Jason & Pigeons: Panel Analysis
You know how pigeons were domesticated by humans then discarded? This panel of Jason feeding the pigeons after Bruce had Clockwork Oranged him made me think of that. Jason probably feels like Bruce did that to him.
Wonder if this was on purpose, or I'm just overthinking it lol.

“Issue #12: The Shining Towns”
Now the plot really starts to ramp up! This is one of the earlier issues I wrote, and I’ve been looking forward to writing it. Though PATFW is very character-focused, one of the main reasons I wanted to start it was to explore horror and more gritty drama in a Warriors setting. I think this is the first issue that really comes to the forefront.
You might find the title a bit odd, as it doesn’t come from anything in the story itself. The phrase comes out of one of my all-time favorite quotes, from John Gardner’s novel Grendel:
"The wall will fall to the wind as the windy hill
will fall, and all things thought in former times:
Nothing made remains, nor man remembers.
And these towns shall be called the shining towns!"
I just find it so poetic and personally fascinating. I’m pretty fond of that book.
Just in case you didn’t catch on to what is implied in this issue, I’ll confirm it; all the skeletons are from the other three Clans that were destroyed by the “dark army”. These are their remains, so it is confirmed for Pinepaw that they didn’t just mysteriously disappear but rather died in the territory.

“[So, out of 1,406 ‘Saiki’ households…]”
I love the implication that this is lampshading that *no other protagonist has had their surname count called out* XD

TW Gargoyles comics SPOILERS:
Ugh. "My boy"... 😑
Not an ounce of blame to himself for his own son getting arrested and instead condemning the Gargoyles for stopping him from committing further felonies and damage to himself... Wolf's dad is an enabler, just like Hakon! Which makes so much sense why Wolf is the way he is, so self-hating, directionless and just overall mad at the world about it!
Congratulations Greg, you have created a character that I actually hate more than Maggie or Margot. 😹
But of course like Maggie and Margot, I love to hate him, because that just means there's so much more in terms of potential for Wolf and getting a taste of where he comes from is a much needed dosage of medicine for context to his character.
Absolutely love Gargoyles and these comics ❤️

what
Okay this is like one of my favorite asks I've ever gotten. Real "fuck was that??" energy that I'm hoping to bring to the Warriors fandom.
I hate to break it to y'all, but the story is only going to get darker from here (though not all the time!!). This is your first little taste of that spicy spicy existential horror inflicted on this little blue cat.
