Title: Patience Rewarded Fandom: IDW2 Ship: Pyra Magna/Jumpstream Word Count: 100 Rating: G Summary: Even after two thousand kilocycles, Jumpstream still attracts the same stares. A/N: For TF Femslash February's prompt "devotion"! I hesitated to repeat a character so soon but IDW2 Jumpstream is different enough from her IDW1 counterpart that I can roll with it. When she'd first appeared publicly in her General's colors, the attention had been fit to crush her. Being so seen was new, was disconcerting, was exhausting-- but it was the only way anymore for Pyra Magna to be seen and so Jumpstream wore the paint like she wore her loyalty. Chin up, shoulders back, meeting every optic that was turned on her.

The looks changed as time passed; commiseration, curiosity and disgust all blended into pity. She could feel it as she picked through the debris of the tetherfall.

It was the last thing that mattered when she heard--

While I'm okay with genderswapping Transformers in shows to better balance gender ratios, I do wish that wasn't apparently the first resort for writers once they've grabbed Arcee, Elita-1, and/or Windblade instead of just... Using one of the many female Transformers that already exist.

Other female characters I want to see animated:

Autobot Road Rage, my tippy top pick. She is so cool and sexy.

Decepticon Spacewarp. She's a deep space explorer that has lots of different adventures and finds herself questioning the Decepticon cause.

Megaempress and the Four Guards. For the love of all things good, please pull a Ruckley and write these ladies something decent because the Unite Warriors comics are terrible with them.

Autobot Javelin, sharpshooter and warrior! She has a really cool design and I think there are some really interesting ways you can take her character, especially if you bounce off the IDW2 story where she's traumatized from getting a head injury in combat!

Decepticon sleeper agent Flip Side. I want to see a dedicated story arc based off of her story with Blaster and how she deals with realizing her life was a lie.

Pyra Magna and the Torchbearers/Rust Renegades. While Victorion showed up in the Prime Wars trilogy, the separate components didn't seem to do so. I think either story from IDW1 or IDW2 would be fantastic story to explore in an animated story!

What female characters who've never been animated (or perhaps showed up for maybe 5 seconds) would you like to see?

You know something I enjoy about Skywarp's teleportation across different continuities is that it's rarely the same. The mechanics of his teleportation vary in nearly every continuity, and there are different limits to how it works. In G1, for example, it’s portrayed as a sharp purple flash, accompanied by a distortion of time and space, as Skywarp is able to teleport in an instant. Kind of confused why he doesn't use it that much.

The same appears to be the case in both IDW1 and Shattered glass.

In IDW2 it does appear to seem as though Skywarp can create portals to facilitate his teleportation, though this doesn't appear to be a necessity, as he can simply warp without forming a portal. In this continuity, his teleportation is depicted with a golden hue, and it leaves behind a trail of what looks like mystical smoke (or something similar) as he disappears. I kind of like how much he uses his teleportation in this continuity to be a menace not gonna lie.

In Skybound, Skywarp only uses his teleportation once, but it’s a pretty cool twist. Instead of just teleporting to another spot, he creates these mini portals or disks that stay in place. He then reaches through them to mess with Optimus. The teleportation has a green hue here, which makes for a pretty neat iteration of his powers because imagine if he can use it to just steal important weapons or stuff like that without even trying to move. On paper it's less riskier than actually teleporting there himself. And funnier ngl.

Then there’s Earthspark, where his- or her teleportation is really something..... In this version, her teleportation is ridiculously fast, almost like lightning itself. The whole thing happens so quickly that it looks like she literally transforms into lightning, streaking across the space with this red glow. It’s almost like she’s not even teleporting in the traditional sense; she’s just zipping through reality so fast that she becomes a bolt of lightning, visually it looks pretty great.

But at the same time something I love about giving a charecter a pretty overpowered ability like this is as usual it usually comes with a fair share of drawbacks. Or rules that pertain how it functions.

In the Aligned Continuity, or the pre canon TFP novels, Skywarp’s teleportation has this limitation. He has to plan out his destination at least five seconds before jumping, or else he could end up teleporting somewhere completely random, which could be pretty disastrous according to him. Starscream took advantage of this weakness to set him up,which ended up getting him killed. This version of Skywarp’s ability really relies on him being able to think ahead and stay grounded, because if he tries to teleport on the fly, he’s basically gambling with his own life

However, other continuities don’t seem to have this same limitation. For instance, in Earthspark, Skywarp is shown teleporting randomly to different locations within the span of just a second. Her limitation in this version, though, is that she can’t warp through solid objects, which means if she's trapped in a room with no way out—she’s effectively cornered.

Then there's IDW1 Skywarp—though I wouldn’t really call this a limitation- as this happened due to an incident rather than it always being inherently present, but when he gets stabbed by Arcee during a jump, he loses control over his physical form. He essentially becomes incorporeal, existing almost like a ghost, and has to struggle to keep himself anchored in reality. Messing with space time kind of does that I suppose.

IDW2 Skywarp went through something somewhat similar. He attempted to teleport all the way to Cybertron after he was banished, but ended up getting caught in unspace, where he was trapped for thousands of years. He eventually managed to latch onto Jumpstream and escape, only to be thrown right back into unspace in the end, low-key karma since he was pretty much just changing allegiances on merry whim just to have fun(valid), but also sucks for him. Honestly, a miracle he didn't completely lose his mind after all that time alone- then again he probably did. Unspace was to my knowledge mostly accessible by teleporters such as Skywarp and Jumpstream in this continuity.

So, the moral of the story is—teleportation is fun, but also kind of sucks, at least for Skywarp. Seriously, why are G1 and Earthspark the only shows where he actually gets to teleport? It’s literally in his name—just let him teleport already, I beg of you!

Lugnut: Ha! That's no choice at all. I would gladly give my life for Megatron and they should do no less. Farewell, Motormaster, you'll be remembered... As a footnote, maybe.

Motormaster: You... miserable... jumped-up... I'll- Unhhh...

Elita-1: Without the Core, Optimus Prime may die. But... he'd never forgive me... never! Not if others paid the price for his life!

Pyra Magna: H-Hurry... we're running on fumes here!

Lugnut: Tick, tock, Elita... Time's running out for your Rusty Regenades. While my eyes are on the prize!

Elita-1: Optimus... I'm sorry...

Lugnut: Haw! This is like taking cyber candy from a protoform! The Prime Core is mine... all mine! In the name of glorious Megatron, naturally!

Elita-1: Hang on, Rust Renegades - I'm coming. Tow cable away! I'm going to haul you clear of the danger zone... one at a time.

Motormaster: Lug... nut... come... back. Don't... leave... us...

Dead End: Too... late... boss. He's as good as gone. They... all... left us... to rust...

Relationships Headcanon in the Ark & Nemesis

- Ratchet, Velocity, First Aid, and Minerva bitch about everybody after a long day. They have a group chat called Tired Medics

-Bumblebee, Rodimus, and Windblade act like siblings.

- Jazz and Blaster are best friends and they have a very strong friendship, very supportive of each other’s relationships with Prowl and Soundwave respectively… despite sometimes worrying about each other’s happiness.

- Bumblebee, Jazz, Blaster, Blurr, and Mirage are also hang out a lot as their jobs connect together and they are often giggling together.

- Rodimus, Springer, Blurr, and Arcee are conjoined together and have their own little friend group.

- Perceptor, Nautica, Brainstorm, Wheeljack, Greenlight, Lancer, and Skyfire are a chaotic bunch and you should run if they are in the lab together… especially when it’s Brainstorm and Wheeljack.

- Ratchet and Wheeljack are amiable exes who raised Dino bots together.

- Blaster, Windblade, Bumblebee, Sandstorm, Blurr, Cosmos, and Lightbright sigh over the fact that the love of their lives are the enemies… Soundwave, Starscream, Blitzwing, Octane, Swindle, Blast Off, and Sparkstalker think of them often.

- Same group of cons are glaring daggers at Breakdown and Knockout whenever the couple are canoodling.

- Cyclonus and Thundercracker bailed and are living their life with Tailgate and Marissa. Misfire and The Scavengers bailed too and Misfire canoodles with Swerve.

-The triple changers from both sides go drinking together.

- Don’t let Tracks, Powerglide, Blurr, Sunstreaker, Slingshot, and Mirage work together at Once… nothing can be achieved.

- Drift and Ratchet, Prowl and Jazz, Soundwave and Blaster, Hound and Mirage, Breakdown and Knockout, BW Silverbolt and Blackarachnia, Tracks and Raoul, Starscream and Windblade, Blitzwing and Bumblebee, Swindle and Blurr, Arcee and Greenlight, Dinobot and Optimus Primal, AND SHOCKINGLY Ultra Magnus and Rodimus are all the “PLEASE GET A ROOM” Couple.

- “Shameless but Cute” couples are Blast Off and Cosmos, Sparkstalker and Lightbright, Dust Up and Jumpstream, Powerglide and Astoria, Cyclonus and Tailgate, Road Rage and Náutica, Roadhandler and Cecelia, Skids and Charlene, Seaspray and Alana, Crankcase and Cons4Eva, Misfire and Swerve, Thundercracker and Marissa, Afterburner and Lightspeed, Octane and Sandstorm, and Tigatron and Airazor.

- First Aid has feelings for Springer and gets all flustered when he is around while Firestar stumbles and crushes hard on Velocity. Slingshot yearns for Silverbolt while there is a love triangle between Red Alert, Inferno, and Smokescreen as the two long for Inferno but Inferno loves Red Alert.

- Couples that are mostly “on the downlow and fuck like rabbits behind close doors” are BW Megatron and BW Inferno, Megaempress and Flowspade, Loudpedal and Exhaust, Perceptor and Brainstorm (but it seems mostly one sided… or is it?)

- Need “love advice”? Ask the sexiest not there is… KUP.

-Seaspray, Beachcomber, Hound, and Skids talk nature together and they with Alana and Charlene go on nature expeditions. Mirage would come but he doesn’t like getting dirty.

- Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, and Bluestreak are a chaotic bunch and are up to any antics.

- Swindle and Smokescreen drunkly gambled together… once… no one knew what happened that night afterward.

- Onslaught is just tired, Vortex and Brawl share a brain cell but Blast Off holds it in tight custody.

- Grimlock enjoys spending time with the Scavengers and could be seen napping together.

- Prowl and Jazz spar a lot together. Jazz being the better fighter as Prowl can’t help but feel… drawn to it. His conjunx finds it adorable.

-Ratchet and Drift are conjunx and they practically had a los Vegas wedding, Ratchet finds it amusing and cute that Drift laments on giving him the ‘proper’ wedding,

- Rewind has bad taste in men.

- Mirage and Sunstreaker don’t like each other.

- Mirage likes to get dirty… with Hound. Poor Cliffjumper walks in on them a lot.

- Ratchet does the same with Rodimus and Ultra Magnus, Blaster with Jazz and Prowl, and Wheeljack with Ratchet and Drift. The Stunticons with Knocoout and Breakdown. Nautica HEARD Perceptor and Brainstorm but that’s it.

- Bumblebee and Windblade once asks Optimus about dating the enemy (regarding about Blitzwing and Starscream) and Optimus sighs thinks of Megatron.

- Ironhide would fuck Optimus in a heart beat. Chromia would gladly sleep with Elita One.

- Thunderclash has a crush on Rodimus but it’s one sided… my poor man.

- Rodimus thinks it’s a bit funny, adorable, and amusing Springer’s sheer obliviousness but tells him to keep his eyes out for potential lovers… you’d be surprise who you might fall in love. *nudges First Aid*.

-Fort Max and Cerebros comfort Red Alert and try to figure put how to help him woo Inferno.

- Mirage has an amusing relationship with Sideswipe… a good one though.

- Arcee and Lancer don’t get along. Greenlight is sighing heavily in the back as her conjunx and ex glare daggers at each other.

- Hardhead, Brainstorm, and Highbrow are estranged and talk trash about each other behind each other’s backs.

- Tracks, Road Rage, Loud Pedal, and Needlenose talk trash about each other too while Raoul and Nautica stare nervously at Exhaust and Horri Bull as they glance suspiciously at each other.

- Raoul, Astoria, Marissa, Cecelia, and Charlene are all beside Alana and Cons4Eva and sighing heavily at the chaos.

The Prime of His Youth: Book V: Where There's Smoke: Ch37: Orion's Breath

Japheth stopped. He was on the surface of Cybertron, and turned to look at Arcelia to see if this was the exact spot. She nodded her head. He received a comm. signal from Aurea. "My Prime." She said with reverance.

"Japheth." He said warmly.

"I did not mean..." Aurea tried to say.

"Aurea." He said with warmth and finality.

"My..." She tried to say, but stopped Herself.

"I am in position." He warmly replied.

"Um..." She uttered, and paused.

"I'm proud of you." Japheth warmly said, and a palpable silence followed as the air was sucked from her proverbial lungs. Eventually Japheth continued, "What did you want?"

"Oh!" She exclaimed, as Her senses slowly returned to Her, "Your flyers will have to move back."

Japheth looked up, as His helicopters were chasing each other. "Flyers, land with the rest of us." The twins were the first to turn around, and race to his side before transforming into a landing. Sirenia and Airachnid more languidly turned, and transformed into a landing beside him. "We're ready."

The ground in front of them started to shake, and quake. They felt it first with their feet, and then their bones and kibble, and finally their mesh and Energon. The land in front of them split in twain. It was impossible for Japheth to judge how the size of it. He was knew to being a Cybertronian, and this seemed to defy even their size scales. It was a subterranean hangar of impossible size, and a Cybertronian of impossible size rose in front of them. He was on a lift, and stood taller than a skycraper. "My Prime!" his great voice bellowed, "I have been blessed with the great name Orion, and, if you will it, to be the chariot that bears you to the stars." his great form them slowly kneeled to the ground, head down, eyes closed, trying to hide how nervous he was.

"Be at peace." Japheth said to him, and slowly he opened his eyes and then slowly turned his gaze towards Him, as if he was afraid his gaze might cause offence. What he saw, instead, was Japheth simply smiling at him. His Spark felt at peace, and slowly smiled.

"Unfortunately, I must tell you that I cannot transform with any on board, and must meet you in orbit."

Japheth just smiled at him, "Did She tell you about Captain Dodge and Captain Saunders?"

"I... have been informed of them, but?.." Orion tried to say.

"You have nothing to be afraid of with them." Japheth said with a bright smile. He then turned to Arcelia, "Tell them to play nice." He said, and she smiled in a reply. Japheth then looked back up at Orion, "I will meet you in orbit." Orion gave him an uncertain look, "We will clear your blast radius." He then turned to Arcelia, who smiled at Him, having finished her communication, "Have the Skyfall pick us up someplace safe." Arcelia looked distant for a moment, "Lead the way." He said. Her eyes widened as it dawned on her.

Japheth looked out the windows of the iridescent Skyfall, as the power of Orion's takeoff shook them to their core.

"Should I turn on the?.." Stormwright asked.

"No." Japheth uttered. "I want to feel his power."

"What about us?" Jumpstream asked.

"I know - well - how you feel." Japheth said, without looking back, causing the twins to snicker. He paused for a moment.

"When do we take off?" Arcee asked.

Japheth turned back as Aurea stepped up the ramp. "Took you long enough." He uttered, and She looked at him nervously. He rolled His eyes and smiled at Her, "I'm just fucking with you?"

"When's the last time you heard a Prime swear?" Aurea asked, and Japheth glared at Her, "What?" She asked.

"Have you?" Skyburst asked.

"Heard yourself?" Stormclash added, and Aurea sighed.

"There are many kinds of Primes." Japheth said firmly, and She looked at Him curiously, but nervously, as if She was hiding something "You'll reveal your next secret in time. For now, where is Nebulous?"

"Probably Iacon." Aurea said, and shrugged. Japheth looked back out at Orion, and grumbled. "What?" She asked.

"He has a present for him." Arcee saronically said, and Aurea gave her a curiuos look. "You'll have to wait until the big reveal."

"Nope." Japheth said, and turned to look at Aurea, causing Arcee to Tsk. "She has to wait until orbit."

The Skyfall flew towards Orion, burning occationally to maintain speed and attitude. Japheth sat on His couch, with the twins sitting down beside him, "Aurea." He said, and She sheepishly looked at Him.

"He doesn't bite." Arcee stated.

"He does." Stormclash stated.

"Nibble." Skyburst added.

"Girls." He said firmly, and they sat upright, attentively, "Aurea, the gift for Nebulous was going to be the Phthia." He paused, until it seemed Aurea didn't understand the implication.

"He wants to know if you were planning to make something for Smokie." Arcee added.

"Hm?" Aurea curtly asked, and then looked ashamed of it.

"You act as if I was surprised who you are?" Japheth said with a smile.

"You're... you're sure?" She asked, "Because I can swear - like - a lot."

"Primus chose you, like he chose me." Japheth replied, "He had to have a reason for doing it." He then turned his head to the window to see Orion off in the distance. He then looked back at Her.

"He made me a Prime to build a ship for you?" Aurea curtly asked.

"You did it because you are you." Japheth said with a warm smile.

"Well, I mean, it might have been the first Titan poured since the Age of Wrath, but you are going to use it to find our lost colonies." Aurea stated.

"And we circle around to my earlier question." Japheth stated.

"And, that was again?.." Aurea nervously asked.

"Are you going to make one for Smokescreen?" Arcee sardonically asked.

"Well, I mean He's going to take care of Cybertron." Aurea replied, "But, the Elite Guard should have some ships."

"And now the question of what to do with Ion?" Japheth asked.

"Didn't He promise to give it back to us?" Dust Up asked, and the rest of the Rust Maidens glared at her, "What?"

"Didn't you want to join him on Orion?" Arcee sardonically asked.

"Oh, shit, I mean shoot, I mean scrap." Dust Up uttered. She turned her head, only to see Japheth giving her a bright smile.

"I would not be the same without my Rust Maidens."

"Without your Wrath!" Dust Up shouted.

"Sometimes I prefer mewling kittens." Japheth said with a smile. He then turned to Arcelia, "Did Knockout get me a Seneschal for Orion?"

Arcelia's eyes darted about a few times, "Yes... he did... Did he know?"

"I'd like to think I'm unpredictable," Japheth stated, "But it's almost frightening to that Knockout would be the one to predict me."

"To be honest," Pyra Magna stated, "he does seem to have the same opinion of plans."

The Skyfall entered into the colossal doors and paused, staring at the vast internal space. It seemed... He quickly looked towards Aurea, who had trouble meeting his gaze.

"The deed is done." Pyra Magna firmly stated, "You have nothing to hide from now. It does not behove your status as a Prime."

"Behove." the twins snickered.

"Am I the only one that learned to speak English?" Pyra Magna asked.

"What?" Dust Up asked, "What, did you, have Ciel plug a dictionary into your head?"

"Or I opened a book." Pyra Magna sighed, and looked back to Aurea. "Speak."

"It was designed to have enough room for the Ion." Aurea meekly stated.

"What, why?" Japheth asked, and Aurea tried to look away, only to have Airachnid turn Her head back towards Japheth, holding it in-place.

"Maybe," she whispered wickedly into Aurea's ear, "you don't treat him like a monster, but a man."

"I was one, afterall." Japheth said with a weak smile.

"Fine, fine." Aurea protested, "I don't need some pink bimbobot holding my head in..." She paused, unsure if she had mispoken.

"To be fair," Airachnid said, not letting go of Aurea's head, "I'm not so much a bimbo as I am a wicked witch. But..."

"What are you?.." Aurea asked, and then quickly stopped.

"Well, I am pretty, and pastel pink, but that was not exactly my choice." Airachnid replied.

"Who's what is, then?!" Aurea harshly asked, and then was worried as She looked Japheth in the eyes.

Japheth then looked Airachnid in the eyes, "You've had your fun."

"No, but I've had enough." Airachnid wickedly voiced, and let go of her head.

Aurea turned to take a swing at Airachnid, but found nothing but air where she had been.

"Play nice." Japheth said.

Aurea's head quickly snapped to him, "Yes, my Prime!" she shouted.

"My Prime." Airachnid more sultrily replied.

Japheth looked at Aurea, "I meant her." he said, gesturing his head to Airachnid.

"What about me?" Aurea asked.

"Answer - my question?" Japheth asked, and She tried to look away. Airachnid once again grabbed her head and turned it to Japheth.

"Can you tell her to lay it off?" Aurea asked.

"After you answer my question." Japheth replied.

"Alright, but it's not a good answer." Aurea replied.

"You built a Titan, and you think I'm going to be mad about how absurdly big the docking bay is?" Japheth asked.

"When you put it like that..." Aurea tried to say.

"Could you just answer His question?" Airachnid asked, "As much as I'm enjoying this pantomime, I think it's time we move on."

"The Ion - can land?" Aurea nervously asked.

Airachnid let out a disappointed utterance.

Aurea's head snapped around to look at her, "What?!"

Airachnid shrugged, "That's actually a good reason."

"Is it?" Aurea asked Pyra Magna, who sternly nodded, "It is?!" Aurea asked Arcee, who just shrugged.

"I guess?" Arcee asked.

"Is it?!" Aurea harshly asked Japheth, and got lost in his warm smile. She headily sighed, "I've got to stop making a scraplet out of myself."

"It is." Japheth warmly stated.

"Like scrap." Aurea accused him, "You're serious?"

"Orion will not be able to land on most planets." Japheth simply stated.

The Gotchard Cast and their Cybertronians friends have set off to save Christmas but, they cause some accidents to happen during their mission to save Christmas. Some of these Incidents are as follows:

When Spanner and his Cybertronian allies were delivering gifts at Northern Base, a dragon woke up after Spanner's group delivered the gifts and to stop it from attacking, Steamhammer uses his shovel arm to sucker punch the dragon in the face, causing the dragon to de-transform and reveal their true form, Ise. After getting sucker punched, Ise begins to cry because he was just punched by a strong left hook, and this alerts all of Northern Base and the Cybertronians stationed there. Realizing they have been compromised, Astrotrain tells all of them to leave now and get out.

Lachesis and her group went to deliver the presents of the King-Ohgers and while in Gokkan, Lachesis, Scylla, Brawl, Cloudraker, Runabout, and Skid-Z saw an asleep Rita, Himeno, and Jeramie with a tied up and petrified Moffun! Gira and he screamed at them to untie him but, they just closed the door on them to not question what that was.

Renge, Sabimaru, and their Cybertronian friends were delivering the presents Kyoryugers, Ryusoulgers, Go-Ongers, Kiramagers, Go-Busters, Ninningers, Shinkengers, and Zyuohgers, but during these deliveries, they accidentally destroyed parts of the Sentai bases or in the Go-Busters case, accidentally destroyed part of the Gattai they use.

Houou/Original Kaguya and his Cybertronian group of dumbasses delivered the Decade Cast presents without any issues but when it came to delivering presents to Shinnosuke, let's just say Shinnosuke's living room gets totaled.

During a trip to deliver presents to the other Riders, Hopper1 holds a mistletoe under Houtaro and Rinne, and while blushing, Ransack and Rust Dust make Houtaro and Rinne. Which causes both of them not able to look at each other.

When Rinne and her squad of Cybertronians were delivering presents to Emu, Pounce accidentally knocks down Emu's Christmas tree on to him and it zaps Emu, hurting him and knocking him out.

An unrelated incident and after delivering the Revice, Fourze and Gavv Casts' presents with little issue, Houtaro, Hopper1 and their Cybertronian pals go to deliver presents to the W Cast but when they deliver the presents, Ransack and Hopper1 and go to see what is causing that noise. When they go into the garage they see Philip getting beaten to a pulp by multiple Cat Yo-kai and Mick for something they don't know about.

Jetfire, while delivering presents, accidentally crashed into a house in the Philippines, but thankfully the family was but they were terrified by a giant talking robot jet crashing into their house. The person that lives goes by some random name known as Curry, Kairi, or something like that.

Another unrelated incident that happened was Shockwave forcing the Science Squad minus George and Philip to be of average intelligence, meaning they are as smart as people like Gentaro and Sougo.

During all of this, the Gotchard Cast and their pals accidentally and unknowingly destroyed parts of Japan by trying to give presents.

So the Gotchard Cast and their pals have saved Christmas! Ignoring the carnage they have caused throughout all of Japan.

So what are the Riders' reaction to the Gotchard Cast and their small army of Cybertronians saving Christmas but with some carnage occurring because of the Gotchard Cast and their Cybertronians?
