Red Hood Incorrect Quotes Pt 29
Leslie: Jason, it's actually not that serious. I just need you to stay calm, okay?
Jason: Yeah I'm just gonna stay angry, I find that relaxes me.
[At an auction, Jason's in disguise]
Bane: Five million.
Jason, with fake accent: Five million and one dollar.
Bane: Six million.
Jason: Six million and one dollar.
Bane: Seven million
Jason: Seven million and one dollar.
Bane: Who is this man?
Jason: Who is this man and one dollar.

This is not exactly a prompt, but, more of an idea... do you guys know @artzychic27 's @so-were-heroes 's AU where all musical characters are around the same age, go to the same class and get a miraculous?
Imagine something like that... but with Original Disney Channel series protagonists! Like, Teddy from Good Luck Charlie, Liv and Maddie, K.C. Cooper, Harley Diaz (Stuck in the Middle), Cyd and Shelby (Best friends whenever), Paige and Frankie (Bizaardvark), Maya and Riley (Girl Meets World, although, maybe this one isn't a good idea).
And the ones from the older generation (Miley Stuart, Alex Russo and Zack and Cody) could be teachers.
If there isn't enough cast, maybe, thrown even some Nicklodeons shows there too: Drake and Josh, Icarly, Victorious, Every Witch Way, the Thudermans, Haunted Hatwhays, 100 things to do, and so on... (although, maybe this one deserve it's own AU).
I don't know, I just think it would be neat.

heyy i'm that one anon that asked for your fav show. I guess uh, you can call me 🌷 anon? bc i like pink which might seem basic since I'm a girl but nvm
so as for my fav show, I also love blue lock but I mostly stay with the manga- not exactly a huge fan of the anime. I also like saiki k, inuyasha (though I haven't finished both animes), komi can't communicate and demon slayer but tbh, I have not watched anime in some time bc life gets in the way yk
anyways, when I ask for your fav shows, I meant like, shows that has real people starring in it or do you not watch shows like that? if so, that's fine, it feels like almost every shows these days get cancelled after 1 season
Dont be ashamed to like pink. Pink is not a basic colour, but a pretty one. Pink is a pretty color for a pretty girl like you. ;}
Dont you ever feel shy or brushing it away for something you like, got that?
Also about Blue lock, I feel you. The manga is just more dramatic!! The anime is just...idk...weird, but not in a weird way, I just like the manga version more, just like you do.
Komi cant communicate and demon slayer, along woth Sailing k is something I'd really like to watch, along with inuyasha, but in my last year of high school I dont have the fricking tiiiiimeeee, however, writing for requests is something like a cool down for me.
Also 🌷 anon, I totally feel you with life. Haven't even gotten to read the latest updates of blue lock.
And also thank you for explaining what you meant with the real people.
1. K.C. undercover is what I loved to watch, Zendaya did a great job starring K.C. .
2. The Thundermans, I really loved the show, it's a must to watch.
3. Henry danger, it is also pretty cool!!!
4. BELLA AND THE BULLDOGS OH MY GOD
5. Noobees? Do you know the show?
The fourth one is my absolute favourite. Dunno if you know these shows, but I am absolutely whipped for them.
So yeah. These were the shows I grew up with, I love them all very much, noobees not so much, but the rest, yeah.
I hope this answered your question better, 🌷 anon!!
If you have more questions, feel free to ask!!!

Fun Fact: Disney Channel's first gay couple was in K.C. Undercover. In Season 2 Episode 20, K.C. has to lie about her mom to the man wearing pink, and she put on a mom costume. Unannounced to her, her best friend, Marisa, also decided to dress up as her mom. The man was confused as to how K.C. could have two moms.
This is how Disney Channel (and maybe also Disney) had their first gay couple (although a not real one, made to get some laugh). If this was made before 2016 and wasn't co-produced by Zendaya, this scene might not have even happened, even to get laughs.

Sokka: I'm here to pick up Azula for our date.
Ozai: And you came dressed in jeans and a T-shirt? Haven't you ever heard of the expression dress to impress?
Sokka: We're going to a Kaui ball game.
Ozai: Hm. Very well. *lets him in*
Ozai: Look here. I like you son. Always have.
Ozai: But if you break my daughter's heart one more time, I will break you.
Sokka, laughing nervously: Mr. Sozin, actually she was the one who broke my heart.
Ozai: And you came back for more? What's wrong with you boy? Get some self-respect and move on!
Ursa: Ok! What my husband is trying to say is have a nice time.
Sokka: Thank-
Ursa: But if Azula's not home by 11 you're gonna be in jail by 12.
Ozai: Have you ever been to jail boy?
Ursa: I don't think he has.
Azula, coming downstairs: Mom! Dad! *getting between them and Sokka* I do not need you to embarrass me in front of my date! I can do that all on my own!
Sokka, nervous: Should we just-

On that same note, producers and studios (infamously Disney) will make a show with a biracial black girl lead, choose the lightest mixed girl in the crowd, make 4 episodes that follow the same plot line and message: No one is affected or suffers more from anti-blackness and racism than the biracial black girl. There’s always 4 scenarios:
The entire episode revolves around her being “too white for the black kids” and “too black for the white kids” and ends the episode with the message “everyone deserves to have a space to be themselves!”
It’s a black history month episode and a local big company (with an entire team of white office men on site) is trying to take down a black historical statue/building (the statue in question is always either MLK or Rosa Parks. I remember one show that had a Jackie Robinson statue.) to build a mall/apartment complex and the girl lead is leading an entire protest crowd of black people (“For Black solidarity ✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿!”) (even though there’s like only 6 black kids in her school, and will never show up in another episode after this), with a megaphone and standing on top of a bench. And just as the statue is about to go down (with the bulldozer 3 centimeters away and the crowd right behind the statue), a black city official (like a mayor or something) stops the demolition by saying “Stop✋🏾”. He gives an entire “this is black history and our culture blah blah blah” speech that literally does nothing and the episode ends on the message that “we must celebrate black history everyday because black history is American history.”
The mixed girl says something really racist towards her (singular) dark skin friend that she didn’t “know” was racist (that’s a lie) and the entire episode is about her being educated about what she said was racist, from her white friends, to her black mother. The episode ends with her apologizing to her dark skin friend and the dark skin friend will also apologize for “overreacting” (they didn’t, the reaction was an appropriate response to something racist said to you, especially since it came from someone who you are close to.) (And the response in question was just them saying “what you just said was really hurtful and offensive.”/“I don’t think we can be friends after this, now that you said that.”)
The mixed girls cousins, who is a monoracial black kid, and family (who come from her mom’s side) visits for the weekend and while they’re there, the family bonds and talks about black music, cook soul food, have a random discussion about the civil rights movement (for the producers to show their audience that they “care” about black history) and talk in AAVE, and their family history, all while her white father awkwardly stands off to side. She has a emotional moment about how she didn’t know any of this before and ask her mom why she didn’t tell her. Her mom comes under fire for not teaching her daughter about black culture (from her sister mind you, because sister drama is very important) and her mom goes on about how all she wanted was for her daughter to feel like she belongs in the same spaces white people are in (in short, her black mother abandoned black culture when really, black women and mothers are the last people to abandon or not teach their kids about black history and culture.) The episode goes on and it brings up black topics like slavery, the civil rights movement, MLK, Rosa, Jackie, black people in STEM, etc. etc. and by the end, she feels really educated about black history and culture and now feels like she really is “apart” of her people.
And you know who really eats these episodes up every time? The non-black audience members. They love it every time. They (white critics) praise the show for bringing up the topics that every child who is growing up in today’s world should know about (look at Florida). All the while, the shows with a black girl lead around Chine Anne McClain skin tone were (and still are) criticized for even daring to bring up the subject and it doesn’t belong on a kids show and shouldn’t be mentioned,
“Just let the kids be kids, they shouldn’t have this black history and culture nonsense shoved in their faces🙄😡. It’s a children’s show, something they can watch after school or on Saturday mornings. When I was a kid, these topics were brought up in history class and taught by the parents, it wasn’t a shows job to educate kids about black people, and it will never be. Let them kids have their television free of this ‘black people and history is important’ nonsense 🤬🖕!”
(No fucking joke, this was an actual instagram comment under a Disney post about celebrating black history month and black voices.)
“How could we possibly make a monoracial Black girl character as the main lead though 🥺? She can’t be funny AND into fashion, that’s unrealistic and won’t appeal to the kids!”
That’s So Raven and True Jackson VP are literally right there, but ok
#“Disney and their bullshit#mixed black girl lead and it’s Zendaya 🤕#the Zendaya stray😭#no joke I love her and everything she does#it’s just that every time Disney had a show with a black family#or black girl lead she was there#She was a victim on K.C. undercover and Shake it up#people hate black peope and black media as usual 🫠#nothing new#sorry for long reblog response 😔
