I just found out Janice Burgess, creator of the Backyardigans and one of the writers of the Nick seasons of Winx Club, passed away a day after her 72nd birthday from breast cancer. Janice, thank you for creating one of the greatest shows of my childhood and may you rest in peace.

Man this week has been hard on the animation, voice acting and anime community. With these two amazing creators that shaped many childhoods for all I needed to make this honor of the two. Janice Burgess creator of the Backyardigans, and the man that was a major impact of the big 3 with the Dragon Ball series Akira Toriyama......Thank you both for your wonderful creations. I remember watching some episodes of Dragon Ball as a kid and bonding with my oldest nephew with the Backyardigans. It may not of been something that means a lot to me but I know the both of you helped shape my kiddo along with many others that tuned into your shows. May you rest in peace and you'll both always live on within our hearts with the stories created for all to enjoy for all eternity.

So I heard that recently, the creator of The Backyardigans, Janice Burgess, passed away.

I loved that show and it's characters ever since I was little, still do to this day, it was creative and fun, I still love watching my favorite episodes and listening to my favorite songs.

I made a couple of doodles of the characters at least last year, so I'll try to find them (I don't remember where they are ): )

I hope she knew how her show impacted so many of us, even beyond the USA, and I hope she's resting easy.

Just found out today that the creator of The Backyardigans; Janice Burgess, passed away yesterday at only 72.

Rest in peace queen, and thank you so much for making mines and many other’s childhood with such an iconic show.

Janice Burgess passed away at 72 about 3 days ago after 72th birthday due to the Breast Cancer.
