Trying out some new ClipStudio pens and techniques I found online, so here's a little doodle redraw of my favourite cursed wizard and his dragon boyfriend

So this is going to sound Crazy, but part of why i've been so inactive lately has been because I was lucky enough to have been selected alongside 6 of my friends in Animation to get shipped out to Winton, Australia to spend a 2 weeks making an animated short for their Vision Splendid film festival.

Together, we got to work with locals, film students, Student composers, festival hosts and first nations elders to create a collection of Animated Haikus celebrating this wonderful town, but get to know ourselves and this country in a way we never even would have considered before.

And as if that wasn't enough to make us jump up and down, flapping out hands in joy... guys... We won the Kolperi Award! A first for animation in the entire 11 year history of the festival!

So thank you thank you thank you for everyone who made it possible for me and my friends to experience Winton. It's something i'll be treasuring for the rest of my days.

Some concept art for an assignment and current pet project: Spirit of the Red, story pitch under the cut:

"After a mysterious explosion that wiped out the city of Nirashi, the race is on to find the secret behind ‘The Red’, the unimaginably destructive force that was somehow able to break one of the most foundational rules of spiritualism, and destroy life energy itself.

10 years later, one of the survivors, Sen, discovers he holds the secret to unlocking the mystery, and fearing its misuse, is now on a mission to destroy it within himself. Hopefully, before anyone else finds out it could happen again if he isn’t careful, and maybe take the world out with him."

Yay! I finally get to post this!

This is a thing I did for a friend of mine @lavendertoonz, for a secret santa OC drawing exchange between us and a bunch of our friends. Their OC is Isabelle, I don't know much about her but she is very pretty, her creator is an amazing human being and I had a lot of fun making this.

Words cannot express how much fun it was seeing what everyone came up with and the joy radiating from our receivers, very much hope to do this again next year and would absolutely reccomend doing it with your art friends if you can.

Draw this awhile ago and figured it was about time to post, Especially since I’ve not been present enough to really provide much of an explanation to all of this.

This here is Sen, one of many survivors of a major devastating incident that took place in his home city of Nirashi when he was about 6 years old, and it results in some truly nasty after effects on Sen and the world as a whole… by the time the story gets started, Sen is 15, homeless and doing his best to keep the fact that he could potentially blow at any moment and take the world out with him as close to his chest as possible. Until that is, he meets a swordsman who might just be able to help him.

Wanted to get Ookawa Keito up here, because if you're basing your world off primarily eastern/Japanese mythology, you can't just leave out the Kitsune.
