9: Are there any fics you’d love to see but don’t want to write yourself? What are they?

i would really love a long reverse robins jaytim fic that really explores jasons obsession with tim in the new circumstances, because i feel his weird fixation on tim would actually make more sense if tim was his predecessor. i think this would be even more fun if it takes forever for tim to clock how weird jason is about him because tims just like "yeah thats how i was about damian. its normal to look at your predecessor like that, especially for jason bc he never met me before and only knows me through stories framed by a biased party (bruce/damian/alfred/etc etc)" and everyone is like "okay first off, you weren't normal about damian in any sense of the word but thats a whole other conversation"

i rly rly love reverse robins aus, but i feel like when other people write them, no matter how fantastic or how much i love them, there always ends up being one little detail that im like "hrm." and thats not to diss on any of those fics because i do still rly like them, theyre just obviously that authors vision and not mine- so the answer would be to actually write the au myself right?

except i would go too hard lmao. theres So Much to explore that it kind of overwhelms me. which means even more congrats are in order to the authors who DO write those aus. seriously its soooo much consideration for how it changes the universe and the characters and their relationships.

so yeah tldr, in-depth jaytim reverse robins cause a lot of reverse robins aus arent batcest but im too overwhelmed by the enormity of how the change domino effects to attempt my own

A/n: I do not have a limit onto how many you could send. But it will take a while as I'm a slow writer and have writers block sometimes😂.

A/N: ALSO IF YOU REQUEST FROM THE SHOW I AM ALMOST DONE I AM ONLY 4 EPISODES IN SO PLEASE DONT REQUEST SPOILERS AND THANK YOU.

Summary: The reader finds out she is pregnant and is trying to find the perfect time to tell Jay and their friends.

WARNINGS: UNDERAGED SEX(I DO NOT WANT ANY OF YOU TEENS GETTING PREGGO) ALWAYS!!!! USE PROTECTION KIDDIES! CURSING, fluff.

It was just a normal day in Point Place Wisconsin. Jay Kelso was with his girlfriend and their friends as they were listening to Nate.

"Man, you're such a dillhole!" Y/n exclaimed from Jay's lap.

"I am not! I mean, c'mon, dude. you can't seriously think that breakfast club is better than Teen Wolf!" (The Michael J. Fox one).

Everyone groans as the two teenagers continued their argument.

"Leia. You agree with me, right?" The young Foreman stammered as she plugged her fingers in her ears.

"I CANT HEAR ANYTHING! LALALA!" Y/n rolls her eyes at the child.

"Babe?" Jay quickly got up from the couch and ran upstairs.

"You wusse!" Y/n shouted from her seat.

"Alright, fine. Their is only one way to settle this." The room went silent as y/n held a smirk on her lips.

Time skip...

They ended up watching both movies. Towards the scene of the movie where Molly Wringwald had sushi, y/n's stomach began to churn. She quickly gets up from Jay's lap as she finds her to wait to the shower in the basement.

"Woah, baby." Jay was quickly at her side holding back her hair as she hurled.

"I'm fine." She promised.

"You've been puking the last three weeks!" Gwen quickly rushed to my side as she feels my forehead.

"What the hell are you doing?" I swat her hand off of me.

"Did you get bit by a zombie? I mean, in most movies, or shows, man, you get bit you puke." Nate comments.

"No!"

"Maybe the Chinese from last night?"

"No! No!"

"Maybe-"

"I'm pregnant, damn it."

The room went silent. Jay Kelso was in utter shock.

"You knocked her up!" Leia was the first to break the silence.

"I thought-' y/n shakes her head.

"We did. But, sometimes, it doesn't always save you." Y/n bites her bottom lip.

"I can't believe it!" Jay exclaimed, throwing the smaller girl into his arms.

"You're not mad?" Jay shakes his head.

"Why would I be mad? It takes two to have a baby." Jay leans forward and plants his lips against yours.

"Party time!" Gwen exclaimed, as she went towards the radio and play some rock music.

The gang all danced as they were celebrating a new Kelso to the family.

ik no one watches That 90s Show and That 70s Show was so long ago its obscure anymore, but I have to talk about the parallels between Leia and Gwen and Eric and Donna and how that just fuels my ship for them more. Leia having Eric's old room and Gwen having Donna's old room, and them sitting in the same spots in the basement. There's so many parallels don't get me wrong I LOVE Jay but Leia and Gwen would be so cute together

i feel like the writers fumbled a bit with Jay’s character but I think it can be easily fixed:

(most of these revolve around if him and leia stay together) first when him and leia first address sex, which is likely to be next season as that’s when she’ll be 16, i think he should reveal he’s actually never had sex because of what his mum says it did to her and his dads relationship and how his dad accidentally knocked up brooke and he doesn’t want to put a girl in brooke’s position but he lets everyone assume he has had sex because of his family reputation and he thinks if he goes along with it because he’ll look ‘cool’. i also think it would be good if maybe he didn’t want to have sex while leia did because he didn’t want to change their relationship, this would also be a good time to reintroduce betsy as his half sister and have jay phone her up for advice because although i think he relies on his mom a lot i don’t think he’d go to one of his parents about sex. i also think theyre dumbing him down a bit to be another kelso and i think they should let him grow into his own, not particularly be the smartest but have a basic grasp of the world around him. finally i think he was a little too lovey dovey ‘stab me in the heart if i ever even imagine a life without you’ with leia and suddenly switched up in the last episode and was like ‘it only makes sense to break up’. i feel like the best way to go from there is have the relationship basically build up from scratch again next season. maybe they lost contact over the year and when they come back maybe nate and nikki are in a rough patch so leia has her eye on nate a bit and doesn’t catch herself being drawn back to jay until suddenly she wants him again and then they can sort of build up again and this time they aren’t all refusing to let go of each others hands head over heels in love but a bit more low key.

i loved the teaser trailer honestly, season 2 looks so good i cannot wait! i dont get what you mean by a canon continuation. they referenced the original show a bunch last season i thought (i haven't seen the whole thing tho)

T9S erases the fact Kelso has a daughter, Betsy, who would have been 16 in season 1 of T9S. It erases Hyde (while I dislike that choice, I understand it). It erases essentially everything after Jackie tricks Kelso proposing to her at the end of S4, except for Fez having worked at a hair salon and becoming Jackie's boyfriend at the end of season 8.

T9S aged up Eric, Donna, Jackie, etc. so them having teenagers in 1995 makes sense. And so much more!

The comprehensive retconning of T7S to make T9S work means T9S is an AU of T7S, not canon. T9S has its own internal canon, however, separate from T7S.

After I processed my myriad feelings about the above, I have room to enjoy T9S for what it is instead of constantly comparing it to T7S. Doesn't mean I don't wish the writers would have used the opportunity to correct the wrongs of T7S S8, but c'est la vie.

I'm looking forward to next season!

hi!! so I honestly feel like i'm completely lost on what I think is happening in the future? if you're asking for predictions, sadly idt I have any other than I think that they're hinting at #that ship getting together in pt 3, which makes little to zero sense considering they spent no time on them whatsoever. people rly building this nothing ass ship up over a SINGLE Convo they had....and by people, this allegedly includes the writers!! (callie hinting she's team n*ia is not a shock by any means whatsoever since she and max are close, but still smh)

headcanons that i'm choosing to believe tho? here's a couple of fun ones!

leia gets super into the idea of rock music (which in her mind, is anything not super pop/mainstream) and wants to impress gwen so they have more in common and asks jay to teach her to play the guitar! (she is rly bad. to everyone else. he thinks she is rly good.)

donna loves jay, which infuriates eric. she's charmed by him and sees how much he genuinely adores leia. eric doesn't gaf. that is michael kelso's son and casey kelso's nephew. its such a passionate hate that red finds himself sticking up for jay, has an existential crisis over what just came out of his mouth, and also gives eric an existential crisis bc if RED is defending a KELSO, he must actually be okay.

leia frets over what to do for jay for his birthday for legitimately a full month prior. she talks gwen's ear off, ozzie forbids her from bringing up the word "jay" in front of him. like its bad for her. she attempts to throw him a party at that cute lil place in the forest they go in s1 (i think was the same place in s2?) but it's literally the biggest failure w everything going wrong in typical sitcom fashion and she leaves crying bc she is so sad :( episode ends with them watching a movie in the basement snuggling on the couch and jay telling her it's his best bday ever!!

Headcanon time!

Even when she gets past her commitment issues, Betsy still doesn’t believe in marriage nor does she want to be a mother, because she doesn’t want to settle down nor does she think that marriage is needed for a relationship to last forever.

Leia: What do even you have against marriage?

Betsy: Nothing. I just think that being with someone forever doesn’t require having a ring on your finger.

Hi @tophsazulas ! Thanks for the question!

I think thanks to fanfic I could say that I ship them a little more than I did after first watching the series. They do have a lot in common and I do think Red would maybe be happier with Leia dating Nate than a Kelso lol Plus Nate is a good kid, not that Jay isn't but think Jay has more of the 'player' reputation and Nate we know has just dated Nikki.

I do have a upcoming oneshot that gives a little bit of Nate/Leia but I haven't written anything for the two of them just yet.

Think season 2/part 2 will give us a lot more Nate and Leia scenes whether romantic or not tho!

some people are annoyed at SNW (idk if it's a thing on tumblr tho) because everyone just keeps using first names with each other, therefore the ship is loosing the professional feeling, but like it was that way at the beginning of TOS as well

Kirk: Gary, Lee (Kelso) (helmsman), Mark (doctor), Sam (a random gym guy in Charlie X who was never seen again), Ben (Finney)

Sulu: Johnny (Mudd's Women), Joey (Naked Time), Janice, Kevin (Riley; Naked Time) [Sulu was extremely friendly and just got along well with everyone]

there was more of a communal, friendly atmosphere, Kirk and Spock, together or separately, hanging out with the crew in the rec room at the beginning of s1, the crew hanging out, which slowly stopped being the case when Spock became popular with the viewers, and Sulu and Uhura were never given first names

Pike using Erika and La'an and Nyota isn't making him unprofessional. Kirk was using first names, initially, then... there were just not recurring characters he could use first names with around (plus, he had a special nickname for McCoy, and used Scotty with Scott, even though most people did)
