Jason should get more kudos for somehow surviving as a demigod (and a child of The Big Three) despite being half-blind for who knows how long before finally getting glasses after being diagnosed by Asclepius at basically the end of the series.
(No wonder he couldn’t dodge any bricks or anything. He couldn’t see them coming)

Slashers React to You Being Harassed
Warnings: Being verbally harassed by a gross man, some cuss words
A/N: A lot of you seemed to really like the last "Slashers React" fic I did, so I figured I'd write up another one. This came out a little cheesy, but oh well? Hope you enjoy!
Tumblr media
Context: You were feeling a little cooped up recently due to being stuck inside from the flu. Now that you were feeling better, you wanted to go out and take some time away from home. But of course, you could never have more than a few minutes of peace. Some older man decides that you are the perfect one to pick on. He attempts to flirt with you, and even after saying "no" a handful of times, he still doesn't get the hint.
Tumblr media
Michael Myers
You were honestly a little scared
Not for yourself, but for what was going to happen to the man
Even after weeks of insistence, Michael refused to let you go anywhere on your own
Even if he wasn't right next to you, he was lurking somewhere nearby
He was a blatant and proud stalker
So you knew that it wouldn't take long before-
Welp
The man is now dead with a slit throat
That was quick
"You could have stepped in sooner, you know?"
He just grips onto your hand and drags you back home
"But I've only been outside for five minutes!" you protest
He forces you to stay inside for another couple of weeks
Tumblr media
Jason Voorhees
This disgusting man was now attempting to reach out and touch you
You took a step back and tried to put some space between you two
But in the blink of an eye, a large machete burst through his chest at you, your clothes getting splattered with blood
You scream
The now dead man drops to the ground as your eyes meet his killer
"Jesus, Jason! A bit of a warning next time, please."
He just tilts his head at you
You start grumbling about how your clothes were basically ruined now
Jason just picks you up and swings you over his shoulder
"This was my favorite shirt," you continue groaning
He gifts you with a small pocket knife the next day to take with you when you go out
Tumblr media
Brahms Heelshire
You promised Brahms you wouldn't step too far off the Heelshire property line
So the fact that anyone was even over here seemed odd to you
And now here you were, wishing Brahms wasn't so weird about leaving the house
Because unfortunately, this man didn't seem like he was going to go away without a fight
So you did the only thing you could think of in that moment
You screamed
It lasted a few seconds
But the man didn't seem fazed
"There's no one else out here, Sweetheart," he said
"Hmm?" a voice spoke behind him
The man spun around and was immediately thrown to the ground
Brahms bashed his head in repeatedly with a rock
"Thank you-" you started
Brahms just grabbed you by the arm and drug you back inside the house
He didn't let you go outside for a while after that
Tumblr media
Billy Loomis
You were about ready to punch this man yourself
But you didn't want to risk anything since you were alone
This man was good sized and you knew that trying to fight him probably wouldn't end well for you
But lo and behold, you wouldn't even have to lift a finger
A knife was quickly plunged into the man's throat causing him to bleed out in seconds
After a moment, you finally looked up and saw Billy in front of you
"Thank, God," you sighed, hugging the boy
It took you a second before you pulled away, looking at him in confusion
"Wait, how did you know I was out here?"
Billy avoided your gaze
"Were you stalking me?"
"I like to call it, observing"
You let out a groan
Tumblr media
Stu Macher
You're crazy if you think Stu was going to let you outside by yourself
This boy is glued at your hip 24/7
The only reason why this other man was even flirting with you right now is because Stu went off to "take a whizz" as he likes to say
Thankfully, this doesn't normally take him long
So as this man continued to push his luck, Stu walked up next to you, his eyes a little dark
"Is there a problem here, babe?" he asked a little too nicely
How you answer this is definitely going to affect what Stu does next
But this man was pissing you off so...
"Yeah, he won't leave me alone"
And that's all it took for the man to end up dead on his side, a knife in his chest
Afterwards, Stu and you continued your little venture outside
He just held you a lot closer to him the whole time
Tumblr media
Eric Draven
You were honestly getting freaked out by this man
In a city like this, anyone could be hurt
But your moment of panic soon died down to the sight of a black crow perching on the nearby building
"Thank you," you murmured
"What was that?" the man spat back
You couldn't help but smile a bit
"You're about to get your ass kicked"
He just laughed at you
Your smile grew when you saw a figure approach the man from behind
He noticed this and turned around, only to be met with the city's best vigilante
"Hi"
The man was suddenly struck with a metal pipe
And he continued to be struck another 17 times
Eric walked up to you after he was done, his painted face dripping with red
"You didn't have to kill him," you said
Eric just shrugged
"Oops?"

Tim stepped cleanly inside the room, and carefully shut the door behind him after checking if anyone was in the hallway. “What are you-” Danny started confused. Tim was acting very unusually right now.
“I’m Red Robin.” He said.
Danny stared at him for a few seconds. Tim had expected him to be more shocked, Danny wasn’t like Damian and Bruce in the aspect of holding back his reactions. He watched Danny carefully and noticed that he wasn’t even surprised at all.
His shoulder shifted a little, and a look passed in his eyes. He was relieved. That didn’t make any sense unless, “You knew.”
It made an irrevocable amount of sense. The stupid excuses he didn’t question, the easy slide bys on things that didn’t add up. Tim had wondered why Danny never brought it up with any of them. He was always quick to call bullshit on things but conveniently never on their mission cover ups.
“Yeah.” He admitted quietly, findling with the small screwdriver in his hand.
“Why didn’t you say something before?” Tim asked. He felt a little ridiculous about it all now, “How long have you known?” Tim’s mind went back to the dining room argument from last night and he rolled through it in his head. “Wait, Jason knows you know, doesn’t he?” Tim blurted, “That why he- why didn’t I realize this sooner?”
“I mean I know you guys can’t just tell whoever you want. It’s a secret identity for a reason. You guys didn’t want me to know. So I acted like I didn’t.” Danny shrugged. “I figured it out when Dick and Bruce were in Amity, and yeah, Jason knows. He also knows I’m Phantom. Cass knows too- not the Phantom thing. Or maybe she does, I don't know.”
“You knew the whole time?” Tim balked. All the effort they put in to hide the proof before he came, and he knew the whole time. Wait, did he say- “You’re Phantom?” Tim practically yelled.
Danny blinked at him, “I thought you knew that.” He pointed the end of the screw driver at him, “Why were you guys so okay with him being in the cave then?”
“We thought he was Thomas Jr.” Tim threw his hands up, rethinking his entire career choice. “I mean, yeah he was in Amity with you, but we figured it was like a guardian ghost thing since the time Dick met him that one time when you got lost or something he was the one- holy shit, you were following them the whole time weren’t you.”
“You thought Thomas was Phantom?” Danny laughed, finding this ridiculous.
“Isn’t that how supernatural stuff works or something. Like, you guys are linked because you were switched with each other and because you were with the family he was supposed to be with so he turned into a protective spirit to, like, watch over you or something.”
Danny's look of appalment only deepened as Tim continued explaining. “Who told you that?”
“I mean we just kinda figured it out ourselves based on past experiences.”
“Past experience?”
“With supernatural stuff the right conclusion is always the most unexpected and slightly irrational one.”
Danny snorted at that. “That is a really bad rule of thumb.”
“Right, then explain how you’re the ghost Phantom when you’re also human and alive Danny.” Tim crossed his arms. He was trying really hard not to over analyze that right. Did that mean Danny was dead or that Phantom was alive? How could he be both? Well according to Schrödinger's theory- not now Tim. He should make a new file for this later and then he’d think about it. Alone. In his room where he could properly freak out over this.
“Touche.” Danny clearly thought this was funny so no need to put a damper on the mood. Especially after everything that already happened.
This information changed a lot of things. Tim would have to refer this back to the Fenton-Masters case. What about Damian? Did he know Danny was Phantom? Probably not, considering none of them had, apparently aside from Jason. It would be almost impossible for Tim to not tell him that since they were supposed to be working it together. Tim wasn’t sure how he would take the information. Not only that, but gave a new scope to the vultures that had attacked and the monster that had showed up from the pits.
Later. File. Many lists.
“Do you want to come to Mt. Justice?” Tim asked him.
“Like the museum?”
“Yes and no. It’s also the Young Justice base. It’s top secret and no ones supposed to know about it.”
“What! Then why are you telling me?”
“Do you wanna go or not?”
“Is that even allowed?”
“Definitely not.”
Danny raised a brow. “Then we can’t go?”
“It’s far but we can just take the jet. It’s like 30 minutes tops. We could take the zeta-tubes but then Bruce would find out you took the zeta-tubes and then we’d be fucked. Well, mostly me. But still.”
“Wouldn’t he find out we took the jet then?”
“He wouldn’t know you were on the jet. It’s not weird for me to be going there since it is my team.”
“What if we get in trouble?”
“We’ll only get in trouble if we get found out.” Tim shrugged, “Do you want to go or not?”
Danny considered it for a moment before a grin tipped his face. “Yeah.”
“Sweet.” Tim reached for his phone only not realizing he didn’t have it. “I’ll let them know we’ll be coming around. They’re all already there. Tell Alfred you’ll be going out with some friends and then come meet me at Drake Manor.”
Danny seemed to embrace the situation now, forgoing his earlier hesitance. “I’ll wrap up some stuff. I should do breakfast too so Alfred doesn’t think anything is up. I’ll give you a heads up before I’m out the door. I’ll take my bike.”
“Take the long way round since the Manor’s in the opposite direction of the city.”
Danny nodded. “What about you?” he asked.
“No one’s gonna ask if I go in costume.” Tim shrugged, “Speaking of costume…” Tim turned to where he knew the wardrobe to be, “Let me see your clothes.” He opened the double doors in the bathroom where the closest would be and blinked at the largely empty room. “Where are the rest of your clothes?” He asked. Danny looked confused by that, “Oh,” Tim realized, “You used a second closet. Smart. Is it in the lab?”
“No, Tim.” He said, pacing his words, “These are all my clothes.”
“Oh. Why?”
“This is a normal amount of clothes to own.”
“But it’s like barely covering a fourth of your closet. And that’s only because everything is so spread apart.”
“That's because the closest is the size of a literal barn. Why on Earth would I need that many clothes?”
“I thought Bruce gave you an allowance?”
“He did.”
“Is it not enough?”
Danny balked at him. “Did you ask to see my closet just to make fun of me?” He huffed.
“I’m not making fun, I’m concerned.” Tim said genuinely. Did Danny not feel comfortable asking for things? It must be because they were keeping so many secrets and he thought they didn’t trust him. This clearly ran deeper than Tim originally thought.
Danny shoved his hand in Tim’s face, pushing him back. “Can we get back to the point?”
“Right.”
--- later ---
“Give it back!”
“No, I had it first!
“Nu-uh. I just put it down for like two seconds when you grabbed it.”
“You were gone for the whole round.”
“Where’s the controller you had before?”
“It died.”
“There's a bunch of other ones in the drawer.”
“You can have one from there, then.”
“No! I want the one I had back.” Tim insisted.
“No.” Danny moved so he couldn’t reach it.
“That controller is player 1, so give it back.”
“Exactly why I’m not giving it back.”
“Why would you be player 1?”
Danny looked so smug at that, “If you recall, I’m actually older than you which gives me sovereign right over player 1.” He said pushing Tim away.
“That doesn’t even mean anything!”
“Ah, to be young and naive.”
“Fuck you.” Tim said, tackling him off the sofa.
“What on God’s green Earth is going on here?” Cass asked, returning from their small intermission for snacks.
Bart rushed up to join her. “Is Danny winning?”
“No.”
“Yes.”
“No you're not! Give it back.”
“Get off me.”
Kon was the last to come onto the site. “Guys.” He said seriously, “Superman’s coming. And there’s someone with him.”
Tim stopped trying to strangle Danny, sharing a look of panic with his team.
“So?” Danny asked, confused.
“Danny, you're not supposed to be here.” Tim hissed at him. “Shit. How do we hide you from Superman?”
“It was nice knowing you.” Kon said with a sarcastic smile.
“How far is he?” Cassie asked.
“He’ll be here in like two minutes.”
“I’ll hide under the couch, he probably won’t look under there.” Danny offered.
“He can hear your heartbeat.”
Danny smiled widely. “I got it covered.” He said, pulling himself into the small space.
Bart giggled in excitement.
“How-”
Kon gave a silent sign that Superman was here, sending a confused look towards the couch Danny had slid under. Tim’s phone buzzed with a notification.
Just then, “Konner?” Clark called from the Mission Room.
The team shared a silent look. They’d just have to trust Danny had this covered.
“We’re in here.” Bart called even though Clark would already know that.
Tim put up two fingers to silently ask Kon if there was someone else with him. He received an affirmative. This was a horrible day for prospective teammate introductions.
“Hey guys.” Clark smiled, then confused “Why are you sitting on the floor Red Robin?” He asked.
“I was checking something.” Tim said, picking up the controller Danny had been forced to abandon.
“Oh, okay.” He nodded, not questioning it further. “I’m glad all of you are already here.”
“Are we getting a mission?” Cassie asked.
“Sort of.” Clark said, excited. Then in Kryptonian, “ Come .” He said to someone behind him they couldn’t see. Tim couldn’t hear any footsteps. And he found out it was because the person Clark was introducing them to could fly. And Tim also found out that Clark had spoken in kryptonian because this new person was a kryptonian. One that Tim had never met before. “This is Kara. She’s my cousin. The entire situation isn’t all clear yet but as it stands we understand that her pod, while launched at the same time as mine, was caught in an asteroid belt and was only left free recently, when it landed near the Fortress of Solitude.” Clark turned to Kara and introduced them to her in Kryptonian and then added, “ Tim and Kon-el speak Kryptonian which is why I thought you would be more comfortable here instead of the Watch Tower. Though, Kon’s could use some work. ” He teased.
“Hey, my Kryptonian is fine.”
“Why don’t you try saying that in Kryptonian?”
“ My fine is Kryptonian .” Kon said confidently.
Clark laughed and Kara looked at Kon like he grew a second head.
“I don’t even speak Kryptonian and I could tell that didn’t sound right.” Cassie laughed.
Tim took his turn to introduce himself to the nervous and quite blonde. “ I’m Red Robin. ” He pointed to the symbol on his chest. “ It’s nice to meet you. ” He put out a hand for her to shake but Kara just stared at it. Maybe they don’t have hand shakes on Krypton. Since Clark had grown up on Earth he didn’t really know much about the customs of his home planet for them to have learned it beforehand.
“ Nice to meet you. I am Kara Zor-el, daughter of Captain Zor-El and the Lady Alura. ” Then she stuck out her hand like Tim had. When Tim took it to shake Kara seemed surprised by it.
“ You’ll be in good hands here, Kara. I’ll be back to check on you later but if you need anything Kon or any of the others can get a hold of me for you, okay ?” Clark said softly trying to gauge if she’d actually be okay here without him.
Kara started at Clark for a moment like she was processing what he’d said, “ Why will anyone need to hold you? ”
“Oh.” Clark pondered it, “ It’s an Earth phrase. It just means that they’ll send me a message or contact me if you feel like you want me to come back. ”
Kara took another pause to process and then, “ I see. ” And does a hand gesture that Tim didn’t understand. And neither did Clark. No one commented on it.
After Clark left the atmosphere of the room went stale. Danny was still under the couch and they weren’t sure how willing Kara would be to not tell Clark about it. But they couldn’t leave Kara. And Tim’s phone was buzzing with notifications that he did not want to check because he recognized the haptics of the health app he had. The one that had everyone, including Danny’s, vitals. Danny, who Tim was pretty sure had just stopped his heart for the entire duration of Clark being here. Which had been a very long duration.
Kara looked between them, confused. “ Is there something meant to be done? ”
“ How’s your english, Kara?” Tim asked.
“ Only a little . Kal-El said it will take time .”
“ Langage harding learn. ” Kon nodded. Kara lipped his words back to herself trying to make sense of it.
“What do we do about our stowaway?” Cass whispered to Tim. She didn’t speak Kryptnoian, but she understood enough to know what Tim had asked.
“I could dash him out. Maybe we could spend the day together at the mall and then we’ll be best friends and then he won’t want to hang with Tim anymore because he’d rather hang out with me because I’m so much more fun.” Bart said all in one breath, his words afterwards speeding up too fast for Tim to make any sense of.
“She’ll know something’s up. We need to test her loyalty.” Tim strategized while Kon attempted to keep Kara in conversation.
“How? And why haven't any of the supes been able to hear him yet?” Cassie asked.
Bart took a pause on his earlier ramblings to make Tim’s life more difficult. “Oh it’s because he’s not breathing. Isn’t that so cool.”
Cassie shot Tim an alarmed look. “He’s a meta.” Tim said off handedly, “Can we focus?”
“Are you aware that your brother might be suffocating to death? In fact, we may need to hide a corpse and I sure as hell would love to hear how you're going to explain that away at family dinner.”
“Oh, don’t worry Danny’s fine.” Bart said flippantly. “Danny, if you can hear us, make the room one degree colder.”
Tim couldn’t feel anything but Kon and Kara did. Kara eyed the room confused about the change but fortunately she didn’t comment on it.
“So cool.” Bart whistled, lapping the room.
“Convinced yet?” Tim asked Cassie.
“He’s an ice meta how- you know what, I don’t want to know. So how are we going to test our warden?”
The lounge room was decorated to look like a regular living room, including hanging “family pictures” on the wall. Everyone on the wall was in costume, for security reasons, but they were actual nice pictures of the team and their mentors. Tim pulled out a batarang from his pocket, and played around with it for a while, talking aloud about random things. It only needed to sound like a real sentence since Kara couldn’t understand what he was saying anyway. Then the batarang “slipped” out of his hand landing right in one of the larger framed pictures. The impact was loud and the glass of the frame shattered and spilled on the floor.
Cassie didn’t have to fake her flinch in surprise at that, turning to Tim alarmed. Tim adding to the performance acted shocked. Kara and Kon obviously hadn’t missed the commotion and their conversation stopped. Kara looked at the destruction of the frame, analyzing Tim and Cassie’s reaction.
“Dude.” Bart turned to him wide-eyed, stopping in his tracks, “We’re so dead.” Kara didn’t speak english, sure, but the dread in Bart’s voice was obvious enough.
“Why did you do that?” Cassie scolded, “That was Red Tornado's favorite.”
Tim held his head in his hands dramatically, then he let realization dawn on his features. Slowly he turned to face Kara. “ I’ll get in really big trouble if Kal-El or anyone finds out. I can hide it, but you won’t tell will you? ” He made himself sound really worried.
“ Won’t it be noticed? The image is large .” Kara asked. She was beginning to share their concern on her face, but that didn’t necessarily mean that she would keep her mouth shut about it.
“ Clean up can. ” Kon said in a reassuring tone. Kara looked at him sideways, clearly confused.
“ They don’t really come in here often so we can pass it off. But you can’t tell. ” Tim told her.
Kara looked like she was having a hard time understanding him as well. An easier time than with Kon for obvious reasons but still not an easy time. Tim couldn’t understand why since he had made sure their Kryptonian was in perfect condition. “ Pass it off? ” She echoed, confused.
Kara must not have understood the phrase.“ Pretend like it didn’t happen .” Tim explained.
She thought about it and nodded. “ An Earth phrase? ”
“ Yes. ”
Kara didn’t answer right away and Tim wasn’t sure if it was because she was still deciphering what he’d said or if she was thinking about telling. “ I will not tell Kal-El or his associates since no one was hurt and it was only a minor incident .” Cassie and Bart had already cleaned up most of the mess why Tim talked to Kara. Tim had made sure to hit the frame so only the glass would be shattered and the actual picture was mostly unharmed except for the small tear in the corner. That would be easy enough to cover up.
Kara's body language was stiff and she was watching everything very carefully. It wasn’t strange since she had been left with a group of strangers in a new environment and she didn’t speak the local language. She seemed around Tim’s age or maybe a little older. Kara was meant to land on Earth with a mission to watch and protect Clark. This implied that she was of a status and position to receive missions. This meant she would work by a set of rules and report to a supervisor. The supervisor was likely Clark who was most likely to take responsibility for her for a variety of reasons.
Cassie gave Tim a raised eyebrow to ask how it was going as she walked away to dispose of the glass shards.
It would be a gamble. A deadly one. But if Tim made it look like Danny being here wasn’t that big of a breach of the rules he could convince her to keep it to herself. He shared a look with Kon.
“ I’m really thankful, Kara. ” Tim says, smiling. He pulls out his phone and texts Cassie and Bart their half of the plan. “ We can show you around the rest of the base. Would you like to do that? ”
“ Okay .”
“ Room fun lounge after work. Play TV on games .” Kon said.
Kara stared at him.
“How about I do the talking?” Tim put a hand on Kon’s shoulder.
“Why? I’m doing so good.” Kon said genuinely. Tim doesn’t respond to that.
The tour lasted minutes and Tim made sure to bide their time well so Cassie, Bart and Danny could be fully settled in before they returned. It would take a while for Danny’s heart rate to return to normal, and it would be better that he was all there before they tried to pull this off.
Tim checked his phone when they were nearing the end of the tour. Cassie had texted him they were good on their end.
“ Let’s go back to meet the others. They don’t speak Kryptonian but we can translate for you so don’t worry. ” Tim said. Kara seemed nice, it was the circumstances that were a bit stressful. But that didn’t mean they should let her feel left out.
“ This is your team ?” Kara asked, following Tim back to the lounge room.
“ Yes we do missions together sometimes. When we’re not working we spend time at the base because we’re friends. ”
“ It is nice to have friends. ” Kara nodded.
“ Did you do missions with your friends on Krypton? ” Tim asked. Maybe he could gauge what her position had been to see how she would react.
“ Only practice. We did not graduate from training yet. ”
“ Going what’s there ?” Kon asked. Tim had no idea what he was saying.
“ What dialect does he speak? ” Kara asked Tim. “ I cannot understand it. ”
“ We learned the same Kryptonian, Kon just doesn’t practice. ” Tim laughed. Kon understood enough that he elbowed him. “ Are there dialects in Kryptonian? ”
“ Many. You and Kal-El speak very… proper. ” She said sheepishly. “ No one speaks that way where I am from. Only in important meetings with outsiders .” Then she paused sadly, “ Mother always said it was important to learn but I did not listen. ” Tim had figured Kara spoke so rigidly because she was nervous or shy. This explained why she was having such a hard time understanding them.
They reached the lounge to Cassie and Danny locked deeply in a game of rock, paper, scissors. Danny had pulled his hood back up and was wearing his cowl from earlier. He had picked one of the older models that covered most of his face until the end of his nose and past his cheekbones. Danny shot scissors at Cassie, beating her paper. Bart cheered loudly, throwing his hands in the air and Cassie groaned in defeat. Danny cackled as he took the last cookie.
“Hey, D. When’d you get here?” Tim asked for the sole purpose of silently telling the others to not call Danny by his real name.
With a mouth full of cookie, “A while ago. Who’s this?” He asked, gesturing his head to Kara.
Tim made wide gestures and spoke clearly in english so Kara could pick up what he was saying. It would be important for her to learn. “This is Kara, she’s Superboy’s cousin.”
“I thought she was his aunt?” Cassie asked.
Danny didn’t look nervous, fortunately, and smiled easily at Kara. Then to Tim’s surprise, “ Nice to meet you. ” he said in perfect kryptonian.
“ He speaks as well. ” Kara commented.
“You can speak Kryptonian, too?” Kon asked.
“Duh.” Bart answered.
“Dead languages are my speciality.” Danny said pointedly. Bart giggled at that.
“ Should we build a hole by playing a game? ” Danny asked, moving on the couch to give everyone else more room.
“ Build a hole? ” Tim laughed, “What?”
Kara looked at Danny surprised, “ You know of that? ” She asked excitedly, her eyes lighting up.
“It’s a phrase, basically like “break the ice’.” Danny answered, then for Bart and Cassie, “Do you guys know any games we can play?”
“ You speak very well .” Kara complimented excitedly, leaving Tim’s side to talk to Danny. “ Did you also learn? ” Meaning is he a native speaker.
“ Kind of? ” He laughed, “ You can speak more comfortably if you’d like. ” He gestures for her to sit.
Kara seems hesitant at first, but then she says something. It sounded Kryptonian but the accent was different to what Tim was used to and he could only make out some of it. To Kara’s delight and Tim’s further surprise Danny not only understood exactly what she’d said but even responded in the same way.
It takes a while for them to settle on a game to play given all the language barriers. Kara spoke in what Tim learned was Standard Kryptonian but would often switch to her local dialect when she didn’t know how to say things. Kon and Tim could only understand Standard, and in all honesty, between them Tim was the only one who could speak it. Bart and Cassie couldn’t speak at all.
They decided to play charades. It was awkward and hard at first, but they all got really into it by the third round. They kept the categories simple since Kara wouldn’t know any movies. Fortunately, she seemed to feel a lot more comfortable and talked a lot more, even if it was mostly just to Danny. There were times she would make an effort to say things in english. It was really broken but they all made sure to appreciate it and tried her best to understand.
“I’m hungry guys.” Cassie said after her turn to act out her word, plopping herself in her spot between Bart and Kon.
“Me too.” Bart agreed mournfully.
“You’re always hungry.”
“Should we order Pizza?” Tim asked, pulling out his phone.
“I want pineapples on mine!” Bart said.
“Ew. No.” Cass kicked him. “I’ll have my usual.” She told Tim.
“Like mushrooms and olives are any better.” Kon snickered.
“It’s better than pineapples.”
Kara looked between them curiously.
“Danny, ask Kara what she wants.” Tim instructed.
After hearing them talk for the last hour Tim had finally been able to pick on some of the words but the grammar of it still eluded him.
“ Everyone, something, something, food. ” Danny said.
Kara looked intrigued, “ What, something, eating, something. ”
“ Something, something, like, something. ” He paused thoughtfully, making a circle in the air presumably to explain what a pizza was. “Something… ” Then, he pulled Tim’s phone to face them and pointed to the picture of a pizza on the website. “ This .”
Kara looked hesitant, “ ...Some…thing? ”
Danny nodded encouragingly, “Something. Something, good.” He said.
Glancing back at the picture, Tim could see on her face that she’d made a decision but she didn’t say anything. “Okay.” She said in english with a nod. “Have.”
“Great!” Finishing it up, “Kon, Bart.” Tim signaled.
“Ugh. Why do we have to get it every time?” Kon complained, throwing a pillow at Tim.
“I’m not going because I was the one that paid for it.”
“I’m not going ‘casue I don’t want to.” Cassie said, kicking her foot onto the coffee table.
“But you were the one who said you wanted food.” Kon complained, already standing up.
“I could go.” Danny offered.
“You're funny. Absolutely not.” Tim shut down.
Kara looked at Danny curious, “ Saying, something, what? ”
“ Something, food, something, go. ”
In english, “...Kitch...en?” She pointed in the direction of it and spoke in Standard Kryptonian, “ Is it not there? ”
“ No. ” Tim shook his head, “ The store cooks it and we just have to give them money and take it from them .” He was careful not to throw in phrases she didn’t know.
Kara looked confused by the concept but accepted it.
“Wait until she finds out about Drive-Thrus.” Danny joked to Tim.
“I’m going to go check on the left-overs.” Cassie said heading to the kitchen.
Tim checked everyone's location on his phone. Danny’s was offline for obvious reasons, fortunately no one had freaked out about it yet. But he couldn’t be too sure. “I’m going to check on our smoke screen in the mission room.” Tim told Danny, “You’ll be okay here with her?”
“What if we get abducted by non-friendly aliens in the five minutes you’ll be gone?” Danny’s tone was serious but his face was mischief.
“I hope you do.” Tim scoffed, walking out.
---
“It’s just one slice, Red.” Danny tried to reach over his shoulder
“No.” Tim blocked his food with his body, “You have your own.”
“I just want to try!”
“No! Eat yours.”
“You let Kara have some!”
“That’s because I like Kara and I don’t like you.”
“But yours looks so much more better than mine.” Danny whined, still reaching.
“Lesson for next time then.”
“C’mon, you’re not even going to finish it.”
Everyone watched them like a sitcom while they got to enjoy their food without meddling siblings. “I will. Just so you can’t have any.” Tim shoved as much of the slice in his mouth as he physically could. He was actually already full.
“You're the worst.” Danny said, shoving Tim.
“And you're worse.” Tim countered, pushing him back.
Tim hadn’t pushed Danny very hard. Danny probably took harder hits during hockey practice. Tim had pushed him just hard enough that it forced Danny to take a step back to balance himself. Which was when he’d stepped on a wrapper Bart had left on the floor. Danny lost his balance and fell. But not before hitting his head hard on the metal fridge door behind him.
Cassie gasped in shock. Kon and Bart rushed over to check on him. Kara watched wide-eyed, not sure what to do.
Tim quickly stepped forward, “Hey, are you-” Next thing he knows there's a whole tube of ranch being squirted on his costume. His freshly washed costume.
Danny watches Tim’s face morph from concern to absolute disgust with a deep satisfaction and cackles like the villain he is.
“You are such an asshole.”
“Takes one to know one.” Danny’s on his feet and Tim chased him with a packet of garlic sauce that came with the pizza.
Apparently feeling left out, Bart decided to dump his glass of juice all over Kon’s head.
“Dude.” Kon shouts, but he’s quick to retaliate.
“Missed me.” Bart teases using the speed force to dodge.
Cassie and Kara, the only civilized people here, sit and eat their pizzas at the island watching them.
“They’re so dumb.” Cassie says to Kara, exasperated.
Kara smiles following the action with her eyes. “ How fun .” She replies and they share a laugh even without understanding each other.

Hey sweetie, I’m feeling like I need a Jason fic where reader doesn’t like to be touched but he makes her feel safe enough that she gets used to him. Would that be something you’d write? I hope you’re having a wonderful day/night 😘😘
Tumblr media
jason wasn't exactly a touchy man himself, he'd set a lot of boundaries as he grew older but he felt different when that came to you. he had the urge to want to hold you constantly but he quickly learned you weren't fond of that. there were too many mental scars that had yet to heal.
the two of you had been sitting side by side on his couch and he slyly tried to put his arm around you. you flinched and moved away quickly, and then came the word vomit.
"i'm sorry! it's really not cause of you- It's hard for me to- i just cant- it's okay if you don't want to hang out again after this, i just- i'm sorry!"
you were panting and trying to explain yourself because this wasn't his fault, this was a boundary you probably should've said earlier but you didn't. you were scared of losing jason too quickly because of your own issues but you were an idiot for thinking he'd leave like that. he was much better than that and he showed you exactly how.
when jason first realized that you weren't yet comfortable with him touching you he tried his best to make your dates and hangouts still romantic. instead of cuddling, he'd put pillows in between the two of you and you'd lay on them almost as if you were on him.
or when you two went out for walks he learned to wear long-sleeved shirts so you could hold onto his sleeve rather than his hand. it did take time to get used to but jason didn't see it as a burden he saw it as another way for him to show his love for you.
he found you the cutest when he'd be kissing you and you didn't know where to put your hands so you'd panic and grab onto his clothes. he knew you wanted to touch him but he wanted you to feel safe enough to make that first move and you eventually did.
"i swear it's not you or anything i just not comfortable being touched yet…i've had things happen to me and i just need time to feel a bit safer"
jason understood how you felt and respected it. he'd wait years if he had to, as long as you were with him, he didn't need much more. though your comfortability came much sooner than he thought.
it started off small like when you began to slyly slip your fingers into his and hold his hand. he won't deny that he actually blushed a little especially when you kissed him on the cheek goodnight. he knew he was probably touch-starved but he didn't realize how much he was missing without your touch.
you even started cuddling him during your movie nights and laying your body on his. and it was then that jason knew you felt comfortable with him. you finally felt safe.
things moved on a bit fast after that, your very gentle make-out sessions with jason became rough and needy. you'd dig your nails into his back while deepening each kiss more. your hands are roaming his back, trying to figure out what feels good, or what feels right but jason doesn't care. that fact that you're touching him is all that matters. that fact that you're comfortable is all that matters.
did jason dream of touching you constantly? absolutely! but would he have waited centuries to do so? only for you.
jason was in love with who you were and being able to touch you had nothing to do with that. this man fell in love with your personality and the love you were willing to give him and that was all he wanted.
"m'sorry for making you wait so long jaybird" you whispered while jason lips were busy kissing and biting your neck. he left a train of hickeys, hoping you wouldn't be too mad once you'd seen them, since you were quite focused on your current conversation "i know i'm a lot of work"
"good thing i'm a hard worker sweetheart," he said, while placing a hand on his hip and gently caressing your waist with his thumb. jason had started doing this, whenever he could tell you were overthinking or maybe overwhelmed. he was good with words but he knew how to soothe you "as long as you comfortable baby, then that's all i need"
you were all jason todd needed, he’d never admit it but he could love you from afar and still be happy because you'd be his and to jason that was all that was he really wanted.
for you to happy and safe with him.

Infatuation chapter 2/2
Jason Todd is Arkham Knight, and he can't help but be near you. -cross-posted on ao3 with both chapters! chapter 1 is on my account- (but I'll probably start posting chapters together since I basically write oneshots)
tags/warnings: nsfw with mask kink, gun kink, stalking but not weirdly?, exhibitionism/semi-public stuff, hair pulling, thigh kink, unsafe sex, rough sex, vaginal sex, p in v
It's been a few days since you've seen the Arkham Knight, and you thank god for that. Ever since then you've been replaying the night you had in the alley with him in your head on loop, hoping to get over it. Though you know you never will- you're still hopelessly in love with the man under the mask, but you've been itching to see him again and he hasn't showed up ever since.
You sigh and stare at the city from the top of a building. The view is beautiful, and the height hides the grim truth of what Gotham is like.
"Maybe it was a coincidence."
The cool air from the wind breezes your skin and you feel a sense of loneliness hit your body. Doubt fresh in your mind, you walk over to the edge railing of the building and look down. You've never been afraid of heights, actually the opposite.
You hear a gravel crunching behind you from the building as you lean across the railing, and turn back. You see a figure illuminated from nearby buildings lights and try to make out who it is. You see that it's the Arkham Knight, coming to see you once again. Leaning back against the railing, you're completely breathless. He has his helmet lifted up, showing his face.
"Hey!" You try and mask the excitement in your voice.
"Hey." His head tilted when he talked, his figure familiar and almost warming to look at. God he looks good, you think.
Gazing at him, you rock your feet back and forth out of nervousness. He just stares at you back, and your skin gets hot. He walks closer to you and grazes your arm as you lean back against the railing.
"I like being up here, its...calming, yknow?" You mention, the feeling of him and you together up here, alone, hides any doubt you had.
"Is it, princess?" You hear his voice get lower. You choke up a little bit but keep your composure.
"Sorry it's been a while, I've been busy." He mentions, his voice sympathetic.
"It's okay, I get that-" You laugh. "-it's nice to see you again." You mention sneakily.
"It is." He says, closer to your face and he presses against your body. Your skin starts to burn, the closeness once again reminding you of the last time you saw eachother.
"How did you know I was here?" You question how he found you.
"I was looking for you." He shrugs, thinking it should be obvious.
You now realize that he's purposely been seeking for you, and that last time wasn't a coincidence after all. You probably should have realized that sooner, but your brain blanked out after he mentioned he's been watching you for a while.
"Are you stalking me?" You joke, and he laughs.
"Maybe."
He pushes against you more and goes in to kiss you, thirsty for your touch. He grips onto the back of your neck and hair and you both messily kiss eachother everywhere. He smiles and brings you around so your leaning above the railing.
"You like being high up huh?" He smirks.
He holds his hips and pushes them against you, his sudden movement making you wince. He holds you against him and a whine catches your throat, you really did miss his touch.
He grips against your ass and removes part of his armor, his cock and hands pushing against you. He pulls down your skirt and your panties, leaving them at your feet. Then he moves his hips and thrusts his cock inside of you, and grips onto your hair while you're hanging off the railing as he fucks you.
His cock moves deep inside of you, pushing you over the edge of the railing. You move back and forth with him. You feel his thighs pressing against you, his noticeably muscular body pushing against your skin, moving you easily. Your body shakes with his movements, still with half of your body off the railing of the roof while you moan into the city.
He changes the pace of his hips and goes even deeper and faster, your breath shaky leaving you panting. He slams against you, hitting deep inside your pussy and against your ass while he keeps your head gripped by your hair.
"Fuck!" You moan loudly, your voice lingering in the air during the quiet night.
"It's okay-" He shushes you
He repeatedly pushes against you, thrusting inside of you until he can't take anymore. He whines and groans, eventually coming inside of you once again, leaving you dripping all over him until he pulls out. You hear eachothers heavy breathing, and you turn around to sit and lean against the railing, recovering.
He gets back into the pants of his suit, leaving you dazed, just sitting down on the cold building while he does. You stand up with your legs shaking and pull up your skirt and panties over his cum dripping down your legs.
He pulls you into another heavy kiss, holding onto your back.
"See you next time, princess." He says in a playful way, mocking you a little.
"Next time." You say to yourself.
You can't wait for it.

Viper (Part 1)
Batfamily x Batsib!Reader
Part 1 (here) Part 2 (coming soon!)
Ages(probably not accurate, just go with it please): Alfred (Immortal), Bruce (45-ish), Barbara (30), Dick (29), Cass (26), Jason (26), Stephanie (21), Tim (20), Reader (18), Damian (16)
Warning(s): cursing, explosions (not detailed), speak of poison and poisoning, (very) minor violence
Part 2 of this headcannon
A/N: Sorry this took so long 😭. So in the preview I posted I said I'd try using third person and they/them pronouns. It hasn't been working out which is why I didn't post this sooner, I'm sooooo sorry :( I've switched it back to using you because I figured it's still inclusive. Hope you guys enjoy this tho! I’m ngl I had a heart attack bc I thought this draft got lost to the void and I was abt to post it.
Your boots pounded ferociously on the concrete as you ran and made a sharp right turn into another alleyway. He wasn't far behind you, it would only be a matter of time before you were caught. You had to lose him, fast. Your heart beat against your ribcage, your breaths came out in pants from your nose. You were sweating, and not just from the physical effort. Despite being a trained assassin, you were nervous. Getting caught would change everything, but you were confident in your abilities. However, that did little to stop the lingering feeling of dread you felt every time he got a little too close. You sped up and turned right again into a narrow alley. The Red Hood, who was chasing you, did not expect this and couldn’t slow down, and passed the alley. Frustrated, he backpedaled and ran down the alley he saw you go into.
He reached the end of the alley and slowed to a stop. The alleyway opened up to an empty street, and there was no sign of you anywhere. All he saw was the odd stains on the alley’s walls, a dumpster, and garbage bags strewn about. He lost you.
“Fuck!” He exclaimed, then kicked the dumpster for good measure.
You jolted in your hiding spot, hopeful he wouldn’t notice the extra weight when he kicked it. Your heart began pounding harder, as if it was trying to escape your body, if he found you, you honestly thought it might. Blood rushed in your ears as you waited with bated breaths. Would he open it? Find you? Compromise everything you’ve worked so hard for? You wouldn’t go down without a fight, but with the Lazarus pit in his blood and not much of it in yours, you doubted you’d be able to take him with strength alone. You’d have to be smart about it, as always. Though you didn’t know how your poisons would affect someone the Lazarus pit had such a strong hold on, you’d stupidly never tried it before. You doubt your mother or grandfather would’ve approved of it, as they would’ve been the ones you tested it on (never Damian, you’d never do that to your precious little sibling), but the knowledge would’ve been helpful at the moment. You desperately hoped that he wouldn’t find you, so you wouldn’t have to find out on him. You didn’t want to kill him after all, he’s a part of Damian’s new family. You couldn't ruin your little sibling's chance at a family, at least one of you could find happiness.
After agonizing moments that seemed like years with your overactive brain, you heard him mutter a few more profanities and his footsteps receded. You held your breath as you waited and observed the sounds you heard. Water dripped from somewhere, most likely a roof, and then rustling. Your heart began to pound harder, assuming he was searching, only for you to hear a quiet ‘meow’ and instantly relax. Once you were sure no one was there, you carefully lifted the dumpster lid and peeked. No one. Perfect. You slinked out of the dumpster and grimaced at the smell. Gross, yes, but it worked. It wasn't by far the worst place you've hidden in, but you'd definitely need to shower as soon as you got back to your hideout. The things you do for this job. You trudged in the direction of your current main base of operations, taking great care to stay out of everyone's sight, especially Oracle's.
That was your first run-in with Red Hood. It took him longer than expected to figure out what was going on. Took him even longer to find you. You didn't mind though, it gave you more time to work with. It wouldn't be long before Red Hood kept failing to catch you and decided to involve the Big Bad Bat, though. With Batman would come Robin, then Red Robin, and then Nightwing. If Robin found out, it would ruin the whole plan.
The plan was simple, really. Take over Gotham's underground unnoticed, gather members and create a gang, find a perfect time to cause a gang war to distract the Batfamily, and then Talia would initiate her plans to take over Gotham while the bats are busy. Well, that's what the agreed plan was. You'd always been a loose cannon. Since Red Hood had been so close to catching you, the "unnoticed" part had been foiled, albeit a bit later than anticipated.
"Hey boss, what brings you in today?" Your loyal henchman, Hopper asked you.
"We've got a job to do. Grab some explosives. We're sending a message."
“These places feel haunted.” Willow, another one of your most trusted henchmen, said as she placed one of the four explosives into place.
“It’s probably the Joker’s victims’ souls, he loves warehouses, like typical villains. Maybe they’re here to warn us, ‘Don’t go into the basement, that’s where we’re buried!’. Or maybe they’ll kill us, who knows.”
“This isn’t a joke, you’re scaring me Tina!”
“You guys done?” You ask impatiently, but reluctantly slightly amused.
“Yup.”
—
"Seven simultaneous explosions have just been spotted around the perimeter of the city."
"Head to the site closest to your current location. If you're paired with someone, split up. Oracle, call in Nightwing and Red Hood if possible. Do not engage with anyone, survey the damage only. "
"Yes sir!" Chirped Spoiler.
—
After two hours, at 3 am, everyone returned to the cave.
“I take everything I said about explosions back, I hate explosives.”
“Welcome to the club, Timmy! I’ve hated explosives ever since-”
A chorus of groans resonated throughout the batcave, “We know, Jason!”
“You’re not special Todd, most of us here have died in one way or another.”
“Yeah but have you-”
As Damian and Jason began bickering and the whole group headed to the lockers, Dick pulled Bruce aside.
“B, I didn’t want to say this in front of the others, but I think something bigger is going on. I found these objects around the warehouse I investigated.”
Batman took the bag Nightwing offered and observed the strange objects. Metal letters. Two A’s, one I, one L, and one T.
“It spells Talia.” He observes.
“She would never do something like that if she was behind it, and she wouldn’t leave a calling card, especially not in that form.”
"I know. Hmm. The damage seemed deliberate. It only destroyed the warehouses on the edge of the city. It caused minimal to no damage to surrounding properties."
"You're saying whoever did this is sending a message, about Talia." Nightwing inquired.
"Precisely."
“But who would do this? And why would they warn us? And what exactly are they warning us about? They must be close to her to have an idea of what she’s planning.”
“We’re going to find out.” He says, then turns to Tim, who had just exited the lockers. "Red Robin, check all security footage at all explosion sites and around them, report back all your findings."
Red Robin nods and heads to the Batcomputer to get to work.
Dun dun dunnnnn! So how'd you like it? It's been a while since I've wrote anything and it's because I hit a MAJOR writing block. Hope you enjoyed! I was fighting with these tags fr

Note
I fear that they would figure me out too quickly. I am so easily manipulated by someone acting pathetic 😔😔
The whole little brother act by Damian would get to me sooner or later and I fear that although Tim is 19, I would feel bad if he came to me after a "nightmare" 😞😞
I just hope that they don't play dirty, because I would be COOKED 😭😭
No you're so valid. I too like to baby pathetic meow meows.
But in my head, reader has to be unempathetic and uncaring because you don't live long in a city like Gotham by being sympathetic.
Caring about people is for those who have the luxury of resources to share. Bleeding hearts get snuffed out. And while reader isn't clinging to life, they aren't going out of their way to get killed.
But unfortunately for folks like you, at least half of the batboys are willing to be pathetic if it means getting the upper hand.
Dick and Tim have no shame. Both of them will cry while clinging to you about just how WORRIED they were about you. And how SAD they are that you HATE them soooo much! Won't you give your dear brothers just a sliver of affection?
Dick will try to monopolize you at times by being physically clingy. The others are just so much more touch adverse, and his love language is physical touch! He's just so sad that he can't properly express how much he loves his siblings! Won't you let him give you the affection he had failed to give for so long? He has so much to make up for! 🥰🥰🥰
Tim is a little more adaptable. Rather than pushing you into the mold he makes, he molds himself to your sympathetic nature. Not only did he have a nightmare, but he just finds it so hard to sleep while he's thinking about all the bad things happening in Gotham...won't you let him sleep in your room? Being around his (now) favorite sibling helps keep his mind at rest! And he's so sleep deprived...don't you want your little brother to get some rest? 🥺🥺🥺
Damian and Jason are much more reluctant to join in. They have more pride than that. And while Jason might be willing if you were mad at him like you were the others...he's already your favorite, he doesn't need to stoop so low. If he does find your attention slipping, he might 'unintentionally' trauma dump about how his death felt, his final thoughts, how the pit makes him feel...inhuman. About how Bruce made him feel abandoned, just like he did to you. What better way to firmly strengthen his position than trauma bonding, right?
Damian takes the longest to come around. Sure, he's the baby. And sure, he kind of played into it by insisting on strengening your familial bond. But he isn't a child! (Damian, you literally are-)
While the others infantilize themselves in a way to get your favor, Damian does it by doing the opposite. Don't look at him as somebody who needs coddling! He's going to look after you, because you're the one who needs him, not the other way around. You live such a better life now that he found you and got the others to bring you home. He'd never admit it, but he's envious of the attention the others get, but isn't willing to throw away his pride to do the same. He does have an advantage by being the youngest. You can't help but naturally baby him a little! And the scowl and scolding he gives every time does nothing to deter you!

Tumblr media
the music is loud, the kind that vibrates through your chest, and the room is dimly lit with hues of neon lights bouncing off the walls. yoongi’s place is packed, a mix of familiar faces and strangers, and the atmosphere is lively, buzzing with conversation and laughter.
you step inside, scanning the crowd. you opted for something simple tonight, a black dress that wasn’t too flashy but still hugged your figure just right. paired with a delicate silver necklace and minimal makeup, you looked effortlessly put together. it wasn’t meant to stand out, but there was an understated elegance to it, pretty in a way that didn’t try too hard.
you told yourself maybe it's a bad ideato come, but here you are, searching for a familiar face to make this feel less awkward.
you came here alone. because why wouldn’t you? it’s not like you have a long list of people to bring along. jason isn’t exactly your friend either, you’re starting to get tired of this whole “act” you’ve been putting on.
it feels childish now.
but was he making it any better?
you don't even wanna think about him right now.
you spot yoongi in the living room, a drink in his hand. he looks different tonight. no plain t-shirts or oversized hoodies. instead, he’s in a sleek jacket, skinny jeans and his hair neatly styled. it catches you off guard for a moment.
you weave through the crowd to get to him, and he greets you with a wide smile.
“you’re here!” he chimes, sounding genuinely pleased.
“hey, yoongi,” you say with a small smile.
“come on, let’s get you a drink,” he says, already turning towards the kitchen. you follow after him, trailing behind as he makes his way through the bustling party.
“oh, i don’t really wanna drink tonight,” you mumble hesitantly.
“don’t worry, we’ve got non alcoholic stuff too,” he says with a grin, glancing back at you before continuing towards the kitchen.
as soon as you step in, you see him.
jungkook.
he’s leaning against the counter, a drink in hand. his black shirt fits him perfectly, the sleeves rolled up just enough to reveal the intricate tattoos on his forearm. his hair is slightly messy, but it only adds to the way he looks tonight— so fucking good.
his eyes flick up, and they meet yours. for a second, the noise of the party seems to fade, leaving just the two of you locked in that brief moment.
he’s the first to look away. slowly, he raises his drink to his lips, taking a long sip as if he hasn’t noticed the way your gaze lingered.
you snap out of it, forcing yourself to turn towards yoongi.
“here you go!” yoongi’s voice cuts through your thoughts, and you turn back to him. he’s holding out a glass, a playful smirk on his face.
“yoongi,” you whisper harshly, leaning closer so only he can hear, “you said he wouldn’t be here!”
“did i?” he says, like he's amused.
“yoongi,” you glare, your tone warning him, but he only shrugs, sipping his drink like he’s enjoying the chaos.
“i don’t recall saying that.” he raises an eyebrow like he's innocent.
“you totally did,” you mutter, crossing your arms.
he grins, leaning against the wall. “well, maybe i thought it’d be good for you two to talk. y’know, settle... whatever this is.”
“there’s nothing to settle,” you snap, though your eyes unconsciously dart towards jungkook. he’s laughing at something a guy next to him is saying.
that fucker. how is he so happy?
“really? because the way you’re looking at him says otherwise,” yoongi teases.
you glare at him, taking the drink from his hand. “you’re the worst.”
“thank you, i try,” he says, unfazed, before taking a sip of his own drink. “just... tthink about it, yeah? you’re not doing yourself any favors by avoiding him.”
“i’m not avoiding him,” you lie, sipping the non-alcoholic drink.
yoongi’s shrugs. “sure, whatever you say.”
you roll your eyes and move past him, heading towards the other side of the room. the last thing you want is to stand here while yoongi reads you like a book.
as you weave through the crowd again, you accidentally bump into someone.
“oh, sorry,” you mumble before looking up and it's—
“jason? w-what?” you stammer, caught off guard. of all the people, you didn’t expect to see him tonight.
“oh hey, ___!! my dearest!” he slurs, swaying slightly.
great. he’s drunk.
“what are you doing here?” you ask.
“i’m friends with yeri, and yeri is friends with jimin, and jimin is friends with yoongi, and sooo i am here!! what about you?” he asks, his words slightly jumbled.
“oh...” you hesitate, mostly because you don’t know any of the people he just mentioned. “that’s great, i’m friends with yoongi, so...” you trail off, forcing a polite smile.
jason makes an exaggerated "o" face, nodding as if everything suddenly clicks into place. “got it. makes total sense,” he says
before you can respond, he claps his hands. “i’ll be getting more drinks! you stay here!” he announces and stumbles off somewhere
you sigh, shaking your head slightly when a voice from behind startles you.
“who the fuck is that?” yoongi asks.
“just a classmate,” you reply, turning to him.
“you invited him?” he asks, clearly surprised.
“what? no! of course not,” you say quickly. “apparently, he knows one of your friends.”
yoongi hums in thought, glancing toward the kitchen where jason disappeared. after a pause, he looks back at you. “well, did you talk to him?”
“jason? yeah, i just did. you saw us—”
“not him, you idiot. jungkook,” yoongi interrupts, his tone matter-of-fact.
you freeze for a second, unsure how to answer.
yoongi waits for your response but you don't give him any. “are you planning on talking to him, or are you both just going to keep this cold war going?”
“it’s not a cold war,” you mutter defensively, taking a sip of your drink to avoid his gaze.
“could’ve fooled me,” yoongi quips, clearly unimpressed.
you frown, gripping your glass tighter. “i don’t want to, okay?”
yoongi’s expression shifts slightly, his frown mirroring yours. “why not?”
you glance over his shoulder, and your heart sinks. there she is again. the woman you've been seeing him with a lot these days. she’s making her way to jungkook, her giggles carrying over the noise of the party as she approaches him with the same bright smile that always makes your chest tighten.
“looks like he has company already,” you mutter, glaring at them both before looking back at yoongi. your irritation is written all over your face.
yoongi follows your gaze, glancing behind him to see what—or rather, who—you’re talking about. when he spots a woman leaning towards jungkook, laughing at something he’s said.
yoongi sighs.
“really?” he mutters, clearly fed up with whatever game the two of you are playing. before he can say more, jason reappears, interrupting the moment.
“i’m back!” jason declares, holding up two drinks triumphantly. he flashes you a bright smile, his enthusiasm nearly contagious.
you force a smile in return, trying to focus on him. jason leans closer, his voice raised to be heard over the noise. “so, what were we talking about?” he asks, his hand brushing lightly against your arm.
but it’s hard to pay attention. because you can feel jungkook’s eyes on you.
he notices everything. the way jason leans closer to you, the way his hand lingers on your arm, and the way you smile, even if it’s forced. his jaw tightens, and his grip on his glass stiffens.
he looks back at the woman in front of him, trying to focus on her words, but his attention keeps drifting to you. he hates how easily you’ve managed to get under his skin, and he hates even more how much it bothers him to see you with someone else.
Tumblr media
“what the fuck are you doing?” yoongi whisper yells as he steps up to jungkook, his tone sharp.
“what are you talking about?” jungkook asks, brows furrowing in confusion.
before yoongi can respond, mia, who’s been hovering nearby, chimes in, “is there a problem?” her tone is overly sweet, though there’s a hint of curiosity behind it.
“i need to talk to my friend here,” yoongi snaps, barely sparing her a glance. mia blinks, clearly taken aback, but eventually steps away with a soft, “okay...”
once she’s out of earshot, yoongi turns back to jungkook, his voice low but firm. “what are you doing, jungkook? you’re supposed to talk to her tonight. and who the hell is this? do you seriously think flirting with some new girl is going to make ___ talk to you?”
jungkook’s jaw tightens, his fingers curling around his glass. he takes a steadying breath before responding. “i don’t know why mia’s here! i didn’t invite her. i just saw her walk in, and now she’s sticking around. and i’m not flirting with her,” he grits out, his eyes darting to where you’re standing with jason.
his gaze darkens, his voice dropping further. “unlike ___, with that guy again. i don’t even know what she sees in him to keep inviting him everywhere.”
yoongi sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose. “she didn’t invite him, genius. from what i heard, he came with someone else. probably a mutual friend.”
jungkook pauses, caught off guard. “oh,” he mumbles, his frustration momentarily replaced with guilt.
yoongi shakes his head. “maybe stop jumping to conclusions and actually talk to her? before this gets even messier.”
jungkook exhales heavily, glancing at you one more time. “easier said than done,” he mutters.
Tumblr media
you're dancing with jason.
his hands rest a little too firmly on your waist, and your own are draped loosely on his shoulders. it feels close—too close—and awkwardly uncomfortable. but he had insisted, practically begged, that you dance instead of standing awkwardly against the wall.
the music shifts to something soft, slower, and less chaotic, and you’re both swaying, though your mind is elsewhere. you try not to think about how unsteady he feels, his movements jerky. he’s clearly had too much to drink, and you're silently praying he doesn’t throw up on you.
“this is turning me on, not gonna lie,” he slurs, giggling in a way that sends alarm bells ringing in your head.
you scrunch your nose in distaste, forcing a polite smile as he twirls you clumsily. during the spin, your eyes accidentally meet jungkook’s across the room. he’s leaning against the wall, his drink in hand, but his gaze is sharp, fiery. his jaw clenches as he watches you, and the way he's looking at you makes you falter for a moment.
you gulp, suddenly feeling like you’re crossing a line. maybe this was too much. maybe yoongi was right. you should talk to him, clear the air before things spiral further out of control.
but just as you decide to step back, ready to distance yourself from this unnecessary drama, you feel jason’s hands slide lower. far too low.
“what the fuck are you doing?” you snap, pushing him away immediately. he stumbles back, blinking at you with confusion.
“what?” he slurs again, smirking lazily. “i thought you wanted this. you want me, right?”
he moves forward, his hands hovering near your waist again, and you take another step back, your heart racing in frustration and unease.
“jason, you’re drunk. stop it,” you warn, your voice firm.
but before he can close the gap again, a blur of motion overtakes the scene. a strong arm swings forward, and suddenly, jason is stumbling backward, clutching his face in shock. the sound of the impact echoes through the room, drawing gasps from everyone nearby.
your eyes widen as you process what just happened.
jungkook is standing in front of you, breathing heavily, his fists clenched tightly.
“stay the fuck away from her,” he growls, his voice low and deep.
jason, still clutching his nose, straightens up, blood dripping slightly as he glares at jungkook. “what the fuck is your problem dude?” he yells, and without a second thought, he manages to stand up and lunge at jungkook.
and jungkook doesn’t hesitate. as jason lunges towards him, his fist connects with jason's jaw before he can even get close. the impact sends jason stumbling back again, crashing into a nearby table. glasses clink and drinks spill as the crowd gasps louder, and a few of them cheering for them to fight.
“jungkook, stop!” you shout, but he’s already advancing towards jason again.
thankfully, before he can land another punch, yoongi and two other guys rush towards him, grabbing jungkook’s arm. “enough, jungkook,” he says sharply, his voice cutting through the chaos.
the two guys follow close behind, quickly positioning themselves between the two men. the silver haired guy crouches by jason, helping him sit up, while the blonde hair guy places a firm hand on jungkook’s chest to hold him back.
“calm the fuck down,” the blonde guy says, his voice low but commanding. jungkook glares at him, his chest heaving, but he doesn’t make a move to push him away.
“this is not the place for this,” yoongi adds, his eyes darting between jungkook and jason. he exhales sharply, clearly frustrated. “jimin, get him out of here before he causes more trouble.”
“on it,” the silver haired guy; jimin mutters, helping jason to his feet. jason groans in protest, but jimin’s grip is firm. “let’s go, dude. you’ve had enough for tonight. taehyung help me,” jimin calls out to the blonde guy.
jason throws one last glare at jungkook before letting jimin and taehyung lead him away.
yoongi turns to you. “you,” he says, nodding towards jungkook, “take care of him. get him to calm down before he does something even dumber.”
you blink, stunned. “me?” you ask, your voice barely above a whisper.
“yes, you,” yoongi says impatiently. “you’re the only one he’ll listen to right now.”
jungkook doesn’t argue, though his jaw tightens at yoongi’s words. you hesitate for a moment, but the tension in the room is palpable, and you know this isn’t the time to question anything.
“fine,” you say softly, stepping forward. “come on,”
jungkook glances at you, his gaze softening just a fraction as he lets out a shaky breath. without a word, he follows you out of the room, away from the crowd and the prying eyes.
Tumblr media
you’re in a bathroom with jungkook. the tension is thick, the air heavy with unspoken words. your eyes fall to his knuckles, noticing the faint smears of blood.
“sit,” you say firmly, crossing your arms.
“where?” he asks, his tone flat, though there’s a flicker of defiance in his gaze.
you sigh, pointing to the empty counter near the sink. “there.”
with a reluctant shrug, he pushes himself up, sitting on the counter as you grab a clean cloth and wet it with warm water.
“show me your hands,” you say, holding out your own.
he doesn’t move, just stares at you, his jaw clenched.
you frown. “don’t be a jerk now, jungkook. just let me see.”
he finally scoffs, his voice filled with bitterness. “oh, i’m the jerk? really?”
you pause, the cloth in your hand dripping slightly. “yes, you are. what else do you call a guy punching someone in the middle of a party?”
his gaze sharpens, frustration flickering across his face. “you’re really gonna act like you likef his hands all over you?”
his words hit you like a slap. “it wasn’t like that,” you mutter, your voice quieter now as you look away.
“yeah?” he counters, leaning forward slightly, his tone cutting. “because it was clear that you didn't like it. i mean, what are you doing? laughing with him, letting him get close... what the hell is that about?”
you glance back at him, meeting his piercing stare. “you don’t get to talk about letting people get close,” you shoot back.
his jaw tenses, and for a moment, it seems like he’s searching for the right words, but nothing comes. instead, he exhales sharply, leaning back slightly on the counter.
you take a shaky breath, “she was practically attached to your side the entire night. was that for my benefit? huh?”
he doesn’t answer immediately, his knuckles curling slightly. “this isn’t about mia,” he says lowly.
“and it’s not about jason,” you fire back.
you're right, it's about us, he wants to say, the words resting heavily on the tip of his tongue. but he doesn't.
the silence that follows is heavy, the only sound the faint dripping of water from the cloth. you take his hand gently, finally cleaning the blood from his knuckles, your movements softer now. your brows furrow when you don’t find any visible bruise or injury beneath it.
“there’s nothing here,” you mumble, more to yourself than to him, as you examine his hand closely.
jungkook notices it too, tilting his head slightly to look at his own hand. “guess it wasn’t my blood,” he mutters.
you glance up at him, your lips pressing into a thin line. “you hit him hard, though,” you say quietly.
his eyes flick to yours, something unreadable passing through them.
“he fucking deserved it,”
silence, again.
“this isn’t getting us anywhere,” you whisper, your voice breaking slightly.
he watches you, “then what do you want, ___? because i’m tired of this. of us pretending we’re fine when we’re clearly not.”
“you think you’re the only one who’s tired of this?” you snap, your brows furrowing as you glare at him.
jungkook’s eyes darken, his jaw tightening. “oh, so now you’re the victim?” he shoots back
“i’m not saying that!” you huff, crossing your arms. “but you act like you’re the only one affected. do you think this is easy for me?”
he scoffs too. “you don’t make it seem like it’s hard. you’ve been parading around with jason like nothing happened!”
“are you serious right now? what about you? you're with miss ‘missing in action’ every time i see you!” you counter, your voice rising slightly.
“that’s not the same, and you know it!” he snaps, leaning closer, his chest heaving.
“why? because you say so?” you fire back, refusing to back down.
“because i don’t want her! i—” he cuts himself off, running a hand through his hair, “fuck, you're so stubborn”
“and you’re fucking impossible!” you protest, your voice trembling with anger.
the air is thick and suffocating. his eyes lock with yours, and for a moment, neither of you move, breathing hard from the argument.
then, suddenly, he leans forward, his hand gripping your jaw as his lips crash against yours. it’s not soft or gentle— it's messy and desperate and maybe a little... angry.
you hesitate for a second, your mind spinning, but then you give in, clutching at his shirt as you kiss him back just as angrily. his hands slide down to your waist, pulling you closer as you stand between his legs.
you pull back first, your chest heaving as you both stare at each other, wide eyed and breathless.
“what the fuck are we doing?” you whisper, your voice trembling.
“i don't know,” he mutters
before you can kiss him back again, the door swings open, and yoongi stands there, staring at you both. his eyes take in the scene; jungkook’s hands on your waist, the way you’re practically in each other’s faces.
you step back quickly, feeling the heat rise to your cheeks. jungkook rubs a hand over his face, clearly annoyed.
“i am not letting you two fuck in my house,” yoongi says flatly
you roll your eyes, crossing your arms. “we weren’t doing anything.”
“yeah, nothing,” jungkook adds, stepping off the counter to stand beside you, though he avoids looking at yoongi.
“good,” yoongi replies, his tone sharp. “because that's not why i sent you here."
you frown, confused. “what?”
yoongi falters slightly, realizing how that sounded. “no, i mean—well—”
“so you both set this up?” you ask. your gaze shifts to jungkook, who shakes his head quickly.
“no, no, i—” he stammers.
“look,” yoongi cuts in, holding up his hands, “i lied about jungkook not coming, but i had nothing to do with the whole jason situation. that wasn’t me. but it's good that you're finally talking, right?”
you let out a frustrated sigh, your hands balling into fists at your sides. “unbelievable,” you mutter, brushing past yoongi to leave the bathroom.
“___, wait—” jungkook starts, but you’re already gone.
yoongi watches you storm off, then turns to jungkook with a pointed look. “well, that went great.”
“not helping,” jungkook mutters and runs after you.
as you walk briskly to the front door, your heels clicking against the floor, you hear jungkook calling your name. the sound of his footsteps grows louder as he catches up to you.
“___, stop, let’s talk. please.” his hand reaches out, grabbing your arm gently but firmly.
you shrug him off, letting out a bitter laugh. “now you want to talk? how convenient.”
“___, stop!” he says again, his tone sharper this time as he steps in front of you, forcing you to face him.
you gasp, startled by his sudden movement, your chest heaving with frustration. “don’t you dare raise your voice at me,” you snap, pointing a finger at him, your anger boiling over.
“oh, but it’s fine when you do?” he fires back, his own frustration bubbling to the surface. his words hit you, and for a brief moment, you falter, your breath catching in your throat.
“don’t you see how fucked up this is?” he continues, his voice low but intense. “we’re just acting like children, throwing tantrums instead of dealing with this like adults!”
your eyes narrow, your heart pounding in your chest. “and is it my fault that you started liking me when we both said this was supposed to be nothing?”
his jaw tightens, and he falls silent, your words sinking in as he stares at you, his expression unreadable.
“you like me,” he says, his voice steady, and your world comes to a halt.
“w-what?” you stammer, your voice barely a whisper. you want to respond, but nothing coherent comes out.
before the silence can stretch further, a high pitched voice rings out.
“jungkook!”
you freeze, and there she is, the last person you want to see right now. mia. of all people, and of all times. her slightly unsteady steps and the way she slurs his name scream that she’s had more than a few drinks.
jungkook sighs as she stumbles toward him, and when she nearly trips, he instinctively catches her. “mia... not now,” he mutters, shooting a quick glance at you.
you fold your arms, your expression hardening. the irritation bubbling in your chest is hard to hide as you watch them
“what do you mean ‘not now’?” mia giggles, clinging onto him like he’s her lifeline. jungkook gently tries to push her off, keeping her at arm’s length.
then her attention shifts to you. “who’s this?” she asks, her eyes narrowing slightly as she wraps herself tighter around his arm, like she’s staking her claim.
oh, this bitch.
you plaster on the fakest smile you can muster, your eyes narrowing just slightly as you look at jungkook. “tell her jungkook. who am i?” you repeat, your tone cutting.
jungkook sighs. “this isn’t what it looks like—”
you let out a humorless scoff. “i’m ___. yoongi’s friend,” you say, each word laced with venom as you glance between the two of them.
mia’s face lights up in relief. “oh, thank god! for a second, i thought you were one of those obsessed girls trying to steal my jungkook,” she giggles, her words slurred.
both you and jungkook frown at her.
“mia, you’re drunk,” he says firmly, trying to steer her away, but she pouts, clinging tighter.
your hands ball into fists at your sides as you try to keep your temper in check.
calm down, ___, this isn’t worth it, you tell yourself, but it’s a losing battle.
“you know what?” you say sharply, spinning on your heels. “i’m leaving. have fun dealing with... whoever this is.” you wave a hand dismissively in their direction.
as you turn to leave, mia’s giggling voice stops you in your tracks. “whoever?? i’m gonna be his girlfriend soon,” she says, her tone smug and dripping with drunken confidence.
you pause, your body stiffening. slowly, you turn back around, and there she stands, looking entirely too pleased with herself.
fuck it.
without thinking, you stride back towards her, the forced calmness in your expression shattering. before she can react, your hand connects with her cheek in a sharp slap. the sound echoes, and she stumbles back in shock, her eyes wide.
“what the f—” mia begins, but you don’t let her finish.
you lunge at her, pushing her down to the floor as your hands grab for her hair. she screeches, her own hands flying up to pull at yours, and suddenly, the two of you are in an all out brawl on the floor, pulling hair and flailing.
and just like before—when jungkook had punched jason—the energy in the room shifts. people edge closer, forming a loose circle around you, their curious and excited murmurs filling the air. some look amused, others shocked, and a few are already pulling out their phones to record or take pictures.
“___!” jungkook’s panicked voice cuts through the chaos, his eyes wide with horror as he watches the scene unfold. he rushes forward, grabbing you around the waist and pulling you off her.
you struggle in his grip, your breaths coming in short, angry pants. “let me go!” you yell, trying to lunge at her again, but jungkook holds you firmly, his voice frantic.
“___, stop it! what the hell are you doing?”
mia scrambles to her feet, her face flushed with a mix of embarrassment and rage. “she’s crazy!” she shouts, pointing at you as she straightens her hair.
“mia, just leave,” jungkook snaps, “now.”
she stares at him for a moment, her mouth opening to argue, but the look in his eyes silences her. with a huff, she stumbles away, muttering and cursing under her breath as she disappears into the crowd.
you’re still fuming, your body tense as you stand in jungkook’s hold. slowly, he loosens his grip, his hands falling to his sides as he stares at you.
“what the fuck was that?” he asks, his voice quieter now but still firm.
“she fucking deserved it,” you snap, crossing your arms and looking away.
jungkook sighs, running a hand through his hair. “you can’t just do that, ___.”
“well, maybe if you’d handled her sooner, i wouldn’t have had to,” you bite back, glaring at him.
his jaw tightens, but he doesn’t say anything, his gaze softening slightly as he watches you. for a moment, the two of you just stand there as you try to catch your breath.
“what the hell is wrong with you two?” yoongi’s voice cuts through the tension like a whip as he appears out of nowhere, his expression a mix of frustration and disbelief.
both you and jungkook turn towards him like kids caught sneaking out past curfew. jungkook sighs and runs a hand through his hair, while you fold your arms across your chest, refusing to meet yoongi’s glare.
“is talking that hard? seriously? this is the second fight you guys have caused tonight!” yoongi exclaims, his arms gesturing wildly as he steps closer.
“i didn’t start any—” you begin defensively, but yoongi’s sharp glare cuts you off mid sentence.
“oh, don’t even try that,” he snaps, pointing a finger at you. “you know what you both did,”
you do.
you falter, your mouth opening and closing as you try to think of something to say, but nothing comes out.
“and you,” yoongi turns to jungkook, his voice heavy with exasperation. “what is wrong with you? couldn’t you stop her? or at least not let this escalate? do you have any idea how ridiculous this looks?”
jungkook frowns, clearly not liking being scolded. “what was i supposed to do?”
“how about not letting her lunge at someone like a wild animal?” yoongi retorts, throwing his hands up in the air.
“i did stop her, didn't i?” jungkook protests.
you glare at jungkook. “don’t act like you’re so innocent. you’re the one who—”
“enough!” yoongi shouts, and both of you immediately shut up. “i don’t care who started what or why. this isn’t kindergarten. you’re both grown adults, so fucking act like it.”
you glance at jungkook, who looks equally chastised, and for a moment, you feel like two teenagers getting scolded by their dad.
yoongi sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose. “i don’t know why i bother with you two. you’re like oil and water- no, scratch that, you’re like fire and gasoline. one spark and boom! chaos.”
“yoongi, it’s not—”
“don’t,” he interrupts you, holding up a hand. “i don’t want to hear it. all i want is for the two of you to grow up, talk it out, and stop punching people. is that too much to ask?”
both of you mumble something that vaguely resembles an apology, but yoongi isn’t having it. “no, no. don’t give me that half assed apology. i want this fixed. now.”
“how are we supposed to—” jungkook starts, but yoongi cuts him off again.
“i don’t care how. just figure it out. but not here. go somewhere else and sort out whatever weird, unresolved… whatever this is between you two.”
he waves his hand between you and jungkook, then sighs deeply. “and for fuck's sake, don’t cause another scene, or so help me, i’ll lock both of you in a room until you figure it out.”
with that, he storms off, muttering under his breath about how he needs a drink and maybe some new friends.
you and jungkook stand there in silence for a moment, awkward and unsure of what to do.
“well,” jungkook finally says, his tone dry, “that was awesome, thanks, ___.”
you sigh, rubbing your temples. “shut the fuck up,”
he rolls his eyes.
“whatever, let’s go before yoongi actually locks us in a room.”

"I think you need a little something to remind you of who you belong to." - JayTim
send a quote and a ship and I'll write a short fic!
god this one is so good. this idea just. sat in my brain goo for days until i had the time to write it. this takes place like. right around Search For A Hero and before Battle for the Cowl, i would say, with dead Bruce and all, but before Red Robin. very fucked up one-sided feelings bc Jason is Jason and i love him. it's like 3.6k words and my partner edited it for me so. enjoy <3
It took Tim longer than it should’ve to notice the change.
With Bruce gone, Gotham was in upheaval.
No matter how much Tim did, there was always more. A new villain to fight, a new gang to take down, a new murder to solve. Gotham knew that the Batman was gone, for good this time.
Which meant they knew someone, something, could kill Batman.
That made Tim the fresh meat to go after. If the Batman could be killed, it shouldn’t be any harder to take down his Robin. Tim knew that every villain would want a piece of him and he had to prove himself. And for a while, he did. Tim was personally targeted by rogues, ready to be the Joker to his Robin.
Then it changed.
No one was pulling their punches, necessarily. But there was a change. Gangs that once had no problem facing Tim down were running in the opposite direction. Rogues gave up too easily, with an amount of fear in their eyes that didn’t quite match Tim’s reputation.
He should’ve noticed it sooner.
Tim knew something was wrong, at least. But he’d been so slow to notice it; now he was scrambling for answers. He’d interrogated half a dozen thugs and none of them gave him anything. Tim used every trick Bruce had taught him and still. He had nothing. It was just confirmation that they were hiding something. He was missing something, and he had nothing to show for it.
It reminded Tim of how the tide receded right before a tsunami- a quiet, deadly calm rolled over Gotham.
Someone was pulling strings. Someone was going right over Tim’s head, probably planning a big attack to sweep Tim undertow to drown in the chaos. And Tim didn’t have a single lead.
Waiting was always the worst part.
And still, the fires in Gotham burned. Whatever was going on kept getting pushed to the back burner so Tim could stop everything from human trafficking rings to street muggings. He knew he was stretched too thin, too exhausted to hold himself up.
It was a matter of time before Tim got pulled into a merciless riptide.
He just didn’t expect it to be in some grimy alley, losing a fight to a second-rate mob that jumped him.
Tim should’ve gone back to the Batcave when his shoulder got dislocated an hour ago by Harley Quinn instead of just setting it and carrying on.
He should’ve called for backup an hour before that, when he had to face all the Gotham Sirens on his own, leading to the chase with Harley in the first place.
And he definitely should’ve stayed home from patrol altogether, with ribs that were still cracked from a run-in with Solomon Grundy less than a week ago.
But Tim didn’t do any of that. Because if he was going to carry on any part of Bruce’s legacy, it was this: fighting until his body gave out under him.
Tim just hoped if this mob killed him, they wouldn’t dump his body somewhere embarrassing.
Though it was starting to look less like if, and more like when. Tim didn’t like to be pessimistic in a fight. There was always something more to do, one final trick to pull out of his arsenal. Just like Bruce taught him.
This time, though. Tim wasn’t so sure about that.
There was blood in his mouth. Blood in his eyes. He could barely stand, let alone hold his bo staff. It took every ounce of worn-out effort to block the endless blows raining down on his battered body, let alone try to punch back.
Tim always figured he’d meet a violent end.
He wasn’t sure where his comm link had skittered off to. It got knocked out of his ear under a particularly vicious blow to the head, cutting Tim off from any hope of backup. He was in this one alone.
Someone kneed Tim in his already brutalized ribs. He doubled over and groaned, falling to the ground.
He needed to get back up.
Tim’s arms were too shaky to support his weight. He just collapsed again. A steel-toed boot was raised above his head, ready to come down. Tim just closed his eyes and covered his head as best he could with his hands. Better broken fingers than a broken skull.
The boot never connected.
Instead, Tim heard gunfire.
He knew some of the men had guns, but this was a different kind of gunfire. The automatic kind, coming from a different direction. All Tim could do was watch with wide eyes as his attackers started to drop like flies tinged with red.
The ones who managed to survive the first volley of bullets were scrambling around, yelling at each other in a foreign language. Russian, maybe? It was hard for Tim to tell with his head swimming from blood loss, eardrums pulsing to the infernal beat.
From the darkness, a figure jumped down, landing in front of Tim, holding an automatic rifle over their shoulder. Tim blinked hard, trying to make out who it was.
“I only gave you miserable fucks one rule,” a cold voice growled. “Who wants to remind me what it was?”
Damnit. Tim knew that voice.
He was beyond screwed.
All the men froze. Stuttered apologies and pleas came out of half of them, messy and incoherent. They all sounded positively terrified, cowering in front of the figure.
“We didn’t know it was-”
“-just wanted to scare him-”
“He came to our territory first-”
“-but we weren’t going to kill him-”
Jason Todd fired a few shots into the sky, silencing all of them. Tim swallowed a mouthful of blood, his own heart reverberating against copper-stained teeth.
“I asked what the rule was,” Jason repeated slowly. He cracked his neck and pulled a knife off his belt, flipping it around for show.
One of the men was brave enough to step forward. “No one’s allowed to touch Robin. Sir.”
Tim’s breath caught in his throat.
What the hell?
Jason nodded slowly. “And last I checked-” he made a show of turning back to look at Tim. Under the helmet, Tim couldn’t begin to guess Jason’s intentions. “-there’s only one kid with a big R on his chest fighting with a bo staff. I was being pretty generous with all of you. Protection from the cops, from other gangs. All for one fucking rule.”
“Why are you protecting him, anyway? Vigilante freaks cause us nothing but problems-”
The man’s yelling was abruptly cut off by the bang of Jason’s gun and his brains splattering across the alleyway. A smear of pink landed on his bo staff; there was no coming back from that one.
“I guess I should’ve had two rules. No touching Robin and no asking questions,” Jason hummed lazily, as if he hadn’t just taken a man’s life. He shrugged. “I’ll add it to the tab.” He reloaded the gun.
Tim grabbed Jason’s ankle. “Don’t…” he coughed up a mouthful of blood, “don’t kill them.” It was pathetic. He could hold his own in a fight against Jason. He had before. But now, Tim couldn’t even stand and was left with barely enough strength to even grab Jason.
Like shooing away an insolent child, Jason pulled his leg free and clicked his tongue at Tim. “I’ll get to you in a second. Wait your turn.”
Then, he let loose. And there was nothing Tim could do but watch in horror.
Jason tore through every single one of the men like paper. their bodies dropped one by one because instead of the gun, Jason jumped in with his knife. For the fun of the fight, Tim guessed. Because it definitely sounded like Jason was enjoying himself, flipping through the crowd and throwing out a vile quip now and then.
In seconds, it was over. A pile of bodies with Jason as the indisputable victor, wiping his bloody knife off on his jacket. He walked over to Tim, perfectly casual.
Maybe he was saving Tim for the finale, to be killed by Jason’s own hand around his neck. That was the only reason Tim could think of for Jason being the reason rogues had pulled back so much over the past few weeks. Jason wanted Tim’s blood for himself, so he could make some kind of statement out of killing Robin. Or something like that, anyway.
“Up we go,” Jason said with a grunt, leaning over to Tim up like a sack of potatoes. Tim was hauled up with Jason’s hands under his armpits, then tossed over Jason’s shoulder, with an arm supporting him around his thighs.
At least the dead bodies couldn’t judge Tim for how utterly embarrassing he must’ve looked.
“Put me down,” Tim tried to say, but the words were so slurred they sounded like one long syllable. His head was spinning. Tim had heard of double vision, but never triple. Was that a bad sign??
“It’s pronounced thank you, actually,” Jason said, walking off with Tim in tow. Each step made all of Tim’s injuries feel far worse and he hissed, uselessly trying to claw at Jason’s back, the material of his gloves squeaking pathetically. “As in, thank you for saving my sorry ass, Red Hood.”
“Fuck you,” Tim sputtered. He was getting blood all over Jason’s jacket and it was the only thing he could see, as his vision got more tunneled by the second. “Where are you…” everything hurt and consciousness was slipping away from Tim.
Jason said something. Tim didn’t hear it. His hands went slack, followed by the rest of Tim’s body.
His last coherent thought was a long string of expletives cursing Jason Todd out.
It took over a liter of blood to stabilize Tim. Stitches on his arm, stomach, and forehead littered his battered body. He was still unconscious on Jason’s coffee table, with a makeshift IV drip giving him fluids, stripped down to his boxers.
Jason was torn between being supremely pissed off at Tim getting jumped and being sickly fascinated by the sight of Tim being bruised and bloody. Perfectly laid out for Jason.
Maybe he should’ve thanked that Russian mob before killing them.
Jason knew it was just a matter of time before that mob caused him issues. They were no real loss to his empire. He was lucky he caught them in the act before it was too late.
One simple rule and some idiots went out of their way to ignore it.
Tim was Jason’s meat and no one else’s. Jason hadn’t been ready to mark his territory yet. This sped up his plan. There were so many steps Jason had to skip to save Tim. He had been waiting for Gotham’s trust in Robin to grow secure and rooted down, putting Tim on top of the world. Then a new Batman would step up, probably Dick. It’d leave Tim aimless and vulnerable, quickly forgotten by his city the moment they had someone in a Batsuit to worship instead.
And that was supposed to be the moment Jason swooped in and claimed Tim. Protecting him from all the big mean supervillains who were salivating for Tim’s blood that Jason had been holding back for so long.
He would be Tim’s fucking savior.
But a no-name Russian mob had to go and screw it up. Leaving Jason sitting on his couch, feet propped up on the same coffee table Tim was sprawled out on. Every now and then Jason nudged Tim with his boot, just to check how out cold he really was.
The latest boot nudge to Tim’s hip actually got him to stir.
Tim groaned, trying to move. His attempt to sit up failed pretty spectacularly. His arm gave out and he slipped, head loudly bonking on the coffee table. With the concussion he definitely had, that had to hurt like hell. Jason smirked, lighting a cigarette. Another pretty groan out of Tim’s mouth before he managed to open his eyes, blinking hard to adjust to his surroundings.
Jason didn’t rush him. He just watched as Tim looked around the safehouse, craning his neck. He ran his hands over his body, feeling the neat bandage work. Finally, his eyes settled on Jason, widening slightly. Jason could see the wheels turning in Tim’s bright mind, remembering what had happened.
Tim opened and closed his mouth a few times, presumably trying to decide where to start. Jason took a long drag and blew the smoke in the direction of Tim’s face, making him cough.
“Why?” Tim finally said. His voice sounded a little raw.
Jason arched an eyebrow, playing innocent. “Why what?”
“You know what,” Tim snapped. He gestured to himself. “Why are you… doing this? Telling everyone I’m off limits and…”
“And saving you?” Jason finished, earning him a lethal glare. About as lethal as a kicked puppy could be, anyway. Jason snorted and shrugged. “Because I can.” No point in sharing a plan that was all fucked up.
“I don’t need your help,” Tim said through gritted teeth. He tried to sit up, slower this time. He still didn’t manage it.
Jason stared at him. “I’m sorry, would you have preferred Nightwing scrap what was left of you off the pavement after those asshats were through with you?”
“I can fight my own battles.”
“And lose them too. Clearly.”
An angry noise came out of Tim’s throat. “Did you just want to save me for yourself, or something?” Tim prodded, fist clenched at his side.
“Probably not in the way you’re thinking,” Jason said. He flicked ashes off of his cigarette onto Tim’s skin, pulling a hiss out of him.
Tim frowned. “What does that mean?”
“Figure it out yourself. Isn’t detective work your whole thing?” Jason made a show of adjusting how he was sitting on the couch as if he was getting comfortable. He moved to prop his feet up on Tim’s leg, one of the few places on his body that wasn’t covered in injuries. Using him like a little footstool.
Oh, that really pissed Tim off. Jason grinned wickedly, watching Tim try and fail to pull himself free. There wasn’t much weight on his leg, but he was still too weak to get his body to cooperate, leaving him to sluggishly struggle.
Tim’s face twisted. “If you think you could convince me to be your sidekick, you’re out of your mind.”
“I was thinking more along the lines of a lap dog, actually,” Jason tilted his head back. “Much more submissive and obedient, that way.” He didn’t hide the obvious innuendo in his voice.
Tim recoiled. “Very funny.”
“I’m dead serious,” Jason shot back. “I don’t kill for just anyone.” Contrary to popular belief, murder was purposeful, with Jason. If he killed a lot of people, it was for a specific reason. It was a careful image of the unstable madman to make people fear him. But in reality, it was all planned. Every single body in the grave was carefully counted.
“You’re psychotic if you think I’d ever… submit to you.” Tim’s mouth twisted just having to say the words, utterly disgusted by them.
Jason scoffed. “I think there’s a misunderstanding here, Drake.” He pulled a butterfly knife out of his pocket, flipping it open. “You already belong to me. Every criminal in Gotham knows you’re mine. You’re alive because I’ve allowed it. You’re protected because I called for it. It’s a done fucking deal.” He took his feet off of Tim’s leg and brought them to the floor so he could lean up close to Tim’s pale face. “Understood?”
Like a perfectly rational person, Tim tried to headbutt Jason.
Jason pulled back, more for Tim’s sake than his own. He caught Tim’s head with his hand, forcing it back down on the table.
“I didn’t ask for your protection,” Tim hissed, breathing hard. “You can go to hell, Jason. I can handle this city just fine on my own.”
“I don’t really care if you can or not.” Jason pressed the knife to Tim’s throat, a dangerous warning against any more stupid attempts to fight Jason. “You can be Robin all you want. You can crawl back home to that disgusting cave and play house with all the other bats. I don’t give a shit how you live your life, Drake. So long as you know you’re mine at the end of the day-” he shrugged- “we can take all this slow. I was planning to anyway.”
“You were planning to…” Tim echoed, turning the words over as it sank in for him. “You were planning… what? To make me fall in love with you or something?”
Jason gave another nonchalant shrug. “If that’s how you want to dumb it down, sure.” The plan was far more sophisticated than that. Jason didn’t just need Tim to love him. He needed Tim to crave Jason, need him down to the marrow, and dedicate himself wholly to Jason. Be by Jason’s side as a strategist and partner.
They would get there eventually. Soon Tim would see and understand things from Jason’s perspective. His approach just needed to be a little more head-on.
More fun for Jason in the long run.
It was hard to read Tim’s expression. Maybe Jason was too hopeful to believe there could be some kind of arousal or intrigue there, but he could at least tell there wasn’t nearly as much anger as he expected.
Nor was there any disgust.
For a split second, anyway. Then Tim seemed to snap back to reality, trying to pull away from Jason and the knife.
“Over my dead body,” Tim said with as much venom as it seemed like he could muster.
“You know, I’ll do you a favor, Drake.” Jason lifted one leg over the table so he could sit on Tim’s midsection, making him yell in pain. Jason was a heavy son of a bitch, and his body weight did no favor for Tim’s sore ribs.
“What the hell are you doing?” Tim tried to shove Jason’s chest. He looked a little panicked, like a caged animal.
“I think,” Jason dragged out the words, just for show, “you need a little something to remind you of who you belong to. So I’ll be nice, to make sure you don’t forget it.”
He grabbed Tim’s jaw and jerked his head to the side. Tim cried out and tried to get away. He hit Jason in the chest as hard as he could. Which given his current state, was about the same as being smacked by a toddler.
“You should probably stay still if you don’t want a knife in your eye,” Jason warned. He lifted the blade and pressed it into Tim’s cheek, going deep enough to scar.
He didn’t even have to think about it. Jason knew exactly what he was doing the moment he pressed the blade to Tim’s skin.
A mark that anyone would recognize.
A mark just like the one Jason had been given, years ago.
The letter J could stand for a lot of things. And right now, it stood for marking Tim as Jason’s territory.
Jason dragged the knife down and curled it upward. Then he went in for the second cut, dragging across Tim’s cheek.
Tim had the sense to stay perfectly still while the blade moved. Pained noises came out of his throat and he was giving Jason a death stare, but he stayed still.
A perfectly obedient lap dog.
Jason hummed in satisfaction when his work was done. He flicked the knife closed and slipped it back into his belt, watching fresh blood pour down Tim’s face.
Now they matched.
For good measure, Jason bent over and pressed a kiss against the cut, holding his lips there and feeling Tim’s breath on his skin.
Jason pulled away, licking the blood off his mouth. His first time tasting Tim. It definitely wouldn’t be the last.
“I’m going to kill you,” Tim bit the words out through grit teeth.
Jason just smiled. “Don’t you have pesky bat morals about that?” He climbed off Tim, flicking more ashes onto Tim’s skin from the cigarette that had stayed between Jason’s fingers the whole time. He lifted it to his lips, breathing in. “Your suit is over there.” Jason gestured vaguely to the heaped pile of Tim’s suit.
“You’re-” Tim sputtered on his words. “You’re just going to let me leave?”
“I told you,” Jason hummed, wandering toward his fridge, “you can go live your life. I don’t care. You’ll crawl back to me when I want you to.”
“Like hell.” A loud grunt came from Tim and Jason looked over his shoulder, watching Tim slowly move. Every inch looked painful for Tim, but slowly, he managed to get his stiff joints to obey him.
All while Jason watched, offering absolutely no help.
Tim got dressed with a lot of swearing and groans of pain, occasionally shooting Jason a dirty look. He put a small bandage on his cheek, then limped away, leaving behind the shreds of his dignity.
Jason just smiled, finishing his cigarette and stubbing it out on the floor with his heel.
Tim would be back. He would make damn sure of it.

Warning: Hurt no comfort :)
"What."
Jason is in a foul, contemptuous mood. Crime Alley always has crime, but the rates have skyrocketed this week. It's not just the low-level thugs either. Plenty of mobs and higher profile criminals have been hustling around. The whole damn section is rampant with trafficking, murders, drugs, and theft at levels far above their usual rate.
Jason is so fucking tired.
He hasn't had much time to eat, let alone sleep. Every minute, he's responding to another call or scream. He wants a fucking break, but he doesn't trust anyone else to look after his people.
The sound of a boot scruffs behind him again. Jason sighs.
His gun scrapes out of its holster causing an echoes in their silence. He allows the weapon to point at the ground as he still refuses to turn around and face the other.
"What the fuck do you want, old man?"
"Jay."
This causes Red Hood to whip around and aim at the craped crusader. Batman, the hardass himself, would never use names in the field. He especially wouldn't call Jason by that term of endearment when all the man ever mutters these days is "Hood."
Jason's arm doesn't shake, but his grip tightens on the metal.
The shadowed figure takes a step forward. The safety on the gun clicks off.
"Jay."
A bullet wizzes past the cowl. The man doesn't even flinch.
"Who the fuck are you? Talk fast before the next bullet goes between your eyes."
The figure nods in understanding and maintains the distance between them. "I wanted to tell you in person. You deserve to be the first to know."
It's not visible with the crimson helmet, but Red Hood's eyes narrow at this statement. His brow furrows and his jaw clenches. "Spit it out. Stop with that cryptic bullshit."
Batman, or whatever it is impersonating him, shifts slightly. He's uncomfortable and displeased but listens to the demand.
"The Joker is dead."
Muscle memory allows for the gun to be holstered before both of his hands claw at his helmet. He throws the item before stalking closer to the shadow on his roof. Red Hood spits fury at the man.
"If you're fucking lying to me-"
"I'm not."
Jason knows Bruce. It's been years since he's had constant contact with the older man, but he knows the tells for when Batman is being dishonest. There isn't a hint of that within the weathered features. As far as he can tell, the man is being truthful.
Yet, Jason can't believe it. That monster has been haunting him for so long. For him to just die? No fanfare, no warning?
It seems impossible.
Bruce's features morph into a sympathetic grimace at Jason's inner turmoil. "You deserved to hear it first. I'm so sorry it took so long."
Jason's knees feel wobbly at those words.
Bruce, the asshole himself with a maytr and hero complex, is apologizing to Jason for Joker's continued existence. He's expressing regret and remorse that nothing had been done before.
This... This can't be real, is it?
Bruce sighs as he slips the cowl off his face. His electric blue eyes peer into the mask of Red Hood's.
"I am so sorry, Jay. You've been hurting for so long, and I never acknowledged how his continued life haunted you so. I should have done something, anything sooner so that you'd feel more at peace."
Bruce raises his hand out as if he is going to hold Jason's face before he thinks better of it. The limb drops down by his side as his shoulders hunch.
"I've hurt you so much. I'm sorry, chum."
Jason's breath hitches once and then twice as he tries to center himself again. He doesn't bother trying to stop the tears pouring down his face.
Red Hood can't focus on the platitudes that Batman is stating. He needs to focus on the situation at hand and breakdown later when he's alone.
"B-" He takes another moment before trying again. "How did he die?"
Bruce, for the first time that night, glances away. His gauntlets creak under the fists he makes.
"He's dead, Jay. It doesn't matter. I'll never let him hurt you again."
Suspicion starts to weasel itself into Jason's brain, but he tries to brush it off. Like Bruce said, it doesn't really matter how he croaked. He's dead. That's all that Jason has ever wanted. Who cares how that came to be?
Still, the way Bruce brushed off his answer is dangerous. Even with all the sweet words being thrown his way, it's been a long time since Jason's followed the older man's machinations.
Red Hood settles his hand upon his gun, but he doesn't draw it quite yet. The threat isn't subtle.
"B. How did Joker die?"
Batman peers at Red Hood for a long moment. Azure eyes dart along the tenseness in the younger's form before Bruce's chest heaves a sigh. There's defeat in his posture, but his smile is kind.
It's the warmest smile Jason's seen from his father since the fifteen year old was buried.
"I killed him."
Jason's eyes scrunch shut. More tears run down his face as he tilts his head to the sky. His face twists in anguish, and he bites clean through his lips. Watery, teal eyes peel open to stare despondently at the smog filled sky.
Three gun shots ring out. Jason continues to search for answers in the sky as his arm lowers back down to his side. He mutters to the heavens he doesn't believe in.
"I should've known. Batman would never bring me peace."
Red Hood lowers his gaze and confirms the rooftop is and has always been empty.

Summary: A tear rolled down his cheek, falling and landing to the floor under him, he didn't cry loudly like most children his age do, it was silent, better that way.
But it wasn't best that way, he shouldn't be crying at all, he was not a child, he was an heir, he could not, even for a second risk falling that far.
Or, Damian's past ia always there no matter how badly anyone wishes it wasn't
Or or, Damian angst in which league standards make sure no one can ever know he's not alright, but they do
Title: Robin's are meant to fly, how did you lose your wings?
Chapter one, also on ao3 under the same name, will be updated regularly
Tap, tap, tap
Click, click, click
Tick, tick, tick
In the living room of the manor, Tim's foot tapped repeatedly against the floor as his leg quickly bounced with anxiety, the only other noises being the ticking of the ever turning clock, and the clicking of Jason unloading and reloading his guns, looking like he was about a second away from punching whatever was closest to him.
So on the couch sat Tim, a long empty cup of coffee in hand, next to him sat Dick, so eerily silent, he had never been this quiet, the oldest's pale blue gaze bore into the smooth wood of the floor, his hands clasped so tightly together his knuckles were white, as he sat deep in thought, and Jason in a plush arm chair across from the two, a couple guns on hand.
'2:00 pm'
The clock had read, two, only an hour and a half until Damian came home from school.
Jason let out an aggressive huff of irritation, slamming his gun down on the table.
"What the hell is up with the demon brat?"
Jason's loud, angry tone rang out to his brother's.
Tim sighed heavily, exhaustion and even concern seeping from his body language, he placed his empty cup down on the coffee table in front of him.
"If we knew that, this wouldn't be happening would it?"
Tim had snipped back.
"Both of you stop it, this isn't getting us anywhere.."
Dick spoke through a sigh, unclasping his hands to run one through his hair.
"Well I don't suppose you have any better ideas, Dickie bird?"
Jason had asked, his tone sarcastic as ever, irritation clear in his voice, something was wrong with Damian, something was really wrong, and they wanted, no needed, to find out what it was.
Dick had paused to think, that seemed to be the only thing he knew to do about this, he needed to think this over, think Dick, think, you want to ask him but he just shuts off, you can't scare the kid...
But then he spoke.
"We can't talk to him about it, we all know he isn't going to say anything if we just come right out and ask, we need to think this through."
Think this through? Is that all you know how to do? What a crappy older brother, can't even figure out what's wrong with Damian.
"Dick's right, plain out asking him isn't working, we need to be more careful about this, or he'll start trying harder to pretend like nothing's wrong."
Tim had agreed, his tone thoughtful.
"Let's go over everything, what have you two noticed about Damian recently?"
Dick offered, they needed to get everything together, if they went without knowing everything Damian would surely tear them down just as fast as they had gotten up.
Jason scoffs, rolling his eyes.
"That he's a damn brat."
"Jason."
Dick gritted the name out scoldingly.
"We have to take this seriously."
Dick spoke with exasperation and worry sinking through his voice, and Jason must have heard it to, given how quickly he caved.
"Kid's been getting hurt more on patrol, it's not like him, letting himself get all scraped up over nothing."
Jason spoke as he gave in, Tim nodded as Jason spoke, before his own voice rang into the air.
"I noticed that too, but that's not where it started, Damian seems distracted, upset even, something's wrong."
Dick didn't necessarily feel any better at his little brother's words, guilt and concern flooded his gut swarming and swallowing him alive. How hadn't he noticed this sooner? Why hadn't he been there to stop it before whatever Damian is upset about happened? Why did he have to be such a bad brother...
But he couldn't focus on those feelings right now, he needed to focus on Damian, he needed to focus on helping him before anything, and compiling this information just might help.
"Has he said anything that could show what he was upset about?"
Dick had wondered worriedly to his younger brothers. Tim shakes his head, looking disappointed, Jason grumbles to himself under his breath.
"As if that stubborn brat would say anything.."
Dick stayed silent after that, no one had any idea what happened? Why was Damian so set to hide it?
Click
The sound of the front door opening was the only thing that pulled them all out of their thoughts, Damian stepping into the hallway of the manor, he wasn't visible yet, but his small footsteps could be heard against the wooden floor of the manor.
"Hey, Dami-"
Dick had called out gently to the boy, who hadn't even seemed to hear him, walking through the hallway past the doorway of the living room, his lips fallen in a small frown as his gaze watched the floor and lower parts of the walls, anywhere but up as he climbed the stairs.
Dick rather quickly fell silent, his words leaving him in that moment, Jason looked even more pissed if that was possible, and Tim looked utterly confused and frustrated, but Dick, just felt something well up in him, concern, worry.
What was happening? It wasn't unusual for Damian to ignore him, or anyone for that matter, but this was weird...
                                ★
Damian walked up the staircase like he had hundreds of times before, but this time felt wrong, so wrong.
Why was it wrong? This is how it was supposed to be, mother wanted you here, Damian, you want you here.
But the thoughts wouldn't leave his mind, of course he wanted to be here, he loved it here-
Loved?
When had that happened? He wasn't supposed to love anything.
He wasn't supposed to be like this, so why was he? Why did he have to be so soft recently? Mother would surely be so disappointed, grandfather would truly kill him...what about father? What would father think?
THUD
Damian's foot slipped from the step as he tumbled down, grabbing onto the railing, pulling his arm painfully as he held himself up with only the railing to help, Damian heard the shuffling in the living room, how could he not?
The way Grayson, or maybe, maybe, even Todd or Drake shot up to come over, but he couldn't face them at the moment, he couldn't let them know how foolish he was being.
Falling down the steps just because he was distracted, he knew better than that, he should know better than that.
He quickly pushed himself to his feet, rushing up to his room, it's not like he was hurt anyway, so it didn't matter.
Why would it matter?
He's fought through worse, he should be able to just walk through this, it was a fall, a stumble, nothing of importance, in the league it wouldn't have mattered, in fact he may have even been punished for it, for being imperfect, why were things so different here?
He didn't know what to do..it was all so different, he had been here long enough to be used to it, and he was, he was used to it but he couldn't be anymore, this was wrong, he was wrong, so, so wrong.
He was a failure, he was weak, he was something he shouldn't be, he was human, and oh, how scary that was...
Sat in front of the door, his bag dropping near him, his knees pulled up to his chest, he buried his face in his knees, his arms wrapped around himself.
Why was he doing this? It was pitiful, disgusting...if mother saw-
Mother wouldn't see, she didn't know, she couldn't know, he couldn't be punished if she never knew he was breaking a rule, it would be like all the other rules he's broken without her supervision.
No one could know about the weakness he was showing right now, it was pathetic, horrid, he was a terrible son, a terrible family member.
He was soiling the name of their family by being so weak, he wasn't supposed to be like this.
This isn't why he was born, he could never be a child, he had to be an heir.
A tear rolled down his cheek, falling and landing to the floor under him, he didn't cry loudly like most children his age do, it was silent, better that way.
But it wasn't best that way, he shouldn't be crying at all, he was not a child, he was an heir, he could not, even for a second risk falling that far.

Eldritch monster anon here! So to answer your question, yep that image you shared is what I have in mind ^^
Slashers with Reader Who's Secretly an Eldritch Horror
Slashers x Reader
Includes: Freddy, Michael, Jason, Thomas, Bubba, Brahms, Norman, Billy, Stu, Vincent, Bo, & Lester
A/N: I'm not super confident I wrote Reader correctly, and I didn't go into too much depth about what they look like or everything they're capable of, so I hope you still like it! You can find the original request here.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Freddy Krueger
He can't help but fantasize of the damage you two can cause when together
He sensed something was a little different about you from the beginning
But he didn't think it would be quite this drastic
What's funny though is that he thinks you don't know that he's found out about you
He's dead wrong
But it's kind of a game to you, and you're having fun with it
He's "secretly" caught you distorting the people and things around you
And he admires that fact since he does the same thing in his Dream World
You were hoping he'd catch on sooner
But oh well
It's just more fun that way
Tumblr media
Michael Myers
He somehow doesn't know already, and you kind of want to keep it that way
Michael has this thing with power
He knows he's unstoppable, chaotic, and deadly
And he likes it that way
If he ever found out about the things you're capable of...
It would not be good
Your partnership would go from providing to battling
He wants- needs to be the monster in the relationship
And although you have the upper hand on him, he would not go down without a fight
He knows there's a darkness brewing in you
He just doesn't know quite what it is
And let's hope it stays that way
Tumblr media
Jason Voorhees
He honestly learns about what you are pretty early on
He didn't really assume anything was off about you, but he was so open and sweet to you that you felt comfortable enough to tell him about everything
And knowing that he's not the most dangerous being around is somewhat... nice
He really admires your power and strength
And it feels good to be able to leave for a while and not worry that something will happen to you
You are more than capable of protecting yourself, and that lifts a huge weight off of Jason's shoulders
Perhaps he's too trusting, but he doesn't worry about you turning that dark power on him
You've only showed him genuine love and care, so he feels like he has nothing to worry about
Tumblr media
Thomas Hewitt
Perhaps he's being a little naive
The way you immediately ate his "dinner" without so much as a question
The sudden increase of people coming by the house and being captured
How you come out of the most dangerous areas unscathed
There is clearly something about you that isn't... normal
But it's not his place to question it
He loves you, and you love him
End of story
Even if he did start to question what's really going on, he wouldn't press the matter
He figures you'll open up to him whenever you're ready
And if that's never, then so be it
Tumblr media
Bubba Sawyer
He's just a sweet, naive man
You could literally show your true colors right in front of his eyes, and he'd still have no clue
But it doesn't really matter
He loves you for you no matter what you look like or what you're capable of
As long as you still care for him like this, you can do whatever you want
He will admit that his family has had a much easier time getting "food" than ever before
And those that do come by are really easy to capture since you've been with him
But those are just coincidences, surely
You're his sweet angel
He has to protect you
Little does he know that you really can handle yourself...
Tumblr media
Brahms Heelshire
He has found it a little odd that the food still arrives on time without so much as a word from Malcolm
And he hasn't seen a single soul since you began to staying with him
But he's very happy with all of this, so he doesn't question it
He can sense that you're a little... different than other people
But that's part of the reason he likes you so much in the first place
He only realizes the true extent to this theory when you somehow force him to bed without so much as a touch
He was completely flabbergasted at this, but he didn't dare question it
Safe to say that he has no intention on giving you a hard time again
Tumblr media
Norman Bates
He doesn't question a thing
If anything, you're his good luck charm since all of these good things started to happen when you showed up
The motel business is booming
Any issues he was dealing with seemed to disappear in plain sight
Everything seems to be going his way for once
Mother keeps telling him there's something off about you, but he ignores her
What does she mean?
You're his sweet and perfect partner
There's nothing else to it
You want to show him the truth at some point, but he just seems so happy right now
Maybe you'll tell him later
Tumblr media
Billy Loomis
Billy straight up demands for you to tell him what's going on
Unlike a lot of people, Billy follows his gut instinct
He's known something was up with since you two started seeing each other
His world was just too... perfect
And he swears that there's this dark aura that surrounds your head at all hours of the day
It's only after his latest kill went too well that he interrogates you
When you tell him, he asks you to prove it
The look on his face when you showed him just what you were was enough to send you into a fit of laughter
To be honest, Billy is a little bit scared of you now
Knowing that you're capable of literally taking him out of existence is intimidating to say the least
Best believe Billy is going to do his best not to get on your bad side
Tumblr media
Stu Macher
Stu is true golden retriever energy
Meaning, he is very sweet and loving towards you, but there's not much else going on inside that brain of his
He doesn't suspect a single thing with you
You are his perfect partner, and that's about it
Sure, his killings with Billy have been going super well, and he always comes out unscathed
Yeah, that person who shushed him in the movie theater was found completely mutilated the next day
What about it?
You wouldn't have anything to do with it
Stu just thinks that you are made out of 100% innocence
And you kind of like it that way
You'll tell him when you're ready
Until then, you just appreciate Stu treating you like a person and not some powerful God
Tumblr media
Vincent Sinclair
Vincent has been finding himself with a new sense of inspiration for his wax art
He dreams of this ethereal yet terrifying being he has never seen before
He's told you about the dreams, and you always respond with a soft smile and a "that's interesting"
Vincent as no clue that you're the creature he's been seeing
And you must say, his art is pretty damn accurate
You didn't have any intentions on telling him the truth, at least not right away
But the way he sees this version of you as his muse makes you want to say something sooner
He's basically idolizing you, and he doesn't even know it
Not that he doesn't act this way with you normally
But how fun it could be to see his reaction once you tell him the truth
Tumblr media
Bo Sinclair
Maybe he suspects something is going on, but he doesn't say anything
Ignorance is bliss
And although he's usually one to demand what he wants to know, he doesn't quite feel comfortable doing that with you
There's something in those eyes of yours that tells him he may be better off not knowing
Plus, things for him and Ambrose have been going suspiciously well for him
He literally had some random man run up to him begging to become one of the wax figures
This is all just odd
And he knows you're hiding something by the way you smile at him
But everything is so perfect that he doesn't want to ruin it
So for now, let him be ignorant
Tumblr media
Lester Sinclair
He's never really been in a relationship as passionate as this one before
So you best believe any single thought or doubt that goes through his head is immediately thrown out
He loves you, and you're so nice to him
There's no way you could be hiding something from him, right?
I mean, it's a little odd how you seem to appear from thin air, and your hair never has a single strand out of place
There was something that feels... not real
But that's just crazy
He probably only feels that way because of how perfect he thinks you are
Until you explicitly stand before him in your true form, he's going to just ignore these thoughts

Enver Gortash Musings 13
Content Warning: illness, mentions of breastfeeding, feeling like a bad mother, and acknowledgment of a few of the horrible things Enver has done like murder.
About five years into your marriage, you give birth to your second child. A beautiful baby boy that you name Jahson because Enver swears up and down he can't think of a name. Despite your probing about male names in his family, he waves all of those questions off. So you list male names until you get to Jahson, which Enver declares is a strong name. So, tired from the birth and utterly done with the conversation, you declare his name to be Jahson.
You're on bedrest for a few weeks, healing from the birth, and you spend that time tending to your newborn son and four year old daughter, Ember. Ember decides that Jahson is ugly, despite Enver repeatedly explaining to her that all babies are pink and wrinkly right after birth.
Despite thinking he's ugly, she's constantly asking you to let her hold Jahson. You can't get over how much love you feel watching one of your babies hold the other, especially when Enver starts talking to Jahson about her day.
It's when Jason is about one month old that you come down with a fever. A rough fever that strikes quickly and leaves you unable to get out of bed despite your best efforts.
Two days in, Enver catches you out of bed and trying to walk to the nursery. "Absolutely not." He says firmly.
He guided you back to bed despite your protests, and ordered the maids to bring you some tea and water. He tucks you in among your pillows and blankets, scolding you. "Honestly, darling, the doctor was quite clear. No walking around. You were so close to the stairs, what if you fainted?"
You began crying in earnest, and Enver stood there, awkwardly looking down at you. "... Darling? Is it the fever?"
"I'm not a good mother." You sob.
Enver sits on the edge of your bed, "You must be under the effect of some illusion spell, my darling. You are a wonderful mother, the children are lucky to have you."
"Good mother's don't sit in bed while their children miss them." You sniffled.
Enver grabs a handkerchief, dabbing your tears away. "That's quite enough of those silly tears, my love. You're ill, you need to stay in bed until you get better. The sooner you get well again, the sooner you can run after Ember and feed Jahson again."
You look up in a panic, "Jahson! What has he been eating?!"
Enver patted your head gently. "I had a temporary wet nurse hired. Don't be glum, this is only until you get better."
You hated the idea of another woman nursing your baby. Nursing had always been an experience you felt strengthened your connection to your children. A bonding experience unlike any other in the early stages of life. To have some stranger doing it was... Well, not enjoyable. Still, Jahson deserved milk, and you were in no state to give it.
"... How are the children? Is Ember still trying to tie-"
Enver smiles, "She hasn't quite figured out tying shoes yet, I'm afraid. She practiced all afternoon yesterday on my boots as I did some work in my office. When I stood up to go to the bathroom, I fell face first on the floor."
You gasped, suddenly worried. "You fell?!"
"just a tumble."
"Your knee-"
"Is fine." He said firmly. Enver disliked talking about his bad knee. And gods forbid you suggested he stay off it for a day or two, or ice it in the evenings. "I landed on my face, not my knee."
Despite yourself, you giggle. The whole conversation and trying to walk has taken so much out of you that you don't even realize how tired you are until you fall back into your pillows.
Enver takes a cold cloth from a bowl on your bedside, dabbing your forehead. "Easy, my darling. I'll send for the doctor again in a day or so if you don't get better. The maids have been giving you your medicine? On time?"
You paused, "Well... This morning they didn't communicate and they gave me a double dose. It was a simple mistake, the butler has scolded them already, trust me."
Enver grumbled, "Had I been there-"
"You'd make them disappear." You said, the illness suddenly making you honest. "By Ilmater's Grace, Enver, they're young women who made a small mistake that made me a bit loopy for a few hours. They didn't try and poison me."
Enver looks at you, feigning innocence. "I've no idea what you mean-"
"I'm not stupid, Enver." You said softly. "I know the servants who occasionally go missing are because of you. I know the stable hand's scars on his back are because of you. I know a lot more than you think."
Enver sighed, taking the cup of tea from the maid when she brings it in. She rushes out, not wanting to be around Enver again. Enver takes the teaspoon, stirring lemon and honey into your tea before he began feeding it to you spoonful by spoonful.
"I don't want you thinking about those things." He said firmly. "Let me worry about them."
"I know you're the one who brought the brain to The Gate years ago." You say, slurping another spoonful of tea down. "At least you helped undo that one."
Enver sets the tea cup down, taking your hand in his. "Darling, wherever are you getting all these ideas?"
You laugh humorlessly. "What, are you going to make me disappear too?"
"Don't you ever suggest such a thing." Enver's voice is firm, a touch of Bane's cold iron to his tone. His dark eyes are cutting, leaving no room for disobedience.
"Sorry." You whisper. "I didn't mean that. Obviously you wouldn't."
"Obviously." He agrees.
He feeds you a few more spoonfuls of tea, before cleaning your face with the cloth again. "I have to go soon. It's time for Ember and Jahson's evening walk. Will you be alright here alone, or shall I send for a servant to sit with you?"
You smiled sleepily at him, "You're taking them on their walks?"
Enver smiles back. "Of course. You're ill. I'm not just going to let my children be raised by the help."

Mending a Family 10/?
Prev | Next
Jason finds out shocking news about his family, and Bruce is an idiot who can't admit he just misses his son.
Jason smiled as he pushed Danny on the swing. Lian was laughing beside them. Jason turned toward Roy and grinned at the man as both children’s peals of laughter echoed around them. (Jason had built a swing set, so Danny had something to play with. Next would be a slide.) Raven was talking to Jazz and rocking Ellie. Raven had seemed to become attached to the kids quickly. It helped that they weren’t fully human like her.
Plus, it must be nice for Jazz to have another girl to speak to.
Jason was so glad that Raven had suggested she cloak Jason and his small family so that she and Roy could come to visit. The Bats were still looking for Jason. According to Roy, Batman and Nightwing were going crazy trying to find leads on Jason.
He didn’t know how to feel about that.
A part of Jason hoped that his old family missed him, but a bigger part of him knew that they were only looking for Jason to keep an eye on him in case Jason went insane again. Jason knew their worries were justified.
It wouldn’t happen, though, not with the family that Jason had built. He couldn’t risk losing Danny and, to the same extent, Jazz and Ellie. He had already gotten attached to the sweet baby girl, and Jazz was nice to talk to.
She almost reminded him of Barbara. Barbara, the only person from his past who talked to him occasionally, was the only one who checked on him and ensured he was fine. She sometimes talked to him during patrols, making those nights less lonely.
Jason was brought back to the present at Danny’s and Lian’s giggling.
“Uncle Jay, Uncle Jay, tell Danny I’m your favorite niece.”
“Nuh-uh, Ellie is his favorite niece.”
“Guys, guys, no fighting. Besides, I love my two nieces equally.”
Roy started fidgeting beside him while Lian looked at him, confused. Raven had a strange look on her face. Before he could ask what happened for them to start acting weird, Lian said, “What about Mar’i? Don’t you love her, too?”
Jason looked at Raven and then Roy.
“Who the hell is Mar’i?”
“Jay,” Roy asked cautiously, “Didn’t you know?”
“Know what?”
Roy sucked in his breath, “Mar’i is Kory’s and Dick’s daughter.”
____
Bruce couldn’t believe what Alfred was saying.
“So, you find out my son is alive, have proof, it takes you a few days to tell me, and then you say I shouldn’t look for him?”
“That’s exactly what I did and am saying, Master Bruce. The boy wants to be left alone; I think we should give him his space and let him come back to us when he feels like it.”
“What if the Pits take over, and he goes on a killing spree? What if he gets in trouble? Injured or, God forbid, what if he gets killed?” Again.
“What if—what if he never comes home?”
“Master Jason has suffered enough. If he felt the need to leave home, we should honor that. Besides, he came home once. He’ll do it again. We have to give him his space, Bruce.”
Bruce stared out the window from his office. A part of him wishes he could’ve reconnected with Jason sooner.
Would he have left if Bruce had extended an olive branch?
No, it was too late to think about ‘what ifs’ now. He had to find his son and bring him home. It’s the only way he can keep the world and Jason safe. Bruce had a better handle in Gotham than anywhere else in the world. He would bring Jason back and ensure his boy was again protected by his cape.
He had to. There was no other choice.
Special thanks to rpglady76 for suggesting that Raven cloak Jason and his family. I was wracking my brain trying to figure out how Roy and Raven would be able to visit Jason and had completely forgotten Raven knows magic. I also want to thank Breesperez139 for suggesting I put in Mar'i so I can have even more angst.

Dp x DC crossover
so you know the danny is a son of one of the batfam au will how about one of the batfam being a kid of danny's. my personal fav for this au is jason because of the whole ‘welp my kid died too, mabey that says something about me’. but imagine the kid is damian. just danny goes to wayne manner going ‘congrats your not the father’ to bruce.
ok so turns out bruce was infertile witch kinda fucked talia over. so she went to a bar one night and met this guy who looked like bruce wayne almost to a te he just hat s slimer build. so she had a one night stand with the man, got pregnant and lied to ra and everyone saying daimean was bruce’s.
-------------------------------------------------------
danny only finds out he has a kid when he sees an interview of the wayne kids and sees damian and just has his ghost sinces going off going ‘BABY MINE, MY BABY, MUST PROTECT MY BABY’ because ghosts are very protective of their children.
so danny goes to gotham immediately and is practically storming wayne manner. *aggressive knocking* alfred opens the door “can i help you sir?” “i want my child” danny says his eyes flaring green. “sir i assure you we don't have your child-” -”alfred whos at the door?” bruce asked. danny glared at the slightly shorter man “you have my son”. “look sir we don't know what your talking about, if your sone wandered onto the property we can help find him-” -”damian” danny interrupted bruce. both the butler and wayans gaze hardened as they looked at danny. “i’m sorry to inform you but damian is my masters blood son” alfred said “as alfred said, damian is my child” bruce added.
“then lets do a paternity test” danny says glaring at the two, how dare they try to get in between him and his child. “if that will appease you, we have a machine inside for just that, please come in” bruce offered and danny stepped in. needless to say the test came back in danny's favor. bruce looked at the results over multiple times before going to hand it to danny “i already know, congrats your not the father” and with that a family meeting was called all bruce's children, minus jason hes legally dead where called home.
--------------------------------------------------
the wayne family where all sat in a meeting room. they all had their eyes on the mysterious man who held himself with an air of pride. “whats this about b?” tim asked looking at his father figure. “well it has come to light that daiman is not my son” bruce says thirdly. the wayne children all went quiet “what the hell, you could have broke the news more gently” the man snapped and hit bruce upside the head.
“father what are you talking about?” damian asked quietly, he feels like ground is about to eat him whole, what is happening? “im sorry damian you had to find out like that. im danny nightingale, im your father” danny says walking over to damians side. “but i was told im the son of bruce wayne, i was raised to be the son of bruce wayne, your lying!” daiman snapped at danny. “i understand this is a lot to process, but i want you to know i want to get to know you, i want to be your father” danny says gently. “if your my father then where have you been, why weren't you with me!?” damian growls his eyes flashing green “i didn't about you, but once i did i came straight here, if i new about you before you would have been with me” danny's eyes mirrored damian’s but glowing far brighter.
“for now ill leave you to talk to your family and give you time to think. i gave bruce my number so call if you want to talk to me sooner, ill be back next week on friday” danny said and just like that he vanished, starling everyone. damian was just sitting there unresponsive for the rest of the night.

Some Damian Wayne headcanon
This is my personal vision, I came to this conclusion since Damian is always running ahead, waking up earlier than Bruce for patrols, running to a pet and stuff . Please respect
Damian is (contrary to popular belief) a child with a lot A LOT of energy (do you really think this boy could survive the league if he is lazy? Wrong! Think again) and in the start this was a pain for Bruce's old bones (he become Robin just because Bruce doesn't know what to do with this boy energy)
Dick was the first to notice this. As Robin, Damian never stopped, training, running, playing with his pets. The realization came one night on patrol, Damian was dangling his feet while eating, noticing this Dick tried to remember when he saw this boy stay-still and the thought led to another
and being friends with a speedster made him know how to handle all of Damian's energy easily. Dick took Damian to the arcade, directing Damian's energy into toys and video games and still come out as the best brother in the world, win-win
Dick never told anyone and let everyone figure it out for themselves (he is a little shit)
Every single one realize it out in some point and in the most weird/terrible/inconvenient/normal way possible (the situation varies a lot depending on the person)
Bruce and Tim are the last one to find out
Bruce, actually refuse to believe it in the start ("my children are fine" parent meme), but after he seeing Damian and Jon's interaction he remembers the strange conversation Babs had with him a few nights ago about Damian, he regrets not listening to her sooner, but doesn't admit he was wrong ("Damian is fine" "fuck you")
Tim is the last of them all to notice, it hits him like a brick that Steph threw at him once. He only noticed it when Damian was 14 and, just like Dick, it was because of something silly and harmless, they were in a boat and Damian was impatient, Tim told Damian to calm down as there was nothing to be nervous about, and Damian just said "I can't"
This made Tim try to think of something to try to calm him down until he realized with quick reasoning that even though Damian was a stoic child, he was not someone who stays still
this leaves Tim with a bittersweet taste in his mouth, how did he miss this? and just from his younger brother!
Determined to deal with this Tim holds an emergency meeting with the others, which leads to more resentment as no one is surprised by the news (Tim even sees Jason and Steph giving Dick money - sometimes Tim hates his brothers)
"Listen, replacement, we all here know that this boy has a lot of energy and needs to spend it on something or he disappears into the world, so take him on some patrol, make him jump around some buildings and then sit down to eat, do this regularly and he and you will be fine" - Jason
"Took him to arcade or dog park is also helps a lot too" - Steph "Just let him use his energy on some activity first and then talk to him while he eats or rests, often you don't even need to do anything on patrol, just talk to him when he sits next to you after"
"Are you telling me I could have been on good terms with Damian all this time? And you all know how and never told me?" - Tim
"Oh Timbo, you're a stalker, we thought you would realize it sooner" - Dick is a smug bastard
Some days Tim hates his brothers
Also Damian has received enough training to learn to control himself, to hold himself in place even when he doesn't want to, but he prefers not to do that only if the reward is extremely good
Some batkid headcanon: Damian || Duke || Cassandra || Stephanie || Tim || Jason || Dick
