regarding the caeru callout post. i- how. i am flabbergastered. how do you people write this shit??? i've been playing three bleeding years and all i have is a skeleton who pretends to be a genius but is in fact a buffoon who has no idea what he's doing, a gay whore of an author who throws elaborate and incredibly illegal parties at his lavish townhouse whenever he's not in exile or prison... and then there's just blackbeard the pirate sitting in the corner. what am i doing wrong pls help

genuine answer: do absolutely deranged roleplaying with your friends and it will all spawn naturally over time (trust me i have like. a decade of experience with this exact phenomenon. all rp inevitably evolves into kingdom hearts and/or homestuck levels of complicated interwoven plot if you give it enough time and blorboing)

equally genuine answer: be absolutely shameless and do whatever you think is coolest. hype yourself up. be your own biggest fan. kill the part of you that cringes. if you make (to use a completely hypothetical example) a semi-immortal homunculus who's made in the image of a man that died years ago and from his perspective has been resurrected against his will you have to Own That Shit. you can't turn around and mock yourself/put yourself down about it. you gotta be earnest and shameless and confident. eventually you'll fool everyone else into thinking you actually are all of those things. i don't know how else to express that besides It Really Just Works

Unless I'm just really bad at searching it there is a surprising lack of guro fanart in the DST fandom, even though the tone of the game makes it perfect for it. I'm not good at drawing wounds and pus and viscera and whatnot unfortunately, everytime I've tried to draw gore it looked more like a child scribbled all over a drawing with a red pencil and called it a day- but I'm still gonna try my best to draw some bc I can't be the only one who craves seeing her faves covered in their own filth 🙏

I don't know if anyone else has said this but

Is it just me or does Lucifer give off "dad from a RoFan/Otome Isekai whose bad communication skills led to irreparable damage in his relationship with his daughter in a first timeline". Honestly Lucifer and Charlie really give me otome isekai/rofan manga/manhwa/manhua father-daughter pair vibes. Like they might not look like it conventionally (mostly in terms of height ig) but they really do feel like they'd fit right in with their love for each other but also non-existent communication skills AND MOST IMPORTANTLY THE MISCOMMUNICATION.

Something something reality can be whatever you want it to be—anyways Otome Isekai AU Charlie & Lucifer. I think it'd be neat to just plonk them in this kind of scenario. Like time-travel do-over on either end, reincarnation (wmmap style so it's the "of soul"), parallel universe shenanigans, gaining consciousness in a shitty novel/game turned real world where you and your dad are both in danger of plot bc ur both final bosses. Hell even the "finding ur kid after your wife left" scenario and then going forward from there scenario.

I'm gonna be real I have no clue how I'd ever post Tiger crawl home, it's so atypical compared to the way I write now. Like new stories I'm so clearheaded about what parts characters serve in the narrative, I know what I want to say, even if it's something more freeform like my stuff with Leopard which is contained and has a purpose in my mind. Tiger Crawl home as a story and not just a headworld exists as years of script like snippets I can't post without feeling like I'm having a public vivisection. Like it's easy to write complex characters when you are Writing them with purpose.

Tiger Crawl home isn't like that, these guys are like an insane pseudo mirror of my life via the way of untreated mega mental illness and schemas and abused kid delusions ages 14 to 22. Like this is the kind of story that I feel like can only exist in some weird 62 hour long visual novel with zero payoff but it alters your life somehow. Saying it has arcs is generous, I will write 8 page half script half summaries about how Damian is avoidant of homes and owns virtually nothing, how they choose concrete basements to rest in because it reminds them of cages, and it's a reason to never become comfortable, and why, and how, and how it changes over time but stays the same and how it effects those around you to come and go like a stray cat, hissing, disappearing and purring and staying in the same breath. Obviously I'm being so self indulgent in combining all my passions in clothing, design, themes and creatures in here, I put plenty in here just because I think it's cool and fun but the writing itself only exists as like agonizingly slow crawls through suicide attempts and relationship dynamics that might not ever get to a truly healthy and clean place. It means the world to me, I don't know how to actually show it raw to anyone though.
