We don’t see Insane Nightwing enough for my tastes like:

This mf listens to NO ONE if he doesn’t want to and everyone just goes “omg what a great leader always with a better plan.”

Argues with fucking BATMAN of all people and is not a stranger to winning said arguments.

Has been kicking villain ass since 8 years old and can figure out what your great-great-great aunt twice removed was doing on April 16, 1721 and will use it as blackmail for your entire bloodline.

Probably still uses Facebook.

Would 100% wear Velcro Lightning McQueen light-up sketchers and outrun you in them only to do a quadruple backflip at the finish line as his victory dance.

He knows the exact behavior patterns and personalities of his entire team/family/coworkers and can plan their movements/reactions to near perfection in almost any circumstance. Has used this to prank them.

Learned how to cook out of spite to prove to Bruce he could live on his own (after one of the aforementioned fights. Also, after proving he could live on his own, was not immediately alerted to his little brother’s passing because Bruce has a Complex).

“Tim! Tie your shoes when you walk down the stairs you could trip and get hurt!” “You literally just got shot please worry about yourself for once??”

Has trained under Batman’s pacifistic “no killing” policy and then also fucking Deathstroke the Assassin and Mercenary. Neither one was particularly kind to his psyche

Killed the joker but imo was very justified and not insane at all. But also just sort of just… let blockbuster get killed that one time. Has also killed others

The whole vampire series??? I still haven’t read that one yet but everything I’ve heard about it has been against my will

Has had beef with multiple children (special shoutout to Jason Todd)

Somehow made peace with his family after Bruce allowed all of his other children to don the name Robin, which was given to Dick by his Very Dead mother (and of which the meaning how now been diluted and the connection to his parents severed)

Quiet nights

It was a quiet night.

You were sleeping in the bedroom while Dick lounged on the sofa. His head lay on his arm as he listened to your steady breathing and soft snores.

It was soothing to him. He imagined it was the vampire equivalent of a human listening to their lover’s heartbeat.

As he lay listening, your breath hitched. And then he heard you shift around. And then you whispered his name.

He was in your room a second later. And then he was climbing into bed.

Even sleepy and disoriented, you were quick to move closer. You tangled your legs with his and tucked your face into his neck.

It had been years, and yet, he couldn’t fight his training. Your harmless teeth so close to his jugular and your chapped lips against the skin of his throat had him shivering.

Before he could process his overreaction, you were speaking.

“Nightmare” you mumbled against his throat.

“Was it bad?”

“Did spook me”

He relaxed.

Dick had seen you with nightmares that had you screaming in your sleep or others where you’d wake up inconsolable.

The fact that you were doing neither had him relaxing.

He let out a breathy chuckle.

“I’ll protect you. Go back to sleep” he whispered into the quiet night.

He held you closer as you huddled in closer. Any more, and you’d be inside his rib cage.

He held you as he felt your body relax into sleep.

And then you were breathing deep.

It had him marvelling over things.

You were a human. Not insignificant, but not powerful in ways that threatened him either and yet, and yet, you made him shiver.

It was ridiculous.

It was lovely.

He loved being in love. It was magical.

I keep thinking about this post and this came out...

"You were quite hard to catch, I have to admit," Nightwing said, stepping into the window-less room. A line of blood blossoms circled the room, their fresh scent heady in the air. He grinned down at his opponent, the only moral that genuinely threatened his rule over Earth. "If you didn't try to save those humans, you would've gotten away. Instead, you fell into my trap, Phantom. Or would you prefer I call you Danny?"

Danny Phantom glared up at him, shackled to a chair and unable to move. His jumpsuit was pushed up extremities and ripped off his chest to expose as much skin to the air. Needles and tubes stuck out of his veins, all leading back to the dialysis machine that sucked out his inhuman living-giving blood and replacing it with the blood of a vampire.

Dick's blood, to be precise.

Danny sneered, his teeth glinting in the light, already fanged. He was practically made to be a vampire. "You want to fuck me so bad it makes you look stupid," he spat.

The Vampire King only smiled. "Well, if you had made it easier to turn you, I wouldn't have had to tie you down."

"Aw, and deprive you of your favorite kink? I don't think so-Gah!"

A sickening crack filled the air as Dick broke the other man's leg. Dick didn't care, as the wound would heal upon Danny's turning. He stroked Danny's jugular with a single pointed nail. "Such a smart mouth," he crooned. "I'm looking forward to seeing what else this mouth can do."

He was ecstatic; finally, the irritating mortal who could turn a vampire into a human with his blood would be under his thumb. And the world would finally be his.

vampire!dick would be the toughest vampire for you to crack as a vampire hunter and catch because he acts so human and unlike a vampire. Unlike other vampires who are usually cold to the touch and cruel in their personality he’s charming with a shiny toothy smile.

he’s so charming that you never question why you only ever see him in your hometown bar only at night. His charm is why you never question the dark red liquid in his wine glass and write it off as just some expensive top quality wine.

but god, you should have questioned him because then you wouldn’t have been in a situation where he has you bounded with rope with your legs touching and arms tied behind your back sat across from at his dining table while he sips at some cold blood in his glass.

he takes in pleasure in how he defeats you and gets your defense down when he smiles with his sharp whitened fangs showing while he drinks at a glass of fresh cold glass of blood.
