there’s nothing specific about his character I hate, all of my friends love him. yet when I look at him or see something about him I am fueled with an anger so deep its like he personally slaughtered my cat.

Oh my god the thought of a redeemed Vlad being in the picture like a background rich wine aunt, just being petty and deciding to be the thorn in Bruce's side and making his one easy access and help(his money) useless, it's just so beautiful. I would love to see this be another multi pov storie that has to generes playing at once, depending on who's pov the story is focused on. Some funny comedy wedding from the Fenton perspective, but as soon as you look at it from batfams perspective, just angst in its purest form, especially if it's been quite some time that jasons been missing or away.

Imagine Amity Park has a barrier around it magically, that just makes the people inside fall to the background of the rest of the world's minds so the towns not found faster, and only the notification from the program reminds them, especially when followed up by titans and outlaws videos. Would the batfam feel that they isolated and then forgot about jason? Idk. I just wanna see the scrambling of trying to figure out not only what's happening but also trying to get closer and insert themselves into jasons life again.

Closing thought I had to tack on was it be funny if Bruce's was jealous and beefing with vlad over the money but then also turn around and beef with Jack for being a genuine himbo and developing a deep connection with jason and later the bat kids. Would love for himbo jack to be the equivalent of the Batfam whisperer, and just have an affinity to bond with Bruce's kids.

Road Trip

It was, it was always just a fight but the last one had been Jason and Bruce had been one of their worst and things only escalated after he accused Jason of having something to do with the Joker's disappearance.

It was another thing to hold against him. Another excuse to keep the Red Hood at arms length but Barbara knows Jason wasn't anywhere near Gotham when the clown went missing. Bruce checked. Tim double checked, but she knows because it wasn't like Jason was even trying to hide from any of them.

He was just traveling.

At first it was with the rest of the Outlaws for a bit and on and after for a while afterwards with the rest of his team joining up at different points along his trip across the country.

Weeks spent on the road from New York to Pennsylvania, a detour down to Atlanta and through Kentucky. A weekend spent traveling between Michigan and Toronto and a surprising sighting in Kansas which was one of the only stops she still didn't understand since he'd have to be traveling all night just to get to that small town he'd been spotted in and Jason didn't seem to be in any hurry.

A part of her had been tempted to call Kara and see if she'd look into the matter for her but cases kept piling up and they got busy. If it wasn't the usual villain of the day causing trouble then it was the power vacuum left behind by the still missing Joker or one the guys getting into trouble. So she left it alone.

Jason didn't seem like he was in any trouble. He'd come back sooner or later. He always came back. Except he didn't. Weeks turned into months, then a full year passed them by as sightings of the Red Hood grew less and less frequent and it was only a preemptive notification she sat up so long ago that reminded her of Jason's absence as she stares down at the computer monitor playing a few seconds of footage displaying a small crowd of people, the Outlaws, some of Young Justice and the Titans along with a few other people who were cheering him on as he slipped a ring on some red haired woman's finger. The context was clear enough but she didn't find out more about the what and why until later that night when Roy sent out an update to the rest of the Titans claiming dibs on being the best man.

The above is just something that I cobbled together after reading a few Jason leaves Gotham fics and the thought of Jazz killing the Joker for (insert reasons) so my mind kind of jumped to Jason living out his best Cinderella moment, chasing after, flirting (along with getting threatened by a pair of overprotective parents) and road tripping with his team while trying to find the woman who lost her bloody baseball bat. After they meet he's just doubling down on everything with the intent of marrying her, Jazz getting her own little road trip, telling Jason where they're going next or even making a game out of if he can find her at the next stop on the Fenton family supernatural hunting/cataloging road trip cause I know they love talking about ghost but the image of Jack and Maddie fighting Bigfoot is amazing.

And the Fentons are happy for the two of them. At least he wasn't another Johnny. They had Tucker check just to be sure while everyone else just kind of assumes the rest of the bat family already knew when it was actually a mix of (we're super busy right now) and (maybe things will be a little peaceful if we give Jason some space) leaving Bruce trying to play catch up and depending on if he's reformed having to outdo Vlad who is already paying for everything.

anyway this prompt is *chefs kiss* bc we all know Big Bad Jason Todd™ is such a loverboy softie but most of all he loves hard.

I think that before he met you he never thought that he would be so enamoured with someone who also feels the same way about him at the same time, that also wants to marry him??? He thinks he's too flawed and violent and abrasive for someone to even like being around him. So marrying him??? haha you're funny.

But after YEARS (yes, it takes him years of a committed relationship with you to fully trust that you actually like being with him for an extended period of time, let alone forever) of handling his emotions, outbursts and injuries with grace while still giving him a whack at the back of his head when he's being stupid, he considers marrying you.

Remember, Jason Todd is fucking scared himself, and he doesn't want to scare you off with a ring that literally promises forever with him. Though he loves you, he wants you to be happy in the end. Will you be happy with him in the end?

It takes a lot of mental and emotional strength to overcome these fears that swirl around his head.

When he does get over it though, he's so attentive yet sneaky when picking your ring. There's a luxury jewellery store on the way to your favourite clothing store at the mall, and he literally takes you to the whole mall just to pass by the store. He always looks to see what your eyes catch, what you like and don't like. Doesn't matter if he ends up spending hundreds since you're at the mall so much, he'll do it just to make sure he gets exactly what you want.

Jason also uses his extensive detective training to find out what cut and stone you want on the ring. He's ok with diamonds, but would want something more unique and personal for his love. He wants something that always reflects you, no matter the occasion.

Side note: once the ring comes he would definitely put together a photo album of pics he took of the ring in plain sight while you're completely oblivious just for shits and giggles

Finally, when it's time to pop the question, he doesn't do flashy and big productions with lights and letters and petals and stuff.

He would be dancing in the kitchen with you on a lazy Saturday, eating pancakes and bacon and when the song ends just casually asks "if I were to ask you, would you marry me?" Now he looks collected as he lovingly smiles down at you but is actually shitting himself until you say that you would in fact marry him if he asked. Then he reaches into his back pocket and pulls out the most perfect, detailed, gorgeous ring you could ever ask for while properly asking you to marry him. Cue the waterworks (from both of you) and the celebratory make-out sesh.

Why kill Tim when you could kill baby Jason? What I want is for all of them to keep their own backstories and personalities (Developed in line with the story of course) So ofc i had to write a 1,000 word brainrot abt it.

(Also i'll only be going over the main 4 batbros for now i will add more later but these guys are the ones im most passionate about so here we go)

Damian

Let Damian come in, desperate to be of use and be worthy of his father, only for a softer, less jaded bruce (since jason hasnt died yet) to help him open up his heart and let him act as a kid. With no competition for so long, I imagine he and Bruce get along very well while he works with him. Yeah, they need to work on the no killing deal and Damian's... i guess impulse control? But i think it would be easier with very intensely focused reparenting; no distractions of other kids you know? No favoring or anything.

I see Damian growing up as a stoic, jaded adult. He's had a rough life. Maybe he sticks with the vigilante business. but I really love headcanons where he gets out of it, and focuses on something calmer, like his art. (I do appreciate and love the veterinarian Damian AUs, but im going for FULL calmness, you know? And doctor/vet work is Not calm lol)

So yeah, maybe he grows a real passion for heroism, maybe he doesn't? Maybe he goes on to be an artist and that's just what he does. Bro is ready to settle down as a scarred, veteran trophy husband and i adore him for that.

(Sorry lol i just love Damian and i love the idea of him growing out of both of his parent's legacies. Let him live his own life!!! He fights so so hard for at least 15 years. ALL 15 years of his life. He deserves to have some peace.)

Tim i think would need a much different story to join the Batfam. He still starts out as a stalker who follows batman and. . . . . . . Redimar (meaning Redemption iykyk (I just spend 17min researching names rip)) at night, takes photos, etc... Since Damian doesn't die, maybe he finds Tim? and like, tim is like 11 and Damian is 17 or 18. He's started going out as Redimar less and less, not that B really minds? In fact hes probably happy for his son so...

But then Damian finds Tim, and now he has to keep going out because he can't let this kid get himself killed like this. He would hold himself accountable since hes the only reason Tim keeps going out so much- also i imagine Tim follows Redimar more than Batman.

Cue a classic Tim Joining The Batfam plotline. They get to know each other better, get a grasp on Tim's situation, Damian finally introduces Tim to Bruce... (Probably something like Dami: "Father, this is my new brother. Timothy, say hello to Father," Tim: "Hello, Father," Dami: "Perfect." Bruce: "*falls off the batchair*)

Anyway, so, Tim ends up kinda just merging with the Waynes. They start training him, its all good and nice, and Tim makes his own little hero team unlike Damian, which is actually pretty interesting here; its Tim who made the first young hero team. Damian only ever had Jon (Superboy 1 in this!!) and he finds Young Just Us and becomes a great leader and its all fine and dandy.

Tim and Damian get along well. Damian is the sage older brother whos kinda distant, but only because he has such high emotional walls (but secretly a softy). He is very much like Bruce- nope, nevermind, hes definitely worse than Bruce in this AU, since Bruce is depicted as being much more agreeable before Jason's death, you know? So yeah, Damian is the emotionally constipated bitch in the fam and we love him for that. But hey!! Tim does manage to get through his walls! And Bruce does sometimes too!! (Tho i imagine Bruce and Damian's relationship to be very.. idk let me try to expalain. Dami: "Father." Bruce: "Son :)" Dami: "Tt." Bruce: *nods* "Hrn." Dami: "Hmph." Bruce: "Hm.") DO U PICK UP WHAT IM PUTTING DOWN--- lmfao. They hardly need words.

Tim ends up growing up very very capable. Once his parents die, he gets a little jaded, but hes still Tim. He and Damian become kind of an... ice prince duo? If you get what I mean. But Tim is the one whos actually the ice prince, Damian is secretly a HUGE softie. He is Delicate and Tim protects him lmfao.

Jason

Jason comes along like he does in canon. Has the same backstory. Tries to steal the Batmobile's wheels. Tim is sleeping over at Damian's flat for the night, so its just Bruce. They bond. Shit happens. Jason joins the fam.

I don't imagine them not getting along, but they don't immediately hit it off either. Jason is wary of all of them for a time, but he ends up warming up to Damian pretty fast after realizing what a softie he is. He pokes fun at Damian and Damian just freaking takes it lmao. Hes an adult he cannot be disturbed. Bro has seen too much and he finds Jason adorable. (Dami: "You were never this cute, Timothy." <- he is lying. Tim: *offended* "What the fu- flip!?" Jason: "Lmao Tim just say fuck." Dami: *deadpan stare* Tim: "JASON NO DONT SAY THE FUCK WORD-") ahem.

anywho and then Jason dies rip skill issue ratio.

The whole batfam is heartbroken. Genuinely shattered. Jason was a light in their lives. Not that they were WITHOUT any light, but Jason was the epitome of a sunshine child.

It's been too long since Damian has killed someone. Bro's god oodles and oodles of trauma. He can't bring himself to kill the Joker.

but Tim can.

It's a whole dramatic thing; Damian feels awful that he made his- now only- little brother kill. Bruce is hella upset but feels responsible for not seeing how badly both of his kids were handling the death of their brother. Tim goes a little off the deep end.

Things turn out.... okay. sort of. but not really. Tim changes his hero name to Red Cardinal. He feels pretty lost. Maybe he stumbles into Ra's al Ghul or smthn idk maybe smthn happens there perhaps. Maybe Damian has to put on Redimar again and rescue him? But its less of a rescue and more of a "Stop joining the dark side Tim jesus christ-" (and it does work).

They go home. Tim gets a boyfriend or two. Damian falls into his art. Bruce is throwing himself into work. They're all kind of a mess, but they keep moving.

and then

Dick

ahem; and then the circus comes to town. The batfam- well, Tim, Damian, and Bruce- all decide to get together to do something fun. Take the opportunities given, yk? So they go to the circus together.

Wham bam rip the falling Flying Graysons.

They see Dick, breaking apart, and they know they have to do something. Bruce is the first to move. Then Tim. Damian is the last.

It's pretty quick getting Dick home, since Bruce is already a foster parent cuz of Tim yk. So Dick doesn't have to suffer in Juvie at all really. But that doesn't change the fact that he is ANGRY.

Dick is SO angry. he wants to kill the person who murdered his parents. He knows what he saw.

The fam of course do their best to investigate. Mostly Tim, who feels unworthy of being around an innocent little kid after his whole.... villain era, i suppose lol. (ofc Dick thinks Tim doesnt like him lol misunderstanding arc GO)

The whole "Dick accepts that justice is better than murder kinda maybe FOR NOW" storyline happens, and Dick becomes the conniving, bright, little Robin we all know and love. (Thinking of the Young Justice Cartoon Robin (but not the characters- just Dick's character) aaaand

" donna's thinking about the angles they'll have to work here, maybe a way to get their hands on some of jason's active casework, maybe even the archives if they need to when regulus speaks again and startles donna. she's a bit taken aback, having planned nearly down to what go-bag she'd grab on her way out when she realizes regulus intends to APOLOGIZE and leave. that won't do. she leans forward, gaze intent on transferring the message with the surefire undercoat of MEANING it when she says, " it's no imposition, regulus. i'm glad you came to me and i'd like to help you with the search. " there's a small part of her that's worried he might not want her help. that he truly came here as one of his stops on a solo hunt but now that donna knows jason's silence is likely FORCED, she can't stand another second of in action. " i think we can get jason back safely if we work together. "

he notes donna's diplomatic response on dick; though, he's sure she knows him better than regulus does. if she's not worried about him, then...

"... thanks." he sounds almost ashamed to say it, as if he's somehow already failed. hasn't he? if he couldn't find jason by himself, then it means he's not good enough, right? his brow twists and he holds himself a little straighter – maybe, by doing so, he'll look a little less like the weak, small person he feels.

"no. the last conversation we had was about ultion," he stops, lifts his eyes and offers a contemplative hum, "ahh... it's... a collaborative project we've been working on." not yet ready for release. "he said he had some thoughts, but wanted to check in on something before sharing." which isn't strange. jason seemed excited and regulus is more than patient. he waited in anticipation for news, and then he waited more, and he waited, and when his waiting turned into worry, and his worry turned into panic, he performed some... strategic preliminary searches and then ended up here.

now he wonders if he'd come too soon. should he have tried more? tried hard? well, he's already tried pretty hard, but there's a dependency in his actions that's starting to scare him. he and jason have their own lives and it's not as though jason knows everything about regulus', but it's only occurred to him, just now, how entwined they really are. by god — he flocked to the nearest aid after scarcely three weeks of disappearance!

okay, hear me out: capes au where everything is the same except the capes don't know each other's identities and roy's day job is a firefighter. imagine the red hood in star on business, or tracking some little shit down, when the building his safe house is in catches fire (somehow. idk. plot point here). hes stranded on one of the top floors, and sure, the red hood could get out of this no problem. red hood could probably eat the fire and then be fine. but jason has to maintain his secrer identity, so he plays good civilian while the firefighters come.

cue roy and his HUGE BICEPS where he fireman carries jason out—holy shit, how is this man carrying jason, a fucking FRIDGE of a man. it's cute. roy flirts. jason does his teasing flirting thing back. it's just to pass the time, also because he's an ex-robin and quips will forever be a part of him. it's fine. it's whatever. jason's never going to see roy again.

WRONG! weeks later, jason's prepping for when arsenal comes over to gotham to help out with some lead. it's probably the same case. another fire (don't ask me how. insert plot point b here) breaks loose and jason is being rescued by firemen again. only, what the fuck is roy doing here??? (he says there was a fireman conference (???). in reality, the fireman thing is a cover for roy to be in gotham. they don't know that they're partners in crime, partners who are there for each other always, even in their civilian lives)

more and more instances keep happening where jason needs to be rescued by roy from a fire. it starts trending, and just like how the red hood is tim drake's unofficial saviour, roy the star city fireman is jason todd's saviour. identity shenanigans happen. jason has a bit of a "oh my god im having actual feelings what the fuck do i do lets ignore it and keep going" moment in regards to falling for arsenal and roy. roy has a "shit im in love with bruce wayne's son and also batman's son. whoever i pick, ollie is kicking my ass" moment, especially after having a kid with a league assassin. (and the red hood IS an ex league assassin, HA)

more dumbfuckery ensues. jason actually deals with his emotions, maybe. roy deals with his emotions too much, maybe. in the end, lian gets two dads, probably a cat, maybe a dog, and a whole cauldron of bats as aunts and uncles.

i am so glad you asked. plz never apologize, your asks are always welcome, awkward or not. jason has nightmares frequently, as mentioned in part 2:

He’s insisted on having you stay with him, but sharing a bed is a luxury you’ve been without, being forced to sleep on the couch every night instead. It’s surprisingly comfy, but good rest is still hard to come by, given the frequent, violent nightmares that plague your boyfriend’s mind and make him cry out in his sleep.

so it wouldn't be a first time for reader. but this is the first time her and jason are actually sleeping in the same bed since they've been reunited, so it's a good question to ask.

i imagine that the first few times she woke up from his night terrors, reader tried to comfort him and offer support, but jason lashed out at her, similar to how he did after the scene in the bathroom after she patched him up. so reader got used to just leaving him be, not bothering to get off the couch. it hurts her though, knowing that he's suffering and she can't help.

but now that he's allowed reader this new level of intimacy, would reader feel bold enough to try and comfort him again? lets say for the sake of your question, yes.

and my answer is it depends on what the nightmare is about. if it's a vivid nightmare [as described above] reliving a traumatic memory of his torture, jason would most likely be more worked up/fearful and therefore take a bit longer to calm down once he wakes up. he'd probably be embarrassed, as as soon as he's regulated his breathing and become aware of where he's really at, he'd shrug reader's loving touch away and be standoffish. it's just something he isn't ready to talk about and he scared to be so vulnerable around her.

if it was a less violent/vivid nightmare, where he wakes with a start but isn't hyperventilating or panicking, i think he would deny it and tell reader to go back to sleep even though reader can obviously tell he was in anguish. i don't think, at this point, he would allow himself to accept reader's comfort, but he's let his guard down enough that he wouldn't like get violent or yell at her for trying to help unless she pushed him.

i dunno. i feel like it could really depend on the day. i'm portraying jason's emotions as especially tumultuous, so any of your suggestions could be a fair guess too! he keeps reader on her toes, fr.

i know you've been talking about jason lately so i'll ask about smth different... robin jason (sorry)

idk idk lately i've been wanting to take a peek at his robin comics for the sake of writing fic (ofc...) but i'd like to hear what u think before that, a summary of sorts if u may (i also wanna contrast what u say with what i get out of it so yeah)

i feel like his robin days are so muddled by his identity as red hood later on, and even before that it was his death. u had people constantly blaming jason for dying in text (or else they'd have to admit bruce can make mistakes and everyone in dc is allergic to doing that) and painting him like someone reckless and violent (classist editorial u need to DIE), and then people in fanon painting him like a sweet fella who would do nothing wrong and as well as being bruce's Only Actual Son etc etc for the sake of making the situation around him all the more sadder (yeah yeah pathetic meow meow we've all seen it)

and i'm just curious bc i rlly wonder what the actual comics say about him, most likely something in the middle of this? exams are killing me but my god i'll come back to life after im done just to read jason robin's days... have a good day !!!

the difficulty with reading about jason as robin is that there are three primary periods that all differ fairly dramatically from each other — pre-crisis jason todd is a strawberry blond acrobat who’s almost adopted by dick grayson before becoming robin; post-crisis jason todd is a kid from crime alley who steals the wheels off the batmobile before becoming robin; and post-crisis, post-utrh jason todd is a very angry, very violent kid who becomes a cautionary tale after he gets himself killed (something he is often blamed for).

we can walk the line here. pre-crisis jason isn’t particularly relevant because so much of robin!jason’s stories depend on his reinvention after the reboot. all the crucial factors leading up to death in the family — growing up in the alley, both his mothers, his relationship with the robin mantle, his developing relationship with dick grayson, his slow schism from bruce, his relative isolation from other superheroes — are all crucial to who he is, especially after his death.

fanon about jason is annoying because there are valid criticisms that can be made about how he’s written with regressive, classist stereotypes, but as always it pivots way too far in one direction. jason wasn’t the “happy” or “angry” robin in the same way that dick wasn’t the happy or angry robin — they’re both characters that possess more than a single emotion. it’s true that jason was later written to be more explicitly violent (to contrast him with dick) but also like… they’re both pretty similar characters that differ in interesting ways. dick created robin to be a symbol of hope and joy. jason carried that on when he took up the mantle. they can both be angry at stuff without the world falling apart. it’s not that serious.

the dialogue about dick being a child soldier but jason being the true son makes me want to tear my hair out. jason became robin because bruce missed dick and was afraid of being alone. they’re both his gd kids. acting as though bruce wayne doesn’t love dick grayson so much that extra-dimensional beings can clock it is so fucking stupid. it once again ties into fanon’s obsession with each character only getting to be “one” thing. tim is smart, which means he’s the smartest. jason said robin made him magic, which means he’s happy all the time. dick chased after zucco in a grief spiral, which means he’s the violently angry one, with no other character traits. dick can’t have been nice to jason because he’s nice to tim, etc. seems a little silly, no?

i think i’ve only read jason’s brief run as robin once, though ive gone through a death in the family + a lonely place of dying a bunch of times, so ig my advice for reading him is to keep in mind the context in which he was created. dc comics was reeling from losing dick grayson as robin, and were really throwing anything at the wall to get something to stick. many, many negative tropes are baked into his introduction, and thanks to writers like jeph loeb and scott lobdell they have compounded over time. jason’s updated backstory is, with actual critical intent by the writer, a really good examination of how poverty and class will affect how someone views the world. his death was not his fault — and removing sheila haywood from that warehouse purposely makes his story less tragic. he was a good kid! and he was angry for a good reason. if jason had lived, i believe he would’ve carried on the robin tradition and left bruce behind once their differences became insurmountable.

yea, i'm just gonna ramble about jason for a bit . . . sorry. his lashes are dark and longer than mine (im a little mad abt that but yk). his eyes are the perfect shades of dark greens. sometimes its difficult to listen to what he's saying when he's talking about his little books because of the sparkle in his eyes. they're very distracting. he'll give me a look when i make a stupid joke, that he knows he shouldn't laugh at, trying to hold it together before finally giving in and laughing. he laughs so hard and smiles so big that little smile lines show.

he is a big guy (bro's 6'4??), so it's amusing when he sleeps so soundly with my pink blankets with little cats on them. jason takes up most of my full-sized bed and i have to shove him over so i can lay in my bed. he's just a big cat that i drag around with me.

this isn't a deep emotional fear but here ya go. in all my drs, my biggest fear is heights. i hate them so much. yk that feeling in your knees when you go up above ten floors in an elevator? yea that shit makes me feel sick.

🍑 : OVERRIPE PEACH . . . what kind of a future do you imagine for yourself in your dr? white picket fence material, with marriage and a couple kids? perhaps childless but continuing on your adventures til old age, or all of the above?

i know that i'll have a career to brittany broski (w/o the extreme & continuous hypocrisy). i'd love to post creative & entertaining yt videos while also having a talk show to interview interesting people. also a podcast because everyone has one.

but in the other aspect of my life I honestly i don't exactly know what the future will be like in this dr. i would love to figure out more of myself before having others depending on me.

so we got a bitchy!reader but not those people who make being mean their whole personality. They're a bitch who would say mean comments as a reflex response probs cuz they grew up in a not so happy family or something idk (def not self projecting), and they dont know how to take compliments, don't know how to react or show emotion, esp with gift giving (DEF not self projecting 🫡🫡). BUT they're absolutely smitten and head over heels for Jason!!

And reader starts crying or whatever cuz they thought Jason was going to break up with them. And then Jason sits reader down for a long talk abt how he DOESNT want to break up with them and abt his whole other secret life and such.

"baby, you here?" you asked, entering cabin one to an almost-empty place, being only occupated by the massive zeus' statue in it - which, almost two years before, your boyfriend confined you that it really looked hippie. it did. but jason wasn't in his cabin.

you didn't find the situation weird, since he was probably finishing sparring - or maybe showering, you wouldn't know - so you just sat on his bed to wait for him.

but when you laid on his usually soft bed, covered with his emotional support rain-themed blanket, there was something hard on it. you winced when the thing hit you rib cage and quickly went away from it, pulling the covers off the thing so you could know what it was.

when the thing was out of the warm heat it was engulfed, she had to gasp. it was the book she was reading just a week ago, the language of flowers. definitely a newer version, but still the same book. and while she flipped the pages, she noticed diverse notes in a massive variety of colors.

"y/n's favorite" was written right under the hyacinth with a pink color. "y/n doesn't like it, attract bees" written in yellow under the daisy. and, written in red, massive letters on the page marker was "NEVER, EVER BUY FLOWERS TO HER!!!! buy the seeds and soil and plant them. don't kill the flowers"

you felt tears pricking in your eyes, and they were quick to fall from it. when you put the book bad on the bed, the door opened to a very happy jason with a small pack of seeds in his hands. when he saw you crying, his smile fell and he ran to your side.

"baby, what's up? what's going on?" he said, craddling her in his arms without even questioning it.

"i- i found y-your book." you said, smiling through the tears and sniffles. that brought a smile to his face.

"you did?"

"mhm."

"and what do you think?"

"do you want kids?"
