Penguins of the Madagascar 200 follower event :D
So, Uh, this is one of the two that won [the other being We Happy Few], and so I write!
This is going off of a Intern! [Reader] for these, as that makes the most sense in the in-universe.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, To start things off with a Dave's Intern reader, I should likely explain why you're an intern, and more specifically, Dave's intern.
Dr. Octavius Brine is a scientist, but we the audience know that he is an octopus. Well, he needs someone to take care of PR [Public Relations] and menial things like interviews, so he hires a little intern/assisstant to do things for him.
Now, he's sort of forgetful of you, [as seen by 'accidentally' kidnapping you when he asks you to follow him onto the sub]. Essentially, he asked you to come onto the submarine with him so that then he could talk to you about coming out to the public with a submarine and why does he have it? But then, he got confirmation that he got the penguins and he ordered Geoffrey "rush to Italy!" While you're on board.
Now, if this is the Reader who simply thinks, 'Eh, money is money', then the minute things that happen like his constant obsession with eating fish and adding octopus motifs onto things, are simply things you don't acknowledge. And realistically, it likely is, so that's another thing we're sticking with.
Now, Dave is already Needy with human's attention, so having one that doesn't care about him being an octopus? Well, he's very attached to his little assistant, waving off little concerns about why he needs an intern around so much with just "I'm teaching them, now, don't interupt me." Dave is Needy, as we just focused on, but also Overprotective due to most of the good things in his life leaving him for 'cuter' animals, like humans attention at zoos. He finds himself often coming closer to you when anyone talks to you [whether they be a scientist or reporter] and wrapping an arm [tentacle] around you as you speak to them, trying to ward them off without saying a word. Clingy is more-so another factor of him staying with you, sticking with your personality and person even when the reporters and scientists are long gone, leaving him to slowly crave your praise and adoration, rather than others. Of course, they still give him a dopamine rush, but nothing makes him happier he's making evil plans than hearing you praise his intelligence, listening to how your remarks on his newest research are in-depth and never thought about before.
The Penguins: A bit of a weirder version, as it's 4 differing people with differing personalities. With that in mind, there's no reason for a yandere version of them, so instead, they became yandere due to your shock of Dave's plan, and attempting to subtly help them, leads Private to be a little more friendly, a little more obsessed. Overall, the main traits they all have in common are: Impulsive [Rico], Self-Indulgent [Private, and Skipper, surprisingly], and Kowalski is an interesting case, since he's more-so into your mind, how does it work? What did you pick up while working with Dave? Etc, so he's not any one defining characteristic.
North Wind: Another four person group, so naturally, just the main few characteristics in order to keep this as orderly as possible. After the penguins help you out and the North Wind picks all of you up, you rest with the North Wind, having them pick your mind about Dave, and what he's planning and how to stop him. Of course, with such nonchalance, Classified is a little more skeptical and forgiving with Reader, as Reader is so chill. Main traits are: Possessive, Manipulative, and obsessive, with a major part being possessive, and manipulation coming in with "They worked with Dave! We have to keep them here otherwise they might reveal secrets to the world we can't let the world know" or any other excuse.

Saturday October 19th,2024 New York Comic Con
So I took a solo trip to NYCC and attended, let alone dressed up for such an event, for the first time. (I literally assembled my cosplay within a week bc I got my hair dyed the previous Friday, and my best friend pushed me off the ledge out of my comfort zone and encouraged me to dress up!).
Somehow, one of the absolute WORST weeks of my life due to major personal life issues between my car engine exploding in the middle of the woods in north carolina, being forced to stay in georgia until literally 5:30pm THE NIGHT BEFORE (FLEW up I-85N to the closest airport when I could finally leave. delta literally saved my life when I managed to catch a flight leaving at 7pm to go back home where ALL of my cosplay outfit pieces)straight up $🔥🔥🔥 hurt so bad but I was NOT missing this event for anything)) landed at 11:30pm and ended up just pulling an all-nighter to get ready and drive 3 hours back to nyc. my layover was in laguardia and it hurt so bad to know I had to turn around and drive right back past it LOL. however, the week I was PRAYING for to end, still ended off to be an incredible first-time experience thanks to these two, and everyone else I met who attended!
Someone sedate me. How am I supposed to sleep at night knowing the very first words he said were “wow, look at you”, and then “I’ll sign whatever you want” at the table? talk about giving me a free lobotomy on the spot bc I couldn’t formulate a single sentence. Matt was so nice too!! I wish I was able to interact w him more but im so thankful that I was able to get a duo picture.
tom autographed a copy of our solo pic together, and I didn’t even make it out of nyc on saturday night before running to the first target I saw to grab 4 8x10 photo frames.
I circled back around the line after realizing he was willing to sign my crown too and he had his white pen out and ready!! 😭😭 I was so excited and awkwardly laughing bc I was flustered as hell that I walked right by the swau booth. completely forgot that I added the up charge to have them authenticate it, but I guess it doesn’t matter all that much because this crown will only be pried from my cold, dead hands.
Jokingly told my mom to bury the crown with me and a few other trinkets like a pharaoh’s tomb if you will. I got an odd side glance from her. Reminded me of Penguins of Madagascar’s “smile and wave boys… smile and wave….😬😀”
I didn’t even realize Tom wasn’t feeling well and had to leave early because of how bright his smile was, and how responsive he was both when taking pictures and signing autographs.
Dream come true! 💚💚 blushing, giggling, swinging and kicking my feet.
gotta lock it in, im literally yapping right now… not done yet though :)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
spay me for saying this— i cant tell what i enjoyed more about meeting him: seeing his toothy smile, or smelling his cologne, or learning what the IRL height difference is? 🤤🫠
okay yall imma shut up now but OMG!!! im obsessed with how good these pictures came out! im so excited to receive more. I hope everyone who attended had an amazing time!!

Madagascar Party Themes Last Question!
Alright everyone! Most of the themes have been determined. We had a tie regarding the Alternate Universe vs. What If? question.
Due to the fact that the event will have 4 new themes and 4 previous themes plus Penguins, Zoosters, and Lemurs by default, the choice between Alternate Universe and What If? results in different winners from the other questions as well! These are the two possibilities for the event schedule which will determine themes 9 and 10!!! Vote for which option you would prefer!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This survey is just going to last 1 day since I'm trying to get the official themes out by the end of the weekend so share this around so everyone gets the chance to vote!

Shred Force OC because I love the pilot and I wish it got greenlit. I'm also going to ramble about some random lore ideas I have.
So her name is Rosia Twiggy, she's a violin alien robot akin to Nordic Bunny and their both dating (Villainous Rivals to Lovers)
So, some lore ideas I had for Shred Force was that "Were their other music gods as well?" So for Rosia, I'd say she was associated with the Orchestra Gods (essentially the Rock Gods before the Rock Gods) but turned on them later on when they decided to give up their mantle as the main music gods. Since Rosia is also Nordic's counterpart, she also has lobster minions.
For Rosia's personality, she's essentially a evil version of Classified from Penguins of Madagascar (2014). She's a arrogant smug villain who wants to conquer Earth for her own personal reasons. She's a calm and collected conquer who is sophisticated as possible, but does have a short fuse when properly provoked.
Trivia time
Despite her ego and what she wants to believe, she can be a big goofball like Nordic sometimes. (Quite literally doesn't know the difference between crabs and lobsters, can't pronounce vintage, can be just as hammy as him, and tends to give overly dramatic and dumb speeches about how the Orchestra Gods were the best.)
Is British
She can extend her arms to a certain degree.
Get extremely pissed off if someone calls her Twiggy even though it's her last name
Is very fond of insulting others she thinks are beneath her
Likes classical music and hates punk music
Nordic Bunny x Rosia Twiggy ship names are these: Norsia, RockViolin, and ClassicalRock
That's all, I wish this pilot got greenlit, it looked and was amazing

Madagascar: Film-to-Book Changes & Details (part 2 of 4)
Tumblr media
Zuba does not continue chasing the hunters after he gets shot—he is too hurt from his injury
Instead of Central Park Zoo or City Zoo, we are now calling it the New York Zoo
When Nana is interviewed by the news, the caption across the screen reads "Nana: Grand Central Hero". When she notices the camera focusing on her, she yells "What are you looking at?" and whacks it with her purse
When Mort arrives at the plane, Julien and Maurice imply they had tied him up to prevent him from coming
When Alex confesses to breaking Marty's iPod, Marty laments that he'd had 10,000 songs on it. Alex teases him, "Neil Diamond didn't make 10,000 songs." Marty starts hitting him for dissing Neil Diamond
Julien dubs his new kingdom "Madagafrica"
The penguins don't get to run over Nana with the tour jeep :/
While preparing for the Rite of Passage, Alex paints his entire face white with black lipstick and black stars around his eyes, like a mime
Melman has a receptionist named Sandy. The giraffe who tells him about Joe's fate is named Harland.
The scene where Mason and Phil bring the army of chimps to help fix the plane is skipped, RIP "I'd like to kiss you monkey man"
The scene of Nana rallying the tourists is also skipped
The discovery of the dried-up watering hole goes in a slightly different order—when Makunga tells the other animals they'll have to fight for the water, they all assert their preference for Zuba. Makunga then tells them they should go upriver and find out what happened to the water. Alex does not announce himself—after hearing this, he quietly leaves to find Marty.
As they leave the reserve to go upriver, Marty asks how Alex had found him amongst the other zebras. Alex says his line from the very end of the film—"I can look into your eyes and know it's you."—before looking at the scar on Marty's butt
Immediately after this, the story cuts to Marty arguing with Skipper about using the plane and Mason blackmailing Skipper. Several pages later, we have the scene of Alex and Marty finding the dam and being ambushed by the tourists. I'm guessing this is an editing error
Upon finding the dam, instead of pondering dynamite, Alex says they will need more manpower. Marty suggests getting Zuba. Alex replies he was more thinking of the penguins.
One of the zebras who had watched Alex and Marty leave runs to tell Makunga what they're doing. Makunga then goes to retrieve Zuba
Marty still fetches Gloria and Melman from the volcano, but there is no indication they were on the plane for the rescue and they do not appear again for the rest of the book
When Zuba joins Alex in dancing for the tourists, he tells Alex he doesn't know what he's doing. Alex tells him not to worry and, pointing to Zuba's birthmark, says "you were born with it!", echoing Zuba's words from earlier
Nana does not have a gun during the plane escape—Hula Girl subsequently suffers no injuries
Zuba does not insist on him and Alex jointly taking the role of Alpha Lion—Zuba instead accepts his role back and announces that drinks are on him. The book ends here, with no wedding between Skipper and Hula Girl and no penguins leaving with the plane
Mort is never seen again after he falls off the plane in the beginning—we are left to assume he died, smh

I am giving you permission to ramble about Madagascar :333 /silly, gen, pos
HFHSJDHZJZGSJSBAMgzjebmzHSGJS YAYYYYYYY /vpos
my random rambling under the cut !!
OKAY SO i love the weird wack found family potential of madagascar. yeah sure they could just be good friends but come on, they're all they've got. and i think . that it would be fun to add the north wind into the mix. i know some of the fandom doesn't care for em but i do. i absolutely adore everything about the penguins movie. i would die for the penguins movie /exag. and i actually really like the north wind. classified is an asshole but he's my asshole and he could have a good character arc if given the opportunity to reconsider himself. i really like Mister_Rat's interpretation of him in this fic, where he finally acts self aware. corporal is adorable and i think he's a good balance to his boss. i also would love to see more of him and private interacting. short fuse is my baby /silly. i want to know his backstory for some reason. i dislike that eva is a blatant love interest for kowalski, especially because i genuinely like her character. a quiet, confident, smart snowy owl who is the head of intelligence? she's so cool! i really really wish there was more to all of them. and i really really like to imagine how they would interact to the main madagascar cast. i've written some scenes of that exact scenario before and it's been super fun! thinking back to Mister_Rat's fic, i love the idea of the north wind joining the circus. i think it definitely works for a character arc for classified. or maybe even just the north wind crossing paths with the circus. i literally just want them to interact.!! besides the north wind, i've already talked about this a bit but, i love imagining what different mada characters would think about each other. i wrote a lil fic about marty, stefano and rico being friends (because they're all TNT obsessed :3) and thus indirectly causing a growing friendship between alex, vitaly and skipper. similarly to classified, i like thinking about an arc for skipper, where he loosens up a bit. not completely because he's skipper at the end of the day lol, but even just giving him a fleeting thought that he's happy where he is. that saving and helping the zoosters for so long was worth it. also idc the main mada characters would definitely celebrate private's birthday when the penguins return to the circus after the events of the pom movie. he is the absolute baby of not just the penguins but the whole cast
my rambling ends here for today :3 thank you for letting me ramble incoherently about silly lil guys hehehehe /silly gen pos

I am OBSESSED with the Madagascar comics right now. They're delivering everything extra I always wanted out of the franchise. There were so many different plots and events that we never saw on-screen that I always thought about how cool it would be if there was a show or movie or special about them, and these comics are showing these events!
For some examples, there's a Madagascar 3 comic that showcases some of the circus and their adventures before Madagascar 3! DreamWorks Madagascar #3 shows Julien finally returning to Madagascar after the events of the films and shows, and shows how the kingdom has faired in the time since Julien left! DreamWorks Madagascar #2 as well as some of the DreamWorks Classics Presents comics show the zoosters' life on Madagascar in between the first and second film, which is something I always wanted to see more of! Some of the Penguins of Madagascar comics fill in the gap between the penguins film and show, and some of the other Penguins of Madagascar comics show more of the penguins as babies before they arrived at the zoo!
There's just so many awesome new adventures that the films and shows never had time to show, and these comics finally got the chance to show us those moments!

hello shark. my biggest hyperfication a few years ago was the (penguins part of the) madagascar series. boy was I excited when netflix made an original show all about the lemurs that was animated like the movies and everything.
boy was it so weird
so I don't know how much you know about the little brown one, mort, he is obsessed with king julien's feet and in all apparences before this show, was just a weird comic relief/heel. He was very dumb and foot obsessed and that was the joke
then came the show All Hail King Julien
Mort is centuries old. Mort sometimes disassociates between personalities or "different Morts" inside his head, one of them being his grandmother who knows secrets to the universe. If Mort drinks coffee, Smart Mort takes over his body and suddenly he speaks with a trans-atlantic acent and knows literally everything. Mort's brain is actually a pocket universe where several deranged Morts lay relatively dormant for most of the show, until the Apoclypse happens and Mort has to go inside his own head to fight them back from clawing their way out into the world. He then has to fight his grandma Mort to the death in this head pocket universe.
An inventor man on the island creates a cloning machine, but it turns out that it is not cloning people, it is bringing in versions of them from alternate dimensions. Morts come out of it. Apparently there is one single dimension that is solely populated by Morts. at this point in the show, they are all referred to as Morts, he may be a lemur but he is his own species now. The Mort dimensions is lead by a Mort who is a Ghangis Kahn parody, Morticus Kahn. He leads every mort in the dimension like they are a hive mind.
So much shit happens in this show like penguins of madagascar was just about silly ninja secret agent penguins doing weird stuff. All Hail King Julien starts off as a funny, raunchy-humored at times show that is both more childish than it's successor, but takes on really weirdly complex themes for a show like this. The first season is like LOL JULIENS DUMBBB LETS DANCE TO EDM ALL DAY YAYYYY and the rest is about how mort is god and death and hell incarnate
I have never seen anyone talk about this and it lives with me forever because What The Hell Was I Watching??? I don't even know if you know anything about Madagascar but I saw you mention the lemurs and this happened.
this show put lemurs in my head
well I watched the Madagascar movies as a kid & I quite enjoyed the penguins (i have been kin assigned kowalski many times in the past). and I have heard whispers of mort’s dark truths. but this is wonderful information to have you are truly feeding my brain on this wonderful night. thank you

hot take, most of if not all fictional characters can exist in the dc universe (comics version) with like zero problems.
if you tried with the marvel universe it’d just not work, idk why it just doesn’t work.
like I break up the dc universe into 4 parts.
YE OLDEN DAYS
which is anything from prehistoric to end of WW1
No meta’s it’s just normal people
which is like 1910s-2010
in where meta’s (or just people with powers, aliens, magic users whatever) were unheard of, rare, or hidden. But still existed and just weren’t out of hiding yet.
Oh fuck there’s so many meta’s oh shit
Post everyone finding out that aliens and magic and supernatural people exist, and everyone is just “oh, yeah in my home town there’s this guy. He’s super fast and catches bad guys” and just everywhere.
it’s not acceptable to be a meta human but like they exist and live their lives.
THE FUTURE..
in which it is simlatanously amazing and so horrible that time immigrants are a thing, meta’s are accepted and life without them is a distant memory.
also because of the DC universes fast and loose multiverse laws, (WTF even is cannon anymore) people from slightly different or vastly different universes can very easily travel between each other’s worlds.
so with these era’s and parts you can basically fit any media into the dc universe and it’d make sense.
could Hannibal exist in the dc universe? TOTALLY 👍
could shezow? YES 🙌
Rick and Morty? Penguins of Madagascar? whatever!
the universe is not bounded to anything, talking animals and sentient sapient creatures are a normal thing.
crimes and violence and aliens and anything all exist.
3rd wall is broken and whole, there’s paradoxes everywhere and many things can happen at once!
that has been my hot take

Okay, that Private comment made me realize that Canon!Blitzwing is already 3/4ths of the Penguins of Madagascar. Hothead is a less charismatic and more brutish Skipper, Icy is literally just Kowalski’s Transformersona, and Random is Rico if he talked more often, not to mention how all of them are complete menaces to society that serve as a one-mech military unit who are surprisingly effective at their job and regularly alternate between being incredibly smart and incredibly stupid. At this point I’m genuinely surprised more people haven’t considered the “Blitzwing had a different personality prior to becoming a Triple Changer” idea as a way to complete the quartet, but then again if you aren’t paying close attention it can be hard to tell whether each face is their own person or if they’re all different aspects of a single personality.
On a side note, I loved that scene in Transformers Animated where Blitzwing was being cornered by Autobots after being stripped of his weapons and responded by having Random take control, who then coughed up a missile launcher and proceeded to give them the thrashing of a lifetime with it much to their shock and horror. Truly, one of the moments in Transformers history.
Truly one of the moments, truly truly *spent the prior 44 minutes watching two episodes of TFA to scour for evidence* 😔👌
I guess associating a robot with three faces, one probably intended to simply act as one less than cohesive unit as a representation of triple changer-ness in bot mode over actual representation of DID, to three quarters of a penguin spy team was a little bit of a stretch of the imagination thanks to not having any names in common- I mean, I certainly didn't notice until Private (original frame Blitz not the penguin) got his name. Not to say NO ONE made the connection but, at least it's not been very vocal haha!
I'm just pondering either Icy or Hothead to front again after Random coughed up a launcher and just go 'Damn it not again!'- I mean it IS Random afterall that seems to have eating on the mind (servo salad and Autobot snowcones for instance), seems that any old scrap of metal would find it's way into his teeth much to the rest of the body's chagrin-!

It would have been a predictable and well-deserved route for DreamWorks to adapt the best aspect of their Madagascar franchise. There was also a television series based on their adventures at New York Zoo, but this is an unrelated project, based on their upcoming adventures.
Set after the third Madagascar, the penguins grow annoyed by the constant music and then decide to have their own adventure. From there, they come across a villainous octopus called Dave who desires to turn all of the penguin kind into monsters so that the world won’t find them cute. So the penguins all team up to try and stop Dave along with a band of animal agents who attempt to arrest him.
So, I’ll go back to the first three movies where the penguins were pretty much the highlight of each of them. Before, they’re presented as action-packed spies who could straight-up knock anyone out. In this, they’re more centred on being the comedic tagalongs who aren’t as capable as they were before. The storyline was mainly the basic spy comedy, but to the film’s credit, it didn’t entirely have to focus on the whole plot, as its main intention was to have fun with its premise. Also towards its credit, the movie’s comedy could work at times, mostly with some solid attention to detail and a few witty lines. The best joke was easily their introduction as chicks, where Kowalski just straightforward tells the newborn Private that they’re doomed.
With series’ director, Eric Darnell, they were able to recapture the chaotic speeds that these characters had. They managed to maintain their high speed pursuits from the original franchise when these penguins are always on the go during high skirmishes. These penguins didn’t fail when it came to these comedic scenarios, coming together as one fighting machine when pursued against the octopi in Venice. A good majority of the animation worked well with the villain’s design, as due to his species, he’s able to move ever so sneakily across the scenes. It all came together with a solid climax between penguin and octopi, which was something worth watching at the end of his rather decent romp.
The penguins are how you remember with Skipper as the headstrong leader, Kowalski the intelligent second-in-command, gibberish-speaking Rico and Private the young underdog. They’re reprised with their original voice-actors, only for Rico’s garbling noises were done by director, Conrad Vernon. While they have their characteristics, the connection they all share involve a brotherly relationship between each-other, mainly with Skipper as the commanding leader while Private is seen as the youngest to be protected. The handling of this differed from the secret agent teamwork where it focused more on Skipper giving Private the lesser tasks; this was the whole generic storyline featuring the underdog ignored throughout before finally becoming of importance at the last minute.
Who joined the titular flightless birds were the North Wind, while posing as rivals as a way to prove their leadership with far more superior plans. This included the wolf leader voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch whose vocals worked well with the attempt at a professional type until he’s exasperated with the penguins’ antics.
The best character was the octopus, Dave, who started off with a rather petty backstory that began his hatred of penguins, as he wasn’t seen as cute as those back in the aquarium. With a highly-excessive motivation for mutating penguins, this type of character worked in a premise similar to a wacky villain from a Nickelodeon show. As an octopus, he was able to shift his colours to disguise himself as a human, similar to a Megamind concept, easily taking the people’s attention and approval like the gullible crowd they were. His army consisted of octopi that used blubbering sounds, but were named after celebrities with actions, examples including “Nicholas, cage them” or “Kevin, bake on”.
So, if you liked the Madagascar movies or the spin-off show with the penguins, I think you’d wont be truly disappointed with this feature. It gave you what it promised, but it’s not my movie.
Final Rating: D

On why fiction matters.
I've been feeling pretty gloomy, but I read a fic and it made me forget about that, and I a managed to just indulge in happiness.
Often when I'm less than okay, I ask myself 'what's the point' and well, this is the answer. There is no point. sometimes people will force you into things you don't like because they love the idea of you being "normal", sometimes you will go down with a cold because a bacteria decided that it now has control of your consciousness, and sometimes a stranger on the internet will write something so fucking sappy about characters that doesn't even exist that you lose all sense of dread and believe that world peace is a thing that exists. None of this makes any fucking sense, nor does it have any goddamn reason. Does that mean it doesn't matter? No. It means you get to decide what matters to you.
The universe doesn't give a shit whether you think Penguins of Madagascar is the best movie of all time or you think trans people don't exist. the only difference between those two opinions is that one gives you happiness and the other only exists to harm others.

Tagged by @i-hate-liking-batman 💕 again thanks for the tag, I like these activities.
✔️10 characters, 10 fandoms, 10 tags. Here you go-
1. Gaap Goemon ❤️ Mairimashita Iruma kun
Tumblr media
Anyone who follows me probably know that he's my #1 favourite character. I love him so much. I spend hours doing something for this fictional character, even though it consumes my time and energy. But in the end, I feel happy. He's the most handsome guy in my eyes. He is sweet and cute, cooks and serves food for everyone, rescues the weak and takes care of them. His love is unconditional. I should stop here or this post would end up talking only about him!
2. Teufel Shaoron 😈💕- Makai no shuyaku wa ware ware da
Tumblr media
Chubby cheeked Shaoron ❤️ he is a true High school boy. He reminds me of naughty ones at school. I can also see myself in him sometimes, having a rival who doesn't even know I've proclaimed them as my rival lol.. trying to be the best, getting into trouble, problems with best friends, goofing around..how is this different from a real high school? I love his fashion and bubbly nature ❤️ He makes mistakes, most of the time being naughty but he's a good boy. That's what a real boy his age is like.
3. Doraemon ❤️
Tumblr media
Though I don't post about Doraemon, I love him and I love the whole show. It's heart touching, the relationship between Doraemon and Nobita. Nobita being an emotionally rich boy, his comfort is always Doraemon. This show has such a big emotional value. Doraemon is that friend who awaits him in his room eating dorayaki and the boy forgets all his school struggles and embraces his brother ❤️ there are no boundaries between them. I love Doraemon.
4. Kengo Asamura ❤️🥰- Monochrome Factor
Tumblr media
A lot of people don't know Monochrome Factor. If you do, you're my friend. I love this manga and I love Kengo ❤️ He's like a caring big brother. Has been my comfort character for a long time. He's cheerful and cute, voiced by Hiroshi kamiya. His best friend is Akira Nikaido voiced by Daisuke Ono, who enters into a contract with a shadow man called shirogane voiced by Junichi suwabe. The trio is here right? MF is also an amazing fantasy High school story. In the end Kengo sacrifices his life (manga) but in the anime he's alive and I wish to believe that.
5. King Julien 👑
Tumblr media
The king of Madagascar! He appears in his own series All Hail king Julien and in The penguins of Madagascar and Madagascar movies as well. Like Shaoron, king Julien is also a very realistic portrayal of humans. He's not at all perfect but he's just perfect to be loved, to kin yourself with and he conquers your heart like a king! He doesn't have the typical qualities of a king nor he tries to live up to others expectations. He rules the Kingdom his own way by not sacrificing his hobbies and interests. I want to be like him. We should all learn from him. We don't have to sacrifice everything for the sake of something great. We should be ourselves.
6. Naruto uzumaki 🥹❤️- Naruto, Naruto shippuden, spin off, Boruto
Tumblr media
Naruto 🥰❤️ he made my childhood days magical. I heard the word ninja for the first time in Naruto. I first watched the English dub before getting access to internet and streaming sites. It took me a period of years to finish everything and I consider it as a personal record ☺️ Boruto is ongoing and I watch it too but my favourite is always Naruto. Especially the child Naruto who is naughty, stubborn and cheerful.
7. Xerxes Break 🍭🍬🍫- Pandora Hearts
Tumblr media
Break is my favourite character from Pandora Hearts. ❤️ He is sweet toothed, wears fancy clothes and has the kind of fantasy vibe that inspires me. He is goofy despite carrying a burden in his heart and in his conversation with Oz about the Abyss he asks him something. "Did it(abyss) look like a broken toy box?" That touched me. That's the whole spirit of Pandora Hearts. A dystopian Alice in Wonderland ❤️
8. Kagura ❤️ - Inuyasha
Tumblr media
Kagura is my favourite from Inuyasha. She's an antagonist but I love her. I wish she lived and married Sesshomaru or lived the life she wanted, free like the wind. I love her line " I am the wind, the free wind". She is so beautiful and I think as a little girl I fell in love with her.
9. Pratheek 🥰🍭 - Ra. One
Tumblr media
He's the protagonist of the Indian musical movie Ra. One that focuses on a hero and villain from a game coming to life. The villain Ravan is after "Lucifer" (pratheek) the player who defeats him always, when he comes to life. Pratheek is the son of the video game developer. He reminds me of Shaoron.
10. Anjali ❤️😘 - kuch kuch hota hai

Multituberculate Earth: Birds
(As with all animal pages so far, this only goes so far into the Oligocene… for now)
At first, the avifauna of this timeline evolved much as ours. Only the toothless crown birds survived the KT event (though outliers like Qinornis may indicate other lineages survived briefly; one study did note the similarities between pelagornithids and ichthyornithids, but it hasn’t made the plunge), several lineages quickly producing megafauna to replace non-avian dinosaurs and other great reptiles. Gastornithiforms and ratites occupied large herbivore niches on land, pelagornithids and lithornithids attained large wingspans as competing pterosaurs ceased to exist and giant penguins and plotopterids were the first vertebrates to occupy large predatory niches at sea (barring sharks of course). To say nothing of the massive variety of smaller birds like stem-tropicbirds, the passerine-like zygodactylids and carnivorous parrots.
But the absence of an Azolla Event put avian evolution in a very different track from the Eocene onwards. For starters, without a mid-Eocene cooling to alter forest biomes, lithornithids and presbyornithids didn’t decline, thus preventing an opening for several lineages like cranes, storks and pelecaniforms. Many groups that depended on the cooling temperatures, like seagulls and relatives, also did not get the opening they wished for. Some modern groups you might assume quintessential, like ducks and shorebirds, were either greatly crippled or did not get to rise.
Likewise, the evolution of flying mammals put some pressures on birds that our bats didn’t have, but for the most part both groups managed to co-exist. Niche partitioning is easy when you can fly anywhere to get resources, after all, and birds are no strangers to it given how they co-existed with pterosaurs and other Mesozoic flyers for over one hundred million years.
By far the greatest challenge faced by birds thus far was the Grand Coupure, leading to a dramatic collapse of forest habitats. For European and Balkanatolian flightless birds it was particularly hard as their isolation in Europe came to a drastic end, but several flightless lineages remained in the Oligocene.
Because there are lots of Cenozoic bird groups, some more understood than others, this is something of a work in progress. However, I will list the bird groups that I have most assuredly set in stone.
Palaeognaths
The so called “old jaws” might be something of a misnomer, as some Cretaceous birds already had a neognath palate and their own palate is much more advanced than in some other early birds, but regardless they do invoke that prehistoric mystique. In our timeline the sole survivors are the flightless ratites + tiny tinamous, animals that truly seem to come from the era of the dinosaurs.
In this timeline, ratites similarly diversified, with rheas and other poorly understood taxa in South America and Antarctica, members of the cassowary/emu line in Australia, elephant birds in Madagascar (and possibly mainland Afro-Arabia) and a variety of stem-ostriches in North America, Europe and Asia. But it is another group, the flying lithornithids, that remain the most diverse and arguably spectacular group.
In our timeline, lithornithids started the Cenozoic in style, dispersing across the northern continents as forest dwelling probers like modern woodcocks. They were far more efficient flyers than our timeline’s surviving flying paleognaths, the tinamous, there being evidence of migratory behaviour and stork-like soaring, and some species attained quite large sizes. In our timeline the mid-Eocene cooling seems to have doomed them, but in the prolonged hothouse conditions of this timeline they managed to acclimate and diversify further.
Some lineages were lost in the Grand Coupure, but those that survived were ready for the spread of open habitats. Many forms occupy niches taken in our world by cranes and storks, prowling the steppes or stalking the swamps for small animals and nutrious plant matter. Others have diversified as shorebird analogues, probing along the coastlines. Some conversely became smaller and hoopoe-like; lithornithids were already more efficient perchers than other palaeognaths, so a few managed to capitalize on arboreal niches.
Though efficient flyers, lithornithids lack tails, relying mostly on their own wings for steering (for reference, see videos on tailless kites or hawks). Like in their ratite cousins it is the male that protects the eggs and offpsring, though in some derived species the young are superprecocial and can fly soon after birth, a condition seen in many Mesozoic birds. Many species have glossy eggs and feathers like cassowaries.
Other than lithornithids, there seems to be some other flying palaeognaths about. The stem-ostrich Eogrus for example is traditionally considered capable of at least some flying abilities, while flying stem-kiwis must be around somewhere given Proapteryx. And, of course, there’s the ancestors of tinamous, which have not yet debuted in the fossil reccord for some reason (in both timelines).
Pelagornithids
The so called “pseudo-toothed” birds due to tooth-like serrations in their bills, these seabirds are a mystery. Sometimes they are grouped among albatrosses and other higher waterbirds, other times they’re considered closely related to waterfowl, with most recent studies putting them in a polytomy between both groups. As mentioned above there is a study that does note similarities between their jaws and those of aquatic toothed seabirds, and given that their serrations seem to share a true molecular origin with teeth I wouldn’t be surprised if they were surviving toothed seabirds all along.
Anyways, besides the “teeth” (which were acquired late in life, implying prolonged parental care) the most notable feature of pelagornithids is their size. These are easily the largest flying birds of all time, some reaching wingspans of over 7 meters. Because they lack the quadrupedal launching of flying mammals and pterosaurs, they compensated by become extremely lightweight like living kites, thus while they look fearsome they most hunt small, soft prey like squids. Its even possible they can’t flap their wings anymore, relying solely on thermal soaring like modern frigatebirds (and not dynamic soaring like albatrosses), to which they can be considered close analogues if much larger.
While the evolution of giant insulonycteriids might seem like a disaster for these enormous birds, in truth both groups get along just fine (most of the time). The giant flying mammals are most robust and can hunt proportionally larger prey and even dive, so if the pelagornithids are the frigatebirds the insulonycteriids are the albatrosses and gannets.
Pelagornithids in both timelines have been extrariordinarily resilient, surviving from the PETM and Grand Coupure in spite of their effects to the marine biosphere. They died out in our timeline just as humans evolved, for unclear reasons; we’ll see if they have better luck here.
Gastornithiformes
Like ratites gastornithiforms lost the ability to fly and attained large sizes, occupying the niches left by ceratopsians and other herbivorous dinosaurs. They are clearly galloanseres, though its currently debated if they are closer to waterfowl or to galliforms.
Like ratites, they attained a cosmopolitan distribution, with gastornithids in the northern continents, dromornithids in Australia and Brontornis in South America, though gastornithids disappeared from Asia and North America in the PETM. Unlike ratites they have massive, powerful beaks, apt to crush through seeds and harsh plant matter like branches. In Europe they in fact were the most common megafauna, with few large mammals, much like in our timeline. With the Grand Coupure the collapse of rainforests and the arrival of Asian predatory mammals they disappeared from the former island continent, but they continued to thrive in Australia and in South America.
Presbyornithids
Tumblr media
Presbyornithids are a clade of long legged waterfowl that first evolved in the Cretaceous and attained a diversity peak during the Paleocene, before declining in the Eocene of our timeline, reduced to only the terrestrial, goose-like Wilaru by the Miocene. This is often attributed to competition with anatid waterfowl, but studies show that they were incapable of filter-feeding, so they must have occupied fairly different ecological niches at the water’s edge.
In this timeline, they kept thriving thanks to the continuous hotshouse conditions, and more overtly diversified in piscivorous and crustacean eater niches akin to those of shoebills, spoonbills and even pelicans and ibises. Consequently, many of these waterbirds did not evolve in this timeline.
A partiular clade related to Wilaru kept exploring terrestrial biomes. These developed a novel way to process food: chewing it. Yes, some birds can chew (even used in the past to explain phylogenetic relationships between cuckoos and mousebirds before genetics said nah), using the cranial kinesis common to all crown birds to slide the upper jaw against the lower jaw in a pestle and mortar like way.
These birds, the Chakranatids, found thus a way to not only process plant matter more efficient while minimising fermentation, so they for the most part retained the ability to fly. Still, some have become large flightless herbivores, a distant echo of the Mesozoic hadrosaurs.
Palaelodids
The niche of ducks was instead taken by a decidedly non-waterfowl clade: the palaeolodids, relatives to flamingos and grebes. Neither divers or specialised filter-feeders (barring some species), these birds are rather generalistic, adapted to swim and catch small animals and plants with their broad beaks. They first debuted in the Oligocene in both timelines, though they might have a potentially older origin given grebes and flamingos split further back in the Cenozoic and Eocene fossil birds like Juncitarsus seem to represent the last common ancestor between these three groups.
Coliiformes
(A suggestion by Tozarkt777 on reddit)
In our timeline’s Paleocene, before passerines had evolved and spread to the northern hemisphere, the songbird niche was held by the Coliformes, an order that now only includes the mousebirds in our timeline, but back then comprised of many more species and many more niches, from generalistic grain-feeders to raptorial forms. They were most diverse in the Paleocene and Eocene before losing ground from there onwards.
Their decline likely is attributed to the PETM, and with the warm conditions of Multituberculate Earth having been maintained, so did mousebird rule. These are now the dominant small birds in the northern and African canopies, passerines now mostly restricted to small insectivores and nectivores.
Cariamiformes
Tumblr media
Represented by the vicious little seriemas in our timeline’s present, this group is best known for producing the infamous terror birds. However, a variety of other extinct groups also existed in the early Cenozoic, including another clade of infamous flightless killers, the bathornithids. Though known from usually more fragmentary remains, they too were incapable of flying and had deep, powerful beaks, well suited to tear flesh.
Proving that mammals still oughta fear theropods, the terror birds spread far and wide in the Eocene. Eleutherornis and relatives terrorised Europe while Lavocatavis and kin terrorised Africa; it is in fact unclear if terror birds evolved in the Old World and later raft/swam (or flew, if the last common ancestor still could fly) to South America like many mammals did or if inversely it went the other way around. We do know at least that Eleutherornis is a late comer to Europe as it arrived only in the mid-Eocene, so the group likely didn’t evolve there, though many other cariamiform groups were present, from the crow-like Salmila to the herbivorous, also flightless Strigogyps.
Meanwhile, South America was host to a larger diversity of terror birds, and across the sea North America was ruled by a large diversity of bathornithids. Both groups co-existed with predatory mammals in both timelines, and attained large sized species over two meters tall. The African and European species seem to have gone extinct in the Grand Coupure – the later doubtlessly affected by the extinction of indigenous prey and the arrival of new competitors – but the Americas saw an adaptive radiation in response to the spread of open grasslands. Predatory mammal groups may rise and fall, but these dinosaurs seem to be a constant, though for how long remains to be seen.
Besides large predatory forms, there are a variety of other poorly understood forms, like the aforementioned European species. Some, like Elaphrocnemus, appear to have been efficient flyers, less adapted to run like their terrestrial cousins but capable of soaring for long distances. while others like Qianshanornis seem to have been functionally similar to hawks and eagles. Most of these groups died out in the Grand Coupure, unable to cope with the loss of forest habitats.

Fossilized Remains of 340-Pound Giant Penguin Found in New Zealand
— Sputnik | Wednesday February 08, 2023
Tumblr media
There are 17 to 19 species of penguins living today, most in the Southern Hemisphere. Also found in New Zealand and parts of Zealandia, are other flightless birds - like an ancestor to New Zealand’s beloved Kiwi and a giant “elephant bird” that also lived in Madagascar as recently as 800 years ago.
Fossilized remains of the largest penguin known to science were recently discovered in New Zealand, shocking researchers who determined the massive bird weighed hundreds of pounds.
Named Kumimanu Fordycei, Paleontologists believe the species could have weighed up to 340 pounds. By comparison, the average adult Male Western Lowland Gorilla Weighs about 300 pounds.
The fossil was discovered in a 57-million-year-old boulder that had been cracked open with the tides. Along with it they also found the remains of several individual specimens of another large but not quite as big previously undiscovered ancient penguin named Petradyptes stonehousei and fragments of two smaller yet-unnamed species of ancient penguins.
Scientists estimate the newly-discovered penguins lived around 60 million years ago. Petradyptes, they estimate, weighed around 110 pounds, far smaller than the Kumimanu, but still large for a penguin. The emperor penguin, the largest penguin on Earth today, can weigh up to just 88 pounds.
The fossils were discovered by Alan Tennyson, a paleontologist at the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa in 2017, but were described and named on Wednesday in the Journal of Paleontology.
Most of what scientists know about the Kumimanu fordycei came from a humerus bone, which was nine and a half inches long - about twice the length of those in the emperor penguin.
Paleontologists have been unable to determine the height of the ancient giant penguin but one estimated that it probably stood about 5 feet 2 inches. That gives the giant penguin a stocky build - the average aforementioned Western Lowland Gorilla 🦍 stands at about 6 feet while being roughly 40 pounds lighter.
Coming from an older branch of the tree of the penguin evolutionary tree, both the Kumimanu and Petradyptes differed in appearance from modern day penguins in more ways than just their size. Paleontologists say they had primitive flippers that resembled flying and diving birds like puffins. Their leg structure was also angled forward, unlike modern penguins whose legs are shaped like an upside down “L” coming out of their spine.

Scientists Discover New Penguin Colony in Antarctica Using Satellite Imagery (January 20, 2023)! “This is an exciting discovery. The new satellite images of Antarctica's coastline have enabled us to find many new colonies. And whilst this is good news, like many of the recently discovered sites, this colony is small and in a region badly affected by recent sea ice loss,” the British Antarctic Survey's Dr Peter Fretwell said.

'Human-Sized Penguin' Uncovered by New Zealand Schoolchildren Reveals Ancient Species (09/17/202)!
Mike Safely, president of the Hamilton Junior Naturalist Club, says this is an experience that the children involved will remember for the rest of their lives. “It was a rare privilege for the kids in our club to have the opportunity to discover and rescue this enormous fossil penguin.”
Dr. Daniel Thomas, a senior lecturer in zoology from Massey’s School of Natural and Computational Sciences, determined that the fossil was between 27.3 million and 34.6 million years old. Thomas compared the identified species to the Kairaku penguins that were first described from Otago, but with much longer legs.
"Longer legs would have made the penguin much taller than other Kairuku species while it was walking on land; perhaps around 1.4m tall, and may have influenced how fast it could swim or how deep it could dive."
New Zealand has been a hot spot for finding ancient penguin fossils. In 2017, a closely related Kumimanu biceae was described as living just a few million years after the fordycei and weighed 220 pounds. The slightly slimmer giant penguin had a sharp “stork-like” beak that researchers think may have been used to stab prey. The beak of the Kuminmanu fordycei has not yet been discovered.
In 2021, a 4.5-feet tall penguin with unusually long legs was described after a group of students in a fossil hunting club found fossilized remains on a small peninsula in the Kawhia Harbor during a field trip.
One explanation for why giant penguins thrived at the time is because they evolved shortly after the meteor that killed off the dinosaurs hit Earth. That impact also killed most of the sea-faring reptiles, leaving a niche open for a large amphibious predator to fill their space. Sea-faring mammals, like seals and whales, had not yet evolved. Paleontologists hypothesize that once mammals reentered the sea, the giant penguins were out-competed and only the smaller penguins survived.
It is also worth noting that scientists now believe New Zealand and the Island of New Caledonia are a part of the Earth’s eighth continent, with most of the landmass sitting below the sea. This continent is known as Zealandia, which they believe broke off from the Southern Hemisphere supercontinent of Gondwana about 105 million years ago.
What would become Zealandia then stretched out in a process scientists don’t yet understand. Scientists are still debating if most Zealandia was always submerged, with just small islands poking out, or if it sank at one point. In either case, a sinking continent or a collection of islands make for a natural habitat for penguins. If it did sink, scientists estimate that it would have taken over a hundred million years, meaning the giant penguins could have lived while much of Zealandia was still above sea level.

Madagascar 2 Novelization Details & Changes
Marty still fetches Gloria and Melman from the volcano, but there is no indication they were on the plane for the rescue and do not appear again for the rest of the book
When Zuba joins Alex in dancing for the tourists, he tells Alex he doesn't know what he's doing. Alex tells him not to worry and, pointing to Zuba's birthmark, says "you were born with it!", mirroring Zuba's words from earlier
I have the novelizations of all four movies but I've never actually read them, gonna do that this weekend and see if there are any fun book-exclusive details
