so i don't think hyde would have good relationships i think he's too much jekylls evil half and it makes more sense if jakyll likes larry and selma but hyde tries to ruin their reationships because he hates jekyll for being the good one. hyde takes away everything from jekyll so jekyll can't get better

this ask is a little confusing to me. As far as I write them, Hyde is Jekyll.

In my AU I don't treat them like totally separate people, Hyde is everything Jekyll holds back. He's the product of all of Jekyll's repressed pain and anger manifested into a being. Jekyll can't resist being Hyde because being Hyde feels good, being Hyde feels freeing. Hyde resents Jekyll because Jekyll's whole personality is a facade, everything from the polite bedside manner he uses as a doctor to the quiet, chaste, reserved, Victorian gentleman is a well crafted mask that he wears because he's afraid of how others will treat him if he lets himself live as his authentic self, even for a day, even for a minute.

While there is some split between them and Jekyll/Hyde does have conversations with himself, the two aren't so segregated that the Hyde persona is a completely different person who wants to hurt Jekyll because he's "the bad half", he wants Jekyll to accept that he has vices and rage and be honest with himself. Hyde is, ultimately, the purest version of Jekyll because he's unfiltered by Jekyll's reservations. Jekyll isn't good and Hyde isn't evil. That's just not how they work

If he ruins his relationships it's because he's cruel and abusive, not because he's trying to make himself more miserable. He lashes out because it feels good in the moment, not because he wants to punish Jekyll for being "The good twin" or something like that.

Jekyll/Hyde is an asshole who's selfish and greedy, he may even hate himself deep down because he knows he'll never be as good as the people around him but he doesn't get up in the morning and think "Oh yes, I'm going to be an arsehole to Larry today because it will upset the old Jekyll persona!"

He is NOT Jekyll's enemy. If Jekyll likes someone there's no reason he'd like them less as Hyde, even if he's more likely to hurt them. It might only be head canon but I believe even as Hyde he cared about Utterson and Lanyon and losing them was a blow he hasn't recovered from. He doesn't just lose the capacity to care about others because he's Hyde.

i often think about jekyll going out as hyde for the first time and finding soo much relief in not having to control himself anymore, only to be overcome with fear when he realizes he cant control himself anymore

The neat thing about being a Will Wood fan is that you find this decently sized community of people who like this guy and you're like "wow look at all these people I can talk to!" But it definitely isn't that BIG of a community

But after a while you realize that they're everywhere, the best example I can give is that I'm in quite a few different discord servers, for quite a few different things, and I can't name one active server that doesn't have at least one or two Will Wood fans™ and its not like it's always the same people
