Fanfic Writer 20 Questions!
Was tagged by @lumiereandcogsworth
1. how many works do you have on ao3? None. One completed story on fanfiction.net and a bunch of one shots and drabbles on Tumblr and Patreon
www.trulyhopelessromantic.tumblr.com/fanfics should have most of them linked
2. what’s your total ao3 word count? 0 though I'd love to know what my word count is ^_^
3. how many fandoms have you written for and what are they? Haha well this is difficult to say. Let's list as many as I can remember.
Lucifer TV show
Lethal Weapon TV show
The Old Guard
Us
Beauty & the Beast 1991
Nightmare Before Christmas (crossover with other fandoms)
My So Called Life (crossover)
Harry Potter/Wizarding World
Inkheart series
True Blood (crossover)
Marvel/Avengers
The Haunted Mansion
Digimon
Phantom of the Paradise
Critical Role
Jonah Hex (I think I got a request once for Michael Fassbender in that movie...?)
Sherlock BBC (and Victorian AU)
The Great Mouse Detective
The Nutcracker Prince (retelling)
4. what are your top five fics by kudos?
I'd say my Haunted Manor fanfic is top commented on in my entire life. Find it through @thehauntedmanor coz I'm on mobile and too lazy to go get the link lol
Otherwise I'm not sure. I don't have a place that shows me top comments/likes on my works coz they're on various platforms.
BUT
THIS IS NOT TO SAY I AM WEIRDED OUT BY NEW COMMENTS IN FACT THE OPPOSITE I WELCOME THEM ON ANY WORK NO MATTER HOW OLD
5. do you respond to comments? why or why not?
Always. I appreciate readers and their thoughts and the fact that they took the time to say something makes me smile so I always return with my own response! Granted occasionally I'm blindsided by criticism and it's harder to know how to respond
6. what’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?
Probably my Nutcracker Prince retelling story which had criticism as aforementioned in the previous question and because 1 I didn't know the trope the commenter spoke about and 2 because they were and still are the only one to comment I have lost some confidence in wanting to share that story as openly as I have in the past.
I have angsty fics tho I just thought of that one first. One of my Frankenstein one shots got pretty depressing too. I'm all about angst most of the time despite giving happy endings most often in my larger stories lol
7. do you write crossovers?
Yeah for one shots. Most of mine are quite old though I don't do crossovers very often anymore
8. have you ever received hate on a fic?
Unfortunately. I have been called passive aggressive for asking for reviews after which they tore apart the chapter I'd released. I've had someone accuse me of writing something merely for shock value and in the process also possibly offend a marginalized community. I've had someone call me out for using "inappropriate language" for the disabled community. All of the comments were points of consideration but the way they were given to me shocked me and hit my self esteem a bit.
9. do you write smut? if so, what kind?
Not really though perhaps in the future I may try again. My Daughter of Death story in particular had a NSFW chapter that I released alongside a more SFW one.
10. have you ever had a fic stolen?
God I hope not.
11. have you ever had a fic translated?
That would be amazing but no.
12. have you ever co-written a fic before?
Yep both privately and publicly. The public ones are all listed again on that fanfics page on my Tumblr
13. what’s your all-time favorite ship?
How dare you. My username tells you I cannot choose just one. I've probably written most for Belle and her Prince from 1991 but I'd have to double check my listing of fics haha
14. what’s a wip that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?
Back in the day I started a Digimon fanfic (still on ff.net) but I doubt I'd ever get back to it
15. what are your writing strengths?
Great at dialogue and character feelings and motivations I'd say. I also like to make scenarios make plausible sense so I try to write fanfiction as close to canon as possible which prevents me sometimes from being confident in writing characters that someone else has made
16. what are your writing weaknesses?
I'm not strong with always describing setting honestly lol
17. what are your thoughts on writing dialogue in another language?
I'll do it and mostly when it feels strong to put it in and/or when it's easy for the audience to understand the context of what's being said
18. what was the first fandom you ever wrote for?
Erm probably The 10th Kingdom honestly when I wrote the characters for a "survival story" assignment in grade 6
19. what’s your favorite fic you’ve ever written?
I'm playing favourites with The Haunted Manor because it's the longest fic and the one I'm so proud of and the one people have actually given great feedback for. I reread it myself from time to time
20. who do you tag? (no pressure of course <3)
In this assignment? lol anyone who is interested in taking the time ♡♡♡

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The sound of more breaking glass was the first thing that set Arizona on edge. That a bunch of outlaws were running around town was never a good thing. That she was one of the few girls working on the bar tonight was also unnerving her. Height was never at Arizona’s advantage, coming up to an average female height being 5"3'. The bustling crowds in full swing as she tried to barge through the crowds to get to the bar. Her dress tatty as she had it dragged on the floor. The smell of whiskey was very familiar as Arizona heard the smash of glass. Her body soon stood up as she stormed out into the bustling bodies. Her eyes soon lit up at the familiar sight of Quentin Turnbull’s right-hand man. His eyebrow quirked up as he saw her coming through the crowds.
Arizona looked on the scene, her boots mud covered, that's what you get when you're working as a barmaid instead of a prostitute. Her deep red dress old and well-worn, her corset pushing her breasts up as her tone annoyed as she spoke. “Burke, I thought you were moving off from here?” her eyes rolled as she kept her eyes stared at him. His coat hung up on the hooks with his bowler hat. His distinctive Irish accent was audible as he retorted back to her. “Is that right, Missy? Don't you think you're getting into someone else's business.” Arizona soon crossed her arms over her breasts. Her attitude was unfriendly as she stood up to the same man who was definitely dangerous. But she was going to stand up to him. “Yes, but you're in a saloon you're not supposed to be in, are you Mr. Burke?” That was when she heard a scoff coming from his mouth before he stood up. His height towering over hers as she soon saw him turn on his heel, grabbing his coat and bowler hat. Not before whispering as he passed Arizona. “You might have won today Missy, but you wait until I Can get my hands on your body properly, eh.” His grin unsettled her as he finished speaking. But not before tipping his bowler hat up at her before going into the night.
Arizona shook her head before slamming the door of the saloon shut. Her hand reached for the shotgun as she fired it up to the ceiling. “Anyone else wanting to cause a fight tonight, or wants a drink at all the bar is closing in ten minutes.” the customers soon scattered as she started serving up the whiskey for patrons who wanted it. Her corset got uncomfortable as she kept trying to raise it up against her breasts. Unknown on what is happening for the night ahead of her as she finishes up the last errands of her night. Most of the patrons leaving drunk, or at least not sober. Her hand went to the broom as she grabbed it to sweep the floor.  The broken glass of bottles and other items that could injure others. The sound of boots on the front porch decking. Arizona shouted out to the night before she turned her back to the flooring. “Saloons closed for the night, sorry boys!”
There was soon a soft “tsk tsk” that Arizona could hear as she put the broom away. That was before she heard the cock of a gun behind her. Her body whirled around as she stared down at the barrel of a gun. The man behind it was Burke, his black tattoos even more menacing than normal as he cocked his eyebrow up at her. “See Missy, I said we would meet again, didn't I?” his bowler hat still on as he cocked her wicked grin. His eyes watching her as she whistled a slight tone of a song. Arizona gave a small smile before she ducked under Burke's shotgun. “And why are you back here Burke, isn’t your leader looking for you right now?” his dark brown striped waistcoat had a tear in it. The next thing Arizona saw was Burke's hunting knife out of his knife sheath. The silver blade sharp as it held to her jugular, “not back chatting now are we Missy?” His grin was disturbing as he placed the knife down against her corset. Heavy breathing could be heard as Burke looked her up and down. His head shaking as he reached for her dark brown locks, his fingers running through them. He whispered into her ear. “Now you never told me your name did you Missy, unless you want to be dubbed Missy. When I take you back to Quentin, sure he would enjoy you?” Arizona gulped as she felt Burke's knife reach under her breast, quickly making work of the fabric above them. Burke's blue eyes watched her in every moment as he bites down on her earlobe. “See Missy, you're going to get 3 seconds to give me your name before I blow your brains out.” Arizona let out a slight whimper. Burke pressed the gun barrel to her head, his voice calm as he started on the countdown, “3….” she soon blurted it out, “Arizona…. My name is Arizona you can stop calling me Missy now ok Mr.Burke.” His grin came back as he put his finger up under her chin, before brushing his finger over her lips. “Maybe I will keep you for myself, Arizona.” Her body released a shiver down her spin as she looked at his black tattoos.
“What are we going to do with you, Arizona? You are not married, definitely not received a child, and you're waiting to get hitched. Perhaps wanting to be taken interest in by a rich trader.” Arizona sobbed as he reached behind her body. The leather strings of her corset loosening as Burke devilishly grinned at Arizona's look. Her hair covering most of her back as his knife scraped at the red fabric on her breasts. His hand holding her lower stomach as he whispers in her ear. “you would make an amazing mother, you know that Arizona?” His comment confused her as he kept hold of her flat stomach, his knife back in the sheath as he carried on looking at her. “darling you need to marry a husband, one who can keep you safe in all stages of your life.”
With this Arizona soon ran. She was confused about her body being affected by his touch and voice. Unknown to what he was meaning, nothing can be good when a dangerous criminal. Is interested in you, let alone one of Quentin turnbulls. she had to leave the town in the morning, it would be safer for everyone who once knew her. Especially now that she had Burke interested in her now. The fabric that was cut dangled down as she ran from the saloon. If Burke had any ideas where she was heading, she was screwed. But she did not think that he would follow her as she ran into the dark night. Her chest was heaving at the time she reached her safe house. Her dresses and other clothes crammed into a bag. The only clothing that was left out was a very masculine outfit, her way out to be slipping into the night.
The last thing that Arizona saw as she stole someone else's horse before kicking the horse on as she galloped out of the small town. Her small pistol attached to her hip as she made sure to be gone from the town by morning. Her hat just about calming her hair as she left a dust trail behind her. She would head north, if anything told her to be careful going up north with a horse. Would have been safer than going down south. Her clothing was the heaviest bit of her packing, as she kept the small pouch of coins in her bag. in case of any proper difficulty. The horse was holding steady as she dismounted her steed. Letting the horse grab a drink as she sat down on the sandy soil by the river. Her boots left on as she moved her hat to shade her eyes from the sun. The bliss of being outside as she looked at the tree that sat shading her. The sound of a train very close as she remounted her horse carrying on with reaching the nearest town. Arizona might have been close to if at all close to civilisation.
Arizona squeezed the horse on as she watched an immense bunch of cowboys following a train. The tracks had someone on as Arizona kept her head low. The person on the train tracks looked familiar.  She tried to avoid the large herd of horses and cowboys coming out for her. If Burke caught her going tail between her legs back, she could not let him win at all, even if he followed her. She would be well ahead of him by the time she had gone over the mountains. The afternoon sun was high in the sky by the time that Arizona got into the higher peaks of the mountains. The rivers and lakes have sparse rarity. Arizona kept her eye half behind her to make sure nobody had followed her.
By the time dusk had fallen, Arizona was coming down from the mountain peaks. Her body cold as she saw what looked like the remains of a campfire as her body stayed on edge. The sound of shots alerted her that someone was there. Her body slipped back into the shadows as she stayed behind some bushes. The similar Irish accent came as she felt a knife at her neck. “Give it up you're caught, either we can settle this business now or the noose can come?” The tip of the knife poking into her chest, leaving a slight nick in her pale skin. Arizona soon stood up, her body in full view for burke as he kept a devilish grin on her as he spoke again. “Gotcha missy, this time I Can keep a hold on you.” The holler from another voice over the other side of the bushes. Burke placed a bit of fabric and his knife between her lips. “Burke are you there?” Burke stood up as he walked out from the other side of the bushes. His eyes set on the shadow of Arizona as she tucked behind the bushes. Her body cold as she tried to avoid having more confrontation from burke. Moving herself against the cold mountainous terrain. What made her stop was the tall shadow behind her, another man from the looks of it. The last thing she felt before a rifle butt knocked her out from behind her.
Dazed by her surroundings, Arizona woke as she surveyed the surrounding room. Her hands wriggled as she realized that rope bound them around her wrists. That she had something holding her legs in position as well, most likely also by rope. The heavy sigh from her mouth almost prompted someone inside. Burke soon opened the door, his grin more demonequse than normal as Arizona spat at his feet. “You little son of a bitch, you have taken my livelihood away. That you found me is easy enough, but tying me up be serious you can’t even get that damn grin off your face.” At this Burke burst out laughing. His grin reaching up to his eyes as he was very amused by Arizona. “Missy you're  in the situation that I could make you a damn whore at this rate you're going.” Arizona gasped before retorting a reply to him. “You would never Burke at this rate you're going to keep me for yourself. You said it yourself after all.” Burke soon smirked at this comment from Arizona. “I will still, depends on if you're going to be a good whore.”
Arizona was uncomfortable as the slight stench of whiskey came from his breath. His blue eyes watched her, amused from the reaction that she was having next to him. The room was old, the smell of musty damp wooden planks was one she was familiar to her. The smell of recently fired shotgun cartridges. Arizona was cold, her skin paler than it is, and her lips tinged with blue from her outfit. Her body shivered as she looked up at Burke's face. “Can I get a change of clothes at least burke?” He looked at her with one eyebrow quirked up as he chuckled again. His hand reached for his knife as he looked at her again before speaking. “I don’t trust that you're not going to run away again, whore, you know what that means?” Arizona shook her head again trying to deflect his question. “No, burke, why would you think that?” His reply was short and sharp, very blunt and to the point. “Cause that’s what you did the last time, and we found Yeh, didn’t we, you filthy whore.” with this burke flicked his knife out and faced Arizona. “I know your not stupid now give it up, what do you think we are going to do with you?” his face in a grin as he looked at her, his knife thrown up in the air as he caught it with the handle again.
The palpable tension in the room was noticeable as there was a knock to the door before a voice spoke out. “Burke are you done in their we have to get a fucking move on soon.” Unknown to the man's voice behind the door. Burke stormed over to it and opened his shotgun at the door. The last thing that Arizona saw is the loud sound of a shot, right through the other outlaws’ head. Burke's face turned back to her as she looked at the blood spattered face of burke. His bowler hat still in perfect place as Arizona screamed. “You killed someone innocent!” With this he turned the barrel of a shotgun to her. “Now missy, if we are going to come with us, you're going to need to be quiet about that ok, whore? Don’t mention anything about it, otherwise you know what you will be doing for the rest of your life.” With this, the ropes to Arizona’s chair were cut. Not before burke saw Arizona soon nod her head as she did not retort her mouth back to him. “Good girl, now come on we have some business to do.” Arizona muttered to herself. “What business can be more important than being a demon.” her face was completely straight. She had thought that she had got away with it, but she soon walked into Burke's back. His body taught as he turned around to her, the knife pointing to under her chin as his eyes watched her. “Take it back, whore?” The sound through gritted teeth through his lips as he stared at her before reaching for her arms.
Arizona gulped as she was hauled over to the wooden shack wall. Her back thudded very against the wood. nails poking into her back from the old shack as she felt the large blade nick her cheek. The sharp scratch was a mark on her skin now, but the blood was welling up from the slight cut he gave her. “Now whore you're going to behave, aren’t you?” her body wiggled as he wedged her into the walls more, his tone menacing as he looked straight down at her.
Her cheeks were flushed at this stage, not only was she trying for her freedom. She was also very aware of the tense atmosphere that was around her currently. Another voice soon came through as Burke looked almost a talk and you're dead glare at Arizona. He turned to the door before opening the door again. “Mr. Burke, there is this strange suitcase, sitting outside with ladies’ clothes in. Do we have a visitor or something going to happen?” Burke answered, “yes and if you don’t want your head blown off, get out now.” The man soon went scurrying as Burke turned his head to Arizona again. “So missy, any suggestions or ideas what I am going to do with you?”
Arizona whimpered as Burke snaked closer to her, his body covering hers. His lips ghosting over her lips as he kissed her, his eyes watching her as he muttered into her lips. “Your mine, Arizona. You might not know it yet but you're going to marry me as I watch you raising our children? You understand that missy.” Arizona soon spat at him. Her eyes hurt as she retorted a reply to him. “Never, burke, I will never be your wife.” She lifted her hand as her hand striked his face. Her body soon turned as she ran to the nearest open window, the tiny crack of the window enough. To fit her slender body shimmy through her hand was grabbed. Her head flicked back to the window to show Burke glaring at her. His smile turned into a tortuous grin as she stared at his tattooed arm. “You leave now, missy I will hunt you down. I Am going to have fun with our little game. Now either you can leave and we will find you or you can come back in and be a good missy and not make a fool of yourself?” Her first thought was that of running away and joining up with no one taking the traders route into town. Arizona had a niggling thought in her mind that if she ran. There was also a high likelihood of Burke catching her again. Another voice brought her out of her thought process as she tugged her hand away from his, only to get another hand put over her mouth. Her body wiggled and struggled as she tried to get out of the unknown person. Who grabbed her, but not before she heard the distinct Irish accent of him. “Bring her in we have an occasion to get ready for.” Arizona kept squirming as she manhandled into a room. Burke sat by the fireplace, his face illuminated by the firelight. “See I will always get you? Won't I missy?”
Arizona gave a blank stare to burke. Before she heard a softer voice, one that was more feminine. Rather than masculine like the surrounding group. “Can I help at all, burke?” Arizona could not turn her head to face the female voice. Burke stood up from his chair as he turned to the small window. His voice let out a chuckle as he turned back to the unknown female voice. “yes, you can help Hattie, but I won’t be leaving the room and I wouldn't want you injured by a firecracker.” burke's eyes scrutinised Arizona as she rolled hers at his comment before retorting her own reply. “You know burke if you weren't holding me against my hostage. Where a proper gentleman is about this marriage. There is a possibility of marrying you without it being forced?” At this remark, burke chuckled before speaking again. “But Arizona, my little missy you would have never said yes.”
Arizona kept her arms crossed, the other female whispered something into burke’s ear as he said back to her. “If she runs don’t be afraid to call me.” His crystal blue eyes set onto Arizona's eyes, not before he said to her. “Now go along darling you have a wedding to get ready for.” Hattie looked at Arizona before letting out a sigh of relief. “I don't know what you have done to ruin his normally perverse mood.” Arizona looked at the blonde haired female whose name she had picked up as hattie. “So you must be married or one of the outlaws mistresses?” A light laugh came out of hatties mouth as she replied back. “Yes i am married to one of the outlaws, you might know him seeing as he was manhandling you earlier.” Arizona looked wistfully before looking back at hattie. “Do you have any strong drink around hattie?” Hattie giggled before opening a bottle of bourbon. Pouring the small amount of amber liquid into a small glass tumbler. “Yes here drink up before burke finds you drunk before his wedding to you.” Arizona smiled at the blonde haired girl as she sipped at the drink. Not before asking a poignant question to her. “Children ? you don’t look much older than me?” Hattie nodded, her eyes crinkled before speaking again. “I was only 20 when I married my outlaw husband of nearly 6 years now. The fact that he currently has a mistress leaving his wife at home wanting revenge while she nurses his only child.” Arizona sat next to her quietly sympathising. The other woman before getting up and tossing her a small knife. “The only thing that burke has not found is the item on myself yet hattie take it and use it for yourself.” Hattie chuckled before tucking the small knife into her cleavage. “Thanks Arizona, let's get you ready now.”
Hattie slowly made Arizona slip into the checkered blue dress. The blue was not her colour but she could not fight Hattie on changing the dress. It was one that Burke had picked out for them to be able to get married without her looking like it was forced. To the parson or person marrying them. Arizona was soon taken out of her daydream when the tattooed man stormed through the door. His hand snaking around Arizona's waist as he looked at her with a smug grin. “Darling , come meet Quentin.” Burky lowered himself to her ear. “you fuck it up, your going to risk a lot more than your cunt tonight whore.''  Burke stood up again but not before making sure his hand wrapped tight around her waist. With this he led her outside as Arizona noticed a man who she had not seen before at least around the bunch of outlaws. Burke soon coughed as the man turned around his eyebrow quirked as he boomed to the group around him. “Burke you scoundrel who's the new lady.” Burke grinned his tattoos moving as he faced arizona. “Quentin, this is my new wife arizona.” Arizona smiled as she shook the renowned outlaw leader's hand. “Burke married never thought there would be a day for my right hand man to be married.” Arizona looked out at the landscape, her eyes captured by a dark silhouette as Burke whispered in her ear. “Darling stop gazing out into the open world.” Arizona soon looked at him before making her way over to the recent discovery. Her throat seized up as Burke grabbed her body. “No you don’t darling go inside and wait for me there.” Arizona soon gave her graces as she walked back up to the fireplace. unknown to her that burke kept his eye on her while she closed the door to his room.
Her first place to go was the window as she sat down watching the crowd of outlaws that were outside. Burke’s bowler hat was noticeable as she saw his hat moving throughout the crowds. His body stopping on the occasion as he stayed to chat to other outlaws. The sky was a pretty clear blue as Arizona stared out into the open sky, the vultures circling around in the sky. Her head turned around her as she sighed yet again for the current day.
That was until she heard the door close again. Her hand was soon grabbed as she felt the rough hand of him. Her head soon flipped towards the blue eyes in front of her. His hat tipped over as he looked at Arizona, his voice threatening as he asked her a question. “You ruined that chance Arizona, now I will take what's mine.” His blue eyes watched her before he tilted her chin up as he lowered himself to her lower neck. His teeth grazed her neck as he spoke up. “Who’s mine, arizona?” a quiet murmur from her back as he kissed up her neck. “I am yours burke.” Her voice slightly breathless as she was undone by him. Their room is the bare minimum but enough for the moment.  Burke reached for his knife. He reached for the fabric underneath her breast as he pierced his knife into it. the sound of tearing fabric audible as he looked into her eyes. “All mine.” the last thing he murmured before claiming arizona's lips with his own. Intimately kissing her as he lost the bowler hat, cornering Arizona up against a wall. His eyebrow quirked as he spoke again, Arizona's cheeks flushed as she chewed at her bottom lip. “My darling we have to leave tonight, are you going to be able to move off tonight.” Her body was open for him as his striped waistcoat on the front and destroyed in places from gunshots and burn marks. “Or are we a fuckin’ pansy for this after all. Locked up with only your husband to make your body sing.” His grin soon held, that insane unstable mind of his will always win him over. He pointed the recently sharpened knife under her chin if she did not know any better she might have ran, screaming for the hills. But she stayed quiet much to Burke's displeasure as he had hoped that she did not.

With all The Sandman news coming out lately it made me want to revisit some of my old fanfics. This was one I was always really happy with and after only a slight polish to correct some old weird sentence structures and misspellings, I think it’s good enough to put back out into the world again now.

Pitch us a season-ish of episodes for one or two characters who appeared in the DCAU but never got a solo DCAU show.
I don’t have a season in me because he’s not a character I have strong knowledge of or interest in, but if the DCAU had been willing to go for an Adult Swim spinoff, I think its strengths would have been very, very well suited towards a Jonah Hex show.

Revised History of the DCU: GOTHAM CITY AND THE WAYNE FAMILY, Part VIII: Alan Wayne’s War
(this was originally gonna be much more detailed, but I just want to get it down this time)
Hex and Arkham had expected to find a single deranged killer. What they found instead, (among various incidental discoveries) was the Cult of Barbatos, who ironically have come around to their now-exiled former leader’s way of thinking and have chosen to discard the truce, an act which they have been commemorating with ritual sacrifices.
Of course, by stopping the Cult, Hex and Arkham inadvertently alerted the Court of Owls to the fact that the truce was broken, and a war began. or it would’ve, if Alan Wayne hadn’t decided he wasn’t going to let this sort of nonsense exist in his father’s city. To this end, he hired Hex to lead a small army of imported manhunters to root out Cult and Court alike. Said force included several other gunslingers, the aging great detective C. Auguste Dupin, a young Englishman (who would one day replace Dupin as the World’s Greatest Detective) with the improbable name of Sherlock Holmes, a rogue French priest by the name of Valley, a masked man who actually called himself “Manhunter“, and even a Chinaman named Silver Monkey. Taking no chances, Wayne even hired the mysterious occultist Jason Blood to relocate from London to Gotham, just in case the rumors the Cult and Court wielded arcane powers were true.
Unsurprisingly, both Cult and Court, weakened by a generation of inactivity, stood no chance against this onslaught. Their only option was to go even deeper underground, and both agreed that they would never, EVER provoke a Wayne again, and in fact do everything in their power to make sure the Waynes would never find a trace of their existence.
(hmmph, this was a much more satisfying ending in my head)

Since Overwatch is changing McCree's name because they stupidly named him after a predator, here's some suggestions I made combing my favorite cowboy names from media:
Jesse Tyler
Jesse Ringo
Jesse Holiday
Jesse Cassidy
But if they don't want to keep the name Jesse, here's more
Wyatt Tyler
Johnny Cassidy
Kid Sudance
Butch Holiday
Ringo Earp
Jonah Ringo
Wyatt Hex
Philly Black
Erron Bailey
Morgan Creed
Virgil
Billy
Philly
Jonas
The last ones you can pair with any last name on my list but like, I have so many more names because I consume so much cowboy media for no reason or you can just still call him McCree because people are still gonna call him that anyways and I'm not your mom so no one can enforce you to call him his new name, but changing his name is still what's best and I don't care for the people bitching because they have to redo some fanfics, I had to redo an entire MHA fanfic because I was sure that Bakugou's hero name was gonna be Ground Zero but instead it was Dynamight. You will fucking live.

For the controversial shipping ask: (I hope you don't mind I just use the emoticons :D) 💚💘💖💓 ? ;)
Thanks for the Ask!
"A Ship that you secretly like.”
I’ve sorta already answered this one but I can always include more.
Basically I’m not really hiding anything when it comes to ships, especially in Arrowverse, I just don’t talk about all of them.
I guess aside from the others mentioned in previous posts, I also like: Michael/T-Bag (Prison Break), Daryl/Jesus (The Walking Dead), Thomas Barrow/Richard Ellis (Downton Abbey)
“A Ship that is unpopular but you still like.”
In Arrowverse I really enjoy Coldstantine (Leonard Snart/John Constantine)
It barely has any content because it’s a rarepair and they never actually met but had they met (not including Leo from Earth X) then I think it would’ve been hilarious and you can read some of my headcanons on my blog if you search #Coldstantine.
Cos Len and John have so much in common. Both: anti-heroes, shitty childhoods/fathers, done time, sarcastic pricks, excellent pick pockets/con men, rub people up the wrong way, avoid getting close to people, resourceful, been burned by life, want to do the right thing.
I would’ve loved to see their interaction.
“A Ship that needs more love.”
Two spring to mind:
In the Arrowverse: Citizenray (Leo Snart/Ray Terrill)
There are barely any fics for these two and it’s a healthy canon M/M ship! It pains me there isn’t more. But I’ll admit, for me, a lot of the fun in shipping comes with the journey, rather than the destination.
In other words, I tend to ship more couples that aren’t together, because once they are together suddenly it feels like your work is done?
I’m not sure if I’m alone in that.
The other is a Doom Patrol ship and it’s Cliffarry (Cliff Steele/Larry Trainor).
These two idiots need more love, period.
And it’s such an interesting ship because neither of them can really physically be together. Cliff is a brain in a robot body and Larry is covered in bandages that need to remain on at all times lest he irradiate anyone who comes into contact with him.
It means the ship has to be a connection of the mind; something on an emotional level which offers up a lot of potential in fanfic. Lots to explore. Lots of dialogue and delving into what makes these two show the ways they can be together outside of touch.
I really need to write more of these guys. I currently have one (1) fic published on AO3, it’s here called “Negativity” if you’re interested.
“A Ship that you didn’t expect to ship but now do.”
Probably my newest endeavour which is Coldhex (Leonard Snart/Jonah Hex).
As far as I’m aware it’s a Pool Noodle. AKA it’s a ship where no content exists of it yet and I think I’d be the first to publish a fic of it once my WIP is finished.
And the only reason I didn’t expect to ship these two is because I’d never really considered it an option. It just sorta popped into my head one day when thinking about Timehex stuff and I was like: hey imagine Timehex but Snart instead of Rip.
And my muse was like: woah back up say that again?
Poof. Ship.

Rip Week #1  The Many Faces of Rip
It’s been a long time since I’ve posted anything positive about Legends of Tomorrow.  However, it’s Rip Hunter Appreciation Week, which is a time meant for positivity!   At one point this show, and this character, had me blogging meta on a daily basis for almost two and a half years and introduced me to some great people! And I will always be grateful for that.
So the topic for Day 1 of Rip Hunter Appreciation Week: The Many Faces of Rip Hunter.
One thing that still fascinates me about Rip as a character is that, even though he’d only been a central character on the show for 1.5 seasons, we’ve gotten to see so many different sides of the character.  He’s been deconstructed so thoroughly and so fascinatingly, allowing us to really appreciate what makes the character tick.
Let’s start with Rip himself, the baseline number.  The guy who kidnapped a bunch of assholes, brought them to the roof of a tall building (and I still wonder how the stringy little bastard actually managed that) and gave them a sales pitch of a lifetime.
From the opening scene of the pilot, to Rip’s almost goodbye into the sun in Legendary, season one was first and foremost the story of a man broken by grief and betrayal, who slowly, and reluctantly found a reason to go on, and people to share it with.  Rip spent season one a raw, open wound, ugly in his pain and rage.  He tried very hard not to stay focused on his goal. He tried very hard not to care about his team.
He failed pretty much on day one, when he saved Martin Stein’s marriage.  He failed again not too long after that when he abandoned the closest thing he had to a working plan to get Carter’s body back for Kendra.  And he kept failing over and over again.
And they saved him.  They challenged him.  They forced him to look outside of his single-focused obsession and look at the people that they could save around them.  They forced him to take a long hard look at what he was doing when he started to go too far.  And he very clearly and very obviously loved them for it.
I still can’t believe that fandom still tries to claim that Rip didn’t care about his team, when we saw how broken he was after each major loss: Carter, Leonard, even Jax (almost).  That’s not a man who is unfeeling.
We saw Rip as a child: a tiny savage creature who, even when warm and fed, was still ready to stab the nearest adult who threatened him.  It gave a new, fascinating insight to the tension Rip had with both Leonard Snart and Mick Rory.  As well as possibly another reason that he’d bonded with Sara so strongly.  Rip is someone who understands what it means to become a monster in order to survive, and what it means to have to live with that afterward.  It likely does make it difficult when face to face with people who represented the worst of that time (and that’s not even touching on how child Rip probably met a number of people who looked and acted similar to our lovable Rogues, and it likely would not have ended well.)
We’ve never really seen the man Rip was before he was broken.  Except perhaps for a giddy romantic moment with Miranda and that horrible humiliation when they were caught.  We’ve heard a bit more: from that pirate in Marooned, from Magister Druce and Jonah Hex.   We can draw inferences: a man who was capable and skilled (though perhaps not as skilled as his wife :-)), who never the less was a rulebreaker at heart.  Someone who fell in love with the idea of heroism to the point where he almost left the Time Masters entirely.  Someone who, while loyal, wasn’t quite willing to trust his masters with the tool to unmake reality.  But at the same time, someone whose fundamental trust in INDIVIDUALS like Mary Xavier and Magister Druce, survived even when his world fell apart.
At the end of season 1, we got a Rip Hunter who was ready to finally move past his grief, and it will forever be something of a disappointment to me that the series decided to give us a time jump instead of actually showing us Rip learning to be part of a real team.
But season 2 did give us a truly fascinating deconstruction of Rip Hunter as an individual.
One very common plot in almost every superhero’s story is the depowerment story arc.  Who is our hero when he doesn’t have what makes him a hero?  It’s most common for men like Superman of course, but we even get it for folks like Batman or Green Arrow.  What are these men without their money, or their physicality?
What is Rip Hunter without his knowledge, his memories, or his time machine?
Well, we saw him.  And he was adorable!  Phil Gasmer was a hilarious story beat, but unlike maybe certain other storyline elements that we see in later seasons, there was also a point to Phil Gasmer.  Phil Gasmer showed us the kind of man that Rip Hunter is deep down.
He’s creative.  He’s clever.  He’s determined.  He’s a little whiny.  And definitely high.  Rip is a man who would benefit from a little unofficial pharmaceutical help.  He’s a man who, when the world suddenly goes sideways, will first attempt to protect his friend.  He’s a man who, when face to face with a stranger with scary abilities, will try to hit him with a script.  He’s a man who loves his team so much that even when he has no conscious recollection of them, he made them the basis of his movie.  And he’s a man who walked out to face the Legion to save a bunch of strangers who kidnapped him, because it was the right thing to do.
I’d like to think in another universe, Phil didn’t get kidnapped by Eobard Thawne there, but instead made it back on the ship, where the crew actually got the chance to get to know Rip without all the baggage.  I think they’d have gotten along.
And then there’s evil Rip.
“Teammate goes evil” storylines are a dime a dozen, in superhero lore, but there’s a reason for that.  When done well, they can be amazing.  And ultimately, I think the evil Rip storyline was done very well.
One of the things that I always liked about the evil Rip storyline is how it utterly destroyed that pervasive (and wrong!) fan idea that Rip never cared about his team.  Because they showed us a Rip who didn’t care about his team, and he was a fucking scary son of a bitch.
He also showed us how Rip’s best worst enemy was always going to be himself.  Because holy shit, Rip is competent when he’s not tripping himself up.  Turncoat was terrifying in all the best ways, and even that opening of Land of the Lost was amazing.  It’s still very amusing to me that the most effective member of the Legion of Doom was the one Eobard brainwashed into it.
One thing I always found fascinating about evil Rip is that, for all that he lacks Rip’s compassion, empathy and love, he didn’t go the usual scenery chewing sadist route.  He’s a monster, of course.  He was perfectly happy to murder Sara, to carve the spear piece out of McNider, and brainwash the entire knights of Camelot.  But it was always a measured sort of evil.
Evil Rip had a goal, and evil Rip pursued his goal.  And if he could get what he wanted in a relatively non-disruptive and non-violent way, he was willing to try it.  He had no interest in terrorizing the Waverider crew once he had the spear piece from them, even when he saw that Sara had survived her murder.  He tried to trick McNider, only resorting to violence when McNider saw through it.  When he had control of the knights, he just had them stand there, much to Darhk’s boredom, rather than playacting some farce for his amusement as some of the others might have done.
Evil Rip was our chance to appreciate how truly formidable Rip could actually be, and also appreciate those qualities that kept him from turning into that monster again.
My biggest disappointment in this story arc was how little we got to see Rip interact with the other members of the Legion.  His interactions with Eobard and Darhk, in what little we had, were very entertaining.  But we never saw him interact with Malcolm at all (I admit to being intrigued by this, because I thought Malcolm had actually had the most interesting dynamic with Phil in Legion of Doom), and we never saw Eobard react to his capture.  Missed opportunities or food for fanfic?
I don’t know if Doomworld Rip really counts, but I have to admit that, compared to some of Rip’s other coping mechanisms, baking cakes to deal with a year of solitary confinement (Gideon sort of counts, but she’s just a voice at this point), is pretty good for him.  I hope he actually got a chance to eat them.
The idea behind Rip at the Time Bureau really was a good one.  The idea that Rip would have created this organization, but specifically designed it to be the antithesis of the Time Masters: open, transparent, and accountable, is a good one.  But unfortunately, season 3 never really explored that to the extent I would have liked.
It’s hard to imagine the Rip who recruited Sara before she could die with her sister to Damien Darhk would be okay with leaving Zari in a prison without a very good reason.  But we never got that reason.  Of course, maybe he wasn’t.  He wasn’t in that episode.  We know from Ava that he didn’t want her chasing the Legends, and wanted them given “lenience”.  But if he’s not on board with that, how much of the Time Bureau is actually under his control?
Considering that Return of the Mack told us that Rip allowing Darhk to be resurrected in order to confront him with agents was a “sanctioned” plan (that Rip still ends up in prison for, because Rip is just that good with people), that implies a certain level of oversight.  His and Bennett’s dynamic seemed just shy of outright antagonistic.  And certainly Rip seemed a lot more blase about seeing Bennett meet a grisly end than seems warranted.  This is a man who dismantled the team after Leonard Snart died.
I mean, trying to work out coherent characterization for ANYONE in season 3 is a bit of a problem, but I feel like if the Time Bureau had gotten the same level of focus that it gets much later, perhaps some of these things could actually work.  If, for example, there are multiple factions within the Bureau with their own ideas on what the Bureau is supposed to do, (perhaps tied with the oversight that Rip specifically put in place, because there’s nothing more Rip Hunter than getting hoisted up by his own petard), then a lot of the more confused behavior by the organization could make more sense.
In the end though, Rip is still a secretive, scheming bastard who cares very deeply for his team, and I wouldn't give up that wonderful, almost baggage free friendship with Wally for anything. So it does have its good points.
Ultimately, I think that all of these facets make Rip one of the most well-developed and defined characters in the CW-verse, even when compared with others who have had years and years of screentime.  It’s fun to poke around and explore all of these layers and see how they fit.  And it definitely is food for some great fanfic.  I’m told some other Rip fans will be writing some great fic for #RipWeek.  You should go check them out!

Mwahaha!!!! YES!!!!!!!!!!
Countless Roads - Chapter 47
Fic: Countless Roads - Chapter 47 - Ao3
Fandom: Flash, Legends Pairing: Gen, Mick Rory/Leonard Snart, others
Summary: Due to a family curse (which some call a gift), Leonard Snart has more life than he knows what to do with – and that gives him the ability to see, speak to, and even share with the various ghosts that are always surrounding him.
Sure, said curse also means he’s going to die sooner rather than later, just like his mother, but in the meantime Len has no intention of letting superheroes, time travelers, a surprisingly charming pyromaniac, and a lot of ghosts get in the way of him having a nice, successful career as a professional thief.
———————————————————————————
“You can at least gimme something for the headache,” Len complains at the Time Master in the process of shoving him into the sadly impervious-looking cell. Or rather, having shoved him in and pushing the door closed while Len attempts, not very successfully, to resist the door shutting on him. He’s not having as much luck resisting as he likes to think he normally would, but he blames that on the headache he got from being bashed over the head. Not to mention waking up very abruptly to find himself being quite literally tossed in here. “It being your fault and all.”
“I don’t even know what you were doing there,” the Time Master replies. He sounds young under that hood that’s pulled forward enough to shadow his eyes and his face. “I don’t know you, but you’re definitely not supposed to be at the Vanishing Point at all, much less – there.”
“I was there,” Len says, too angry to try to pretend that he’s a Time Master or any other such implausible dodge, “because there is an abomination that must be destroyed.”
The Time Master is quiet for a long moment. Still shoving Len into the cell - damnit, the door is millimeters away from being shut, Len’s not going to manage to keep it open - but quiet.
“You think so too, don’t you?” Len says, smelling advantage. He abruptly releases the door, letting the Time Master shut it; as he’d hoped, the Time Master is sufficiently surprised by Len’s yielding to stand there listening instead of leaving. “You ever go inside there before, get that talking to the way Rip Hunter did?”
The Time Master presses his lips together.
Ah, a sore spot.

teaser for a fanfic
A/N gotta thank the people who keep me sane during this writing gonna tag them to say thanks to @gotnofucks , @imdarkinme , @sapphirescrolls as well as anyone else who helped me along this fic
uh you can have a burke gif before the story is read. uh currently it has no name
Tumblr media
Arizona whimpered as burke snaked closer to her his body covering hers. His lips ghosting over her lips as he kissed her, his eyes watching her as he muttered into her lips. “Your mine arizona. You might not know it yet but your going to marry me as i watch you raising our children? You understand that missy.” Arizona soon spat at him, her eyes hurt as she retorted a reply to him. “Never , burke i will never be your wife.” She lifted her hand as her hand striked his face. Her body soon turned as she ran to the nearest open window, the tiny crack of the window enough. To fit her slender body shimmy through her hand was grabbed. her head flicked back to the window to show burke glaring at her. his smile turned into a tortuous grin as she stared at his tattooed arm. “You leave now missy i will hunt you down. i am going to have fun with our little game. Now either you can leave and we will find you or you can come back in and be a good missy and not make a fool of yourself?” Her first thought was that of running away and joining up with no one in particular taking the traders route into town. Arizona had a niggling thought in her mind that if she did run. Their was also a high likelihood of burke catching her again. Another voice brought her out of her thought process as she tugged her hand away, from his only to get another hand put over her mouth. Her body wiggled and struggled as she tried to get out of the unknown person. Who grabbed her, but not before she heard the distinct irish accent of him. “Bring her in we have an occasion to get ready for.” Arizona kept squirming as she manhandled into a room. Burke sat by the fire place, his face illuminated by the firelight. “See i will always get you? Won't I missy?” Arizona gave a blank stare to burke. Before she heard a softer voice, on that was more feminine. Rather that masculine like the group around her. “Can i help at all burke?” Arizona was not allowed to turn her head to face the female voice. Burke stood up from his chair as he turned to the small window. His voice let out a chuckle as he turned back to the unknown female voice. “yes , you can help hattie, but i won’t be leaving the room wouldn’t want you injured by a firecracker.” burkes eyes scrutinised arizona as she rolled hers at his comment before retorting her own reply. “You know burke if you when’t holding me against my own hostage. Where a proper gentlemen about this marriage. There is a possibility of married you without it being forced?” At this remark burke chuckled before speaking again. “But Arizona my little missy you would have never said yes.”

Legends of Tomorrow D&D Alignments
I’m a player of pen and paper RPGs when I’m not writing fanfic, and I thought it would be fun to do the Dungeons and Dragons alignments for the Legends. So here we go with a bit of blurb as to why I went with this line-up. As with all things, not everyone fits exactly and for some of them it really depends where you look on their character arc - Mick, in particular, moves about all over the place, but that’s partly why he ended up in the True Neutral category.
Lawful Good - “The Crusader”, this is the guy who does the right thing and but also has a commitment to order. Rip obviously does start the series by leaving the Time Masters, but it turns out that they aren’t exactly the good guys and he does still follow their tenets long after he’s left. Protecting the timeline is the order that he’s interested in maintaining, but he also consistently does the right thing. He protects his team and believes that everyone can better themselves. Rip will fight for what’s right and he doesn’t give up, stating how he always accomplishes his mission. However, as with all Lawful Good characters, sometimes his enthusiasm for order means he makes decisions that even he doesn’t like, such as not saving Laurel Lance. He’s definitely the spirit of Lawful Good even if his execution occasionally wavers. Other Arrowverse characters who fit into this category: Amaya Jiwe, Rex Tyler, J’onn Jonz, Alex Danvers, Julian Albert, Joe West, and weirdly, Oliver Queen when he’s being the mayor, but not when he’s the Arrow. Neutral Good - “The Hero”, so a lot of the Legends fit into this category, but if you want the epitome of “hero” then it has to be Ray, with his heart of solid gold. Neutral good characters do things because it’s the best thing to do and not because any laws say that they should. They are devoted to helping others, and Ray has this is spades. He built his own super-suit just so that he can save people, and he’s saved the team by putting himself in danger on multiple occasions. Other Arrowverse characters who fit into this category: Barry Allen, Iris West, Nate Heywood, Felicity Smoak, Jefferson Jackson, Martin Stein, and of course, Kara Danvers Chaotic Good - “The Rebel”. These characters are good at their core, but you can take your rules and shove them where the sun doesn’t shine. If you need a city cleaning up, then these people will do it no matter what. Vigilantes are often “Rebels” and you don’t get much more rebellious than Sara. Even in S2 she’s going off on her own to get revenge for her sister’s murder, and that’s when she’s supposed to be the one in charge. She fights for good but she doesn’t have much use for constrictive laws, and her decision to ignore one of the laws of time travel means that at the end of S2 the Legends save reality by breaking time. Other Arrowverse characters who fit into this category: John Constantine, Oliver Queen (when he’s the Arrow), Jonah Hex, possibly Miranda Coburn from the little we see of her
Lawful Neutral - “The Judge”. Order and organisation are the things that make a Lawful Neutral character tick, which seems perfect for an AI. Gideon occasionally skirts into Neutral Good when she’s showing her softer side, but generally she gets on with the day to day running of the ship and follows orders. Importantly for a Lawful Neutral character, she even follows the less good orders (Spaniel Broad Tricycle for example). Soldiers are often Lawful Neutral characters for exactly this reason.  Other Arrowverse characters who fit into this category: Eve Baxter, all of the other Time Master Captains, Chronos (until he gets a bit carried away with his revenge)
True Neutral - “The Undecided” This was a hard one to pick because very few characters are ever truly neutral for long. They usually pick a side: good or evil, organisation or chaos. Mick, at least from when he joins the Legends, doesn’t pick a side so much as go along with the side that Snart picks. That lasts until he’s had enough, betrays the team and then gets captured by the Time Masters. Mick is basically his own side, which is how True Neutral characters tend to be - they do what’s right for them and screw everyone else, but they might follow your orders if your interests align. They usually tend towards doing good, because they like nice things like everyone else and aren’t really into killing for the sake of killing, but they don’t have to be good all the time. And to be honest even when Mick’s being a crook, he’s not doing it to hurt people or even break laws, he’s doing it because he likes it and enjoys burning things.Other Arrowverse characters who fit into this category: Cat Grant, and I can’t actually think of anyone else who even approaches this category.
Chaotic Neutral - “The Free Spirit”. Chaotic Neutral characters are the ones who are a bit off the wall. They value their own liberty and dislike authority in any form. Leonard Snart is nothing if not the master of his own destiny and he dislikes authority (usually in the form of Rip, but before that the police). I admit that perhaps he’s a little too controlled to be the epitome of Chaotic Neutral, but he’s definitely not exactly a good guy for most of Legends and certainly not in Flash, even though he often ends up doing the right thing. But he’s not evil either (although Legion!Snart pushes that a bit) and mostly he’s robbing stuff because he enjoys the challenge. He’s another character who’s only on his own side, but he’s more unpredictable, mercurial and harder to pin down than Mick. He loves the rivalry with the Flash and he enjoys the chase a bit too much. He has a habit of surprising you, right up to the moment he sacrifices himself and suddenly shifts into Neutral Good, the biggest surprise of all. Other Arrowverse characters who fit into this category: The Music Meister is actually a far better candidate for this category, but unfortunately hasn’t appeared in Legends yet.
Lawful Evil - “The Dominator”. We’re not talking about the alien Dominators here but the tendency of Lawful Evil characters to want to control everything. If a Lawful Evil character has the chance to set up a totalitarian state with lots of rules and harsh enforcement of said rules, then they are in heaven. Time Master Druce is an archetypal example of this. He loves the authority he wields and even says as much to Rip before he tries to kill him. To him, losing a few lives to Vandal Savage isn’t a problem, as long as the timeline is kept ordered and history is saved. He is methodical, he has a plan, and is dedicated to his own advancement. Lawful Evil is just diabolical when done well, because it often hides in plain sight pretending to be Good, which of course is exactly what Druce pulled with the Time Masters. Other Arrowverse characters who fit into this category: Damien Darhk, Early Malcolm Merlyn, Per Degaton
Neutral Evil - “The Malefactor”. These bad guys don’t care about the rule of law in the slightest, they just care about themselves and their evil plans. Eobard Thawne doesn’t give a stuff about the timeline or his Legion allies, he just wants the Spear to allow him to survive and give him the power he craves. He’s completely in it for his own ends and he’s pretty ruthless about how he achieves those ends. He has no issues with killing or getting others to kill for him, but he doesn’t kill just for the fun of it either. Other Arrowverse characters who fit into this category: Later Malcolm Merlyn, Evil!Rip, Slade Wilson
Chaotic Evil - “The Destroyer”. Possibly this is the pick that I’m least happy about. Chaotic Evil characters are really more random than Vandal Savage, they kill and destroy because they want to watch the world burn and often have the barest of motivation or no reason at all. But Savage doesn’t really fit into either Lawful Evil or Neutral Evil either. He’s too happy to take life without good reason, and too gleeful about killing. He doesn’t thrive on order in the same way that Druce does, he prefers to lurk in the shadows and manipulate things, and whilst, like Thawne, he does have an agenda, he appears to be enjoying himself quite a lot whilst carrying it out. He’s probably got a bit of all three of the Evil categories in there somewhere, but mostly he’s Chaotic, so I’m going with that. Other Arrowverse characters who fit into this category: Zoom, Savitar, The Trickster
Think I’ve got it all wrong? Tell me in the comments or suggest some more candidates for the categories.

Yet more proof that Justice League Action is just an animated version of my unwritten fanfics: Jonah Hex and Space Cabbie team up to defend a flying space train from robbers.
That’s a real episode I just saw.
