knight". Actually SatBK was very very much the core of my inspiration for it 😅 The new version, also written before Kizuna (2013!!), was trying to go by the idea of older versions of them. Also Lia and Lance were no longer twins and she became younger than Lance & Warlock.
Also, at the end of the original arc 3, Daisuke finally meets Mimi's counterpart as the one who offers him a chance of choosing who he would like to be -- himself, or go back to the other world as Lance. This part was totally retconned in the new one as Daisuke does not die in the final battle and it is revealed Fiorella has reborn in the same world as Daisuke's, as Mimi. Said part was based on the mentioned Sonic fancomic, which was one of my favorite scenes in a chapter. In which Sonic gets two options to choose, and he makes his choice from there.
Said scene would later get a replay as some shocking reveal in Hinode, that would be the fact Daisuke-Lance actually chose to return to the other world, and then he would die again by fighting the evil which was consuming his world. This would then send him to another world as Daisuke, and then be involved with the said villains all again to put all the Chosen Children in this fight to save the worlds... Then, resulting in the birth of Dai-Lightnimon Royal Mode. Of course i never finished the OG Hinode and this is all scrapped at this point.
Those are just a few things i remember haha, hope you enjoyed the post!!

Some of my favourite roles of Tanya Allen
Tumblr media
1. Amy Barrett - The Outer Limits
EP - Patient Zero
This is an episode where in 44 minutes they make you feel like you have known the character Amy for a lifeitme. It’s an episode where you can feel sympathy for both characters. The conflict in the episode is a hard/personal once, especially since both Tanya Allen and Michael Rooker play their parts in this episode amazing! The camera angles and music is also very good, there are moments where you are sitting on the edge of your seat hoping what is going to happen next.
2. Percy Montana - Starhunter/Starhunter 2300 & Starhunter Redux
Tumblr media
One of my rolemodels since I was a little girl, and one of the most badass women in Sci-Fi history. Percy is the 18 year old niece of bounty hunter Danté Montana, since their home planet was taken over and people were murderd by the raiders. Danté took 8 year old Percy under his wing and raised her as his own. She is the mechanic of the tulip and without her the tulip and it’s crew would be lost. Percy is a sassy but badass 18 year old who is a perfect mix of serious and loveable and funny.
3. Anna - Silent Hill
Tumblr media
This is a character which we only see 10 minutes into the movie, who then dies in a gruesome way. Anna is one of the Victims of Alessa her curse. She is a young woman who seems to have the mind of a child, who has to survive in the darkness of SIlent Hill. Tanya plays this character so lovely and you feel actually bad for her since she is one of the only victims of Alessa who had nothing to do with her.
4. Lisa - The Outer Limits

I wrote this ode to the beat poets for escapril
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Are these the Kerouac years?
The Ginsberg years?
The down-and-out Orwell years?
Scrapping dirty change from frayed pockets
Begging for paint like Van Gogh.
Are these the years in which the
Dues are paid?
Pains endured at the promise
Of greatness of a pot of gold
At the end of recognition rainbow?
Is the lonely longing languish
The price of the art made,
To magnify the majesty of the very life?
The pain of longing for love
The creeping crawl of pining isolation,
The have nothing, am nothing, do nothing
While the world demands more
Empty your pockets on the counter of progress
Or did the 60's die when Thatcher proclaimed
We the society of individuals?
I look to a clipper lighter
Printed with Ken Kasey bus,
Printed with the words 'Free' 'Soul' 'Adventures'
An electric blue kool-aid psychedelic roadtrip
Now stationary
Unable to go any further.
Printed on lighters
Used to light cigarettes
Rolled from the remnants
Of old cigarette butts
That twice tinged tang
Tastes like poverty.
Smoked in solitary shame
Did the Sunflower sutra died with Ginsberg?
Was it pressed to his chest and
Lowered into a
Coffin?
The rest of us left with a thread bare
Promises of success
Between four walls
Weaving not nearly enough rope
To make ends meet.
Did the Bowery burn down
Like the Globe?
Only no one bothered to rebuild it
Did CBGBs foreclose
Become rebranded
In a Capitalist coupe?
To adorn t-shirts priced more
Than minimum wage allows.
Did we lose the squatters secrets
When the Gay Community Centre closed down?
What if George Orwell had been
In that kitchen
Forever
Burning toast
And being yelled at in French.
Playing the lottery
To buy a ticket out.
Maybe we're too dramatic for
The 'real jobs'
Maybe that's just me.
Maybe we weren't promised
Anything if we just worked hard enough.
Maybe we just got lost.
Maybe we're
The only ones who feel this way.
Maybe we're
Only
Lonely.

Heidi was my favorite part of the show. There were some very funny parts to the show, especially if you are a theater buff. There are about 10 mins of total blackouts, which is mostly a chunk in within the first 13 minutes. Depsite that, a nice capture and the audience was very into the show. There is washout, as it’s a full stage shot, but it is very very watchable. About 8 minutes is missing right before the Act 1 finale. Tootsie - Pre-Broadway / Chicago - September 11, 2018 (Preview) (SunsetBlvd79's master) FORMAT:  MP4 (HD) CAST: Santino Fontana (Michael Dorsey/Dorothy Michaels), Lilli Cooper (Julie Nichols), Andy Grotelueschen (Jeff Slater), Sarah Stiles (Sandy Lester), John Behlmann (Max Van Horn), Julie Halston (Rita Marshall), Reg Rogers (Ron Carlisle), Michael McGrath (Stan Fields), Anthony Wayne, Britney Coleman, Diana Vaden, Drew King, Harris Milgrim, James Moye, Jeff Kready, John Arthur Greene, Katerina Papacostas, Leslie Donna Flesner, Paula Leggett Chase, Shina Ann Morris NOTES: Excellent HD capture of the first PreBroadway preview performance. Many changes and direction from the out of town tryout.
