Ooof I'm out of practice
I spent too long only drawing derps and then I spent too long not even drawing derps
Whelp only way to get back into practice is to... well.... practice. haha
So because I find it encouraging to do so, I'm posting more progress updates that I'll prolly delete later.
Enjoy as I slowly go nuts filling in all this hair
Just finished my second playthrough of Stray Gods, and I know he's not really considered the popular choice, but listen to me. Romancing Pan is so much fun actually. Is he an asshole? ya. Is he also a sneaky bastard? absolutely.
But while romancing him you start to lean that Pan has been hiding behind a facade in order to protect himself. And he's been doing it for so long, he's kind of forgotten how to be genuine. And at the end of the game he IS genuine, and also a total sweetheart
Also, I am not immune to Pan's puppy dog eyes, they're too much, my heart immediately melts for him
there's an ESL test centre near where i work and because the entrance isn't obvious we get a lot of people coming in to ask for directions. i've gotten really good at guessing when someone's about to ask, so now if i see a person approach looking stressed and holding a bit of paper i just point and say "it's two doors down on the right, next to the ice-cream parlour." once or twice it's been a misfire, but 98% of the time i'm right and they look at me like i'm a scary witch
Leo's perspective is probably the most fun one in the lost hero. But I like Rick Riordan's choice to rotate perspectives. It's different, but it helps give each character a voice. Leo's voice/perspective happens to be the funniest to read, but I like Jason and Piper a lot too. The book has three amazing protagonists. Jason, Leo and Piper are all fun characters, and I've found things relatable about all of them.
omg I'd love more pmd2 gifs of the main story w/ skytemple-hacked in starters....... the Zangoose & Mightyena one is bringing me so much joy I keep watching it again & again
DONT WORRY I WILL AND I'M HAVING SO MUCH FUN WITH ALL THE HILARIOUS CHAOS and those 2 look soooo cute in the PMD sprites ;w;;
and guess who's the almighty powerhouse guarding a Time Gear??
finally caught up on copying all the poems and things that i wanted to copy into my commonplace book :D which means maybe i can start keeping it regularly again!
this is my commonplace book, aka a notebook where you write down quotes and excerpts that you want to remember or keep with you. it's the second physical notebook--the first one had bees on the cover and i started it in a senior year humanities class, and kept quotes from all our readings. in college i've been reading less and i fell behind, so i haven't been using this one much. but now i can go back to keeping it with me as i read, and writing things down as I go!
Heeeeeey y'all I'm about to lay down for my daily post-work stress coma but I thought y'all should know my friend @judetuude is streaming tonight at 7pm CST/8pm EST over at twitch.tv/judetude. I think they're playing Sims 2 tonight so come get your nostalgia fix! It's gonna be a good time. 😊
Alchemy of Souls really is that good. All the characters are so well written. They are all smart and that's so nice to watch because the plot drives everyone towards the same destination while each one tries in their own capacity to handle things.
Fascinating as the audience that you know it all and yet you're not frustrated about it.
Also the comedy is brilliant and so well placed.
Crown Prince is very slowly becoming a favourite. Every scene he's in somehow ends up being funny without making him a fool. That's quite solid writing.
