Dara Ironing Board Functional for The Sims 2
This is cloned from PcSims Laundry Center Ironing Board and works in the same way. I only changed the meshes to make it more modern. New meshes are 4to2 conversions from Dara Sims Laundry Set, low poly. Found in Big Appliances. (I dind't have the time to make all the recolor pictures so I added the original pic).
**NEWS**: Now clothes on the board will change randomly from sweater to shirt, skirt, blouse, underwear and jeans!

Is Your Ironing Setup Holding You Back? Here’s How the Right Ironing Board Can Fix It!

We often overlook the importance of a good ironing board, thinking any flat surface will do. But the truth is, a low-quality or unstable ironing board can make ironing slow, tiring, and even painful. If you’ve ever struggled with back pain, unstable boards, or persistent wrinkles, keep reading.
Why Your Ironing Experience Feels Like a Struggle
Most people don’t realise how much an ironing board affects their daily routine. Let’s look at some common problems that arise from using the wrong setup:
❌ Back & Shoulder PainEver felt sore after ironing? That’s because using a low table or non-adjustable board forces you to bend over, leading to back and shoulder strain. A proper ironing board with adjustable height ensures a comfortable position and saves you from unnecessary discomfort.
❌ Wobbly & Unstable SurfacesIroning on an unstable board can be frustrating. If the surface shakes, moves, or tips over, it’s a sign that your board isn’t sturdy enough. A good-quality board with non-slip feet and a strong frame keeps everything stable, making ironing effortless.
❌ Persistent Wrinkles & Uneven IroningNo matter how much effort you put in, some clothes just don’t seem to smooth out. The problem? A thin, uneven board cover. A well-padded, heat-resistant cover helps distribute heat evenly, ensuring crisp, wrinkle-free results.
❌ Wasting Time & EnergyWhen the board is too small, you spend more time adjusting and repositioning clothes than actually ironing. A wide surface lets you iron larger garments easily, cutting down ironing time significantly.
How the Right Ironing Board Transforms the Experience
let’s talk about solutions. A good ironing board isn’t just about convenience—it’s about efficiency, comfort, and better results. Here’s how the right one makes a difference:
✅ Adjustable Height = No More Back PainA board with height adjustment ensures you can iron comfortably without bending too much. This is especially useful for those who spend long hours ironing.
✅ Strong, Sturdy Frame = Hassle-Free IroningA sturdy metal frame and non-slip feet ensure stability, preventing shaking and movement. This makes ironing quicker, easier, and safer.
✅ Padded, Heat-Resistant Cover = Wrinkle-Free ClothesA high-quality cover with foam padding and heat resistance ensures even heat distribution, allowing you to iron efficiently without burning your clothes.
✅ Spacious Surface = Faster IroningA wide board lets you spread out clothes properly, ironing them in fewer strokes. This saves time, especially when dealing with larger garments like sarees or bed sheets.
What to Look for in an Ironing Board?
If you’re planning to upgrade, here are key features to look for:
🔹 Adjustable Height – Avoids strain on your back and shoulders. 🔹 Wide Surface – Allows for easy ironing of large garments. 🔹 Non-Slip Feet – Keeps the board stable, even on tiled floors. 🔹 Heat-Resistant Cover – Prevents fabric damage and speeds up ironing. 🔹 Foldable & Space-Saving – Easy to store when not in use.
Why Bathla Ironing Boards Are a Great Choice?
If you’re looking for a high-quality ironing board built for Indian homes, Bathla offers some of the best options. Here’s why:
✔️ Sturdy & Durable – No more shaky or unstable ironing surfaces. ✔️ Customisable Height – Adjust to your ideal level for comfortable ironing. ✔️ Non-Slip Feet – Ensures stability on any surface. ✔️ Heat-Resistant Cover – Protects fabrics and speeds up ironing. ✔️ Compact & Foldable – Easy to store when not in use.
Final Thoughts
Ironing is already a task—why make it harder with the wrong setup? A good ironing board isn’t just an accessory; it’s a game-changer. Investing in a sturdy, well-designed ironing board will make the process faster, easier, and more comfortable.

Learn how to make an easy Ironing Board on Wheels. The only thing they didn't do that I would do is to put the Ironing Board itself on a board with hinges so you can still use the top bin without losing storage space. https://ikeahackers.net/2019/09/ironing-board-on-wheels-diy.html#comment-385023

Wear and tear (MM) by Millie Cruz (On and Off) Via Flickr: A piece of fabric from my small ironing board, which is very used and burned. So much so that I haven't changed it yet because I barely use it and because it has shark jaws that were left with the hot iron. So you can see what stains I'm talking about, you can see the other photo I uploaded. The longest length of this photo is about 2". Macro Mondays: Wear and Tear

Simpsons: "Iron Marge" (S35E6)
At 🌙, a vehicle accident happens & Marge gets criticised for her robe, not to mention people setting 🚨⏰️s even Homer wants to be the #1 alarmy. Because of Marges 🎂, Bart & Lisa go to a 🎯 store & discover a Junior 🕵♀️ kit, then have given her another 🎯-branded ironing board, which was a terrible 🎁 (IDK why Ned was at her 🥳). At the 🏞, Homer & Agnes (who just want to be #1 alarmies) set needless ⏰️🚨s over minor innocent things & fall down a 🚢🕳 caused by themselves. Soon, Bart & Lisa discover Marges BFF from her childhood, Petey the 🦜 so they go to other people who knew him the most (because they would be able to find him since 🦜s can live for 80 years) & Bart tells them to stay in town meaning they are not allowed to go to relatives 🏩 (😡). Marge is shown her 🦜 who starts to cause havoc in her bedroom. What was really meant she wanted a 🐱 & she only had Petey because he could meow like a 😸. During the credits, Marge got a beautiful robe.
It just mattered for Marge needing something, I thought the ♂️ Simpsons were being 😠 by sending needless ⏰️🚨s & not letting people go to 🏩s outta town, & what happened to Homer at the end.
