Chapter Summary:  As Julian plans for the grand opening of his clinic in Vesuvia, his relationship with his new apprentice, Bakuli, begins to grow deeper.

Chapter 4: A New Home

Julian sits at the bar of The Rowdy Raven, scribbling furiously on crinkly pieces of parchment he’s had wadded up in his pocket for most of the day. His shopping list is slowly diminishing, but there’s still a fair bit left that hasn’t been crossed off. The search for new clinic equipment has become rather pressing, as the doctor plans to officially open the doors starting next week. He has managed to secure a few exam tables, which will be delivered by the end of the week, and some glassware (vials, beakers, flasks, and things of that ilk).

Julian frowns when he totals up all his expenses from the day. He won’t have much money left in the way of furnishing the small apartment above the clinic. For now, all that matters is that it has at least a cot for him to sleep in and a pot for coffee. Otherwise, he can forgo all other luxuries he might want, until he’s got some extra income to spare. He’s rather used to living in more spartan conditions after stowing away on cargo and pirate ships. Julian is merely grateful the apartment isn’t infested with fleas and (hopefully) won’t have anyone threatening him at knifepoint in the middle of the night.

Julian is drawn from his thoughts when the little bell above the doorway tinkles gently. His attention wanes from list making when a familiar face greets him from the entry to the Raven...

Main 6 - Cuddle Headcanons

Cuddling positions are practically never ending with Asra. They love to just be close to you and doesn’t have much of a preference.

However, there are some cuddle positions that are preferred after a long day of existing.

One of them is him laying on your chest. Usually this is your way of helping them unwind, especially when you massage his scalp and play with his hair.

Other than that, just hearing your heartbeat and feeling the rise and fall of your chest comforts them, even after all that’s happened.

Then there’s the time when he just wants to show you that he loves you.

This usually prompts them to start kissing you all over your face and you end up falling into his arms, all bundled up by the warm blankets.

Honestly overall, they just love to cuddle in bed with you and whatever position you two end up laying in

Even if it isn’t always the same position you wake up in

Also bonus points if you end up letting Faust cuddle up with you two, she does get cold sometimes yknow

Which she most likely always does end up doing

In Nadia’s route, it’s noted that there is only once bed in the shop so it’s likely Asra and you share it even when you’re not cuddling

So most times he’d fall asleep from exhaustion near you, with faust slithering on him

Probably hugs you around your waist too

And if you try to strike a “sexy” pose he’ll laugh and play along

The worst

Ofc he’s not actually the worst Lucio still exists but the way he cuddles at times is a hit or miss

Especially since most times he ends up sprawling his limbs out wherever they can, usually ending up on top of you unless you spoon him.

When it’s actually enjoyable to cuddle with him, most times he enjoys being spooned or mutual holding.

We all know how self deprecating he is so might as well show him how well he can be loved, even if you’re shorter or smaller, that’s no excuse

Just don’t mind his long limbs

Regardless of how you choose to hold him, he’ll always hold onto you back. Now on the other end of the spectrum where it’s damn near torture-

He has no regard for you- in his sleep at least

Like bro is genuinely squishing you with his limbs, and you can’t even move them because you’re trapped 💔

He probably unknowingly hogs the blanket too since he’s slipped off the bed more times than he’d like to admit and has taken the blanket with him.

He has all his weight on it, making damn near impossible to get the blanket from under him, leaving you shivering and timbering in the cold

If you’d prefer to be the one held then he’d be more than happy to 😭 just be prepared for him to be pretty flustered by being the one “in charge”

He does apologize to you when he wakes up if he’s been squishing you, etc etc though

Mother

She definitely one of the LI that are on the podium of best cuddlers. she holds you so warm and tight it’s honestly the best.

She is not the type to be all that physically affectionate, which is honestly a bummer because her hugs and cuddles are the best ever.

Often times at the end of an exhausting day as countess, she loves to spoil you and hold you in her arms.

She’s more than happy to massage your scalp or shoulders, even feeding you some fruit would be sufficient

Sleep wise, she’s as elegant as she is when she’s awake. Her hair is somehow perfect (must be the rose colored lenses talking-) and she’s not a blanket hogger of any kind

She’s really considerate even in her sleep and she’ll randomly wake up in the middle of the night and look for you

If you’re not covered by the blanket, she’ll tuck you in and go back to bed.

Either that or she’ll also hold you in her arms depending on if she believes that you want your space.

Now, if you’re more a sprawler, always falling off the bed, or just not that pretty of a sleeper she find it super endearing

She’ll literally get up from her cozy place on the bed to help you back up. Even going as far as carrying you if that’s what would be more comfortable.

Now, we all know Nadia prefers to be the one “in charge” she prefers to pamper and that’s alright.

But, if you prefer to also show her your affection that same way she’ll be more than happy to oblige- although it’ll be done with a blush.

When cuddling Muriel is super gentle and is hyper aware because of his larger stature, making him scared at the possibility of hurting you.

Which, you have to reassure him would never happen because you’d be happy to be crushed by him

With your constant reassurance and how often you tend to flop yourself on top of him, he eventually just gets used to it.

Cuddle wise, he’s usually big spoon for obvious reasons, he’ll hold you against his chest too along with Inanna being sandwiched by you both.

Again, you tend to be the one laying on him and when he chooses to sleep on his back, you’re laying on his chest and just absorbing his warmth.

I think it’d be obvious, but Muriel would also enjoy being held aswell. When you confront him with the idea he’s flustered because not only has he never considered it but he’s so touch starved.

If you have him lay his head on your chest, being held in your arms or even go as far as have him be little spoon, well his blush is out of this world.

If anything, he’s just happy that you’d want him to feel loved, as if you being around him isn’t enough

It isn’t

He’s basically beet red and he just accepts the affection ,laying there with you because again, he loves it.

Whenever/ if he tries to argue and say that he’s too big or whatever just say that you want him 🔛🔝 of you and just watch him squirm and get so flustered that he forgets

He ends up inevitably bringing it up again, so just cuddle the man

Sleep wise, Muriel is also really considerate. He tries not to take as much space and if you end up subconsciously tugging a blanket that he’s on, he’ll immediately move to give it to you.

Treat him well.

Yes, yes, yes, just yes

She’s the absolute best person to cuddle with, she’s such a cuddle bug and honestly neither of you guys have a preference most times and so it ends in just cuddling however.

Most times it’s either of you on the others chest. Mostly it’s Portia that enjoys having you rest on her and she enjoys playing with your hair or just massaging your scalp.

She’s more than happy to be the big spoon if that’s what you prefer, maybe she’d even tease you for being so “bold” as to ask.

Ironic considering that the instant that you insist on coddling her she’s flushed from head to toe.

Literally almost literally every time you two cuddle she’ll always put a leg over you.

Just a quirk of hers that you’ve noticed and a definite plus is how warm she is which causes you to cling to her.

Which definitely warrants some teasing for clinging onto her like some koala. She finds it endearing though and is definitely worth is since she ends up peppering kisses all over your face

Is it really cuddling with Portia if you exclude Pepi? No, no it’s not

Pepi is so cute!! It’s a well known fact and she’ll always end up crawling and making her way through the bundle of blankets to rest her little self in between you and Portia.

Sleep wise, Portia is also a hit or miss 😭

She’ll either cling to you in her sleep while also being considerate so it’s not bothersome

Or she’ll sleep lazily and drool a bit, causing her to be a bit embarrassed once she finally wakes up.

The worst motherfucker to cuddle with, EVER (up to interpretation whether it’s said with love)

Like he sleeps in either of two ways and neither of them are necessarily the best.

The first way is him being all lovey dovey and cuddly with you while the second one makes you wish death (again) upon him.

The first one is admittedly really nice. He’s in your arms and just being the needy, clingy bastard we all know Lucio to be.

It’s not so nice because of how this doesn’t change even during the summer time. You’ll definitely end up getting a heatstroke because of him clinging onto you one day.

That’s just the first way though.

The second way is him being sprawled out all over you without a care in the world.

His limbs are so freaking heavy too, it’s not like you could escape even if you desperately wanted to.

Worst part? He steals the fucking blanket all the time

Literally refuses to let go of his weirdly tight grip on the blanket in his sleep, leaving you shivering and timbering all night.

And then he has the audacity of getting mad at you for pushing him off the bed.

The Arcana when they walk in on you changing:

Asra: When he walks in and sees you, he quickly looks away and asks if he can grab something real quick. If you say yes he will grab whatever he went in there for and quickly leave. If you say no, he will immediately leave and respect your privacy. He will apologize later on for just walking in there without knocking.

Julian: He will smirk but then become aware that you might be uncomfortable. So he leaves and closes the door and speaks with you from behind the door. “Sorry about that Darling, I don’t know what came over me. Please forgive me.” He waits until you're done getting dressed to do whatever he needs to do.

Muriel: He walks in not even noticing you at first, you're frozen staring at him in horror. Once he meets your eyes, he too freezes and blushes. He quickly looks away and mutters out a “Sorry” before rushing out of the hut. When he returns he apologizes about a hundred times before he accepts that you have forgiven him.

Lucio: Has no shame at all. He walks in, compliments you, stares, then leaves. You yell at him later on about how that wasn’t very polite, but all he does is shrugs. If it really bothers you, you will have him sit down and have a long conversation with him for him to not be doing these things when you are not comfortable yet.

He listens to your explanation, never breaking eye contact. He understands, he’s a doctor, he talks you through it

When you’re having an attack, he’s quick to ground you and help you seek a good therapist

Protective asf, he will not let you do anything alone since it makes you nervous.

Learns every one of your triggers so he can prevent them, whether that’s stopping himself from doing it or someone else

Holds you and cries about what you’ve been through, promises to never let it happen again

Portia;

Post-traumatic- down-syndrome? (Tiktok reference)

Nah but she isn’t certain what that is or what it means, but she DOES read about it and teaches herself what it all entails

Asks julien for further knowledge and how to help

Asks if you need space, to talk, advice, or just her company

In the middle of your attacks, she rubs you. Whether it’s your hand, your back, carding her fingers through your hair, she’s anchoring you back to the ground again

Asks what you need from her when you’re anxious

“Reassurance? Quality time? A listening ear—a shoulder? I have two of those!”

Muriel;

He understands you more then anyone. And funny enough, your anxiety seems to go hand in hand with his own

You’re damn right people are scary!! And loud noises are overwhelming!! And you’re angry and scared and just want to feel safe!! Him too!!

He isn’t the best at staying grounded, honestly he’s still learning healthy coping mechanisms

But when he sees you struggling, he finds himself in the clearest state of mind. He listens, he’s nurturing, and very intuitive.

Smiles so soft and so warm when you calm down from an episode, never pushes you to talk

Sometimes, you panic together about the same thing. Something about seeing someone you love feel the same way as you do….feels like home. You’re not dramatic, you’re more in control then you originally thought, and you’re cared for. Just as you care for him, he cares for you

Nadia;

She’s very good at rationalizing your racing thoughts, using logic to soothe your panic when it seems to be becoming too much

Uses her hands to massage the tension out of your muscles and help you process and work through the feelings you’re having

Aromatherapy, 100%

Reserved a spa day for you, just you and her, no one else. She knows the company of the servants would make you mask

Probably offers to buy you an exotic animal just so you have someone at your side if she’s away when you spiral

Lucio;

This man probably tells you to calm down, not realizing that’s making it worse.

Blubbers an apology immediately after, stuttering wildly as he waves his arms frantically

“No! Don’t cry—-! Hey, darling, it’s alright! What’s happened? My love, can you look at me? Show me those gorgeous eyes, there you go, wonderful. Now, what’s gotten you so upset?”

Thinks someone’s responsible, fully plans on lynching them as soon as he’s figured out the culprit

If your trigger is an inanimate object, he WILL destroy it. And yell at the servants not to trigger you

Drapes his cape over you so you feel sheltered and calm, so you can hide if you don’t want to be seen but don’t want to be alone

Definitely glares at anyone who attempts to call you emotional or puts you down for a natural reaction to trauma

Showers you in compliments, covers the mirrors in little affirmations with lipstick

Asra;

He knew. He’s always known. Even before you did.

He’s very patient, extremely passive and cautious

He educates others on your behalf so you’re never in an unwanted situation or triggered on accident

Reminds you to take medicine, eat, drink water, etc

Asks the arcana to guide you and offer you wisdom and clarity

Constantly ensures you’re never in a night terror/flashback

Can immediately tell when your anxiety spikes, doesn’t even ask before he brings you into the shop in a controlled and familiar environment and asks to talk

Even the jewels that always color coordinate with your outfit palette has some sort of underlying memory connected to them.

Prepare to get showered with the finest, most intricately detailed accessories that Nadia associates with your shared memories.

Small mechanical inventions for your familiar. Like the little toys she made for Chandra.

Just as much as she pampers you, Nadia spares no expense in both monetary value and thought value to the things she creates for your familiar.

Your familiar is never going to feel bored within the Palace grounds, what with both Chandra and Nadia's little inventions to keep them company when you aren't there.

Light silk clothes in your preferred color palette, while the Vesuvian weather makes velvet and other similar fabrics impractical-

Nadia is well versed with the versatility of silk with the heat.

The silks she gifts you are to be imported from Praka, she will settle for gifting you no other silks but the finest kind in all the world.

Scrapbooks is the vibe that comes to mind whenever the gift is from Asra.

For his presents are a mix of both learning, and simple sentimentalities.

There are still times where he goes on his own adventures and whenever he does, he never fails to bring back a tricket (Or five) which had reminded him of you in some way.

A leatherbound journal, with a burnt in pattern. For note taking when you're working on spell adjustments.

A small gemstone imbued with a protection spell, or a spell for luck, or healing- That has been fashioned into a necklace.

Herbs that he dries himself.

Self-made tea blends that he has subjected himself to tasting before handing you the perfected blends.

Matching knitted sweaters for you and your familiar, imbued with temperature regulation spells.

Spell tomes he bought, read, and then annotated with possible helpful tips, or everyday commentary to make your learning easier and more fun.

Julian Devorak:

Tomfoolery. That's it. That's his type of gifts.

A pun book, that he had somehow managed to talk Malak into gently dropping on you.

A sealed bottle with a preserved leach inside, reminiscent of the time you both thought to bathe in a suspiciously muddled pond.

He buys small journals, and writes down his adventure stories within them before handing them over to you.

Sometimes he'd send you a "Doctor's Prescription" that contain sweet gestures such as ten hugs a day, four kisses per hour, a "Nap" with him that lasts at least 12 hours-

Julian is an actor, a performer, an artist, a man of the arts. He always comes up with a new way to make a gift unique from the rest despite them being almost the same in form.

You now have a slowly growing folder of all the Doctor's Prescriptions you have been prescribed.

Thankfully, you only have a single bottle of leech and there is no indication that there will ever be another one.

Muriel the Outsider:

Handmade. Everything he gifts you is made with love, adoration, and quiet devotion driving his hands.

Sculptures both realistic and abstract, with the wood carefully polished to bring out the unique patterns.

Spice blends foraged and dried by himself from when he goes foraging in the forest every month.

Very seldomly, he gifts you flowers that he dried himself. Whenever he finds some that he likes the colors of.

He doesn't gift you dried flowers often, he appreciates nature and it's bounty but finds it hard to see any flowers as beautiful enough to be given to you.

Home cooked meals that Muriel tries his best to perfectly season and cook to your preferences.

Whenever trading caravans pass by Vesuvia, Muriel heads into the city and does his best to peruse each and every cart. Looking for something that might "Speak" to him as something that suffices as a gift for you in his eyes.

If there is no specific thing that meets his standard, then he'll look for materials in the carts instead so that he can make you something.

Portia Devorak:

Literature; Portia learned to read and write quite late in life, those two skills have become an integral part of who she is and what she sees as art and worthy of praise.

She writes you verses, poems, short stories- and she scatters them in the nooks and crannies of your shared home for you to find unexpectedly.

The paper is always subconsciously imbued with her magic. Whenever you touch the paper, you end up getting a glimpse into what she was feeling for you when she wrote the piece.

She gifts you books of stories she always comes back to, and books about the history, customs, and culture of the places you and her are sent as Emissaries to.

She makes sure to read through these books herself first, inserting slips of paper with her own viewpoints on a particular scene, or poems inspired by the scene (and the fact that she imagined both of you in it).

She also makes sure to always get you a box of the most delicious looking and smelling treat in the bakeries you visit on your Emmisary trips.

Lucio / Montag Morgasson:

The World. (No, Lucio does not get you the world turtle- As cute as they may be.)

He is no longer the Count, he has renounced that stature in favor of being a mercenary once more.

On your excursions, Lucio takes the time to sit down and take in the sights with you. Talking about everything and little nothings all at once.

Sometimes he sneaks in a purchase when you're both in the marketplace stocking up on supplies, stuffing it into his pack when your back is turned.

He never knows where or when he's going to give it to you on your adventures, but he knows that he'll know when the time is right.

Lucio picks flowers from the paths you're walking to place it either in your hair, or he pins it to your shirt.

If you get sad when it inevitably wilts away, Lucio reassures you that it's nothing to be sad about because the memory of your happiness from receiving the flower will metaphorically be keeping it alive.

If you find a way to preserve it with magic, he'll buy a sturdy box (He also asks you to enchant it with a few spells for extra safety) in which to keep all the flowers taken from your journey.

Once the box is full, it finds a place on the mantle of your shared home.

Asra

He's sooo in tune with MC it's crazy. (I blame their half of his heart.)

Once they notice that MC is starting to get overwhelmed, which is usually right away, they'll usually try to hurry along whatever they're doing to get them out of there.

If the MC needs quiet, he'll usually take them back to the shop. If thats not possible, he'll cup their ears. MC knows he's using magic because whatever sounds they were hearing just fall away.

Faust is their girl!! Her scales are super chilly and feel so silly with how much she wiggles. If they need something to touch she'll happily volunteer!

If MC doesn't want Faust squeezing around them, they can always have Asra's hat or scarf.

Asra understands that sometimes people just need some time alone, so if MC needs that they'll find something to occupy their time.

Julian

He might be a doctor but he's never been the best at coping mechanisms or anything remotely related.

Julian is the man for distractions and running away. So long as MC isn't so overwhelmed they can't run. (he might just try to carry them with him.)

If MC needs a certain scent to ground themselves, he's got his coat! It smells vaguely like a mix of herbs and a bomb of spices.

Julian can only do so much if sound is the issue, he's not got enough practice with magic like Asra. If need be he'll cover your ears or take you somewhere secluded.

He can offer his palm to trace if MC needs something to touch.

If MC needs time alone to decompress, he can go see Mazelinka and Portia. (and maybe get them to team up on some of that magic soup for you)

Nadia

She understands pretty well. Her experience after she woke up was very overwhelming for a time.

She'll try to take you to her tower, away from the noises of the palace. The water makes it sound so peaceful.

She also offers her tower as a place to decompress. Being the Countess, she can't fully disappear. If they need time alone they can absolutely get it there.

If MC truly needs something to touch or work on something with their hands, Nadia does have quite a lot of hair they could braid.

Nadia doesn't have anything on her person to offer to focus on a scent, but she will offer her hood regardless. If the MC focuses enough they can smell the fancy hair products from the palace baths.

Muriel

He might be the absolute best person to go to for this. We all know this man gets overwhelmed with too many people around.

Depending on what they need Muriel and Inanna got them covered!

Muriel will offer his fur coat if they need it. It smells distinctly like myrrh and pine trees.

MC needs something to touch or burry their fingers in? Inanna's got a whooole coat of fur conveniently laying on their lap all of the sudden!

If MC needs to be alone they're in the perfect place. His hut is literally in the forest. He'll just go sit with the chickens while they decompress.

Muriel can't do too much about sound if that's what is overwhelming MC. He'll likely call Asra over if thats the case.

Portia

Her cottage is the most peaceful place around the palace. She'll lead you there if you need to get away from crowds or overwhelming noise.

MC can absolutely pet Pepi if they need! Pepi could act as a motorboat with all the purring action going on.

Portia will wrap MC in her blankets. They smell like fresh laundry and bread.

Being Nadia's Personal Handmaiden, she can't fully disappear from the palace. If you need her, she'll stay as long as she can. If you need space, she'll go back to work with the promise that you come get her or send Pepi if you need her!

Lucio

He's trying his absolute best and that is what matters here.

Lucio's only gotten overwhelmed when he had to literally face his fears and all his mistakes. But he takes the lesson to heart and applies it here.

He doesn't get a chance to react if MC needs something to touch to get themselves grounded again. Melchior and Mercedes got this covered.

Lucio would offer them his cape if he has it on him, it smells like wherever they're adventuring but there's a cologne-y undertone to it.

If sound is the issue, he literally just holds his hands over their ears. Not the most effective but an A for effort Lucio!

If they need time alone he makes a goofy show of going to a random spot some ways away and walking in a circle. Nutcracker style. He won't come back until they're either laughing at him or telling him to cut it out and get back over there.

Lucio’s sleep that night is restless. He lies awake, staring vacantly at a sliver of moonlight that has strayed through his curtains and dared to cast its pale light across the floor. A sudden weight pressing into the mattress beside Lucio draws him from his haze. Thinking perhaps Nadia had crept into the room, Lucio turns to face her, but in the turbid darkness, all he can see is a shadowy figure staring down at him from where they sit. Eyes bore into him, a dull red glow emanating from their sockets. Lucio feels his limbs seize as he gapes back at the unsettlingly familiar figure, frozen in fear.

Chapter 15, The Plague: Ghosts of Ember and Ash

Lucio’s room reeks of sorrow and the sickly scent of fever. He is buried under his bedsheets, chin prickly with stubble and eyes crusted with salt and gunk. He is an utter wreck. Lucio does not remember the last time he saw the sun nor the last time he ate. His shriveled stomach aches with hunger and his dry mouth yearns for the sweet relief of water. His spirit hovers above him, watching as his pathetic body lies motionless in bed, too weary and broken to put any effort in anymore.

Time has had little to no meaning since the death of the Apprentice. In fact, Lucio cannot remember how much time has passed since he watched their frail body, covered only by a thin, white sheet, get carted off to the Lazaret. It is well known around Vesuvia that the Count has lost himself to fever, to delirium, and deep sorrow. Months seem to pass with Lucio hardly leaving his room, holed up in the darkness with the curtains drawn and the door firmly shut. His bedroom stinks of devastation, the musty, stuffy scent permeating the very tapestries on the walls. Rage surges through his veins. The hateful creature in Lucio’s heart feeds upon his desolation. It grows with every passing hour, hungrier and hungrier as he simmers in illness and despair. Wronged by his subjects. Wronged by the Devil. Wronged by the only people he thought truly cared for him...

ASRA & FAUST

asra’s familiar, faust, the purple serpent, is initially intrigued by the ferret, her slitted eyes narrowing in curious appraisal

your ferret always scampers around, and faust coils lazily, her serpentine body mimicking the agile movements of the smaller creature.

sometimes asra chuckles, “looks like she’s found a new friend. quite the playful duo, aren’t they?” he’ll say as he wraps his arm around your waist and watches your magical companions play around

when your ferret attempts to engage faust in a game of chase, she playfully sways away, matching the lively energy with a surprising amount of enthusiasm

there’s never a dull moment when the four of you are alll together, and of course, your fluffly companion along with faust make it a mission to keep you and asra on your toes

JULIAN & MALAK

malak, julian’s raven, will definitely eye the ferret with a haughty demeanor, as if unimpressed by its presence.

though your ferret, undeterred by his aloofness, constantly attempts to engage in a game of hide-and-seek, which causes the raven to caw disapprovingly

“well, malak, it seems you’ve got some competition for mischief in the house,” julian would tease while watching the dynamic between the two familiars

LUCIO & MERCEDES & MELCHIOR

mercedes and melchior, the two white borzoi girl dogs, initially view your new familiar with curiosity and indifference.

the ferret, with its boundless energy, tries to initiate a game of tag with the elegant borzois, causing them to elegantly dodge its advances.

lucio would grin, “seems like the dogs have a lively new companion. quite the trio we have here!”

as the ferret curls up beside the borzois, lucio pats them all affectionately. “is this okay, my lovely trio?” he asks, receiving a chorus of approving barks.

NADIA & CHANDRA

chandra, the sophisticated and stuck-up owl familiar, regards the ferret with a disdainful hoot, clearly unimpressed by the smaller creature’s antics.

your ferret, undeterred by chandra’s attitude, continues its playful escapades, earning an eye roll from the regal owl.

nadia smirks, “it appears chandra has found a challenger to her elegance. quite the lively addition to the court, don’t you think?”

your familiar, seemingly unfazed by the owl’s haughtiness, curls up next to her. nadia chuckles, “well, it seems they’ve reached a truce, at least for now.”

PORTIA & PEPI

pepi, portia’s cat familiar, eyes the ferret with so much curiosity, yet with mild irritation, unimpressed by its energetic demeanor.

your small companion, seemingly oblivious to pepi’s disapproval, tries to engage the cat in a game of pouncing, earning an annoyed swat in response.

portia gasps, “pepi!” she exclaims, calmly scolding her own familiar as she’s quick to coddle yours.

when your ferret curls up next to pepi, portia grins, ”is this okay?” pepi responds with an aloof purr, a sign of reluctant acceptance.

MURIEL & INNANA

innana, muriel’s gray female wolf familiar, observes the ferret with a stoic gaze, her tail flicking with mild interest.

your ferret, undeterred by her imposing presence, attempts to engage her in a game of tag, earning a patient tolerance from the wolf.

muriel, with a rare smile, simply murmurs, “that’s more her speed.”

as the ferret nuzzles against innana’s fur, muriel ruffles both their heads. “is this okay, innana?” he asks, receiving a quiet but affirmative huff from the wolf.
