Ok I have thoughts about Mark and his dad.

(Warning probably kinda dark/heavy stuff, pretty much what was in the play)

ok so (this might be long)

We know that Marks mother died and it’s alluded to that Marks father was responsible because he was DUI and crashed.

The play is set in New Jersey, and if that’s where this occurred then the charge for vehicular manslaughter while DUI is apparently 5-10 years in prison (plus a fine I believe) (Let’s say 10 years for plot reasons >:))

Marks father mentions that Mark lives with him, but also that he was 7 at the time of the incident.

Surely Mark would have gone to live with family or been put into foster care, and probably had a lot of complicated feelings about his father- so how did he end up living with him after he got released?

Personally I’ve been thinking that Mark just felt responsible for his father, he was notified that he got released, went and picked him up and then took him home so that he could live with him.

I wonder if the guilt of what marks father had done, killing his wife and leaving his son without parents, had taken a toll on his mind. I wonder if when he got out of prison if he was a wreck or if he was doing better, but slowly it crept back up on him.

I wonder if Mark had gone to visit him when he was a kid and hated his father for what he’d done, or if he’d even understood it at all. Maybe he went when he was little, confused and scared because his father who’d always been drunk and possibly abusive was now locked away. He was told he had to go visit him because he was his father, but maybe he didn’t want to. Maybe when he started to understand it all as he got older he stopped going, and then when his dad got out he was the one who reached out to Mark.

Maybe Mark actually ignored him. He was 17 and hated the man for what he’d done and how he’d acted, and now he wanted to be back in his life?

I like to think that by this point Mark was living on his own, dropped out of school and got a job to support himself to get out of whatever situation he’d been put in.

Maybe his father guilt tripped him. Telling him he had to care about his father- they were blood! Telling him he should care for him because he’d sacrificed everything by going to prison when really it was Marks fault. Telling him lies until he caved and let him stay with him.

Then his father turned back to alcohol, Mark tried to stop him, pouring bottles down the sink. But it wasn’t any use.

And now he’s stuck, trapped back with the man who he never wanted to see again and living half believing that he was the reason for everything that had happened.

i've been told/keep seeing posts about people suddenly not liking when people add tags to their posts with their own thoughts/feelings/opnions/experiences, and even people that say not to tag with certain common organizational tags (like ships for example i see the most. some people use a ship name for organization purposes and not necessarily for shipping. for example i use "collei and her dads" for cyno, tighnari, collei art for my organization so I cam find them again and theres been a few artists screaming not to use ship tags and that could be seen as a ship tag. so what do i do? not organize your art into my tags and let it get lost and never seen again? not share your art at all? kinda silly but whatever, ill just ignore your art).

I personally think that's all a bit ridiculous....i don't know if that's a more recent thing (like with twitter people coming here suddenly and expecting to act like this is twitter) or if it happened in the years since I took a break from tumblr. but bAcK iN mY DaY we used tags as a little whisper to add our own thoughts without interrupting the main post. adding hard comments or replies was more seen as "too much/too loud" if it wasn't something directly meant for OP. tags were usually never meant for OP and were always for the reblogger and their followers. these days more and more people seem to think tags on their posts are all speaking to them directly or interrupting their post (not to say you can't speak to OP through tags, like i'll say nice things about their art in tags) but not everything in someone's tags on a post they reblog from you is for you! you can ignore it!!!

I know on twitter (where I went after leaving tumblr a while back) people use quote retweets to speak to the OP often. but not always. I sometimes would quote a tweet to add my own thoughts while using the quote as like a citation to credit OP for the idea. but I have a few times where the OP thought I was speaking to/about them and got very upset about it. one was a large account who quoted me back and got very nasty and sent their minions after me. quotes are louder than tumblr tags. so that's more understandable, and I was always very hesitant to do it, but I personally see indirect tweets about another post as extremely rude and posting screenshots of tweets on twitter is also rude.

I loved coming back here mainly for the tag system! I missed being able to share a post and also quietly add my thoughts. go on long rambles related to the main post without stealing their post completely or needing to make a whole new post. I know most old tumblr users get that and don't care, probably. I NEVER saw anyone complain about it in the past. only say how much they love it. it was just part of how this site worked for us. a culture thing we naturally created. so i'm assuming it's mostly new users who don't get this culture? it also doesn't help tumblr made it so you now see tags in your notes tab and not just comments added and replies. before, you would have to go to "someone reblogged your post" to see if they added tags because tumblr only showed comments. I personally LOVE when people add tags to my post with their thoughts and stories and whatnot. ai i'd go to every reblog I got to see if there's tags added. it's like an uncommitted interaction. they dont expect a reply, i don't expect a reply. they are isolated thoughts, but still related. it's still a form of interaction, without the pressure of being direct, and I feel seen/heard when they add them. (it means they're not a bot, auto reblogging my posts /hj) seeing tags on my posts i'm not just shouting into the void alone and someone sees me. me adding tags to a post is a gentle "you're not alone/I hear you/im a real person not a bot" from me. but it also could be me saying "your post inspired me! I want to write something too! but im being quiet about it so i dont take away from your post and your post gets all the credit" when I add my own little tag ramble.

so the fact that people are now suddenly being upset by people adding their own experiences and thoughts to tags is super disappointing and and frankly annoying. tags don't take away from your post and you can just ignore them! no one is forcing you to expand the tags in your notes and read them! hardly anyone will see them. most will only read your post and not people's tags! I know no one usually reads my tags because i've added secret messages to the end of my tags and no one ever responds to it lmao things like send a pic in my ask and i'll draw it for you.

yes I know "RESPECT PEOPLE BOUNDARIES" but it kind of disrespects my needs as well. theres a thin line between someone's boundaries being crosses and someone's needs not being met. but that's a whole debate i'm not willing to have so don't start it. (not that kind of boundary is easy to not cross. not bringing up arguments. but asking people to not use a main function of a website is kind of pushing it imo...) yeah I want to respect boundaries the best i can, but unless you say in the post "don't reblog and add your own tags" no one will know and you get upset when no one knows. and no, no one will read your profile/pinned post before reblogging. no one will go to the original post and read your tags. they will only reblog it right off their dash if they aren't seeing it directly from you in the tags/for you page. some people will reblog 100 posts a day. they won't go to every profile/original post before reblogging just to see if you have any special conditions and rules for your random one post out of hundreds they see a day. that's too much to expect, honestly, sorry to say!

but this is tumblr. maybe it's better for people to accept the culture/etiquette here and let it happen without complaining, or realize this isn't the place for them! because it doesn't meet their needs and boundaries! and that's ok! it doesn't have to be your place. you don't need to stay here if you don't like how it works! asking an entire website to "respect your boundaries" by not participating in a basic or essential function of the website is a little ridiculous to be fair....

no i'm not saying your boundaries don't deserve to be respected. i'm saying this probably isn't the place to have those boundaries in the first place. because there's am established way this site functions that works in counter to your wanted boundaries, so it just doesn't fit your needs. and like I said that's ok! you don't need to stay here if it upsets you that much! it's better if you find a social media where people can't share your posts. like a simple blog site that doesn't have a share function! or like Instagram? people cant share those posts. (sorry, I dont know much about social media) if you really want people to stop adding tags that bad, either turn off reblogs completely, or ask staff to add a notification option to turn off seeing added tags on reblogs! (if you're veeerry lucky, and not a trans woman, they might listen to you)

Hi!! Love all the stuff you have on this blog!! It'd be a lot different! I guess I can list a few I thought of,,,

So, Rat!Mom.

She’s still a bit paranoid (how can you not be with the Shredder actively trying to find out what happened to you, where you are, and if you're actually dead), but shes more focused on trying to give her kids as normal of a life as she can and definitely not hiding all her stress underneath endless piles of work.

Mikey plays alot of games and is more adept at cooking, Raph's painting more often and always trying to help his mom with cleaning(yes, hes a mama's boy), Donnie is creating and creating and always wanting to go bigger, and Leo and Karai(yes, Karai :]) play fight alot(so many wars...) when they aren’t watching Space Heroes 24/7 or trying to explore outside the home.

Then, maybe during one of her dumpster dives, she finds some convenient "Chris Bradford" training tapes that they start to gain an interest in ninjutsu. She's not too pleased with it, but since they enjoy it, she tries to be more open to it(she conflicted)

They do go out and about earlier than Canon(with a curfew), meet April earlier too(her and her dad are a little different), and Karai and April become BFFS. (Unless...)

The kids still call her sensei or variations of mom, which ones? Probably all depending on what they did.

Now, fighting bad guys? She did not raise them for that /hj

In reality, when she sees her kids scratched up from fights topside, they are usually pretty quick to inform her what happened(except for two). They get carefully patched up, and scolded before being told to rest for a while(grounded). Which is definitely not so she can keep an eye on them.

And she is certainly not stressed whatsoever👍

As in Traps galore, I mean imagine it-

She can still be emotionally intelligent too, but the traps are staying.

Other than the traps, I do think Rat! Shen will have some other types of self-defense training during the time she was in hiding. Girl is not risking shit.

When it comes to VS. Shredder bits, she'd definitely use everything she can to her advantage, especially her rat abilities. Climbing, gnawing, scratching, hissing; just get the fuck away from her and her kids.

There’s no planned ships atm (other than Shen x Yoshi, but that's the point- hes ded anyway)

Lastly, Im thinking of probably at least three separate versions or “alternate timelines” for the WP au, or two divergents of the wp au canon lol. One where the original turts find Shen and her turts pre-adventure, one post-adventure and/or during the shredder kidnap arc(i will not elaborate) and the least timefuckery timeline where Rat mom and her babies gotta march on without future “assistance” 🤷 im sure they’ll be fine(they willllll)

Rambling, as promised:

They’re both so different but also so similar it’s insane. Still surprised of how good they of fit together. Two assholes made for each other. Disaster couple. Okay but they would not even call themself that - calling themself a couple haha.

In my mind i always compare Cyril to a stray cat. A stray who is not used to getting any pets or attention. First when you try to get closer to the cat it might hiss and scratch you. It can even happen that it bites since it’s trying to protect itself from the evil that is getting pet lol. And then if you are patient and give the cat time it might happen that it comes closer from alone. It actually realises that it wants to be loved and pet but has no idea how that works etc. So yeah. He is probably a stupid orange cat. No braincell. Also that metaphor was kinda weird. I feel weird. Anyways.

Enu is an ex assassin that once upon a time worked for the morag tong until an oopsie happened. And Cyril is just a hot-headed cultist who is a little pyromaniac who likes collecting weapons - and using them :D hint hint stabbing . Both idiot shitheads work for the same oc of mine who kind of ended up making a little gang? „Organisation“( they are kind of Bandits haha)

Since they both frequently see each other around during their working hours, they had to interact. Most of the time they end up fighting and bickering like little kids. While they have to share a space they sometimes end up talking, so i guess they warmed up to each other. Until Cyril opens his mouth and spoils it lmao, or Enu goes too far again with being friendly or his usual doucheness (new word unlocked, you are very welcome).

They both absolutely despise each other. Like that is their whole thing. I don’t even want to call this enemy to lovers. Its just coworkers to enemies to whatever those two are.🤷 i think if they would just sit down and talk like adults it would make things easier for everyone, but alas. Fighting like idiots it is. Just don’t show any weakness and feelings i guess.

Happy Halloween

So my phone won’t let me put a photo of this request but it was from @yourlocalsaiko about Victoria neuman and trick or treating with Zoe and reader and her were Morticia and Gomez for Halloween. It was sent to my other account so i can’t answer it here.

Victoria neuman x reader short Halloween story

( sorry it’s so short I bit off more then I could chew and I kinda rushed the ending. Also it’s not proofread so don’t come after me 😅) also the readers gender isn’t specified so they can be female or gn( just no men 🤷)

The orange and reds of the leaves. The cool breeze of the autumn weather. The smell of pumpkin spice filling every coffee shop. It was officially halloween season. After the years with you and Victoria living together you have acquired a good bunch of halloween decor and traditions. Halloween was a very fun holiday in the Neuman household. Besides Christmas it was one of Zoe’s favourite holidays. She would start to beg and beg as early as October 1st to go to Spirit Halloween and pick out a costume or drag out your Halloween bin and deck out the house.

This year she was very adamant on being Wednesday after the three of you sat down and watched the original Adams family movies together. Zoe has always loved dressing up for Halloween and despite how busy Victoria can be she always took off Halloween night to take her. So she was practically ecstatic when the three of you went to the Halloween store and found a Wednesday costume in her size.

She begged and begged for all of you to do matching costumes this year and she brought up the idea to complete the family by you and Victoria being Gomez and Morticia. And of course you two agreed.

Now it was the day of Halloween. Zoe   Woke the two of you up earlier than usual so she could get ready. Victoria put her hair into two braids and helped give her a little bit of eyeliner after a lot more begging. She was so excited to go off to school and show off her costume to her friends. 

Victoria unfortunately had to work during the day but she promised she would be home before dinner and she always kept her word about these types of things. You picked up Zoe from school and she rambled the whole way home about the candy she got and the Halloween dance. Victoria was home soon after with some pizza for a quick dinner. 

You managed to get Zoe out of her costume for a few minutes so she could eat her pizza without getting sauce all over it. But after she slipped it back on and started getting you guys to get ready. 

“C’mon mom! I wanna go!” She whines as she tugs on Victoria's sleeve after she finished eating her pizza. “One second Zo, you have to be patient, how about you go put your dress back on and will be there soon to get ready.” She says sternly as the young girl runs off to her room. She looks over the table at you and smiles and you return it. “ she’s so excited” you comment before getting up and placing yours and Victoria's plates in the sink for later.

Victoria rises from the table and makes her way over to you before wrapping her arms around your waist at the sink and rests her on your shoulder. “Mmm hi” you chuckle to yourself as you feel her press a kiss along your neck. “C’mon Vicky…. Let’s go get ready” you say not wanting to slip out of her touch but the bouncing of the walls with excitement little girl only has so much patience in her.

Victoria groans, brushing her face into your shoulder and you spin around. “We’ll have some fun later when I get to see you in that dress” you grin, pulling her into a kiss as you wiggle your eyebrows at her and she returns the kiss with a little smirk. After reluctantly pulling away you both pull away and head up to your bedroom. Victoria was going to be Morticia… obviously and you Gomez . Victoria found the perfect flowy black dress in her closet and you found a black suit jacket you had from a wedding years ago. Victoria even dug up some old black lipstick that she doesn’t wear for her political appearances. And Zoe had the brilliant idea to draw a little moustache on your upper lip with an eyeliner pencil. Zoe sat on the end of the bed while Victoria drew on Gomez’s moustache and giggled at how “silly” you looked. 

As soon as the three of you were ready you went out so Zoe could trick or treat. Zoe ran down the sidewalk determined to get as much candy as she could. You and Victoria walked down the sidewalk waiting at each house for her to run back down. “Mom!!!! look Mrs Addison gave me!!” Zoe squeaks as she runs up to the both of you and holds up a full sized kit kat bar. She’s practically bouncing on the balls of her feet and smiling so you can see her missing two front teeth. “ Wow pumpkin, that's awesome.” You exclaim ruffling her hair “ You’re going to have to hide that from your mom she loves Kit Kats “ Victoria rolls her eyes playfully and Zoe laughs again and runs off going right back to trick to treating. 

You reach over to interlock your fingers with Victoria’s as she smiles pressing a kiss to your cheek. “ You look beautiful like that.” You say looking her up and down. Victoria smiles shooting you a little look “ you too love, that moustache suits you” she teases with a little grin. You laugh and meet her gaze “yeah… sexy right” you giggle wiggling your eyebrows as she laughs as well leaning in to give you a kiss. 

You're carrying Zoe in your arms while the three of you walk back home. It’s been two hours of non stop trick or treating and Zoe is done. She asked to be picked up five minutes ago and I’m that time she had fallen asleep. She drools on your shoulder as you carry her home and Victoria gets the job of candy carrying. The walk back home was quiet and peaceful the sun had far gone down.

When you finally got Zoe awake and into her pajamas she was fast asleep again in an instant. It was an absolute perfect Halloween.

Lol, I’m trying to get a lab up and running with nothing but elbow grease and grit — but I was inspired to ramble a little after I saw one of my TAs watching Brightburn on their phone (terrible movie but great concept). This is really silly BUT —

I love the idea of an Icemav kid, who doesn't love the idea of an Icemav kid? Bradley is definitely Icemav’s kid, but he’ll always be Carole and Goose’s too. 

I imagine that Mav starts test piloting when Bradley gets into his preteen/early teen years, while Ice is rising in the ranks. One night they decide to sleep over in the hangar in China Lake. There was supposed to be a meteor shower or something and Mav was desperate to get his kid excited and engaged in something after Carole’s passing. So the two of them are using the telescope into the wee hours of the night to see it and the light-pollution-free constellations. Finally, they go to bed. 

But Bradley frantically wakes Mav up two hours later to say: Mav, I think a meteor just landed outside. 

Mav, of course, doesn't believe him because what? 

But they eventually go out there and “just behind the hangar” turns into a three-mile jog. Still, it’s been a while since Bradley has been invested in anything like this, so they go, and lo’ and behold — there’s a crater and in the crater… is a toddler, chewing on a piece of compromised metal. The whole crater is covered in chunks of compromised metal, like something exploded. But the tiny boy is unharmed, just happily gnawing away on his piece of paneling. 

Mav is at a loss, and when Bradley gives him the can we keep it? lips and eyes, Mav says absolutely not. 

The next morning, Ice rushes over after Mav’s frantic SOS call and says absolutely not. 

But when there's no record of the boy anywhere and his only option is a foster placement… 

Well, there's plenty of room for another kid in this family, after all. 

And okay, sure the kid floats and periodically sets things on fire with his eyes 🤷 but no one is perfect. 

Move over Ma and Pa Kent, they've got nothing on Ice and Mav raising a preteen and an alien baby. 🤣

Is techno's form of "bonding" like, here is a sword try and strike me down, while Tommy's is like, I found a cool rock that reminded me of you.

Are their any type of flowers that you think fit the au? Or are symbolic in the fic, like how in passerine it is the yellow rose?

I have no idea if this was mentioned or not, but does Tommy have a favorite flower or is he just a Disney princess who loves them all? Does techno have a favorite flower after meeting tommy??

The philza reveal. Ohhhh my god theres a certain detail about phil that is like. So incredibly important to how he bonds with tommy and techno. It makes me go crazy. Also phil and wilburs relationship. They’re an interesting little drama to the side so im excited for that.

Funny you ask that!!! They bond in the next chapter!! Techno isn’t intentionally trying to bond with Tommy at all, vice versa with Tommy theyre not quite there yet but if they were to make efforts id say Techno would probably just start spoiling tommy rotten with literally the most expensive things ever and tommy would just be like “i dont WANT a seventh horse i want to tag along with you” and techno would be like “??? Im literally just going to meetings today” “great then i get to sit to the side and chill” “???????”

It would probably be cool if i had some symbolism in the flowers and stuff!! I do not. 😔Did not take the time to look up meanings and jazz. 😔 flowers are flowers and Tommy loves golden colored ones. Or pink ones. Like techno lol

Tommy likes all flowers in general he has a fondness for them bc he grew up in royal gardens and stuff and there was always all kinds, plus the whole flower walk from his kingdom, he just thinks of them as a sign of love or loyalty and stuff. Flowers flowers. Techno doesn’t really have an opinion on flowers at all. He does, however, have a soft spot for the flower crowns tommy makes. He also just associates flowers with tommy in general.

Cool stuff!! Im not a details person but yknow what feel free to make them have favorite flowers go wild with it, flower meanings never stick in my mind but maybe someone out there is like “THIS ONE THIS IS THE ONE!!” So 🤷

i have two versions because the lighting experiment came out ok-ish. t was originally blue (because it was coming from the left side lmao) but red looks better 🤷

it’s a little simple and the composition is messy, but it was a good stress relief + shading practice :D! im proud of it. i’ll definitely draw him (and the gang) more though if i can!! been getting better with hair recently and tested out my skills with this one :]. styling and keeping consistent with hair is tough, but oddly relaxing. did some lineart in the car somehow 👀??

i’ve noticed a trend that i often tend to write big paragraphs about a simple piece of art i’ve made, which is okay but i get the lack of interaction lol. im very proud of my art, and go on rambles on why i like it. the formatting i turn to aswell as the text and images almost turns the post into a collage? visually?? i love collages so it works out XD! but anyways,, im not upset over notes, i just like getting my art out there. so thank you to everyone whose viewed, read, liked, and followed for the ride :]. im glad you appreciate my stuff, it’s what i can offer <3. it won’t be consistently one fandom but im glad to not be alone in my interests. good god that sounded like a traumatized rant (maybe it was but:)

Can I ask why you hate OdyDio? I’m not super familiar with Greek mythology yet, and I’ve seen OdyDio as fairly popular so I’m curious about the other side lol (I personally don’t ship it just because I can’t imagine Odysseus with anyone other than Penelope tbh).

Because people are literally mischaracterizing both Odysseus and Diomedes to make it work and it spits in the face of what Homophrosyne means 🙃

I already didn't care for it in the first place, (I've vented about it before) as I agree, OdyPen are literally soulmates. To the point where they have their own WORD for their love. And yet people will fucking insist that "Oh, Odysseus and Diomedes are more compatible". WHERE?

The Odyssey is literally about him trying to go back home to Penelope and their son. And even in the Iliad, Odysseus mentions her. The Odyssey only mentions Diomedes three times and never once by Odysseus (once by Nestor, twice by Menelaus) so... that goes to show how Odysseus feels about him. 🤷 Kind of wild that Odysseus mentions his wife multiple times in both works but says fuck all about his war co-worker. Menelaus was the one who talked about Odysseus so warmly in the Odyssey as well. Y'all just don't "blorbo" him enough to pair him with Odysseus.

I was just neutral about the ship existing because it's like one of those absurd crackships to me but with how popular, fanonized, and just...With HOW people have behaved about it to me ;~;

Ofc, I'm a huge Penelope fan but even with Diomedes, you can't go into his tag without OdyDio. I'm not even joking. I'm sad I've had to block Diomedes' tag as well because people don't tag right AND don't apparently see him as more than Odysseus' "fling" ;~; (I mean at least Penelope and Diomedes can relate to the fact that it sucks that a lot of people are only caring about them because of Odysseus and not because of who they are. :/ )

Just in general, with my own reading of the Iliad, I...WHERE?! xD Where is the "ship"? They are comrades and they're very different from one another personality wise. Sure, they're a good team in combat but in life??? They are not "likeminded" at ALL.

They also have a fairly large agegap, Odysseus being one of the older kings while Diomedes is one of the youngest. I have them around a decade apart in my writing If you bring up pederasty, you will be smited. You're fucking disgusting.

They also have very little in common other than them both being Athena's pets (which um. Penelope is one too, you know?). Odysseus is a fucked up lil warrior trickster who loves his wife and child more than life itself while Diomedes is a young child soldier boy who is incredibly duty bound and war is where he feels most comfortable.

Diomedes would not put up with Odysseus' rambling about his family and Odysseus WANTS to talk about that. They're co-workers.

Diomedes is a younger king who looks up to all these older and more experienced kings. "Notice me, senpai" energy, and I love it!

And I really hate this "Male/Male relationships didn't 'count' back then so it's not cheating!" like, it may not have counted THEN but it should count NOW. Male/Male relationships have counted to THOSE COUPLES and it has ALWAYS counted. Like by saying that, you're already fucking undermining this supposed beautiful relationship by saying "It wasn't seen as real :3 ".

Like is it a real relationship, important and meaningful for both, in which yeah, Odysseus IS emotionally and physically cheating. (unless Pen and him have agreed to be Poly which yes! Go forth if that's the case! :D Give Penny a GF too!) or was it a casual thing that actual just meant "nothing", therefore OdyDio means nothing? WHICH IS IT?!

You can't have your cake and eat it too. You can't vehemently talk about how Odysseus doesn't cheat on Penelope and then think he canonically fucked Diomedes and even had a romantic relationship with him. Is Odysseus a loyal wifeman who adores Penelope or is he a weak-minded "wifeman" who immediately starts fucking his co-worker as soon as his wife is out of sight? He has the self-control for not wanting concubines (correct) but then lacks it with Diomedes? That's not Odysseus. Make an OC at this point.

Like Admit and have fun with a crackship and then yeah, just do it because you find it hot. You don't have to pull stuff outta nowhere in order to have fun with a CRACKSHIP. (I crackship MenOdy sometimes. I know they didn't do that. I admit to the fact that it didn't happen and it goes against their characters to do so. )

OR delve into the possible feelings of Odysseus feeling like he's betraying Penelope by falling in love with another or whatever! And if it's just "casual fucking", y'all. He's fucking married and deeply in love. Have OdyPen KNOW they can both be casual so she won't feel betrayed when he tells her "Oh yeah, me and this guy were fucking during the war. :) Yeah, I fell in love with him too! No, thoughts of you weren't enough to keep me sane, I needed a fuck buddy too. Wait, why are you mad at me?"

As from what I know, with kings especially, you did NOT interact with someone like that of the same rank without consequences of being ridiculed by the others. Odysseus is older and more respected than Diomedes, and Diomedes, who is TRYING to prove himself, would not want to be with another king as that would make people respect him less! If you want to write about it, at least delve into that possible JUICY type of drama that would occur with a CRACKSHIP relationship like this! It's okay to ship something JUST because it's a fetish y'all!

That's just the Canon texts itself as to why I just simply disliked it. The fandom was... yeah ;~; made me hate that it even exists. (Not all! Some of y'all are incredibly kind and respectful of boundaries and I appreciate that! It's just that...Some were not.)

I mean I've had to deal with Aphobia surrounding my OdyPen and along with some asks/people in the past who were TRYING to make me write about OdyDio despite the fact that I've never liked it.

I also think it's weirdly because some Odysseus fans almost block out the Odyssey, you know, HIS story, and pretend like he didn't do everything to get home to his loved ones.

"Oh, she didn't trust him and made him cry when she tricked him. She's abusive!" Literally one of the most stupid things I've ever fucking heard. She HAD to be sure it was him and when she knows for sure, she apologizes, explains, and kisses him. Kisses that he desperately and happily returns btw.

"After all Odysseus goes through from the Goddesses, he's afraid of women so he and Penelope separate." ...WHAT?! He literally wants to "embrace in love in their bed" as soon as they stop crying! And she holds him back only to know Tiresias' prophecy, which he DOES TELL HER BTW, before they DO "show love".

"Penelope becomes Odysseus' and Diomedes' surrogate!" ...Wow. Just wow. Love how people will talk about how ancient men in the past only saw women as "breeders" as though they're any fucking different with THIS fucking take.

It's annoying that I'll post a headcanon on tumblr and then the tags are "This but with OdyDio." or that people will often only like/reblog my ODYSSEUS shit and not my Penelope. ;~;

I love how people will be adamant about how "Odysseus never cheated" (true), and yet have him with Diomedes :/ Like at LEAST have OdyPen agree to have an open marriage before they're separated if you're going to pull that stance. (also give Penelope a girlfriend if Odysseus gets a boyfriend, you cowards.)

So many people for some reason only see Penelope for what she is for her husband and that's all. As though that's all she is. And as if Odysseus isn't as intertwined with her as she is with him.

Even with OdyPenDio. I've noticed that it mostly means "OdyDio + Penelope in the fujoshi cuck chair." I've only heard about ONE fic where it's actually about PenDio. (In which Author, you give me hope. It's not my thing but thank you for writing that. <3 The "Sidepieces" deserve love too.) It feels like people masking micro misogyny by forcing M/F couples to be throuples with the man they’d rather see the dude with. Or acting like the only way to enjoy a couple is to make them gay by erasing the woman entirely 🤮

There are only four ships I’m set on including in the comic (kind of like... situationships, etc ), and those THREE ships are Killermare, Colorkiller, and Cream.

Cream is more like... eh... I’m honestly not too sure. I think they’d be cute together, but I might just keep them as a situationship or something.

Now, I’m going to be honest..I actually kind of like Killermare. 🤷 The dynamic is interesting. (I don’t support toxic or abusive relationships; I mostly want to incorporate some “canon” personalities for the characters. To me, I can’t see Killermare being a healthy relationship at all, and I want to experiment with that in this comic.)

Now, for Colorkiller: definitely one of my favorite ships! I REALLY want to include this ship mostly because they’re super cute, but they’ll most likely stay as a situationship for the most part, lol.

Now I want to talk about my plans for this comic! I really want to explore a bunch of different topics!! This comic will definitely have some dark themes and maybe even a sprinkle of violence. I mostly made this post to gather some opinions on the ships, but somehow it turned into me rambling about what I want to do with this comic, lol. 😭

It'll probably take me a while to start making the comic due to my EXTREME lack of art skills (and not knowing how to start a comic properly). first things first: bee. bee my fucking beloved. oh my god he’s so goofy and i love him and that moment where elita has to hold him back as orion falls into the well UGH MY GAY LITTLE HEART he’s so child coded. like i love him. so much.

elita wasn’t my favourite thing in the world but ya know what? she had her guns, she stuck to em, and her voice actor killed it. so. also fun to see her beat the shit outta people that’s always fun lol

loved the jazz and the arcee screentime. wanted more. feed me more.

SENTINEL. PRIME. MOTHERFUCKING SHITBALLS MAN. he’s so cocky and pompous and performative and flashy and cowardly and and and RAGHHH I LOVE IT. he’s SUCH AN ASS and he is SO HATEABLE but also?? fucking?? goofy aaa mf?? like. his design is KILLER btw i love it so much and i love him?? but i also hate him cause WHAT. the other thing that made me short circuit was d-16’s eyes. see, and this was just an expectation on my part, i was under the impression that his optics gradually got darker and darker. like, the further he strayed from peace and the more he fell into violence, the angrier he got, the darker his optics got. having it be a blink and then bam? red?

oh. i was not equipped. i was not equipped for any of that scene AT ALL. girlies i cried. a lot.

another d-16 ramble? his. his fucking monologue. about wanting to murk sentinel. case a) baby same b) what the fuck and c) that emotion. that visceral, raw hatred spat out as a confession oh my god in that moment i went ‘oh no this movie isn’t for kids. i’m gonna get emotional damage’ and then i did. phenomenal acting.

love the high guard, shockwave so silly. soundwave so goofy. love them. love the whole ‘he wouldn’t stop talking’ bit much goof. such potential for ANGST i love.

starscream’s voice caught me off guard but some of them moves he pulled were badass as fuck and it’s kinda cool to see him ‘rank’ higher than d-16/megatron legitimately in a way. but. that fight. i’m. like i enjoy megastar as much as the next person but. ‘HARDER’??? i know in every continuity megatron beats up starscream at LEAST once, i get that, but the homoeroticism is meant to STAY AS FANNON

Adora’s hands are warm. Always.

Even now, sitting on the balcony of the newly rebuilt Bright Moon castle, your fingers interlaced with hers as the sun dips low over the sea, her warmth pulses steady into your hand like a quiet promise. She doesn’t say much at first—she never really has when the moment feels this still. Just a soft smile, her thumb brushing circles over the back of your hand.

“Can you believe this?” she says, finally. Her voice is hushed like she’s afraid speaking louder would wake her from a dream.

You laugh, scooting closer until her shoulder rests against yours. “What, peace? Or that you finally took a day off?”

She rolls her eyes, but there’s that little grin again—the one she only ever gives when she’s safe. Really safe.

“Both,” she murmurs, then leans her head against yours. “And you. I still don’t really get how I ended up with you.”

You don’t answer right away. The wind carries the scent of sea salt and stardust, and below you, the kingdom is glowing with life. For once, no alarms. No portals ripping open the sky. Just this. Just her.

“I think,” you say, “you chose to stop running. And I was just… here. Waiting.”

Adora’s breath catches just a little. “I always thought I’d end up alone. Like… like maybe that’s what I deserved after everything.”

You turn toward her, fingers brushing her cheek to guide her gaze to you. “That’s the thing, Adora. You don’t get what you deserve. You get what you fight for. And you fought for us.”

She kisses you like she’s been wanting to for years. Maybe she has.

Catra watches from the tower.

She’s not spying. Not really. It’s just—she was passing through. On a supply run. And she just happened to glance up at the balcony.

She sees them there. You. Her.

Adora. And you.

And she doesn’t feel jealous. Not in the sharp, green way she used to. It’s more like… emptiness. A gap in her chest where something used to be—where something was never allowed to be.

She doesn’t cry. Not this time. Her claws dig into the stone ledge, knuckles white, muscles locked. But she doesn’t cry.

She could, though.

Because the truth is, Adora was never really hers. Not the way she thought. Not the way she wanted. Not in the way that could survive everything they’d done to each other.

Catra remembers standing in front of tanks with the villiage collapsing behind her, telling at Adora to come home. Remembering the way it felt when Adora didn’t.

And then she remembers something worse.

She remembers standing with Adora, shoulder to shoulder in the final battle. Holding her breath while Adora’s body glowed like a dying star, begging her not to go through with it. Watching her stumble, her voice breaking, and thinking for one horrifying second: If she dies, and I live, I’ll never forgive her.

But she lived. They both did.

And now?

Now Adora is happy. With someone who makes her laugh without needing to be asked. Someone who holds her without needing to fix her. Someone who isn’t… her.

Catra sinks to the floor, back against the wall of the tower, her breath shaky.

Could she have done something? Fought harder? Told Adora sooner?

No. Not anymore.

She thought she could never be good enough. And maybe that became the truth, just because she believed it for too long.

She’s different now. Changed. Trying to be, anyway. And people notice. Scorpia hugged her just this morning without Catra lashing out. Glimmer invited her to a council meeting. She’s part of something now.

But she will always wonder.

And no—she wouldn’t hurt you. Even if a part of her itched to destroy something, just to feel like she still mattered.

She wouldn’t hurt you.

Because you make Adora happy.

And Catra? Catra has had enough of being the villain in her own story.

Adora laughs, forehead resting against yours.

You’re lying together in the grass now, long after the sun’s gone down, tracing constellations with your fingertips.

“She saw us today,” Adora says softly.

You don’t ask who.

“She looked away.”

You nod. “Do you want her to look longer?”

Adora sighs, threading her fingers through yours again. “I used to.”

She’s quiet a long time before she says, “I loved her. A part of me always will. But love isn’t… it’s not a battlefield anymore. Not for me.”

“And now?” you ask.

She smiles into the dark. “Now it’s a quiet morning. A balcony at sunset. You.”

Catra watches the stars from her own tower, alone.

Adora falls asleep in your arms.

And for the first time, there is no fire. No fight. Just peace.

And Catra? She lets her heart break quietly. Because letting go is still love, too.

Personal opinion:

To be honest I get where you’re coming from, but I really don’t think that Catra would try to kill you if we’re talking about season 5 Catra from what it sounds like we are. To be perfectly honest it’d have to probably depend on the season highly, but it sure is a possibility. I mean let’s face it - Catra is highly unstable person and is still trying to understand herself, after all, so I think if we’re talking season 3-4 Catra then probably she’d try that, but season 1 and 2 feel too early and not so crazy-unstable-Catra yet and in season 5 she’s getting better. From what I took this is happening in season 5 post war so I hope I didn’t misunderstood it tho.

Like, the priestess’s are clearly ALSO pomegranate flavored, and I’m sure they’re just called #1 and #2 so then there’s no confusion. so, what’s the big deal if an oc cookie, a cookie that’s obviously not canon, and made bc someone wants to have fun and make an oc, has a similar/the same name as another cookie??? like, obviously devsisters goes out of their way to name each cookie as differently as possible, and whenever they make a new cookie it’s a different flavor. but in my eyes, it’s weird??? Like, why is it a big deal if there’s an oc called “strawberry cookie” even though there’s already a strawberry cookie. if you met someone named Jake, but you already knew another guy named Jake, you wouldn’t tell the new person you met that they couldn’t be called Jake, cause there’s already someone with that name. this could absolutely be applied to other fandoms and media, and just in general. Like I have met so many people named Brooklyn, Bailey, Mason, Tyler, Tayler, ect. So why does it matter if in media two people have the same name?? It’s extremely common irl. But I’ve only ever seen this name drama stuff in the crk fandom so far so yeah, 🤷
