Jojoba Oil Market Worth $236.6 Million By 2030 | CAGR: 7.7%
The global jojoba oil market size is expected to reach USD 236.6 million by 2030 and is expected to expand at 7.7% CAGR from 2023 to 2030, according to a new report by Grand View Research, Inc. The growth is attributed to the high demand from key end-use industries, especially personal care & cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals.
Jojoba oil is widely used as an active ingredient in the personal care & cosmetic industry. The product continues to gain popularity in several cosmetic formulations such as serums, lip balms, lip colors, face oils, etc. owing to its antioxidant properties. Industry players such as L’Oréal, and Sephora have developed jojoba oil-based cosmetic product lines. Growing consumer inclination toward natural and organic products is expected to drive the demand for jojoba oil in cosmetic products.
Favorable technological advancements are significantly contributing to the overall product demand by continuously enhancing both the chemical and microbiological qualities of the oil. However, jojoba oil is an expensive raw material for manufacturers in the cosmetics and personal care industries, which is expected to pose a restraint to market growth.
The growing popularity of the product and its benefits have fostered research and development activities as well as given rise to several startups globally. Several new players have emerged in the market owing to the growing popularity of the product. Industry players are focusing on price differentiation and attractive product packaging to gain consumer attention.

VIVI HAIR RULES ୨୧
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
If you want long, shiny, soft and healthy hair here are my rules that I stand by
૮꒰ྀི ୨ ៸៸៸ ୧ ྀི꒱ა ༊࿐ ͎. 。˚ ° ⊹ ˚.
1. Don’t try and “train your hair” - if it’s oily, wash it. Healthy scalp comes before anything, even if that’s washing everyday. (Which isn’t damaging despite what people say btw) If you can go longer then that then do it.
2. Do a pre-shampoo treatment, I use coconut oil. If you feel it messes up your hair, most likely you aren’t washing it all off, so instead try a coconut based oil instead of whole coconut oil. Keep this on your ends for at least 30 minutes before showering.
3. Do not go to bed with wet hair.
4. Do a head massage everyday for at least 5 minutes, don’t use your nails but instead use the pads of your fingers.
5. SPLIT YOUR ENDS AT HOME. This is so important, check for split ends regularly. If you see any, cut them right away.
6.Don’t be tricked by marketing! I actually prefer drugstore haircare to high end.
7. Use bonding treatments, l’oréal has a new bond repair line that is good!
8. Microfiber towels, soft hair ties, and silk pillowcases.
9. Protective Hairstyles before bed.
10. Always oil your ends. I like jojoba oil and you only need a tiny bit. It will add a nice shine and protect your hair.
11. Embrace your natural hair color and texture, avoid bleaching, dying, and relaxing if you can
I could ramble on for hours about hair, but these are definitely some of my basic rules ! I hope this helps you on your long hair journey 💕🧁

devil’s club rollerballs for sale!
i have about 10 devil’s club and white willow bark rollerballs left, these bottles are 10 ml, and the oil is jojoba and olive oil infused with devil’s club bark and white willow bark. devil’s club is a wonderful natural pain reliever, and willow bark is anti inflammatory, this is a combo i made specifically with artists and generally people who work with their hands in mind. the oils absorb into your skin faster than a salve, so you can continue working without worrying about getting your work greasy, and still feel relief. i personally use this for my carpal tunnel, and my aunt, mom, and both grandmas use it for arthritis and back pain.
ingredients: devil’s club bark, white willow bark, jojoba oil, cold pressed olive oil.
$17 + $5 for US shipping, if you are in the seattle area we can arrange local pickup at one of my future market dates. if you are interested either send me a message here or email me at [email protected]

tuesday again 6/6/2023
two things to frontload:
if you have good vibes to send off in service of me getting a livable apartment in the greater houston tx area i would be most grateful, bc the hunt ain't fuckin goin too fuckin great
go play ABZÛ
listening
soul bossa nova by quincy jones bc it popped up on my discover weekly. i can only assume spotify recced this to me for bossa nova reasons bc i have been categorically ignoring austin powers my entire life and intend to continue on in this fashion.
youtube
it is a bop tho.
-
reading
when i wrote the pinned post for this blog i settled on "a common throughline in Shit What I Like is understanding how and why systems work" bc i hadn't yet listened to Well There's Your Problem, a podcast with slides about engineering disasters and systemic failures, and "OSHA aficionado" is shorter but less snappy than "WTYPP fan". anyway when i think "chemical spill" i do not generally think "hand sanitizer spill", and when i think "how do i get rid of all this unsellable poorly made hand sanitizer made in the early days of the pandemic" i do not immediately leap to "well i'll just dump pallets in this parking lot and warehouse and surely it won't spill and/or explode bc hand sanitizer is a product that makes you safer".
ArtNaturals was, at that point, not on the [FDA warning] list. Its sanitizer, labeled with a tasteful, millennial-friendly design that said it was vegan and infused with jojoba oil, was marketed as “safe for kids” and “a great bulk hand sanitizer pack for parents and teachers.” At least two school districts on the West Coast had purchased the sanitizer to distribute to students, in addition to two Ivy League universities. Then, in March 2021, a year into sales, an independent lab in Connecticut called Valisure announced that it had found benzene in the company’s sanitizer. Benzene, a widely used industrial chemical derived from petroleum, can be absorbed through the skin and is known to be a risk factor for leukemia.
came across it bc my rss feed really wanted me to subscribe to longreads (no), but this one did catch my eye as i was checking to make sure the site still wasn't for me

watching
youtube
watching this was a unexpectedly funny experience bc i recognized one of the backing instrumentals as a previous tuesdaypost song, which kind of felt like solving a mystery book on chapter three bc u knew an obscure fact about eels. this documentary came out in nov 22 and the song was one of this past feb's tuesdaysongs so i can only assume the spike in popularity from the documentary propelled it onto my discover weekly playlist??? the internet is a series of algorithmic tubes &tc
this is a tremendous work, as a documentary/history/archival effort/piece of art. it made me tear up. there's a very lovely sequence about memory and legacy that got me thinking a lot again about how i would like to be remembered. ive rewritten this section four times, when usually i don't redraft the tuesdaypost much at all. boils down to: complex and weird topic to talk about as an orphan, i am reluctant to be any more emotionally vulnerable than i absolutely have to during this time of great cross-country change and moving upheaval.
i appreciated how this was not tearjerker webby bait, which would have made it feel very hollow and embittered me even more during a week i am already predisposed to hate humanity. instead, mr perjurer is simply very good at his job (being an ethical documentarian)
-
playing
one game i really loved and one game i really hated, so it goes.
despite religiously downloading the epic store free game of the week bc i have a reminder written in my planner, i never fucking remember to actually look at what i have in that library.
Tumblr media
ABZÛ genuinely healed my heart during a very unpleasant weekend.
i don't use this as a recs platform except for this one time when i am cashing in all my chips. go play ABZÛ, it takes like an hour and a half.
all you need to know about it you can get from the cover art. it is not a hard game and it is not a horror game. i went in totally blind and the less you know about this game the better. i was delighted nearly every minute. every time i saw an ammonite i felt like i was seeing an old friend. there are SO many clever game design choices i want to talk about. message me after you play this. i said "of COURSE IT WAS AUSTIN FUCKING WINTORY ON THE SCORE" during the credits. what an absolutely goddamn perfect little jewel of a game.
AGAIN: go play ABZÛ.
youtube
i also played Call of the Sea, bc it was in my epic library and i wanted something fast and oceanic to continue the high of ABZÛ.
Call of the Sea did not continue the high of ABZÛ. i think this team carefully and thoughtfully sidestepped several of the usual issues is making something Lovecraftian but fell into the rest of the pits. eg i liked that they had Polynesian culture consultants, but from an interview it seemed like it was limited to a one-day crash course? i am deeply grateful this isn't a dead-wife game and the female protagonist has a great deal of agency, but she's still a rich white lady from boston trekking about the Tahitian islands commenting on primitive structures, which made me suck air in through my teeth at many points. there is an "ancient slave culture" thread that never actually resolves. i really wish it resolved. the game overall is in a very weird place, trapped between the norms and mores of the early 40s and the 2020s. you have Got to commit to one or the other.
the overall vibe is very polished for a first game. general vibes are Firewatch but puzzle-adventure. the lighting is a little too dynamic and was very distracting throughout. due to this studio's age (new) and odd location (spain) and how their debut game came out (took a year and a half to make, debuted on gamepass) i understand why this game exists the way it does from a marketing and industry standpoint and why they favored visual polish and art style over everything else. it's still annoying bc it is so close to an interesting game.
the twist particularly infuriated me as a chronically ill person, spoilers for the twist behind rot13

hi! i was wondering, would you have any tips or recommendations for someone starting out in making cosmetics? for personal use and not commercial, in my case, and moreso things like lotion and chapstick rather than soap... i love your work (and your chapstick was my absolute favorite when you sold it) and it's a bit daunting, hope you wouldn't mind sharing how you started out and where you look for ingredients? thank you and hope you're having a wonderful day!!
So for me, a lot of it was just combining things with trial and error until I eventually ended up with something I loved. I don't have a lot of experience with lotion chemistry, but balms are one of the easiest cosmetics to make and can be adjusted to suit a whole host of things. The majority of balms you see sold that are natural have really similar bases- lipblam, warming rub, nipple balms, beard balms are all almost the same exact thing in principal. all have one or more softening oils (like almond, jojoba, olive, lanolin), a small amount of hardening oil or wax to give the balm some firmness (beeswax is most popular, cocoa butter, carnauba wax), and occasionally essential oils for scent/taste/bogus medical claim lol
I get my ingredients through a small supply warehouse, but these are only reasonable if you plan to make things to sale. You can find ingredients in smaller amounts here: Beauty stores (jojoba, raw shea, and raw cocoa butter is often sold for black skin & haircare) Grocery stores (mainly coconut oil, almond oil, sunflower oil, olive oil) Farmers markets (beeswax) And ebay for the harder to find specialty ingredients like carnauba or lanolin.
For lotions, the best I can advise is to look up how to make lotion videos. Be aware that unless you're making a natural body butter (which tends to be much more oily than a lotion), lotions require some special chemicals, but are otherwise not too much of a pain to put together.
Be sure to avoid putting skin irritants like cinnamon or lemon in.

12 Natural Ways To Get Youthful, Glowing Skin
Having youthful, glowing skin is a desire shared by many, as it not only enhances one's appearance but also boosts self-confidence. While there are countless skincare products available on the market, some people prefer natural and holistic approaches to achieve radiant skin.
Stay Hydrated:
Hydration is the foundation of healthy skin. Drinking an adequate amount of water helps flush out toxins from the body and keeps the skin hydrated, preventing dryness and promoting a radiant complexion. Aim to drink at least 8 glasses of water daily to maintain optimal skin health.
Follow a Balanced Diet:
Eating a nutritious diet rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants is vital for healthy skin. Incorporate plenty of fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins into your meals. Antioxidant-rich foods such as berries, leafy greens, and nuts help combat free radicals that can damage skin cells and cause premature aging.
Protect Your Skin from Sun Exposure:
One of the most crucial steps to achieve youthful skin is protecting it from overexposure to UV rays. Sun exposure can lead to wrinkles, age spots, and other signs of premature aging. Always wear sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 when stepping outdoors and seek shade during peak sun hours.
Practice a Consistent Skincare Routine:
A consistent skincare routine can work wonders for your skin's health. Cleansing, toning, and moisturizing should be a part of your daily regimen. Use gentle, natural products suitable for your skin type to avoid irritation and inflammation.
Exfoliate Regularly:
Exfoliation helps remove dead skin cells, unclog pores, and stimulate cell turnover, resulting in a brighter and more youthful complexion. Choose a natural, gentle exfoliant like Sokörpe's Mandelic Acid Serum to gently exfoliate your skin daily.
Get Sufficient Sleep:
Adequate sleep is essential for skin rejuvenation and repair. During deep sleep, the body produces collagen, a protein that maintains skin's elasticity and firmness. Aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep each night to wake up with a refreshed and glowing complexion.
Manage Stress:
Chronic stress can wreak havoc on your skin, leading to breakouts, inflammation, and dullness. Practice stress-reducing activities such as meditation, yoga, deep breathing exercises, or spending time in nature to maintain healthy skin and overall well-being.
Use Natural Face Masks:
Natural face masks can nourish and revitalize your skin. Try using ingredients like honey, yogurt, aloe vera, or turmeric, which have soothing and rejuvenating properties. Apply a mask once a week to improve skin texture and glow.
Exercise Regularly:
Engaging in regular physical activity enhances blood circulation, delivering essential nutrients and oxygen to the skin cells. This increased circulation helps maintain a youthful appearance and imparts a natural, healthy glow to the skin.
Limit Alcohol and Caffeine Intake:
Excessive alcohol and caffeine consumption can dehydrate the skin and contribute to premature aging. Moderation is key when consuming these beverages, and it's best to stay hydrated with water or herbal teas.
Avoid Smoking and Secondhand Smoke:
Smoking and exposure to secondhand smoke can accelerate skin aging, leading to fine lines, wrinkles, and a dull complexion. Quitting smoking or avoiding areas with secondhand smoke can significantly improve skin health and appearance.
Embrace Natural Oils:
Certain natural oils, such as coconut oil, jojoba oil, and rosehip seed oil, offer excellent benefits for the skin. These oils can hydrate, protect, and nourish the skin, providing a youthful and radiant appearance. Incorporate them into your skincare routine, especially as moisturizers or as part of facial massages.
Achieving youthful, glowing skin doesn't necessarily require expensive treatments or chemical-laden products. By following a consistent and natural skincare routine, maintaining a healthy diet, and adopting a holistic approach to well-being, you can unlock the secrets to radiant skin. Remember to stay hydrated, protect your skin from the sun, and nourish it with natural ingredients. With these twelve natural methods, you can embrace the journey to healthier, more youthful, and glowing skin.

i have the same issue. my hands have always been dry and since the pandemic they'll peel and i'll get actual cuts from the skin being so tight. what i do is i'll apply a heavy moisturizer (i use cicaplast. i'm trying to find a vegan alternative too, sorry...) before leaving my house and avoid washing and using sanitizer unless i eat something or use the bathroom (or if they get visibly dirty ofc). when i get home i wash my hands like normal and sanitize my phone (better than sanitizing hands each time you touch it) and then moisturize again. remember that if you're not touching your face or playing with kids or anything it should be safe!
if i have time to spare i'll massage vitamin E oil (you can use jojoba or rosehip instead or even mix them) and leave it on for a while. i do this a few times a week, and it helps with dry spots and healing said cuts i usually get. i only wash with cold water and always moisturize after leaving the shower cause i feel the hot water is really drying. during the day i use a lighter moisturizer anytime i can (for this i use cerave, which again is not vegan, but i really hate that film that most hand creams leave on your skin and cerave is the only one that gets fully absorbed and doesn't bother me. i heard ceramdx is a great cf alternative but i haven't had the chance to try it yet) and before going to bed i apply cicaplast again with a little bit of oil mixed in
so sorry i don't have better product recommendations, cause i feel like finding the perfect combination of moisturizers is the most important part... i'm plant based and try really hard to use cf products, but these have worked the best for avoiding cuts and stuff so i treat it like i do medicine. i'd say just use the heaviest one you can find and another one that feels comfortable to apply multiple times a day, it doesn't have to be miraculous. also for soap i feel like it doesn't matter much, but definitely try to go for those artisanal ones with oils in them if you can. it's not a big difference but i do notice it. i get them at the farmer's market sometimes
hope that's helpful! :)

Pink Privates Review – UPDATED 2023 – With Before & After Pictures
Glowy, bright and even skin tone is a dream that only a few are lucky to live through. Rest are those millions of women who throng the internet everyday to look for solutions that can even out their skin tone and make it lighter, brighter and what not. These searches become even more urgent and desperate when it comes to the intimate area. The urge to lighten dark and discolored private parts is a trend that’s here to stay. Apart from cosmetic procedures, there are plenty of creams and bleaches available in the market that claim to “whiten” your skin color. Some work and some don’t. The intimate skin lightening cream in the spotlight today falls in the former category and has proven to show visible results. Let’s get into the review and see what the fuss is all about. Pink Privates Review – UPDATED 2020 Pink Privates is a skin whitening cream specially designed to lighten the skin color on your private areas. This miraculous cream is hailed as one of the best bleaching cream out there by users who have actually used and benefited from it. Using Pink Privates, you can lighten any of the following sensitive areas- - Penis - Vagina - Anal area - Nipples - Scrotum - Underarms One major concern with skin whitening creams are the potential side-effects they might cause to the skin in the long-term. Pink Privates carefully addresses this concern and uses only skin-safe and natural whitening ingredients that do not harm the skin during the bleaching process. The effectiveness of this cream revolves around targeting the discolored areas and lightening them to blend in with the natural color of the entire body. Pink Privates Bleaching Cream – How It Works? Most whitening products contain harsh ingredients like hydroquinone, mercury and steroids which causes rashes and sometimes even burning sensation. Pink Privates cream steers clear from all three of these ingredients and works in the most natural way. The Pink Privates formula is skin-safe, paraben-free and uses only natural skin whitening and brightening ingredients which we will list down in the next section. Pink Privates Bleaching Cream – Ingredients Pink Privates is relatively safer to use than some of its competitors due to the use of all-natural, skin-safe ingredients. If skin safety is your concern and you are looking at all-natural ingredients, Pink Privates takes away the cake by including natural alternatives to harsh chemicals. Let’s take a look at the natural ingredients that Pink Privates uses in its formula. Alpha Arbutin - Derived from the leaves of bearberry bush, Alpha Arbutin is the main ingredient in Pink Privates cream. It is scientifically proven to contain melanin-inhibiting properties. Melanin is what causes the dark color in the skin. Many whitening products have switched the presence of Hydroquinone to Alpha Arbutin, making their products safer for the skin. Apricot Kernel Oil - Featuring anti-inflammatory properties, Apricot kernel oil is widely used for several beauty purposes. In the Pink Privates formulation, this oil works as a lubricant to nourish and moisturize your private area. Jojoba Seed Oil: This oil needs no introduction to a beauty enthusiast. The Jojoba plant is an indigenous American shrub that’s quite popular in the skincare world. The oil is carefully extracted from the nut of the jojoba oil and is widely used by native Americans. It serves as a natural moisturizer and seeps into the skin to make it healthy and plump. Squalane: Squalene is produced by our bodies naturally and it is also found in sugar canes and plants. It  is used to allow the cream to penetrate deep inside and work at the innermost layers of the skin. Hyaluronic Acid: An anti-aging warrior, hyaluronic acid is naturally produced in our bodies in a decent amount. Its anti-aging properties help keep up the collagen levels in our body and maintain our skin’s elasticity. It prevents water loss, inflammation and helps in keeping the skin lighter and youthful. Polyacrylamide: Polyacrylamide is yet another popular skin care ingredient used in a wide range of cosmetic products. The main purpose of this being added is to bind the ingredients together. Laureth-7: Laureth-7 is obtained and extracted from lauric acid. This mainly acts as an emulsifier and surfactant in beauty products. C13-14 Isoparaffin: Extracted from petroleum, this particular ingredient acts as a thickening agent to thicken the consistency of the cream. Phenoxyethanol: Pink Privates steers clear of parabens and uses phenoxyethanol as an alternative to parabens which is much safer. It is primarily used as a preservative to beauty products. Ethylhexylglycerin: Another alternative to parabens, Ethylhexylglycerin is added to incinerate the growth of bacteria. It also helps to enhance the execution of other preservatives and stabilizers in the product. Purified Water: Nothing but good old purified natural water. Knowing the ingredients not only gives you reeling confidence in the product but also gives you peace of mind. All the handpicked ingredients are added to make Pink Privates more gentle on your skin and to suit the nature of your intimate areas. By now, you can be fully assured that the Pink Privates formula stays away from harmful ingredients that could cause nasty and dreadful side effects such as severe irritation to the skin, redness and certain allergic reactions caused due to parabens and mercury. Pink Privates Bleaching Cream – How to Apply? With any topical cream, proper application is equally important to get effective results that you hope for. Here’s how to get started with this whitening cream- - Shave or wax your intimate area 2 to 3 days before the application. This ensures the cream penetrates deeply into the skin without unwanted hair blocking its way. - Before application, take a mild scrub and exfoliate the area gently to take away dead skin cells resting on the surface. - Wash off the scrub and dry the area with a gentle towel. Make sure there is no sign of moisture present on the surface. - Apply a smooth layer and start rubbing the product in thoroughly. - Make sure the cream covers the entire area that you wish to lighten. - Wait for approximately 5 minutes and allow the product to work its magic. - Once the cream is completely dried, wash it off with warm water. - Repeat this process twice every day for upto 8 weeks to see best results. Pink Privates Before & After Pictures Pink Privates – Price & Where To Buy Aligning to the level of the result it shows, Pink Privates is effectively priced at $35 in Australia. You can easily find it at major retailer giants like Ebay and Amazon. It can be also sourced from your nearby cosmetic shop. However, there is always a limited quantity of stock at offline stores and they usually sell out quickly. Read the full article
