My bad for the late reply, I got confused cause I thought I missed something and I had to read several wiki pages

Like in canon, Roier is replaced with Doied, but it's a lot less seamless. Elq is, at his core, a paranoid bastard, so he instantly clocks that 'Roier' is different but due to the whole 'Our husband is missing' situation (Doied barely keeps his composure at Elq's assertions that they are married) Elq decides to just keep an eye (and several security cameras) on him.

Doied doesn't go with Richas and Pomme to go grab them because he wasn't confident in his ability to pretend to be Roier in front of both his husbands(?) (He still isn't really sure if Elq was just committed to the bit or if they were unofficially married). Elq goes but only because BBH convinced him.

Elq wanted to stay behind to make sure the eggs were safe but was visibly tearing himself apart over not being able to go find Cellbit first hand so BBH goes out of his way to convince him to go look for him with Richas and Pomme (It takes a lot of fake evil monologuing and saying that he'll look after Pepito with 'Roier' while he's gone).

Richas still finds Cellbit first, but Elq is not far behind. (The whole thing about how Cellbit got back is kinda confusing and unclear to me so sorry if I get details wrong). Richas is there, doing Richas things, when Elq comes running yelling at him to not be an idiot and not wander off. Then he sees Cellbit.

and there's a silent and still moment where both of them are too afraid to move. Too afraid to speak. Then it's broken with a "Guess you're not dead." from Elq that's hiding so much emotion behind it.

That's all it takes for Cellbit to tackle Elq in a hug. Elq may or may not be his husband, Cellbit will probably never know, but he does know that he loves him. Romantically, Platonically, it doesn't matter and Cellbit never bothered to distinguish it. In the end, he loves Elq deeply and that's all that matters.

Hello hello! This is Relating to the prison au and the idea suddenly came to me but how would it differ if the mc was a a lot younger like an intern? I tried searching more if it was even allowed to be a med student intern in a prison but I dunno I just thought it was a neat idea, like if she appeared like an optimistic platonic younger sister more than a romantic interest? I want to congratulate you, anon... you're the first person in a long time to ask something related to prison au that has never been asked before!

Sans: Unfortunately, he'll be even worse. More manipulative, more possessive... more evil. With an older Mc he might see her as easy to manipulate, but he still absolutely views her as her own person- he'd do bad stuff but he (at least) would still respect her opinions and choices. When she's young, he does not respect her opinions and choices. She's just a kid who doesn't know better, someone who needs him to make the big decisions on her behalf.

The worst part is, once he attaches, he sees her like a little sister. It really fucks up his mind- all of those messy, dark, painful feelings about Papyrus, all that unresolved grief from losing one younger sibling... he doesn't care what happens to anyone. Or anything. So long as he doesn't lose any more family.

He's kind to her; oh-so-kind, a sweet and goofy older brother figure who makes terrible puns and chats to her for hours about her favourite videogames. But he's a terrifying empty creature, and he's absolutely going to use her youth and inexperience to his advantage, to make her trust him more than everyone else. Nothing is off the table.

Red: Red adores her. Much like Sans, he ends up in something of a 'big brother' role- the difference is that Red's connection with her is a lot healthier and gentler, with a decent amount of friendly 'fighting' (tossing harmless insults at each other). He turns into a different person around her; he minds his language somewhat, he manages his temper better, although he teases her his teasing never has any venom and he'll drop jokes that upset her. He was built to be a big brother, and he misses his Papyrus a lot- it feels good to have a bond like that with someone again.

(Speaking of Papyrus- he loves Mc too. He sees the effect she has on Red and he absolutely wants to encourage the positive growth. Also... he always wanted a younger sibling.)

Red makes jokes about giving her contraband or getting her in trouble, and her presence in his life has put her firmly on the inmate no-touch list. Red may be a criminal, and he may associate with people who have done terrible things... but he reserves the worst of the worst punishments for those who hurt kids, and his family. Let alone both.

She's been adopted by the mob.

Skull: Skull's intense feelings about Mc in the prison aus aren't really specifically romantic or platonic in the first place. It's his Soul crying out for love and connection after so long alone. They're just Skull Feelings- so a platonic Mc would see the same degree of insanity, desperation and clinginess from our darling cannibal as her older nurse counterpart.

But... I think he would be a bit better with her, overall. Mc being noticeably younger, in his eyes, makes her more 'fragile'- both emotionally and physically. That nagging thought of i need to be careful and responsible would centre him a little more, make him more aware, gentle and slow. In the same way he wouldn't want to frighten a small child, he doesn't want to frighten her; he moves like hes trying not to spook away a small animal. He'd be better at smiling.

... He would still get moments where he can't help himself. Moments where he snaps out of restraints and grabs her, moments where he attacks other staff for getting too close to her. But he tries.

Also i feel like one of the funniest ideas to me is an mc/yuu who is kinda oblivious to romantic intent but only because they're just very physically affectionate and are willing to get their need for affection needs met if that makes sense. Like if they need to find friends then they'll find themselves something (online or in their area) and if they need friends that are chill with physical platonic affection then they'll do their best to find em. Also when i say oblivious to romantic intent, it's not necessarily low emotional intelligence (they can clock if someone's upset and can pinpoint connections between others but they tend to forget to include themselves in the equation if that makes sense) but since they're very high energy and affectionate (plus willing to go get that need for platonic affections met) the usual subtleties of some of the cast romantic affections tend to overlap with their platonic affectionate actions.

Hand holding? They hold hands with whoever with little thought. Holding Deuces paw/claw registers the same as holding Grim's paw in terms of affection. They'll hold the sleeve of a buddy cause that's their buddy dang it and if they aren't shaken off then they'll keep holding until they need to go do their thing or need both hands.

Leaning on another? Cuddling? Sure sure! They did this with their previous friends and family and such. Lean on whoever is trusted enough and willing

Part of the reason they're romantically oblivious is because they forget to take themselves into the equation for social dynamics when figuring out why folks are reacting and behaving in certain ways plus human flirting is hard to clock as it tends to overlap with friendliness and helpfulness/politeness and thus appear similar so trying to clock flirting in another world while not being great at identifying in the first place means Mc/Yuu just ain't gonna clock it.

Hello my coolest of mutuals! In honor of pride month, I need your help figuring something out. I've got a good lock on most of my characters sexualities, even if I don't tend to write much romance. However, there's one exception to that: Ivander. I have no clue what his sexuality is, and even if it has no bearing on his story arc, I'd like your help to finally figure it out.

Ivander has flirted with a woman once on-page. Did he mean it? I'm not sure, but it didn't go anywhere. His curse and self-consciousness have kept him from getting close to anyone romantically for years. He was raised in an overwhelmingly heteronormative environment, where his duty was to marry a wealthy woman and provide an heir - love not playing any role in such things. The only relationship he ever had as an example after his mother disappeared was his uncle and aunt. They were an arranged pair who didn't share any love, but were friendly with each other. After he escaped his family and before his curse got too bad, I think he would've pursued relationships with women because that's what he assumed he'd like, but he also probably had at least one half-recalled fling with a man that he has some confused feelings over. Once his curse did get bad though, he kept himself from getting close with just about anybody, refusing to so much as entertain the idea of a sexual or romantic relationship. He hopes that once his curse is broken, he'll be free to pursue these relationships, but it's not like he has a crush on anyone he's waiting to ask out. The only person he's close to currently is his detective partner, Ceyrel.

Is he a confused aromantic who hasn't realized that there are different kinds of relationships that can fill the loneliness in his life? Was he too saturated with heteronormative ideals as a kid and too antisocial now to know he's gay? Is he demi and are those platonic feelings for Ceyrel romantic instead? I have no idea and it plays absolutely no role in his arc, but I still should probably know as the author, even if he as the character doesn't.

Selina seems like she could be an interesting but docile yandere.

As a platonic she could be teasing but would hold her flirting off for Batman.

Selina seems like she'd be okay as a friend with you.

Things between you primarily starts with exchanging information or small chats.

At first you're hesitant to converse with her.

Yet she eases your worries with her charm.

She'll be well behaved when you speak, she promises.

Your friendship with each other is strictly business related for awhile.

Nothing forced, it's mutual, especially when you two start to speak more outside of business.

Soon you two start to interact away from Batman.

You try not to let Batman know that you've become friends with the burglar.

Honestly, a friendship with Selina seems relatively normal.

She has a tendency to show up at strange times to speak with you as friends.

You could say she's stalking you... she is but she'd never tell you.

Selina is someone who plays her cards right.

She doesn't mind taking risks when it comes to you, like how it's a risk to hunt you down after a robbery.

As a friend she'll be simply looking out for you.

When she has time after one of her clients she'll hunt down your location and just watch.

If she feels up to it she prepares a conversation and meets up with you.

But if you're out and about then... surely you won't mind if your friend follows, yeah?

Hey Aspecs!! I've come up with some terms I plan to use and I really love them so I'm sharing them in case any of you need them. There are some for Aromanatic, Asexual, and Aplatonic.

qpf - Queer Platonic Family

This is for anyone and can have any meaning or purpose. Also remember, family does not have to be defined by you, it can be yours by just using the label. It could mean two people who come when the other calls for help and that's all. Don't let people question it, fight for your home in this world, define what family means to you. Make the word mean safety, care, someone to turn to in your own queer way. Whatever you need it to be, make it so.

qaf - Queer Aplatonic Family

This is for any family defined by structure, community, without the friend or romance of other families. This could mean someone to call in an accident and that's simply it. Whatever you need it to be it's yours. (there's an alternative for this below)

llqf - Life Long Queer Family

I can understand many reasons someone wouldn't use qpf so I thought that llqf and llf may be alternatives that fit within the same vein and also show the importance of the individuals and relationship while also not highlighting typical relationships in a friendly or romantic way. Some aren't platonic but may have people you have written on your call list in emergencies. Or maybe there's another reason, use it if it fits you, or make it fit if you need it to.

qfu - Queer Family Unit

This is for a group, which still can be two or more. Even if someone just considers their pets or plants their family and wants to use it, it doesn't harm anyone so do it. Use it for any reason you desire.

The alternative for above is:

qfg - Queer Family Group

I like unit but I know some might prefer group for sounding more casual.

qfo - Queer Family Oriented

This lets people know your status as open to looking for a family similar to how people say they're looking for friends and partners. It also helps aspecs who don't want family to either set boundaries upon meeting or even steer clear. I mostly think this would be helpful in communication among ourselves but also with others.

nfo - Not Family Oriented

or

nqfo - Not Queer Family Oriented

This is for all aspecs who just aren't up for the above and to highlight your own standing. Aromantics who don't want relationships that are that close, it's completely warranted to need a word or anti descriptor in this case. Also anyone who just isn't looking for a family at the moment could also use this.

npf - Non Platonic Family

or

npu - Non Platonic Unit

Some may have family or their queer community members who might be seen as family, basically family but it isn't Platonic or Romantic. I thought this might work for some who would enjoy defining relationships that highlight the function of a family over the emotional bonds it's often tied to. Family can simply mean two people who both pitch in to live together and aren't really platonic or romantic, or even just a simple unit working together and nothing more.

If anyone has any other ideas with seeing these please say something, I'm all ears, in fact, I think the community might be as well.

Also, please please please, if you think this is a good idea, tell others, I really want people to use these if it works for them. I made this whole blog just to drop these and I would like to know that it helps anyone else.

So... While it's pride month

I am an Oriented AroAce Omnisexual, and while I was casually searching things (as I regularly do), I found a few charts explaining their sexualities.

Now, there isn't anything wrong with explaining your sexuality, gosh no. This isn't a 'call out' post or whatnot, I just want to write my thoughts out cause my friends wouldn't really get it or just say 'ok' in response and change the topic fast.

I, to be honest, don't really get why it has to be overcomplicated. I just, ya know, use the label because it feels right and feels like me. But, of course, not everyone is me.

So I wanna give my personal opinions and thoughts out about AroAce-ness :)

So what is AromanticAsexual?

Aromantic is little to no romantic attraction

Asexual is little to no sexual attraction

And they are of a spectrum. Being AroAce is on a spectrum. There is no specific way to be AroAce, and not everyone has or knows their specific place on the spectrum. Being defined as AroAce alone is a blank slate (Something that has yet to be marked, determined, or developed) so, if you see an AroAce person, don't go out saying "Oh, they are AroAce, they are incapable of loving!" No. That is incorrect.

Misunderstandings of being AroAce

So, from what I've seen is there are a few if not many misunderstandings people make about AroAce people.

One of which is the classic 'inability to love.' While most AroAce individuals might not experience romantic/sexual love, there are many other ways that they do showcase love. (i.e., platonic; friendly, family; brotherly/sisterly, motherly/fatherly, etc.)

But don't take this as the definite call either, no. Some AroAce people just click differently. Some may long for a relationship or want to feel something on a personal level. A personal connection, even. But at the same time they could feel like they don't want to either.

This doesn't make them phonies, though. If an AroAce person opens up to you about feeling like that, please do not harass them and call them a fake.

Some AroAce individuals are conflicted with their own feelings. I can confirm this myself, as I have been struggling with my own feelings for a very long time. It took me years before figuring myself out and becoming comfortable with who I am and what my labels are.

But don't misunderstand! Labels do not make you queer or lgbt. It's how and who you feel attraction to :)

You don't need a label to identify as a queer individual/homosexual. If you feel as if you are attracted to a specific gender or don't have an attraction at all, or feel as if you aren't connected to your assigned pronouns, that doesn't require a label. Just do what you are comfortable with, it is your life, after all :D

Now, another misunderstanding I'd personally like to debunk is 'AroAce people cannot date.' While, yes, that has some truth to it, it is just worded wrongly. How I'd put it is 'an AroAce individual can date, most just prefer not to engage in romantic/sexual relationships.' It mostly depends on which AroAce person you're asking. Some choose to engage in romantic relationships, and some choose not to.

Now, if you ask, "How does that work?" I can not give you a certain answer as I am on the side of the AroAce community that doesn't want to engage in relationships. If you really want an answer to that, go ask an AroAce person who's on that side nicely, and do not harass them, please.

I'd also like to say that I think shipping fictional characters are okay, even if that character is AroAce. Writing an AroAce character in a relationship can be a little hard, that I get, but as long as you respect the Asexual part, then it's alright. (As long as it's a legal fictional pairing, that is.) If that character doesn't have a confirmed place on the spectrum, it's okay to headcanon and imagine, just don't make it AroAce erasure! I can confirm myself that AroAce erasure can be quite hurtful to some and even disrespectful at a rate.

Overall conclusion?

AroAce people feel little to no sexual/romantic attraction. Most don't want to be in none-platonic relationships, and some do.

There is no certain way to be AroAce. It is on a spectrum.

And despite everything, AroAce people need love too. It doesn't need to be romantic. They are only human, after all.

UT Sans:

when he first finds you he's horrified.

he was suspocious at first when Alphys kept putting off your arrival home. Eventually he decided to go looking. Finding you and the rest of the amalgrams horrified him. He despretly tries to figure out a way to fix you and the other amalgrams

He spends months locking himself away in his own lab trying to help you. He pushes everyone away, even you, as he works himself to death for a cure.

It's only when Papyrus drags him upstairs and lectures him for pushing him and yourself away.

Once Sans gets it through his head that this isn't the route to go, he takes breaks and spends more time with you. Helping you get used to your new body.

he and Alphys decide to keep you and the other amalgrams in her lab, as it has the best equipment, and if something goes wrong they have access to some of the most advanced tech in all of the Underground immediantly.

While he and Alphys trie to figure out a cure, you remain in Alphys lab, though you are allowed to leave whenever you want

He treats you as he normally would. Making the same dumb puns and pranks that would make you laugh.

Sometimes he treats you more delicatly then he needs to.

UT Papyrus:

Like Sans, he grows worried about your sudden disapreance from the Underground. He frequently calls you and messages you, asking you how you are, where you are and if your okay.

Soon after he tracks you down in the hidden lab. Unlike Sans, who sorta just sneaks in without Alphys knowing until he's already seen everything.

Papyrus just bursts in, greeting Alphys like an old friend while looking for you. He's friendly, but serious in his mission to look for you. This is where you were last seen after all.

When he finds you, his soul is crushed. The pain your in, the fear you must feel. It hurts him so bad.

He envolps you in a tight hug, not letting go. Even when he hears and sees the other Amalgrams and Alphys.

He immediantly tells Undyne everything, who then tells Asgore everything.

Asgore informs the other amalgrams families and orders Alphys to immediantly start looking for a cure. All other projects put on hold, or handed off to other scientists.

He takes you back to his home. Papyrus is optimistic that you'll eventually get better.

He drags you out for patrols and puzzles and for training. Anything that can get you out of your head, and push the memorys of recent happenings away. Even if its only for a little while.

Regardless of whether a cure is found or not, I believe that Papyrus would still take care of you. He wouldn't mind, he loves you after all.

UF Sans (red):

Initially he dismisses your lack of communiction with him.

You'd gotten into an arguement and you'd stormed off. Just needed a few days to cool down, that's all.

Though when you don't turn back up after a few days, no calls, no messages. He gets worried.

Red teleports into your home. He tears the place a part looking for you. When he doesn't find you and instead finds an e-mail from Alphys offering a job as a lab assistent.

Reds not stupid, he knows Alphys and her fucked up games. He immediantly teleports to the lab, ripping the place a part looking for you. Red ignores Alphys furious screeches and questions.

When he finds you he lashes out. Throwing as many attacks at Alphys as he can, he doesn't give up until Undyne and Edge have arrived.

He drags you back to your home. Trying to patch you up as best as he can, holding your melting body with bandages and monster candy.

Like UT Sans, he throws himself into his work, trying to find a way to cure you. This time though, he doesn't work with Alphys.

He feels terrible. Red feels as though he could have prevented this whole thing from happening if he just wasn't so lazy. Red works to combat his lazyness, in order to prevent something like this from ever happening again.

He keeps you in his home. Hiding you from the rest of the Underground.

If people knew what you were, well, too many people would get the wrong idea. So he keeps you in his home.

He tries to keep you as happy as possible for the meanwhile.

UF Papyrus (Edge):

Edge immediantly notices something is amiss when you don't respond to one of his many Undernet messages.

He embarks on a patrol for you as soon as possible, finding all the clues to your whereabouts, one after the other.

Edge is one of the quickest skeletons to find you after you've turned into a amalgram. Only a few hours afterwords.

Unlike Red he does not attack Alphys and instead pins her to the wall. Demanding an explanation. Once she explains that she was ordered to find a way to make Monsters stronger, he releases her.

He takes you back to his home immdiantly. He places you in the shed. It sounds harsh, but if Alphys is to be believed then people could be looking for you.

Like UT Papyrus, he tries to keep your spirits up with training and puzzles.

Even if that training is just you two figuring out how to cook lasgana and not burn down the kitchen.

Do you think Kalim would confess to a love first or is he too oblivious and would need them to confess first?

I think it depends on how self-aware he is of his feelings and his confidence at the time. Kalim has lots of feelings, but sometimes he has a hard time differentiating them. He mixes up romantic and platonic feelings so often growing up (it was a reoccurring issue when he'd confess to playmates with parents wanting to build status via the Asim family).

He got in trouble one too many times growing up for talking too much, for being so frivolous with his love. “Be careful, Kalim, just because you think you love a friend, doesn't mean they'll feel the same. They might even lie about it to get on your good side.”

So, I think that Kalim would probably need to be confessed to first. He only really trusted Jamil to be his true friend, a sentiment that was shattered over winter break. He's anxious, then, with the thought of not only misinterpreting his crush's actions, words, and feelings as something more, but also if his are actually romantic and not platonic.

It's a whole ordeal that may actually push Kalim into the realm of jealously, something he wasn't aware he could feel, when he sees his crush interacting with another student a bit more friendly than usual.

I was playing some of Recipe For Turnabout with my mom today, and she made a good point when talking about Kudo and his reason for being a regular at Très Bien.

"Why can't [Kudo] be dealing with loneliness and want someone to talk to instead of ogling young girls?"

I dislike the typical anime archetype of pervy comedic relief characters as much as anyone else and criticize it for how its handled, but I think it's just as important to discuss how pervertedness for the sake of being 'funny' could be changed into something more thoughtful. Most of the time, characters are written to be pervy for the audience to have something to laugh at (mostly at the expense of the perverted character), but its rarely considered and elaborated on why they are acting so debauched. People will always yearn for human connection, but that yearning doesn't have to be solely romantic or sexual. More often than not, people may simply want someone they can confide in and have friendly conversations with to pass the time and potentially have a nice companionship with. Or, on the other side of the coin, maybe someone desperately wants attention and will do heinous things to obtain their moment in the spotlight.

Pervy characters don't have to be pervy as a baseline. Giving them a reason for their actions or shifting their romantic or sexual feelings to a platonic or even familial yearning could lead to interesting explorations of what would simply be standard comedic relief characters. It's a step toward making them feel all the more human instead of living the role of the butt of a joke.

I guess what I'm tryin' to say is that we need more diverse personalities and psychologies of perverted characters rather than just leaving it at 'talk trash get brass sexual style' for comedy points and fanservice.
