you probably already noticed that titles and names are two different things. here specifically KDJ addresses the fact that the title king and hero wasn't smth either wanted, but instead was given to them by others.

the biggest difference between the two is probably that KDJ will never deny being Kim Dokja, but also not call himself that

while YJH will never deny being the hero, while also not referring himself as such.

The secret is to draw a lot and to draw a lot you need to become unhealthily obsessed with something. Sometimes you get to choose what it is. Often you don't . best of luck!🍀

On a more serious note, I found the easiest way to actually get better & draw more is to find a community you like, it helps if you are also severely committed in said topic. Easiest way is probably to participate in fandom, but I don't mean fandom as in you post your thing and that's it. Participate in events, go to discord servers etc. etc. People work hard to maintain and cultivate those spaces, so you might as well use it. The people organising all of it will be happy to see you too ! (dont be a dick though, the rules exist for a reason)

Also become, uh , a pervert. not like sexually or anything, being a little weird helps since in the end art is an expression

One thing I genuinily enjoy about joongdok themed animals is that YJH usually gets to be regular black/dark coloured animal with angry thick eyebrows and maybe a collar + scars meanwhile KDJ gets to keep his DKOS features, making him look like some overdesigned self insert sona Like so:
