1. Last song: Laplace's Angel (Hurt People? Hurt People!) by Will Wood! I was listening to this while thinking about a silly Light Yagami animatic I will never make. Laplace's Angel fits Light so SOOOO much.

2. Currently Watching: I'm watching a Minecraft series with my little sister! PiroPito first play through of Minecraft! He's playing Minecraft blind with no tutorials. It's very fun to watch someone discover Minecraft mechanics on their own!

3. Three Ships: I don't get what this means, is it asking for my favorite ships? That is a difficult question. I'll just list three Death Note rare pairs I think are cute. Matsulight, Beymane, and L x Aizawa

4. Favorite Color: I love everything saturated! Hmm hot pink, I guess?

5. Currently Consuming: I haven't eaten any proper food yet but the last thing I ate was glitter and paper...

6. First Ship: The first ship I remember shipping was Zeref x Mavis when I was like. 7?? I loved that ship so soo much lmao. But the first Death Note ship I shipped was yagamane lmao. I was around 8 when I first watched Death Note and 8 year old me thought they'd be cute. I rewatched Death Note because of a lawlight tumblr post tho.

Just watched the new Alien: Romulus movie and there's this one thing... Well. Just imagine.

Imagine you're some intern at some Weyland-Yutani science facility. You're new and it's of course a huge privilege, so you're excited, and then your supervisor, some android named after a random chess piece, approaches you and bam!, you recieve your first order:

I'm rewatching this mainly to study the components adapted by D&D regarding the Meereen plot with the slavers.

Dany was necessarily aged up, they adapted the Dothraki to be somehow more orientalist and racist than the books (no word for "thank you?" gtfo), and completely neglected Dany's own relationship with being enslaved. Even the most crucial aspects of her early abuse are hand-waved, even when there is a literal in-text comparison to Dany and Khal Drogo's enslaved people wearing golden collars.

GRRM famously wondered what made Aragorn a "good" king, and wondered about his tax policy. Here, he adapts it by having Dany's freed advisor, Missandei of Nath, tactically hit the slavers where it hurts - taxes. People can sell themselves into services, but former enslavers can't sell those they used to own, and husbands cannot sell wives. However morally dubious, these policies have a chilling effect on the trade. There are many unhappy components to Dany's compromise with slavers, but it is my opinion that GRRM is demonstrating the limits of compromise with people who don't believe in the humanity of others.

My research means there is a lot I can go into (like the inherent racism of the whole plot), but I feel the most crucial is the fact D&D, Confederate sympathizers that they are, distilled Hizdar's character to Brown Face to pretend that Dany is a white settler colonizer Just As Bad as the slavers for taking away their sacred fighting right of watching poor people butcher each other and laughing as helpless people are eaten by lions :(((

I've been reading a lot of Warhammer 40k novels and short stories lately, mostly T'au and Necron stuff. I'm particularly enamoured with Trazyn and all the mischief he gets up to, and I love that he has a whole crew of necrons on Solemnace who are just as eccentric as he is. I've been doodling some characters and decided to draw up some proper pieces with inking and colouring too.

So, here's Arch-Cryptek Sannet (the forgetful chief curator who needs to write things down to recall them), and Huntmaster, game warden of Solemnace (a very cool deathmark who wears a void-cape and helps Trazyn collect specimens for study and preservation. I gave him a hood because it looks cool and he matches Trazyn now. :3)

Let the Necrons have a sitcom already, there's more than enough drama and comedy for it. I love petty old robots.

A.J Pollard’s biography on Edward IV was so cringe lol (generic; minor but frustrating inaccuracies; intensely judgmental at times and oddly dismissive at others while never considering the broader context; entirely diminished and trivialized Elizabeth Woodville as both queen and wife of his main subject in the name of "defending" her; created a false dichotomy between Edward and Henry VII’s styles of ruling and lauded the latter at the former’s expense even though Henry literally followed Edward’s example for the very things Pollard was criticizing Edward for; had a downright nonsensical and thoroughly misleading conclusion about Edward’s legacy & Richard’s usurpation that was based entirely on hindsight, Pollard's own assumptions, and the complete downplaying Richard’s agency and actions to emphasize what Pollard wrongly and misleadingly claimed were Edward's so-called 'failings', etc, etc)

I wanted to buy his book on Henry V but after reading this shitshow and the synopsis of that book, im guessing it's going to be 10x worse, so...no thanks

I've recently started watching My Lady Jane (and with that I mean I've already watched 6 of 8 episodes) and it's one of the few shows that actually makes me laugh out loud - even when I am home alone, even when my bf is in the next room. It just has those unexpected absolutely hilarious moments

It is really good! I like it very much, it's very fruity and especially refreshing with ice cubes. I think the passionfruit is the flavor I noticed the most, but the orange makes it very good too.
