Beta reader needed for my sequel to Immortal, Almost Immortals and Mortals

Here's the first part which has already been beta read and finished.

The sequel has 3 chapters at the moment.

The rating is mature because of implied PTSD and canon swearing.

It's a Good Omens and Doctor Who crossover and the sequel especially the chapter 4th I'm currently writing is huge on spoilers for s13 of newwho. There is a bit roman but it's between Crowley and Aziraphale.

The current chapter is over 2000 K words and might end up a bit more, since I am really bad at describing stuff, especially stuff in the U.K, as I am French Canadian and have never gone to the U.K.

I need also someone to throw ideas at me and stuff and maybe plot holes. And Grammar and spelling also help with the description of St-James' Park in London in England.

Also, note that the chapter I'm currently writing is focused on Jack and The Doctor.

I think that's all I have no idea what to add more, plus I'm really desperate as I want to post it before the 28th of July 2023 (so yeah this year, as this is when GO2 COMES OUT)

I'm definitely going to try writing the mafia AU thing, it just might take some time to get the first chapter done (it'll probably be an introduction to Adam, second chapter will introduce Ryan, and the third will introduce Jack).

“we’re so back, doctor whos so good now.” did nobody watch 13’s era? the king flirted with ryan. there was history episodes, like actual good ones. earth had alive goo in it. there was an alien who collected teeth and stuck them in his face as a trophy. the doctor and the master were straight presenting but queer. the master did a whole dance to rasputin. there’s MI6. they meet mary shelley. the doctor just keeps finding companions. jacks there and he kisses graham. dan lewis is there and i love him. there’s one too many gravestones. the doctor and yaz have a whole episode which feels like a fanfic. i don’t like chibnalls writing of the doctors backstory but like the seasons are good. we’ve been back for a while. just say you don’t like 13 and move on.

One Year Later

A year after the events that brought them all together, the events that returned Ryan to his adult self and brought Catherine back from the beyond, the two groups were reunited.

However, this time, the reason for the gathering was a happy, joyous one. They gathered for the wedding of Vincent and Catherine, an event they wouldn’t have missed for anything.

Micki, Ryan, Jack, Birdie, Johnny and Rashid traveled cross-country in the Mercedes, to New York City. More specifically, they traveled to the Tunnel World, barely known to the people who lived in the city, much less to people who lived as far away as Chicago.

Their visit was one of wonder and exploration, for the world below was truly a magical, special place. Everyone they met was happy, their celebrations filling the tunnels far and wide. The wedding of Vincent and Catherine was an occasion to come together, to rejoice in true love.

Father himself presided over the ceremony, which was witnessed by denizens from not only the Tunnel World, but of friends the two had made above, as well. Friends they knew they could trust with their deepest secrets - of Vincent‘s unique being, of Catherine being alive again, and of the secluded, private world Below.

At the wedding, Catherine was radiant, a beauty in the dress that had belonged to her mother long ago, a dress which had been saved from the fate of the rest of her belongings by Diana Bennett, the woman who had become a friend to Vincent, and now to Catherine as well. Diana couldn’t bear to see such a special, personal item auctioned off when Catherine’s belongings were left unclaimed, so she had kept it safe herself, intending to give it to Jacob once he was old enough. She was more than happy to give it back to it’s proper owner, once she had returned.

Vincent wore a new, velvet tunic that had been made especially for the occasion by some of the weavers below. He had done so much for the people here, and had suffered so much as well, that they felt it the least they could offer to him.

After the wedding there was a grand feast, which was eaten in several different chambers to accommodate the many people who attended. Catherine and Vincent felt safe, wrapped in the love of those who were special to them and to their lives.

Once all the celebrating was done, the couple set off on a journey to some secret place, with Father watching the now toddling Jacob. Many tunnel friends offered him their help in his babysitting duties, and he made no qualms about accepting these kind offers.

Father had become fast friends with Jack and Rashid during their visit below, the three men sharing many stories and secrets, about strange worlds they new, strange places others only dreamt about.

Johnny and Diana had also spent much time together. Though they came from different worlds, they shared a common bond in the fact that they were keepers of the secrets of people very close to them. Yet they each remained a bit on the outside, as well. They understood each other more than anyone had before, and this set a foundation that, thought they dare not say so this soon, felt strong. Micki has once made a comment, when Johnny and Diana were far from earshot, about ‘love at first sight’. Ryan, among others, agreed with her.

Once it was time to head home, Johnny begged off, giving the excuse that he had much more to explore here, not only in the Tunnel World, but in New York City itself. Diana stood next to him as he bid his friends, not good-bye, but so long, for now. He told them to call him, anytime, if they ever needed his help with anything.

Ryan, Micki, Jack and Birdie set off for home, but the trip from New York ended before it began.

Ryan and Micki had spent so much time with Vincent and Catherine, with their wedding celebration and the well-wishes from friends, with the love the two shared so openly and obviously, that they were spurred into taking a leap of their own.

With Jack and Birdie quickly agreeing to go along for the ride, they detoured their trip home, and instead set out for Atlantic City, in New Jersey.

Once there, they spent a day celebrating in their own way, taking in the many sights the coastal city offered them. They also were still enjoying this rare break from their relentless hunt for cursed antiques.

That night, they found a nice chapel, not too cliché (although if Ryan had his way, they would have wed in the sparkling, flashy, Elvis-themed chapel they saw from the highway), just small and simple.

With Jack and Birdie as their witnesses, Ryan and Micki exchanged vows, becoming more than friends, more than family, more than lovers, more than man and wife. They became one. And now, truly, there was nothing that could ever separate them again.

The thing that irritates me most about this whole ship war is the way it's such a reminder of the enduring strength of white male privilege. Lou isn't even a very talented actor, but all he had to do was show up for 2 minutes and half the fandom decided to forget 6 years of Eddie Diaz's characterization and dedication to Buck. Eddie literally gave Buck his child, but people are saying Tommy is the first person to really care about Buck. Like, I can't imagine a man of color or a woman having a similar effect (I don't even have to imagine the latter, as I've seen how all of Buck's female love interests have been treated, especially those with problematic pasts - seriously, if you couldn't forgive Taylor for what she did to Bobby despite Bobby giving the relationship his blessing, why are you calling on the fandom to get over what Tommy did to Chim and Hen? It's the same thing, but, wait, no it's not, because Tommy is white and a dude and, lbr, the suffering of minorities at the hands of racists and their subsequent inevitable forgiveness of those racists despite the lack of any clear apology has been normalized in media to a pretty distressing extent).

And then in order to try and justify their behavior, I see a lot of people trying to claim Ryan and Lou are the same racially (even as their behavior and preferential treatment of Tommy demonstrates that they clearly aren't). As though Ryan, as a white Latino man, has access to the same privileges that Lou does as a white man, which is bonkers. You notice how no one even thought to question whether Lou was ok with playing gay as Tommy, despite his father's friendship with Trump; meanwhile, I can't go a single day without seeing people assume that Ryan is the reason Buddie hasn't happened without knowing jack shit about him. And don't even get me started on how people often prioritize Buck's happiness over Eddie's even while claiming to care about them both, or how often Eddie is written as insanely jealous in fanfic even though, canonically, that's a Buck trait. Ryan isn't white in the minds of fans, even if on a very technical racial level he is, and that's an important wrinkle in the discourse that I see a lot of people trying to flatten.
