So the lovely @andwegogreen advised me that I accidently led my besties astray with a post i didn't realise was trolling lmao and I may have reblogged it thinking it was fax n all that. Not me spreading non maxiel misinformaton besties, im sorry. To make up for it, here's a lil bit of something that I don't remember writing. there was also a part 2 somehow
"Untie me. Now." Daniel growled through gritted teeth, tugging at the rope uselessly. His arms ached from being held behind his back so long.
"Not until you calm down." Max looked at him with wild wide eyes, he bit his bottom lip nervously.
“What the fuck Max?!” Daniel said almost hysterically before he took a deep breath and tried to calm himself. Max watched him warily from the middle of the room, he walked over to the window and looked out through the curtains.
“Where did you get that?” Daniel just had to keep him talking, Max didn’t know what he was doing– what he was inviting. He eyed the silver pistol in Max’s hand, it looked out of place.
Max jumped as if he was surprised out of his thoughts. He looked at the gun in his hands before putting it gingerly on a table. He ran his sweaty hand down the fabric of his jeans and started pacing.
“Some guy at the bar gave it to me. He had blonde hair. He said–” Max looked at Daniel with fear in his eyes again. “He said you came to get me.”
Daniel groaned, knowing exactly who had gotten to Max before he could tell him. Before he could make sure he was safe.
“You– you know who he is… so he– he wasn’t lying?” Max whispered and Daniel pretended to not hear the devastation in his voice.
“Max–” Daniel tugged at the rope again futilely, who knew Max knew how to tie knots?
“Who are you really? Is your name even Daniel?” Max sneered. His face took on a harsh quality that Daniel hadn’t seen since the day they met.
“My name is Daniel. Look– I was sent to get you.” He ignored the betrayed look on Max’s red face. “By your mother. Sophie sent me.”
“You don’t need to lie anymore Daniel.” Max sneered, grabbing up the gun and swinging it around threateningly.
Daniel shifted his hips, “fuck– just look in my wallet. I keep the fuckin–” he listed his body to the side to show the obvious wallet bulge in his back pocket. Max walked over wearily and tried to pull the worn leather out.
“Why are your pockets so tight?” Max grunted.
“Well soreee, I thought I was coming here to get laid! Not like fuckin roofied then tied to a pipe!” Daniel muttered.
Max blushed but continued to wrestle the wallet from Daniel’s shorts. He stepped away when he finally retrieved it. Looking away from Daniel, he opened the small accessory. Daniel’s drivers license was Italian, his familiar albeit younger face smiled up at Max. He looked in the money slot and saw nothing except the cash Daniel carried on his person, then he looked in the pocket beneath the ID slot. He glanced over at Daniel when he unearthed a folded piece of paper, it was small and thick– a photograph.
The picture was one that Max knew well. It was one of his. One that should be resting in a small, gilded frame in his mother’s office.

More bartylus hc
-They are both fucking pretentious in their own ways (12 Owls Barty??? He would be on his knees for Lady Macbeth) (only cuz he thinks of Regulus when he reads her lines)
-Regulus is lokie more a Hermia variant from Midsummer Night's Dream and Barty reminds me of a more unstable Helena variant tbh
-People think that Regulus is the one who reads more but it's actually Barty. He reads the Song of Achilles and doesn't stop crying for DAYS, Regulus refuses to touch that book.
-He also was the first outta the both of them to read Jane Eyre and most of his annotations were about Reg
-Barty's first copy of Frankenstein belonged to Regulus so it was already annotated. He spent more time reading the annotations than the actual text. So Regulus had to get him a clean copy.
-Regulus likes to wear tinted chapstick because the look of being really pale with red lips makes him think he looks good. So this leads to his drinks being stained with red lips. Barty loves it, a simple act that makes his heart flutter.
-Barty drinks his coffee straight black while Regulus' coffee is just more sugar than anything
-Regulus has a variety of teas that he switches from daily, Barty just drinks black with cream and sugar.
-Regulus subconsciously taps his fingernails against a table or wherever, and normally it unnerves people (cuz he's a Black so they think he wants something from them) but Barty likes to zone out to the sound since he likes the steady rhythm Regulus taps on.
-Trans Regulus Black with expensive hair accessories that he doesn't use anymore and Barty Crouch Jr who has too much hair and not enough patience (and def not the style to pull off expensive hair clips)
-ULTRAVIOLENCE IS REGULUS' FAVORITE ALBUM I SAID WHAT I SAID HE IS BLASTING MONEY POWER GLORY ON REPEAT AND SCREAMING OUT THE LYRICS OF I FUCKED MY WAY UP TO THE TOP, BARTY LOVES IT WHEN HE GETS TO SING THE ENDING OF BROOKLYN BABY WITH HIM AND HE SO IN LOVE WHEN REGULUS SINGS THE BEGINING OF COLA
-Anyways Barty would like Måneskin, like cmonnn, him playing VALENTINE and thinking of Regulus?? Screaming his heart out to ZITTI E BUONI??? BABY SAID for the angst?? OWN MY MIND???? And him being Italian ig
-The Pantheon is hiding a snake in their dorms which likes to wrap itself around Regulus' neck, and Barty just stares
-Regulus comes back in 6th year with his hair cut and Barty chokes on his bitter ass coffee and coughs so violently a first year slytherin asked if he needed to see Madam Pomfrey
-Barty is pretty good with romance and sad movies, Reg is not, he actively balling his eyes out to fucking Disney movies. But Barty will not shut up during mysteries, he will immediately go on insane rants about the ending. And Regulus can’t hide his expressions when watching horror while Barty is watching with his brows permanently pressed together

“Hey,” He says, stepping next to you in the Sackler wing as you eye the Temple of Dendur.
It’s a rare moment to yourself in an otherwise packed event. You sigh and take a sip from your champagne, thinking that maybe if you stay silent long enough you can simply will this moment away.
He looks good, but it’s not hard for a man to do at the Met Gala— show up in a tailored suit with an appropriate accessory and call it a day. His hair is longer, starting to curl at the nape of his neck in a way that makes you want to run your fingers through it.
“Hi,” You allow, keeping your gaze forward on the blocks of stone.
And there’s a million things you could say to him right now, but the most pressing and the one you will absolutely not bring yourself to ask is this: why did you let me go?
You’d rather not have to deal with tears after all the hard work Lisa an her team did on your face. Instead, you keep your eyes forward and take a steadying breath.
“You look good.”
You hum, as if in thought; not accepting the compliment but not out right denying it either. Because yeah, you know you look good— great, even after the past few months without him. And it’s not as drastic as changing your hair and dropping weight, but you’re healthy; you’re good.
The dull accompaniment of people meandering around the wing has fallen to a hush. Sure strides sound out against the pristine floors as a familiar hand falls to the small of your back. Part of you wants to lean into it, into him, all broad chest and the familiar scent of bergamot and spice.
Steve stiffens and takes another sip from his drink, ice clinking in the crystal glass.
The hand winds its way around your hip to settle against your stomach, warm and inviting. The scrape of his stubble against your hairline as he dips down to whisper in your ear sends a shiver through you.
“Ready to go?”
His lips, pink and full, graze the shell of your ear as you nod and turn in his grasp. He drops a kiss to your forehead and holds your glass as you crumple the fabric of your train in your grasp.
“Oh,” You say, taking a step toward the mezzanine. “This is my friend, Steve Harrington.”
He stops at your side, offering you an arm for balance that you gladly take, and goes to shake his hand.
“Nice to meet you man,” He says, pumping Steve’s hand in a firm shake. “I’m Sebastian.”
“I, uh,” Steve eloquently replies, eyes flitting between you and your escort. “Yeah, nice to meet you too.”
Greetings aside, Sebastian smiles at you and tosses over his shoulder, “See you in there!” His free hand wrapped around your waist as the pair of you navigate yourselves to the table for dinner.
A refreshed drink awaits you, thankfully, as you settle the skirt and train around your chair. Polite greetings and acknowledgements are made at the table as the first course arrives, but you can’t bring yourself to eat.
His hand is warm through the layers of tulle, organza, and silk against your thigh, a subtle squeeze every so often that says I’m here, I’ve got you.
Blue eyes, like storm at sea, meet yours as he takes a sip from his drink. And it must be clear from the expression on your face that something isn’t quite right. His fingers twine with yours and rest against his thigh, his thumb rubbing in circles on your hand.
There’s several courses to go, plus the schmoozing present at every industry event. You have a phone hand-off to do with the Loewe girls, and then there’s the after parties. Thank god you’re not performing this year— small miracles.
Picking up your fork, you make an effort to push some food across your plate as Alessandro speaks in rapid fire Italian to your right. You responses are polite and infrequent, you hear him mutter something like, “Cara mia,” before someone approaches your table.
“Sorry to interrupt,” He says, as your blood runs cold. “But could I just borrow her for a minute?”
Alessandro looks at you, dramatic eyebrow raise and everything, while Sebastian sits, seemingly unaffected.
“Well,” Your date replies, “I suppose that’s up to her.”
As if this night could get any worse.
Polishing off your drink, you quickly stand— the sooner you get this dealt with, the better. You give Alessandro an eye roll as you turn to go, pausing to kiss Seb on the lips.
“Be back in five,” You say, thumb grazing against his jawline. “Get me another drink?”
He nods, assured, and drops your hand only when forced, the distance growing between you.
Steve leads you back towards the Rockefeller wing, not stopping his stride until you’re in the Greco-Roman corner, stood in front of the marble statue of Aphrodite.
Your feet ache, your heels this evening weren’t exactly chosen with comfort in mind, and suck in breaths like nobody’s business— the bodice of your gown suddenly feeling tight.
“What do you want Steve?”
He runs a hand through his hair, frustrated, and stares at the statue before him. Like he can’t even look you in the eye.
And then, he laughs.
“Are you shitting me?”
His tone is cutting, incredulous, and cruel.
You cross your arms and don’t dignify his question with a response. As if he has any right to ask that of you.
“I mean, he’s not— You’re not—” He keeps cutting himself off, fearing the words may be true if he comes out and just says it.
“Together?”
Steve drops his hand from his hair and turns. Fuck. That was not a good idea.
You look amazing, you always do, and you’re definitely going to end up on a Best Dressed list of some kind for the evening. He’s heard enough rumblings to know you’re wearing something archival and looking damn good doing it.
You don’t take a step closer, nor do you look at him.
And, okay, he can admits that stings a little.
“That’s none of your business.”
Your voice is soft, but echoes in the cavernous wing nonetheless.
“Yeah,” He sighs, “I guess not.”
He just can’t wrap his head around it– you’re, well you, a Grammy-award winning artists who tours the globe and headlines things like Coachella. How can you be with someone like that? I mean, does this guy even know what Coachella is?
“What?” Your voice breaks the uncomfortable silence, “Your face is doing that thing Steve; what could you possibly want to say to me about my presumed relationship?”
“He’s just so…” Steve trails off, there really is no eloquent way to say this. “Old.”
Your scoff is loud and the expression on your face is— well, one he hasn’t exactly seen before. And he can’t say he likes being on the receiving end of it.
“Wow,” You say, stepping back and hitching your skirt in hand. “Sorry I’m not out there fucking every twenty-something that moves, Harrington.”
And yeah, he deserves that.
“But then again,” You toss over your shoulder as you turn to leave, “Babysitting was always more your forte.”
The red bottoms of your heels click as you walk away, back to the party and your date.
Steve feels like an idiot.
The plan was to play it cool and friendly, ask how you’d been and hopefully lead up to some sort of conversation. Instead, he got jealous. Saw the way someone who is not him wrapped his arm around you and how you sank back into him, comfortable, safe.
Saw the way he looked at you, bemused and adoring, the way he anticipated your movements and held your drink. And then, at dinner, how you smiled fondly at something he’d said or done, hands intertwined on his thigh.
And it was as if Steve’s chest was caving in. He couldn’t stop himself from walking over there under some false pretense, for just another moment of your time. How unaffected this man was, not even threatened by his current lover’s former lover, how he deferred to you and your decision.
Part of Steve wondered what that must be like, to be so secure in yourself and your relationship. Was that something that came with age, experience, or both? It did nothing to assuage the anger in his gut, even as you followed him out of the mezzanine and to the far corner of the main floor of the Met.
He wanted to say so many things, to ask if this man even knew where or what your favorite piece was in here. It was all he could think about during the red carpet and press line earlier this evening, how the two of you had somehow managed to go incognito one day last summer, before everything fell to shit.
How you’d spent hours at the Met, walking from one exhibit to the next. Talking about artists and color in hushed tones. You had never been much for religion, but you treated museums with more reverence than most penitents in a cathedral. How casually you’d asked his opinion on things he knew nothing about, reassured him that art wasn’t about critiquing schools or technique, but rather how it made you feel.
You’d drug him to the European paintings on that day, fingers slotted against his, tugging him along. Spoke softly about Buoninsegna’s Madonna and Child and it stuck him how small it was in comparison to the larger works, like Degas and Rembrandt. There were scorch marks from candles along the bottom of the frame, and you’d said it was because this was a piece in someone’s home– a personal altar.
People would pass it each and every day going about their lives, lighting candles in commemoration of the Virgin Mother and her Christ child. He remembers how you looked, awestruck underneath your ballcap, as if you were seeing it for the first time.
“Art should be for the people,” You’d said then, “The public. Things like this,” You’d gestured around the room, “Aren’t meant to be bought at Sotheby’s and displayed in millionaires homes alongside a Chagall or Kandinsky.”
And he’d agreed with you, he still does now.
So when he finds himself in front of the very same painting, Steve’s not all that surprised. As he studies the child’s hand, how how to seems to brush aside his mother’s veil, he wonders:
Does he know your favorite piece? How you like to loudly discuss that the artifacts from Greece, Egypt, Africa, and Asia should be returned to their ancestral homes, that it’s nothing more than theft that fills the coffers of museums? Does he, wrongly, assume that you prefer the ballerinas of Degas or a girl with a pearl earring?
Does he know you as well as Steve does did?
He knows he won’t get answers, and that he’s torturing himself by even thinking of them, of you. Steve sighs and leaves the empty exhibit room, wondering what he’d do if this feeling was to ever abate.
Afterall, how can he be homesick for a home that he has no right to call his own?

I love the idea of Napoleon and Illya having a daughter
- Gaby takes their daughter out on “girls days”
- They teach her how to defend her and Napoleon has taught her how to lockpick just in case despite Illya being against her being taught lock picking
- Their daughter is very social and extroverted like Napoleon. It’s like that clip where the baby is saying hi to random people in the grocery store with Illya just trying to get shopping done with as little interaction as possible
- they all three have bouts of insomnia so just picture all three of them in the kitchen at 2 in the morning while Napoleon is making them hot chocolate, this still happens even when their kid is a teen
- Maybe when she’s old enough, Illya gives her the watch that was his fathers
I would love to here other ideas you have
This movie is what’s been giving me serotonin and I even designed the teen version of the daughter character 😭😭
GIRL DADS NAPOLLYA 😭😭😭😭💕💕💕💕💕💕
I have briefly explored the thoughts of the Trio having a kid, and you've hit SO MANY POINTS that I talk about in those fics. The only difference is that it's Illya and Gaby's biological child, Solo pampers the hell out of her while she's pregnant (think "Meals She Eats" times a hundred) and they raise their freakishly intelligent, slightly eerie, unendingly kind child together in a cottage in Northern England 🥺 Solo teaches her to cook and pick locks, Gaby teaches her how to fix cars and dance like no one is watching, Illya teaches her chess and Sambo, they all teach her how to love and be loved because they had to learn that themselves 😭
Also three in the morning hot-coco parties started when little Kuryakin (they all take his last name because he's been haunted by it for so long, it's finally time for him to have something he loves attached to it) tried for hours to go to sleep and just couldn't and wandered into the kitchen to find her parents already awake and chatting quietly around the kitchen table. Gaby laughs a little sadly because of course she got their insomnia, Illya takes her into his arms and just holds her, and Solo tells grand stories that make her laugh while making hot chocolate from scratch. As the years pass, those nights become more frequent, and it's just an unspoken thing now. Little Kuryakin is awake at awful hours? Hot coco time.
They have a cat that absolutely adores her, and the cat's favorite parent is obviously Illya.
Little Kuryakin is fluent in Russian, German, and English, and conversational in Spanish, Italian, and Japanese.
She calls Waverly Grandpa. He secretly loves it.
She's got Gaby's hair and Illya's eyes and Solo's snark.
Her prom night is.......interesting. She's got two dads caught in an argument about what unnecessarily expensive clothes and accessories she deserves, then Gaby quietly steals her away and when they come back, she's picked out a jumpsuit and pumps and big earrings and Illya cries.
They all cry at her wedding. Her partner is perpetually terrified of their in-laws.
Akdhskskhdjdlsjdgdjs I love this, thank you so much for giving me an excuse to go off about a hypothetical Kuryakin-Teller-Solo child 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕

JAW Fashion Trivia vol. I - Saint Laurent
Jeremy's starring in the video which is a part of promo/campaign for the new book in the SL Editions series "ZOË, PHOTOGRAPHED BY PURIENNE". As noted in the oficial summary, the book includes photographs of Jeremy too.
Tumblr media
The book is expensive, as "coffee table books" usually are, because they're meant to be a valuable, collectible piece for the fans of the brand, the photographer, or the celebrity (they are thick, heavy, and printed on beautiful paper). On the other hand, it's an affordable piece, let's say like a perfume, when you can't really buy a Saint Laurent leather jacket or boots, you go for a "souvenir." As we know, all designer merch has been incredibly popular in the past years, and books are part of this phenomenon too.
Saint Laurent or YSL or what? Know that Yves Saint Laurent has lost the "Yves" with the arrival of the new creative director - Hedi Slimane - who is famous for altering something small but essential about the brand he's currently working for. And he said - Saint Laurent it is. Previously, he had crossed out the "é" from CÉLINE, and it has remained CELINE even after his departure. YSL is used for Yves Saint Laurent luxury cosmetics at the moment - YSL Beauty, and it's owned by L'Oreal. Cosmetics, as well as some other, cheaper accessories, are usually licensed by the big brands to make even more profit. A good example is sunglasses and optical glasses (CELINE, Prada, Miu Miu, Dolce & Gabbana, etc.) licenses are held by Italian Essilor.
Can we expect more Jeremy in Saint Laurent? We know that Jeremy owns THAT Saint Laurent leather jacket and who knows what else. He wore custom suits to a couple of award shows. His appearance in the campaign means that he doesn't have an exclusive contract with Calvin Klein, which usually happens with big brands, or that it lasted only for a certain period. So we might see Jeremy in another campaign! Due to his height, the clothes will have to be altered to fit him. It's also tough to shoot a campaign with other models because you can see how short he is (not sure how well they faked it in the GQ cover story...) compared to them. French brands, in general, don't like using celebrities who don't have model sample sizes for campaigns. But the more famous the celebrity is, the more they're willing to budge, I suppose!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(note: I have absolutely no problem with Jeremy's height, these are just simple facts from the industry)

Hello prince! I don’t really have a request, more just asking for your opinion. How do you think Leone was raised? Something about him just screams devoted catholic childhood. What are his relationship with his parents? How was the environment growing up? Everything you say about him feels right. What do you think? :3
Wellll.
I view him as either non-religious or the religion wasn't a branch of christianity. He was either raised muslim, or nothing at all, and became/stayed non-religious when he grew up.
I don't think that man knows what sunday wine is. Or wine in general. Or that most men, especially italian men, wear gold fairly often. When he moves out, it's like he knew nothing of the rest of the world, and went a little crazy with the newfound interest in self expression. You know, after his incident.
His parents were strict. No long hair, no makeup, no gold accessories- which he didn't mind too much, because Leone felt no need for self expression through his appearance. He never really had much interest in those kinds of things, but after his incident... he needed to cope, and retail therapy is always right there when mommy and daddy aren't.
They helped him out financially after he lost his job, but they cut the funds when they found out he was blowing them on makeup and expensive conditioner instead of, you know, dinner. He just can't face them, so he pretends they don't exist and the phone number that keeps calling is some asshole that got rejected and was given the wrong number.
Leone's parents didn't understand his mental health problems and ended up making them worse. No, you can't banish the devil within him, he's just Like That. Sure, ma, you can try, but he's still going to freak the fuck out when he feels like you're leaving or like someone more (impossible, he was an only child) and ends up throwing something fragile down a flight of stairs.
It's just an end table. They'll get over it. They can afford ten of those.
That's the most important part, Leone grew up rich. Whatever issue Leone was having, it could be fixed by throwing him expensive things. Nooo, don't break down sobbing because baba's tone was off when he told you to have a good day, loooook new car! New car keys, beep beep! Seee, no need to be sad.
His parents couldn't keep up with his mood swings, or his inability to cope with them, so they just didn't. Not their problem, it's the maid's, they'll get him something expensive to cope.
He grew up privileged yet neglected, so he feels like he both has every right in the world to complain and none at all. It's not like he has anyone to complain to- you're going to tell Guido that ohhh you feel bad because you chose not to eat sometimes? Don't be a dick, dude, mocking the guy with a gun in his pants is crazy.

Where Do We Go Now?
A She-ra: Princess of Power 2018 fanfiction
The war is finally over. Prime is dead, the hive mind is broken, and everyone is reunited with their loved ones. However, there are some questions left unanswered. What will be the fate of Catra and Hordak? What are these new memories Wrong Hordak has? What is Etheria's place in the wider universe? Where do we go now?
___________________
Hey everyone. Here is chapter 26, I hope you enjoy it.
Also, chapter 27 will be posted on both Tumblr and AO3 on Wednesday because I'll be going on vacation at the end of next week.
___________________
Chapter 26: Purchases
“So it is a game about an Italian plumber saving a princess from a giant fire-breathing turtle?” JD flipped the plastic case in his hand. The brothers had somehow found themselves in an electronic games store. Plastic cases lined the shelves. Video game memorabilia hung from the walls and filled the tables. Cardboard figures littered the floor. Consoles sat in glass cabinets behind the counter.
“Yeah, it looks really fun!” TD held a heavy box, scanning the words boasting about the console within.
“I thought we were supposed to be looking at clothes?” LD leaned on a wall near the entrance, indifferent to the colorful items in the store.
“How about you go shopping by yourself if you’re so bored.” ZD perused the cases lining the shelves. LD shot him a dirty look.
“No, we are staying together. I do not want to spend the better half of the day running around the Six Systems of Dryl rounding you five up. LD, once we have made our purchases here we will resume our pursuit of new articles of clothing. Then depending on how much time is left in the day we can look at some of the other shops.”
“Fine.” He rolled his eyes, folding his arms up against his chest.
To LD’s relief, the five brothers made their purchases. They made their way to a street lined with different clothing shops catering to every aesthetic in the book. Despite Hordak’s instructions, the brothers all split up and ran to the different stores.
TD and JJ went to a store will a large crowd of people with the line of thought if a lot of people like it, it must be good. It had bright lights and white walls decorated with images of models wearing the store’s clothes. In there they got sets of graphic shirts and sweaters with various colorful images and quotes. Then they acquired different cuts and styles of pants and shorts made out of denim and TD got a denim jacket to match.
ZD took the opposite route, going into a store with dim lighting and black walls with few people within. Many of the clothes were tighter fitting, so it took him a minute to sift through the selection. In the end, he came out with various sets of sweaters and sweatpants, graphic shirts, a pair of pants with a chain attached to the belt loops, and various studded accessories.
JD found a store that sold a fair amount of clothes, despite its branding as an athletics store. There he gained various athletic shirts and shorts. He then took his time to admire the athletic equipment the store had to offer and even climbed the rock wall.
Hordak and LD both opted for a store that sold more dressy clothes. LD made a beeline for the racks of colorful patterned button-ups. Hordak on the other hand when for the solid-colored button-ups in his usual blues and black with pops of red. LD, try as he may, failed at coercing Hordak into buying something more colorful. After acquiring some dresser sweaters the two sifted through the pants. LD bought multiple colors while Hordak got just plain black. Then Hordak made a quick stop to pick up half a dozen bottles of black eye paint while LD selected various shimmery pigments and colorful paints.
After a while, the six all met back up. Unfortunately, the hour had grown late so they all returned to Dryl after making one quick stop. Despite the varying styles they had picked out they could all agree on one thing: they were thankful they could find their size.
______________________________
Entrapta sat at a desk in her lab, finalizing the last of the paperwork involved with the new immigrants. Like her partner, she hated paperwork, but she knew it was necessary. She was so transfixed on getting it done that she only noticed someone was in her presence until something rough brushed the back of her neck. She looked up to see a pair of glowing green eyes framed with black paint softly gazing at her.
“Hello, Starlight.” Hordak purred, standing to her side, holding something behind his back.
“Hi, Hordak. I like your new outfit, and your eyeliner is back!” Before joining his beloved, Hordak had changed into a white button-up with black dress pants and black leather boots with small heels. Black eyeliner framed his eyes in the same pattern used during the Scorponi rebellion, and small metallic black earrings pierced his ears. He put the top layers of his curly hair in braids of different lengths and widths before tying them all together, leaving the bottom layers to cascade down his back. “Though I doubt it would be good for working in a lab.”
“Thank you, Princess. However, these clothes are for different activities.”
“Such as?” She raised her eyebrows.
“Taking you out for the evening.” Hordak got on one knee and pulled out a bouquet of pink roses, purple heliotropes, and baby breaths.
Entrapta’s eyes lit up, and a wide smile stretched across her face. She flung her arms around Hordak’s neck, kissing the left side of his face.
“You’re too sweet,” she mumbled into his skin.
“So is that a yes?” Hordak turned her body towards him.
“Of course, it is, silly. Where are we going? Wait don’t tell me! I’ll be right back I need to change!” She flung herself toward the nearest vent. “Meet me in the courtyard!”
_______________________
Hordak stood in the middle of the courtyard which had come back to life with people moving back from the war. Hordak fiddled with the bouquet in his hands, patiently waiting for his beloved.
He turned around at the sound of the Crypto Castle doors creaking open. There Entrapta stood wearing a long-sleeved white blouse tucked in a pair of plum high-waisted pants. White leather gloves enveloped her hands, shielding her from irritating textures. Her hair was gathered into a large ponytail and her choppy bangs framed her face. Hordak’s eyes were glued to her as she walked towards him. While she always looked radiant in his eyes, under the cool glow of the moonset she looked like an angel descended from on high. She was beautiful, and he would look at her forever if time allowed.
“Hi, Hordak.”
“Hello, Angel.” Entrapta blushed as Hordak handed her the bouquet. “Shall we be off?”
“Are we walking?”
“I am, but you are not.”
“What do you me-” Entrapta yelped when Hordak suddenly picked her up, her face turned bright pink causing Hordak to chuckle. He carried her out of the courtyard leaving behind a crowd of people whispering to one another.

Elevate Your Spaces with Italian Handcrafted Nautical Table Accessories
Tumblr media
Whether you're enjoying a serene evening by the poolside, hosting a backyard gathering, or setting sail on your boat, the right accessories can transform your experience. Italian handcrafted nautical table accessories combine functionality, durability, and timeless elegance, making them ideal for any setting where sophistication and shatter-proof quality are paramount. Let's explore the allure of these exquisite pieces and how they can enhance various environments.
The Charm of Italian Craftsmanship
A Tradition of Excellence
Italy is renowned for its rich history of artisanal craftsmanship. Italian artisans have honed their skills over centuries, creating everything from intricate jewelry to fine tableware. This tradition of excellence is evident in nautical table accessories, where meticulous attention to detail and superior materials come together to produce items of unmatched quality.
Materials that Matter
The choice of materials is crucial in creating accessories that are not only beautiful but also durable. Italian crafters often use high-quality, shatter-proof materials like melamine, acrylic, and stainless steel. These materials are resistant to breakage, making them perfect for environments where accidents can happen. Moreover, their robust nature ensures that these pieces remain in pristine condition for years.
Versatility in Design and Function
For the Nautical Enthusiast
Nautical-themed table accessories are more than just decor; they evoke a sense of adventure and a love for the sea. Designs often incorporate maritime symbols such as anchors, ropes, and shells, bringing a touch of the ocean to your table. These elements not only enhance the aesthetic appeal but also create a cohesive theme, whether you are dining on a yacht or by the lake.
Sophistication Meets Practicality
While the primary appeal of these accessories lies in their visual charm, they are also designed for practicality. Shatter-proof materials ensure that these items can withstand the rigors of outdoor use, from the rocking motion of a boat to the hustle and bustle of a backyard party. Their lightweight nature makes them easy to handle and transport, adding to their convenience.
Perfect for Various Settings
On the Boat
When you're out at sea, the last thing you want to worry about is broken glass or fragile tableware. Italian nautical accessories are perfect for this environment. Their sturdy construction means they can endure the constant movement and occasional bumps that come with life on a boat. Items like melamine plates, acrylic glasses, and stainless steel cutlery are not only durable but also easy to clean, ensuring that you can enjoy your time on the water without any hassle.
Poolside Elegance
Hosting a poolside gathering requires tableware that is both chic and practical. Italian handcrafted nautical accessories provide the perfect balance. The waterproof nature of materials like acrylic and stainless steel means you don't have to worry about water damage. Moreover, the sophisticated designs add a touch of class to your poolside parties, making every occasion special.
Backyard Bliss
Whether it's a casual barbecue or a formal garden party, the right table accessories can make all the difference. Italian nautical pieces, with their blend of style and sturdiness, are ideal for outdoor settings. Their resistance to weather elements ensures they remain beautiful even after repeated use. Additionally, the nautical theme can bring a fresh, breezy vibe to your backyard, making it feel like a coastal retreat.
Highlighting Key Accessories
Melamine Plates and Bowls
Melamine is a popular choice for nautical tableware due to its lightweight yet durable nature. Italian melamine plates and bowls come in various designs, often featuring nautical motifs like starfish or waves. They are perfect for serving anything from appetizers to main courses, and their robust construction ensures they won’t shatter if accidentally dropped.
Acrylic Glassware
Acrylic glassware offers the clarity and elegance of glass without the fragility. Italian acrylic glasses are available in numerous styles, including tumblers, wine glasses, and champagne flutes. They are ideal for any setting where you want to avoid breakages, and their sophisticated designs add a touch of luxury to your table.
Stainless Steel Cutlery
Stainless steel cutlery is a staple in any collection of nautical accessories. Italian stainless steel cutlery sets are known for their sleek designs and impeccable finish. They are resistant to rust and corrosion, making them perfect for both indoor and outdoor use. The weight and balance of these pieces also add to the dining experience, making every meal feel special.
Caring for Your Accessories
Cleaning and Maintenance
Proper care is essential to maintain the beauty and functionality of your nautical table accessories. Most melamine and acrylic pieces can be easily cleaned with mild soap and water. It’s important to avoid using abrasive cleaners or scrubbers that can scratch the surface. Stainless steel cutlery should be dried immediately after washing to prevent water spots and maintain its shine.
Storage Tips
Storing your accessories correctly can prolong their life. Keep melamine and acrylic items in a cool, dry place to avoid warping. For stainless steel cutlery, consider using a cutlery tray to prevent scratches and dents. If you're storing items on a boat, ensure they are secured to prevent movement during travel.
Conclusion
Italian handcrafted nautical table accessories are the epitome of elegance and practicality. Their durable, shatter-proof nature makes them perfect for boats, poolsides, backyards, or any setting where you want to combine sophistication with functionality. With a range of beautiful designs and high-quality materials, these accessories not only enhance your dining experience but also bring a touch of Italian artistry to your everyday life. Investing in these pieces means you can enjoy timeless elegance and lasting durability, no matter where you are.

Is Luxury Finally Set for a Sustainability Reckoning? Amid growing disillusionment with luxury brands, a series of Italian investigations linking major players like Dior and Armani to sweatshop labor is putting new pressure on the sector’s most powerful asset: brand image. MILAN, Italy — Midway through March, Italian police raided a factory complex on a quiet street in a leafy suburb of Milan, 11 kilometers from the city’s via Montenapoleone luxury shopping district. Inside the factory, they found nearly two dozen workers — several employed under the table — making leather bags and accessories for luxury giant Dior. Safety mechanisms had been removed from machinery to enable faster production, with work beginning early in the morning and continuing late into the night, according to court documents. In one instance, Dior paid the supplier €53 ($58) a piece to assemble a handbag it sold for €2,600, the documents said. LVMH-owned Dior is just one of more than a dozen fashion companies swept up in the Italian investigation linking luxury brands to sweatshop labor. In April, an Armani Group subsidiary was sanctioned by the Court of Milan for failing to ensure its suppliers met Italian labor standards. Alviero Martini, a smaller brand known for its map-print bags, received similar treatment in January. (The company said its suppliers had illegally hired subcontractors). More actions against fashion companies manufacturing in Italy are expected to follow in the coming months. The investigation threatens the luxury sector’s most precious asset — brand image — calling into question the veracity of the craftsmanship-soaked marketing narrative luxury players routinely use to bolster the perceived quality of their products, while painting labor exploitation as a mass-market problem. The threat comes at a precarious time for the luxury sector. Not only has the market cooled significantly since the heady days of the post-Covid luxury boom, but punchy price hikes amid reports of declining quality have put pressure on the perceived value of luxury products. On Wednesday, Italy’s Competition Authority announced it had launched its own probe into whether Armani and Dior had misled consumers about their commitments to ethics, craftsmanship, and quality in light of the police investigation. Armani said it has always had measures in place to minimize the risk of supply chain abuses and that it believes the Competition Authority’s allegations “have no merit.” Dior said the initial investigation’s findings don’t reflect the way it operates and that it has stopped working with the suppliers identified by Italian authorities. “The house of Dior firmly condemns these unworthy acts which contradict its values and the code of conduct signed by these suppliers,” the company said in a statement published this week, adding that it is working to improve its supply chain oversight. It also contested some of the findings in the case. The manufacturers in question weren’t producing women’s handbags, but partially assembling men’s leather goods, Dior said, describing characterizations of its production costs as “ridiculously low” as “erroneous.” "It should be noted that the profit margin of the house of Dior is entirely in line with that of the luxury industry," the company said. A Slow-Brewing Backlash The sweatshop scandal has sparked a slow-brewing online backlash, fueled in recent weeks by high-profile coverage in publications like The Financial Times and The Wall Street Journal. But it remains to be seen whether social media outrage will impact sales. The coming week brings the sector’s first public accounting since the Dior news broke in early June — too late in the quarter for much to show up in the numbers when LVMH reports on Tuesday. Luxury investors are anyway currently far more concerned about the fact that Chinese consumers — long the sector’s biggest growth engine — are not shopping like they used to. “Given everything that’s going on in
China, nobody is focused on this in the investment community,” said Adam Cochrane, an analyst at Deutsche Bank Research. Judging by history, that’s a reasonable position to take. Luxury brands have largely managed to sidestep associations with poor labor practices that have dogged fast fashion, painting their high price points as both a function and a guarantee of their commitment to artisanal and ethical manufacturing. Past scandals in Italy and elsewhere have done little to dent this image, quickly fading from collective consciousness, helped along by public commitments to ethical operations and selective investments upstream. ‘Disillusioned with Luxury’ As in 2008, the scrutiny on luxury’s supply chain is not a standalone issue, but one of several pressure points putting cracks in luxury’s marketing façade. Soaring prices for high-end handbags already have critics grumbling vocally on social media about sticker shock amid reports of declining quality. Layer on allegations of labor exploitation and the reputational risks are mounting. “If luxury’s marketing mythology is indeed ‘broken,’ the implications for the sector are serious,” said Deutsche Bank’s Cochrane. “It would be a real fundamental risk… the sort of thing that can really change the direction of a brand unless it’s handled the right way.” Regulators are also playing a bigger role than they have in the past. The investigation by Italy’s Competition Authority is a rare instance of luxury brands getting drawn into a wide-ranging greenwashing crackdown that has already snared numerous mass market players, including H&M Group, Boohoo and Asos. Though potential penalties ranging from €5,000 to €10 million are relatively small, incoming due diligence regulations could bring much more severe fines in the future. Fixing the issues would require big investments to consolidate supply chains and bring more manufacturing in house. Alternatively, companies could pay suppliers more and step up monitoring and controls. Both have costs, but luxury brands enjoy sizable margins and could make cuts elsewhere to smooth out the impact of any increases. Still, a real reckoning may only come if fallout from the scandal starts to show up in the bottom line.

Unveiling the Enchanting Beauty of Iridescent Chiffon Fabric
In the realm of textiles, few fabrics evoke as much allure and enchantment as iridescent chiffon. Known for its delicate transparency, lightweight feel, and shimmering effect, iridescent chiffon fabric is a favorite among designers for creating ethereal and mesmerizing garments. This article explores the unique characteristics, applications, and appeal of iridescent chiffon fabric, highlighting its role in fashion and beyond.
Characteristics of Iridescent Chiffon Fabric
Iridescent chiffon is characterized by its sheer and airy nature, making it ideal for creating flowing garments that drape beautifully. It is typically woven from silk, polyester, or a blend of synthetic fibers, lending it a subtle sheen that changes hues with movement and light. This iridescent effect adds depth and dimension to the fabric, giving it a magical quality that captivates the eye.
Applications in Fashion
In the world of fashion, iridescent chiffon fabric is coveted for its ability to create dreamy and romantic looks. Its lightweight and fluid texture make it perfect for creating soft, billowing dresses, skirts, and blouses that evoke a sense of whimsy and grace. Designers often use iridescent chiffon for eveningwear, bridal gowns, and formal attire, where its ethereal quality enhances the wearer's elegance and charm.
The fabric's versatility extends beyond formal wear, with designers also incorporating it into casual and semi-formal collections. Tops, scarves, and even accessories like hair ribbons and handkerchiefs benefit from the fabric's softness and subtle shimmer, adding a touch of sophistication to everyday ensembles.
Decorative and Craft Applications
Beyond fashion, iridescent chiffon fabric finds its place in various decorative and craft applications. Its lightweight nature makes it ideal for creating drapery, curtains, and table runners that add a touch of elegance to home décor. Crafters also use iridescent chiffon for creating embellishments on garments, such as overlays on skirts or sleeves, adding a delicate and intricate detail that enhances the overall design.
Care and Maintenance
Proper care is essential to maintain the delicate beauty of iridescent chiffon fabric. Handwashing with a mild detergent in cold water is recommended to preserve its softness and sheen. Avoiding excessive wringing and drying flat or hanging it to air dry helps maintain its shape and texture. For garments with embellishments or delicate stitching, professional cleaning may be necessary to ensure longevity and continued vibrancy.

Curate Your Space: Styling Tips for a Vintage Italian Coffee Table
A vintage Italian coffee table is more than just a piece of furniture; it is a statement of elegance and a testament to timeless craftsmanship. The blend of rich walnut wood, sleek glass accents, and intricate details make these tables a focal point in any living space. If you're lucky enough to own one, you’ll want to ensure it shines as the centerpiece it deserves to be. Here are some curated styling tips to help you highlight the beauty of your vintage Italian coffee table and seamlessly integrate it into your home decor.
Embrace the Central Placement
The first step in showcasing your vintage Italian coffee table is to give it a prominent position in your living room. Place it centrally, perhaps between a pair of luxurious upholstered armchairs or directly in front of your sofa. This central placement not only makes the table easily accessible but also establishes it as the heart of your living space, drawing attention and admiration from guests.
Layer with Coffee Table Books
Coffee table books are a classic accessory that can enhance the visual appeal of your vintage Italian coffee table. Select books with beautiful covers and interesting topics that reflect your personal tastes or complement the room’s color palette. Stack them in neat piles, alternating the orientation for a casual yet curated look. These books not only add height and interest but also provide a personal touch, giving guests a glimpse into your passions and interests.
Add Greenery and Floral Arrangements
Introducing natural elements such as plants and flowers can bring life and freshness to your coffee table. Choose a floral arrangement that complements the color scheme of your room. A classic arrangement in a sleek vase can add elegance, while a potted plant can introduce a touch of greenery and tranquility. Consider the season when selecting your flowers to keep the look current and vibrant.
Incorporate Personal and Decorative Objects
Personalize your coffee table with items that tell a story about who you are. This could be anything from a cherished family heirloom to a piece of art you’ve collected during your travels. Small sculptures, decorative bowls, and candles can add layers of texture and interest. Be mindful of the arrangement; placing items in odd numbers often looks more balanced and visually appealing.
Utilize Decorative Trays
A decorative tray can be a stylish and practical addition to your vintage Italian coffee table. Trays help organize smaller items and create a cohesive look. Choose a tray that contrasts with the walnut and glass elements of your table for added interest. A metallic or ceramic tray can add a modern touch, while a wooden tray can enhance the table’s classic appeal. Use the tray to hold items like remote controls, coasters, or even a small potted plant.
Balance Height and Proportion
Creating a balanced look on your coffee table is essential. Mix objects of varying heights to add dimension and keep the eye moving across the table. For example, a tall vase can be paired with shorter, stacked books and a medium-sized candle. Avoid cluttering the table; instead, aim for a well-edited collection of items that complement each other and the table itself.
Play with Textures and Colors
Adding different textures and colors can create a rich, layered look on your coffee table. Pair the smooth surface of the glass with textured fabrics or woven materials. A small fabric runner or a piece of lace can soften the look of the table and add a touch of warmth. Use colors that either complement or contrast with the rich tones of the walnut wood. Metallic accents, like gold or bronze, can add a touch of luxury and sophistication.
Enhance with Proper Lighting
Proper lighting can dramatically enhance the beauty of your vintage Italian coffee table. Use a combination of natural and artificial light to highlight its features. A nearby floor lamp or a set of sconces can cast a warm, inviting glow, drawing attention to the table. Candles, whether real or LED, can add a cozy and intimate ambiance, perfect for evening gatherings.
Keep It Clean and Maintained
To keep your vintage Italian coffee table looking its best, regular maintenance is essential. Dust the table frequently with a soft, dry cloth to prevent the buildup of dirt and grime. Use a gentle cleaner designed for wood and glass to clean any spills or smudges. Avoid placing hot or wet items directly on the table to protect its surfaces.
Conclusion
Styling a vintage Italian coffee table is an art that requires a blend of creativity, personal expression, and a keen eye for detail. By thoughtfully selecting and arranging accessories, balancing heights and proportions, and incorporating different textures and colors, you can create a stunning focal point that elevates your living space. Proper placement and lighting will further enhance its beauty, ensuring your vintage Italian coffee table remains a cherished piece that brings both style and sophistication to your home.
