Hi yes I made an Au purely and entirely based on a dream I had once and continued thinking about and whoops now I’m here
I haven’t even watched much of the 2017 show
actually I was never interested in Bradford before this began, I didn’t think much of him but then something changed????
I looked into his character more and more and I’m like ‘wow, I could totally have my oc interact with him in an Au I should totally make’ and this the start of this Au
[uhh disclaimer?? I know what happens in the show I just never sat down and watched it all, this Au is based on what I know (which should be enough) and some headcannons, I’m just having fun here lol]
This is basically it
Yeah
there’s also a clone hybrid kiddo somewhere of the Brass Mirror Duo promptly named Brass Ford Buzzard that is sometimes cannon 🤷
also this Au takes place years later after the final so let’s just say Bradford had time to think things over for a long time
Finders Keepers warm up sketches b4 I start designing some character stuff
I missed themm
The DCAs arms/hands keep breaking because of how much they move and do silly acrobatics, pairing that with some leftover water+fire damage, it is one of the things that Y/N has to repair often;
New compatible parts are hard to find + expensive (considering how old the DCAs model is), so Y/N normally has to go to old faztech electronic trash dumps to find something that might work, which is usually pieces of other similar-looking Attendants from some old FAZCO animatronic line. You really hope sun and moon don't know about this, or else things will get awkward
havin a little fun with the lamb and potential tentacle body horror because i think sometimes they should be gross. why SHOULDN'T these God creatures be an affront to the nature of creation
[OLD ART ALERT] A COLLECTION OF SCENES FROM THE GILLIONS CATSCRATCH ARC THAT BROUGHT ME GREAT JOY. i love fishy chips especially when its just gillion being delirious and violent and hostile
the fact that they made it illegal to make ads louder than programs on tv in 2010 but haven't updated it to apply the same regulation to streaming. who do i have to call.
I absolutely love this trend going around and I desperately wanted to jump on the train because I always miss out on this kind of thing but I got it done this time YAHOO
new painting!! tried some new stuff with this one in an attempt to speed up my painting process so i can (hopefully) stop spending 60+ hours on one painting 😅 hope y'all like it!
"girls support girls-" okay but are you normal about queer women? are you normal about BIWOC? are you normal about disabled women? are you normal about autistic women? are you normal about fat women? alternative women? unattractive women? are you normal about women who choose not to shave their legs and armpits and faces? are you normal about butches and tomboys and masculine women? are you normal about trans women? are you normal about trans men? are you normal about nonbinary folk and people who lie outside the gender binary or renounce gender all together? are you normal about women who absolutely despise and detest the latest trends? are you normal about weird women who unsettle you with their interests? are you normal about women who don't wear makeup, who will never wear makeup, who openly dislike makeup and the makeup industry?
I'm a many-many-generations-Appalachian, and when I was a teenager, everyone assumed I'd leave, so I thought I should. And then when I did leave, someone called my mama and told her I was the most homesick child they'd seen in decades, that she should come get me. She didn't, because she wanted me to succeed that badly, but I got myself back to Appalachia PDQ. And then I never left again, because Appalachia is where I belong.
I know the stereotypes, but we can be happy here, too. I've got a good life, with a well-paying job I love, a silver anniversary spouse, wonderful children, and a nice house. My mama lives with us and that's just how we like it. Our quietly queer little family is proud to be Appalachian, and our children learn our history, like the recorded story from their great-grandfather who saw the Baldwin-Felts get off the train in Matewan.
Are there problems in Appalachia? Sure. But that doesn't mean we are all living in misery. Appalachian lives are more than poverty porn and strip mines and drugs and Dew mouth. We have our own festivals and music and art and foods and books to celebrate our shared heritage. We have our own holidays, too, like the first day of deer season. There can be a lot of joy in our Appalachian lives, if we let it.
And of course, we can all join together to remind folks that #heaintfromaroundhere ;)
