so the tiktok ban was literally just propaganda for the trump administration. like. we all agree with that right. this is just laughably transparent. the ban wasn't even 24 hours. not even a whole day. to quote my infinitely funnier mutual from Discord, "Misha Collins was bisexual longer than TikTok was banned"
#Yeah the pr stunt part is til tok being all 'Trump saved us'#Seeing some posts say Trump was the person who started the ban talk but tbh that hardly matters given the bipartisan support

I was recommended a video that was called something like "are the mario rpgs canon" and I didn't watch it because I'm like. in too deep for that question to mean anything to me. like what would they be canon to? the only sensible answers are "yes, because all mario media is equally canon" or "no, because all mario media is equally canon"

I think a lot of Bayo 3 is summed up by the line "Not in the mood for cheap science fiction." Like it's a funny line for Bayonetta to say but also making her say that does not erase the fact that this is cheap science fiction. We're being subjected to cheap science fiction that knows it's being cheap science fiction, but it's also kind of trying to act like it's above being cheap science fiction.
Bayo 3 is always trying to strike a weird balance here that just doesn't quite work. To my taste anyway. It's often campy in the wrong ways at the wrong times and then tries to take itself too seriously later while having nothing of substance.
It's basically just Bayonetta being thrown into a weird sci-fi plot with 0 context. Everything about Singularity and nearly every line out of his mouth makes him feel like a villain for an entirely different game than one where Bayonetta is the main character, and Bayonetta is forced to play tit for tat with the nonsense ("The Truth is what I make it!" this means nothing "Phenomenal Affirmation isn't so absolute after all" did anyone even say phenomenal affirmation before this what does that mean).
You can say "That's absolute poppycock!" all you want but that doesn't change that this is the plot you decided to go with and it means nothing and I'm not even sure you want it to mean something.

I think she interrogates him at Hawke's house lol. So hard to say. Hightown looks in pretty good shape BTW.
I know da2 really is all about narratives and runaway stories. "My reputation precludes me." No one really knows what happened until Varric spins his tale, and how much of that is true, and how much of that is romanticized? How many pretty lies get tossed in? How many lies that even Varric has convinced himself are true?
In the absence of facts rumor runs wild. Hawke's reputation was already inflated by wild takes from Varric long before he became champion.
Still. It is a little bit funny and odd just HOW tinfoil hat conspiracy theorist Cassandra's understanding of what went down in Kirkwall is. "This was a 7(?) year long plot culminating in the destruction of a single chantry" Cassandra I have a bridge to sell you, better yet I have a mine
...I suppose to be fair there is some qanon shit brewing in Inquisition and veilguard...
Honestly I’m sitting here scratching my head wondering who has controlled the narrative of what happened in Kirkwall post chantry boom before Cassandra got the story from Varric. If I remember right at the end she says “Meredith provoked the circle!” as if it’s a revelation while Varric states it as the reason the circles rebelled. Though I’m partially able to handwave that as artistic flair on Varric’s part…I mean, didn’t you talk to Cullen or anyone else in Kirkwall about this? Did Cullen really pretend it was anything otherwise (unsurprising I guess all things considered).
Did Hawke’s story really spin so far out of control that he’s now considered a villain? (I suppose also unsurprising especially if Hawke romanced Anders and ran away with him haha). It is interesting to think about how the world has reacted to this incident, that no one really knows what happened, there are only wild stories, likely with narratives to support the biases of whoever’s telling it. The power of those runaway stories, as they were enough to spark a war.
I was under the impression Varric had to be found and dragged here a while after the fact, but I suppose it may be sooner after it happened than I thought. (I don’t recall whether Cassandra and Varric are in Kirkwall or not, though I know he’s brought to Haven shortly before Corypheus does his thang.)
Idk it’s just. Funny.
Though how the hell does any of this work if Hawke was made Viscount…(fake ending)(I have never even tried looking into how a pro-templar ending works).

I just think Harbinger should've assumed direct control of Kai Leng I think that could've been cool and added some drama and maybe even drum up some ethos for Kai Leng, but I get that after this we talk to Illusive Man and the Prothean VI so Harbinger might have been a lot. I miss Harbinger though.
