While I'm okay with genderswapping Transformers in shows to better balance gender ratios, I do wish that wasn't apparently the first resort for writers once they've grabbed Arcee, Elita-1, and/or Windblade instead of just... Using one of the many female Transformers that already exist.

Other female characters I want to see animated:

Autobot Road Rage, my tippy top pick. She is so cool and sexy.

Decepticon Spacewarp. She's a deep space explorer that has lots of different adventures and finds herself questioning the Decepticon cause.

Megaempress and the Four Guards. For the love of all things good, please pull a Ruckley and write these ladies something decent because the Unite Warriors comics are terrible with them.

Autobot Javelin, sharpshooter and warrior! She has a really cool design and I think there are some really interesting ways you can take her character, especially if you bounce off the IDW2 story where she's traumatized from getting a head injury in combat!

Decepticon sleeper agent Flip Side. I want to see a dedicated story arc based off of her story with Blaster and how she deals with realizing her life was a lie.

Pyra Magna and the Torchbearers/Rust Renegades. While Victorion showed up in the Prime Wars trilogy, the separate components didn't seem to do so. I think either story from IDW1 or IDW2 would be fantastic story to explore in an animated story!

What female characters who've never been animated (or perhaps showed up for maybe 5 seconds) would you like to see?

This cover was super fun to work on with @VansZero (discord) love how it turned out and how they depicted the Everbright (that would be that blocky gray and blue ship in the upper right corner), and he made Road Rage's expression so memeable lmao we adore this piece. Also yes, the symbols on the Delta Leaguer's torsos? That's the Delta Forge (not actually named in the fic) symbol, ie the symbol of the Delta League (also known as the Anti-Vocation League), a reclamation of Solus Prime's forge hammer. cyan=tears pink=blood. Here's a zoom in on Arcee's and our rough draft for it that we gave VansZero:

The bait wasn't subtle but Chromia didn't bite. She bit her lip and her hands flexed.

Spacewarp loudly activated her airlock before Chromia could embarrass them both. "Well, until next time!"

"… Yeah," said Chromia, releasing the armrests. "Until then."

Been having scavs miniseries thoughts again (just thoughts, i lack any and all motivation to draw anything right now, someone save me 😭) and I was thinking about the additions to the scavengers as a group, like new friendos they meet and gather thruout their silly adventures lol

Mars "MP3" Palmer (working name, im not good with names...), recently unemployed guy following his dreams of being a musician, just wandering around taking whatever fun gigs he gets and is trying to find a life for himself, always has a guitar on him. I'm thinking like his outward vibe when you first see him is like punk biker dude, but he's actually chill af. Bro happened to be riding thru New Mexico (I think thats where the WAP was docked in the one-shot?) at the time a funny little spaceship filled with funny cons crash on Earth. Either that ooorr I could have the group meet him thru a holomatter avatar episode (smthn smthn brainstorm wants a thingy from earth, scavs take the job, funny human adventures ensue) but i feel like that'd be jampacking a lotta things into one, idk tho

But yeah MP3, made him music-y because well... his name. I think he'd be great buddies with Spinister!!! I liked their little interactions in Revolution and Spin would be fascinated with a human pal

Any thoughts on who should be the first female Decepticon in the Skybound Transformers/Energon Universe continuity? Hopefully it won’t take 15 years to get one like with IDW1 lol

So outside of them femme-ifying someone who was previously a dude, I'd love for them to dig out some of the female Decepticons who STILL have been hella overlooked even in the recent continuities that have a bit more M/F balance.

I guess the most likely is Slipstream, which I wouldn't be mad about. Or Shadow Striker who would probably be pretty fun in a similar role to Cyberverse.

BUT I'd love to see Spacewarp appear in a mainline continuity with her own arc. Her willingness to adventure and kind of "honourable"(ish) characterisation would be very fun to see explored more deeply and I think she could shine in some decentralised storytelling.

Come on Hasbro free my girl you know you want to make more toys.

i love being out of the loop on fan theories bc my WD Gaster headcanon has been the same for like eight years, namely that he was from a geographically separated population of No Face-esque inky amoeba creatures with mild psychic/spacewarping abilities and Rouxls is a hybrid species with no mask which is why he's weird and goopy

as someone who thinks chromia likes hammers as part of a WLW shtick this could also fit chromia/windblade or chromia/spacewarp or even chromia/ironhide (yes, ironhide has been a gal before in canon! In the Unicron trilogy as a minicon! her story is kinda sad....)

I love that practically every TF fan has a favorite character that they absolutely adore but like. Isn’t a really popular character. Like one of the ones that only had much development in one continuity, or even only have most of their information from toy bios. Mine’s Sunstorm.

Hm, I know I've had a few but am struggling to think of examples... I have rewritten a lot of character arcs in my main two wips in ways that necessitated changing several plot lines around, if that counts.

“I was-- if you’ll pardon the expression-- frozen out of so-called legitimate reporting,” Freezon finished in a blaze of emotion. “Autobot-sanctioned reporting, by then. And for what? Because I had the nerve to refuse to redefine myself on account of some incendiary young upstart who’d decided he owned our badge? Because you all took him at his word that he did?”

Arcee’s spark twisted on itself, rubbing raw her reluctance, and she could see Lug and Anode deflating as well. Her fingers had just twitched towards Freezon's stasis cuffs when Spacewarp synthesized a cough that seemed to echo around her cabin.

“Could be I’ve got this mixed up-- never did read much of the news,” Spacewarp said, “but weren’t you arrested and blacklisted for framing political detractors for murders that you committed, so you could break the news about them?”

Freezon went very still, as if it could hide her from the gaping, incredulous attention that Arcee, Lug and Anode had all turned onto her at once. Her fans clicked on a low setting and she audibly reset her vocoder.

“Murder is an awfully loaded word,” she said at last, “don’t you think?”

“Yeah, I used it for a reason,” Spacewarp said back.

Back in 2005(ish), Transformers Armada was airing on Saturday morning cartoons and I got completely obsessed with it. I'd found fanfiction.net while searching for Yu-Gi-Oh stories before, so I got into Armada and then G1 fanfiction and that was me for the next 2 decades. Armada is still very special to me :>

💬 - favourite obscure TF fact

Jazz's "special ops" persona/role was entirely fabricated by the fandom, extrapolating from a toy box that said he was "head of special operations" for decades before it finally officially turned up in canon with any further elaboration. I love how much fanon was built from some pretty bare bones content from G1 comics/cartoon/toy packaging and the way TF fanon influences canon as fans become official creators and/or Hasbro decision makers see cool fanon and fit it in!
