i literally love that seasons one and two are about two brothers getting reacquainted and getting to know each other as people for maybe the first time. but also dean knows exactly which alias sam would use with a random phone company and sam doesn’t know dean is afraid of flying

a. dean always gets the time travel eps bc his archetype is anachronistic
b. dean quotes 'blazing saddles', dresses up as a tacky costume party version of a cowboy, and calls himself Clint Eastwood in Frontierland; he's reciting their own mythos back to them (and they don't even recognize it)
c. in Time After Time dean quotes 'the untouchables' to actual real Elliot Ness, the guy the movie was based on, and later, when Elliot Ness chastises him for hitting a witness (played for laughs obviously), he says "what? I learned it from watching you." which is something a son says to his father in an anti-narcotics PSA in the 80s. positioning Elliot Ness as father. and furthermore. he didn't learn shit from watching Elliot Ness he learned it from watching the distorted movie parody of Elliot Ness. he's parodying a parody.
d. in In the Beginning Dean talks young John into buying the impala instead of the van he was abt to buy, bc vans are lame and gay, obviously and the Impala is cool and masc and will still be cool and masc in 40 years. "my dad taught me everything I know." he is teaching his father how to construct his own mythos in real time. dean (parody of john's masculinity) is teaching his own father how to be masculine. ouroboros. reciting his own mythos back to him. as he looks on in blank incomprehension.

Had a dream last night that human souls and Angels were both made from stardust. So the reason Angels can only use certain vessels was because, at the beginning of creation (i.e the big bang), the humans soul was made from the same stardust as the Angel. The human soul imbues their cells with that stardust, which makes the body a habitable vessel for the Angel because it is, on an atomic level, made from that Angel. which imo fucks harder than anything in canon.

Godstiel but he was crazy horny and obsessed with Dean. Going around preaching the good word of Dean and reading from the Winchester Gospel (supernatural books). He’d put Dean Winchester on all the stained glass windows and replace Jesus on the Crucifix with Dean on the Rack.

Truly crazy on the Kill Your Dad show (Supernatural) for them to state outright that the one thing that would soil your body so bad that your soul wouldn't be able to stuffed back in is. Patricide. Including your found family papa. Like. That's crazy. This is a show where they've killed kids with no repercussions but the thing that would Stain You Forever is taking down the patriarch.

dean should've gone on more killing sprees but like specifically in cas' behalf. mark of cain dean definitely should've been hunting down angels to steal their grace to feed to cas
